Thank you once more for all your patience and I hope you enjoy this chapter, it's not very long but I hope it makes the cut hahaha Goodbye and I hope you like it!
Just after leaving the fancy restaurant, Tatsuya started running. He didn't know where he was going, he didn't even know where to start looking, he just knew he had to find Hiroto. So he ran, grateful for having strong legs that let him put upside down the hotel in just a few minutes. First, the public spaces and the halls, those immense halls that Tatsuya found almost eternal as he ran from one to another, and much to his dismay, Hiroto was nowhere to be seen.
Next, the pools, Hiroto liked silent places when he was anxious. Normally the swimming pools would have been filled up with people, but at nights they were closed so nobody had anything to do there, and Hiroto, freaking rebellious troublesome Hiroto, probably didn't give a damn about that issue. So Tatsuya speeded up even more, reached the swimming pools, barged into them and went as far as diving into all of them in case Hiroto had decided to submerge inside. And thanks to his luck, Hiroto had decided not to drown himself to death.
Feeling his lungs giving out because he had been running at full speed for 15 minutes, which usually wouldn't be a problem to Tatsuya, but now, considering his mental state, it was truly a miracle that he had been able to fucking throw himself in 12 pools and check a huge hotel in such a short period of time.
Still refusing to give up, Tatsuya went running to their room. He was soaking wet, practically breathless and his heart hurt more than when he was left abandoned. Hiroto… he didn't deserve any of that, he didn't deserve anything that Seijirou had told him, he didn't deserve to be through so much pain. He just… deserved happiness, a loving family, and to enjoy himself, be his true self without being scared and just- just receive that love that had been taken away from him.
Biting down his tears, Tatsuya entered the lift in order to arrive faster to his room. He didn't care that he was leaving the corridor of the dorms completely wet, water still falling from his bangs and his feet marking every single step he would take. After getting out of the lift, he immediately ran frontline and opened his room's door with the designated card, and much to his chagrin, Hiroto was nowhere to be seen. Unable to bite down his tears anymore, he let some of them escape his eyes.
Tatsuya couldn't even feel his legs anymore, the only emotion he had on his being at that very moment was worry, the most painful, devastating worry, that kind of worry that made breathing impossible and left him at full animal instinct. At full over-protectiveness.
He had to find Hiroto, no matter what.
He exited the room after double checking it and literally hacked the door to Seijirou's room. Tatsuya gave absolutely no fucks about invading his Father's room, absolutely zero damns, he was acting out of pure primarial instinct. He let his eyes scan the room once, twice, and even went to the balcony to find his dear boyfriend. But nothing, Hiroto was not there, Hiroto was nowhere to be seen. A wave of anxiety made its way to his weak heart, and he fearfully forced his vision downwards, trying to make out if Hiroto had thrown himself out of the balcony.
And now, much to his luck, he found nothing.
Hiroto hadn't killed himself, good. Fucking great.
Tatsuya got out of the room as fast as possible without touching anything and carefully closed the door behind him, leaving no trail of his journey apart from his wet footprints that made a path from the lift towards his room and Father's. Well, at some point they had to dry, so Tatsuya just hoped that they would disappear before Seijirou decided to come back.
But now that he was looking directly at the floor, something seemed odd about that path, about his footprints. Just after leaving the lift, they looked different, as if they were of a different shape…
Oh, fuck. Hiroto used to be a delinquent.
Without giving it a second thought, Tatsuya broke into the room that was located closer to the lift, because after 20 minutes of arduous chasing, every single clue about Hiroto's location was more than fucking welcomed.
He opened the door just as he had opened Seijirou's, illegally, and was received with darkness, just absolute darkness, and the sound of water running along with some soft sobs. Tatsuya felt his heart breaking, he knew whose sobs were those, he knew who always forced himself to not make a sound. He knew who was always afraid of making a sound when crying because he thought it would be an inconvenience, because it would make him look vulnerable, weak, broken.
Tatsuya just knew who was in that dark, almost ominous bathroom.
So after closing the door, he lit up the room and threw himself into Hiroto's weak arms as if it was the last thing that he wanted to do in his life.
And Hiroto corresponded, his weak sobs now becoming much stronger than before and letting himself melt into Tatsuya's protective, caring hug. They didn't know how long they spent crying, hugging as their tears made the rest of their clothes wet again and just letting all the pain out.
Hiroto was completely broken, his breathing so full of anxiety and nerves that made it impossible for him to actually stop crying. He couldn't stop crying. The pain was way too powerful to resist it, the feeling of Tatsuya's body on his was still too good but at the same time too deadly, too painful, because he wasn't allowed to have it.
But Tatsuya refused to let go, not even after feeling Hiroto trying to pull away, not even when his bones were freezing to death due to the cold water they were in, he refused to lose Hiroto one more time. So he stayed, tears still relentlessly falling but somehow managing to talk:
"We'll work it out, Hiroto, we will get through this. Just- just gimme time to think about an alternative, I'll, I'll do something. Don't worry, love, don't worry."
Hiroto's tears only got stronger, and he felt no strength left to fight his impulses. Tatsuya… He wanted him, he wanted to stay with him. So he cried, continued crying as his boyfriend kept on telling him that they would manage to get through it, cried as Tatsuya pulled him to his chest and played with his curls caringly, cried until he ran out of tears.
They stayed there for seconds, minutes, hours, they didn't know how long, they just stayed. Pain was still present on their hearts, on their beings, on their souls, because it was not fair what was happening.
"How… how did you find me?" Hiroto said, voice hoarse and broken, eyes still closed tightly.
Tatsuya moved from his position delicately, trying to not move Hiroto with him, and entered the bathtub completely, making Hiroto lay on him and continued to caress his curls. Relaxing, calm, peaceful, Tatsuya just wanted to make Hiroto feel as comfortable as possible in those sensitive moments.
"It took me a while. First I went to all the public areas, thinking you would have recurred to alcohol or to other… Stuff so as to forget. But you weren't there, so I tried the swimming pools. I know you like the feeling of cold water against your skin when you are sad. But you weren't there either, so I went to our room. Surprise, you weren't there, so I snuck into that fucker's room and tried to find you."
Hiroto felt his lips slightly curving upwards at Tatsuya's aggressive vocabulary when talking about his dad, slightly, he had no strength and no will to do anything more. But still, it was surprisingly satisfying hearing the always calm and loving Tatsuya insulting the old man.
"Nothing, so I got out and I saw that my wet footprints were a bit different just after leaving the lift. One plus one made sense in my mind, so I got into this room."
"Meanie, you will get in trouble, idiot."
"You too, and I love getting in trouble with you."
"One plus one again on your mind?"
"Yes." Tatsuya replied, his smile becoming soft and his eyes shining caringly, lovingly "I… I couldn't leave you alone. I… I don't want to leave you alone, ever, Hiroto."
Hiroto slowly opened his eyes and focused his vision on Tatsuya's green eyes. On those intelligent, beautiful, gorgeous eyes that always looked at him with unmeasurable love. No matter how fucked up he looked, how wasted he was, or how angry they would get at each other, Tatsuya's eyes had never stopped glowing with love in his presence. They were always so caring, so careful, so… pure and kind, that Hiroto felt bonded to them. So truthful and sincere that Hiroto knew his boyfriend only wanted him. So loyal, the only person Hiroto could fully trust, the only one who enabled him to open his heart without fear of being judged nor rejected.
The only one…
"Don't leave me, please." Hiroto said, voice broken again, eyes tearing up again and his hands gripping Tatsuya's wet shirt tightly. He didn't want to be left alone, not again, not ever again. He just- Hiroto only wanted to be by Tatsuya's side, forever.
"I won't, I will never leave you Hiroto. No matter what happens, no matter how many obstacles we find on our paths, I don't want us to be apart. I have you, and you have me, remember? I'm here for when things get rough, not just for cuddles and kisses, I'm here for everything you ask for, for everything that you need, because I love you, Hiroto. I love you."
Hiroto lifted his body and sobbed in pain, sobbed as he watched Tatsuya's sincere eyes telling him the truth, reaffirming him that his feelings were true.
"Am- am I allowed to kiss you, Tatsuya?" Hiroto said, voice fearful but soft at the same time, eyes already tearing up.
"Yes, as many times as you want Hiroto." Tatsuya answered softly, voice as calm and as caring as ever, hands already cupping Hiroto's cheeks delicately.
And Hiroto just melted into it, melted like he always melted at Tatsuya's overly loving touch, melted during every single second that it lasted. Just as their lips met, Hiroto cried, cried of pure love and reciprocity, because the touch of Tatsuya's lips against his very own ones still remained too good. Too soft, with that way of taking things slowly, just pressing their lips together as Hiroto's tears wet their mouths and made everything saltier, but still addictive.
Too caring, the way Tatsuya would hold him tightly, caringly, stroking his cheeks and cleaning the teardrops, not even faced by the whole scene Hiroto was causing. Because Tatsuya always let Hiroto be himself, express himself and show his appreciation without judging, without mocking him, just accepting whatever was given to him as if it was the best fucking thing ever.
And Hiroto loved it, loved how Tatsuya could be so caring but carefree at the same time, giving him liberty but also attention at the same time. He loved how Tatsuya just obeyed, how he kissed him back even after he was yet again crying, only because Hiroto had precisely asked for a kiss. And Tatsuya gave it to him, returned that broken kiss with his feelings because Hiroto deserved them, because he needed them, because it was the least he could do to make Hiroto feel better.
"Am I allowed to have you, Tatsuya?" Hiroto asked, lips still on top of Tatsuya's but his tears stopping abruptly.
"Yes, I'll always be yours, Hiroto." Tatsuya simply said, his bright eyes never losing their light.
Hiroto smiled, for the first time in the night, he truly smiled. A caring, shy smile took his lips, along with a tender blush that painted his cheeks.
"But um, not like, very physically at the moment. I can remain here and give you some cuddles, but I…" Tatsuya started saying, words gradually getting lost and making Hiroto raise up his head.
He looked at Tatsuya with curiosity present in his now red eyes, wondering why his boyfriend was now struggling with words and blushing hard, almost reaching the same tonality as his hair. Tatsuya was rarely embarrassed of his words, and he said rarely because that had only happened on 5 occasions at best.
"I- I can't get hard with this freezing water…" Tatsuya ended up saying after a few seconds of uncomfortable, strange silence.
Hiroto looked at him, disbelief replacing the previous curiosity only for a few instants before he burst out laughing. Oh God, Tatsuya was really something else when his overprotectiveness was triggered, Hiroto could only laugh at that. It was just so stupid, so ridiculous, and what was even better, Tatsuya's blush had managed to get darker and now he was even pouting in embarrasment and shyness.
"It's not that I'm not willing to do it! Of course I am, I'm always willing to do it with you Hiroto, but uh, I don't get along with the cold." Tatsuya continued saying, panicked at seeing that Hiroto wasn't giving signals of wanting to stop laughing soon. Though it was more like he couldn't stop laughing.
"Pfff, you are so stupid, idiot." Hiroto managed to say between laughs, his eyes half closed and his cheeks starting to hurt due to the constant smile that was plastered on his face.
"I… You- Just forget I said anything." Tatsuya said, still pouting and eyeing at Hiroto with some sort of happiness on his bright, green eyes.
"No, like hell I'm forgetting the bullshit you've just said. Oh lord Tatsuya, now seriously, how the fuck does your overprotective brain work? You're such an idiot." Hiroto continued saying, his laugh still present but fading slightly.
"Forget it…" Tatsuya said, puffing his cheeks slightly and trying to advert Hiroto's gaze, even though deep down he was happy that Hiroto was getting back to his trickster, playful personality.
Hiroto just let out a last laugh into the air, followed by a small snort and got back to his previous position: head on Tatsuya's chest, hands intertwined together around his belly. Comfortable, just feeling Tatsuya's calm heartbeats close to his ears, just letting their melody relax him as if there wasn't anything to worry about. And in reality, there was nothing to worry about, because Hiroto had made up his mind:
"Idiot." Hiroto said after a few moments of complete, peaceful silence, and Tatsuya just hummed in return to let him know he was listening. "You're my only idiot, you know that, right?"
Tatsuya hummed in response again, curiosity present on his bright green eyes and his hands massaging Hiroto's back caringly.
"Yes, only yours, love." Tatsuya replied softly, delicately.
"And I want you to keep being my idiot."
The world seemed to stop for a moment, the freezing cold water not mattering anymore because a much more warm, recomforting emotion was taking Tatsuya's senses.
Even if Hiroto's words were ambitious, even if they didn't explain anything concrete, it all made sense. Sense in the Hiroto way of expressing himself that Tatsuya was able to understand so detailly. Sense in the way that Hiroto was back again at not being able to express just what he wanted with concrete words, but that Tatsuya could comprehend.
Sense in the way that Hiroto had chosen him over his wealth and family without even doubting.
And Tatsuya's whole body melted in the cold water, his emotions taking the best of him and giving Hiroto a bone-wrecking hug out of pure happiness, softness and love. Because Hiroto wanted him over everything, over his family, over his studies, over his home.
Because Hiroto only wanted Tatsuya to be with him.
"Idiot, you're gonna break my bones if you keep hugging me like this. Gimme some kisses that are less painful." Hiroto said jokingly, chuckling as he intertwined his lips with Tatsuya in a messy kiss with too many different emotions floating around. And Tatsuya melted on it, melted on Hiroto's words and trust as never before, because it was all that he wished to have.
"Hiroto… You, you really- Do you really want me? I'm overwhelmed, I- I don't know what to say. Thank you, thank you so much my love." Tatsuya said just as the kiss ended, his bright eyes tearing up again and making Hiroto soften even more.
"Don't thank me angel, of course I was going to choose you over the old man and the money."
Tatsuya giggled in return and pulled Hiroto closer to his face, looking deeply at those fierce pink eyes with his hopeful green eyes. He didn't want to stop watching those eyes, those beautiful eyes that always shined with care and love in his presence, those eyes that would appear to be threatening at the start, but that were always gentle with him. Those eyes that had made him fall in love at first sight.
"I love you Hiroto, I love you so much that I can't even express it with actions nor words. I never know how to express… how to show you how much you mean to me, but I want you to know that if I had to choose between the stars and you, I would choose you, because you are my whole universe."
"Pffff, that sounded so fucking cheesy." Hiroto said as he bursted out laughing, his blush darkening nevertheless and making Tatsuya giggle with him.
"But you liked it." Tatsuya answered, pouting slightly and welcoming Hiroto's head again on his chest. Fluffy, Hiroto's curls remained extremely soft even after being completely wet, and Tatsuya couldn't help but to smile as he started caressing them.
"I can tell you I ain't forgetting it, just as your small problem with the cold water." Hiroto replied smugly, laughing as he felt Tatsuya's always relaxing aura tremble.
"Hey! It's not like you wanted my body anyway." Tatsuya said, his blush getting more intense and pouting slightly as Hiroto lifted his gaze to meet his eyes.
"I always want your body, tight ass." Hiroto replied, his smug smirk coming back.
Hiroto turned around and eyed at Tatsuya playfully, definitely not innocently, and tilted his head to the left. He licked his lips and pressed their bodies together, rewarded immediately when Tatsuya gasped at the sudden touch. Hiroto's smirk got wider and decided to take things further, not because he wanted to have actual sex with his boyfriend inside the freezing tub, but because he now had something to tease Tatsuya with.
Without thinking more about his actions, he directed his hand downwards, slightly caressing Tatsuya's upper body before giving his crotch a delicate, almost unnoticeable stroke.
"Holy shit Tatsu, you really can't get hard in the cold." Hiroto said, amused that even after giving his cock a few strokes it didn't even bulge, nor twitch.
"I told you! And it only happens when I'm in cold water, I can make it work when I'm just cold, but not when… I'm in cold water." Tatsuya replied, now clearly embarrassed by the situation and turning his eyes to the side so as to not see Hiroto making fun of him.
"And when it's snowing?" Hiroto asked, refusing to stop moving his hand until his boyfriend cock twitched, but it didn't, not even after increasing the pace and not even when 2 minutes passed. Imposible.
Tatsuya tilted his head again, thinking about the question and finally meeting Hiroto's curious, playful eyes again.
"I think so? I mean, as long as I'm not directly feeling the snow I should be able to…" Tatsuya answered sincerely, so lost in thought that Hiroto couldn't help but to chuckle at the situation.
He was feeling way too many emotions again, and every single one of them was so different from each other that Hiroto couldn't even try to comprehend them, he just knew that he liked what was happening. He was in a freezing bathtub, stroking his boyfriend's completely useless dick as they talked about his erection problems with the cold, and he was living every second of it.
That's when Hiroto realised that he was liking it because he was confident, because he trusted Tatsuya, because everything was easy around him. Talking, laughing, explaining issues, solving problems, making decisions… it all seemed easy. It was easy, being with Tatsuya was easy, and Hiroto loved that sensation of easiness that was making him forget his previous anxiety and that converted the cold water into a warm waterfall of love.
"Tatsuya, do you realise how fucking dumb you sound?" Hiroto said after a few seconds of silence, but not an uncomfortable silence, just a peaceful one.
"You asked first."
"You started talking first."
"I wanted to warn you about my problem in case you wanted something physical…" Tatsuya replied, pouting again and finally moving Hiroto's hand away from his dick.
"Idiot, you really think and care too much, my little stupid angel." Hiroto said, grabbing Tatsuya's hand and pushing forward.
First a sloppy, soft kiss, full of giggles in between and radiant smiles that made it difficult to concentrate. So messy but at the same time loving that all the embarrassment that Tatsuya was feeling vanished away and left only cozzy, fuzzy feelings of attachment inside. So caring and loving that Hiroto was able to let his mind wander around, just focusing on how Tatsuya's lips against his very own ones remained way too good and addictive, and he couldn't get enough.
Soon more kisses followed, changing from sloppy ones to much more passionate, careful ones, full of bites and sucks, most of them from Hiroto, and clinginess. Nibbling, pulling, time passing but becoming irrelevant each time their lips would meet. They were completely at ease, comfortable just feeling each other's lips on their very own ones and melting with every single action that they would carry out.
"Babe" Hiroto said, and Tatsuya only hummed in response to let him know he was listening, barely listening actually because he was still a bit dizzy and busy with their nonstoping kisses. ", can you put on some music? Romantic shit, like music from the 80s and 90s, maybe some of the 00s too, but not your spanish bullshit."
Tatsuya giggled in return and pulled slightly away from Hiroto's lips so as to grab the phone that he had left on the floor.
"Sure love, do you have a playlist for that? Because I don't have any and we could save time if I could use yours."
"My phone's dead, I killed it when I dove into the swimming pools." Hiroto said as he snuggled closer to Tatsuya's neck, starting to bite it as Tatsuya threw a gasp into the air.
"Hiroto…" Tatsuya said, his tone of voice signalling that he wanted to say something more but shutting his mouth.
"What? I was sad, and angry, and nobody thinks as much as you do. And I didn't like the phone anyways."
"Okay okay, I won't give you the speech this one time, but from now on you will have to take better care of your things that I'm going to buy you a new phone and I can't afford to pay for another one in 3 months." Tatsuya said seriously, moving his eyes from the phone so as to look at Hiroto directly, wanting to prove to him that he was not taking a no from an answer.
"You what!? Tatsuya you have like, 400 at best, like hell you're spending that on me, I won't let you do that." Hiroto replied, his gaze glowing intensely.
"I have 1000, and I can ask my family for a bit more. I'm getting you a cheap phone, we are going to get a shared apartment with Kaze or Fudou, and we both are going to work and finish our studies."
"Apartment? That's a huge cost of money and you'll have to pay for both of us. I'm staying at the orphanage, we can wait to start living together."
Tatsuya didn't immediately answer, he took some seconds to think about his words, and it seemed like an eternity to Hiroto. The reality of his situation was appearing in front of him with so much strength, and it was so deadly that he didn't know how to fight it back. After two minutes of complete uncomfortable and tense silence, Tatsuya opened his mouth:
"I wish that we could, Hiroto, but considering that your father has kicked you out because I'm your boyfriend… I'm afraid that as he is also the major of my orphanage, I'm going to get kicked out too."
More silence followed Tatsuya's words, but it wasn't as tense as before, now it was just painful, sorrowful even, because Hiroto knew Tatsuya was right. They were both going to lose their homes, their families, their properties, everything. His decision was going to get Tatsuya kicked out too, and for a moment Hiroto felt how selfish his choice had been.
He was going to be with his beloved one, yes, but at what cost? They were going to lose everything, they were going to start living with only 1000 dollars that they had to spend on finding an apartment, and then the food. They were going to leave their families, and even if Hiroto didn't give a single fuck about his dad, he cared about his sister, and he knew that Tatsuya literally loved his new family.
Everything was getting too complicated, too difficult, and Hiroto felt his tears appearing again on the corner of his eyes.
"This fucking sucks, it fucking sucks. Fuck the old man." Hiroto said after some moments, his voice broken again and he slid more into the cold water until it covered everything except his head. He hoped that maybe, just maybe, the freezing water would help him calm down his anxiety.
"Do you regret your decision, Hiroto?" Tatsuya asked, hands caressing again Hiroto's curls and voice so soft and loving that Hiroto finally started crying again.
Crying out of despair, out for some kind of help to deal with that situation.
"... I don't, angel. You're what I picture in my future, not money, not fame… just you. You and me, laying on a couch, listening to music, kissing, holding hands, going to parks, laughing… Just us, all the time, simply us being together and doing a lot of stupid romantic shit. And I really want it, and I want you now, and forever. But I don't know if that's what I… what I can choose."
Tatsuya took some moments to answer, not because he didn't know what to answer, but because Hiroto's words had been so heartfelt, so soft, delicate, and loving that he found himself getting emotional. Hiroto's dream future was beautiful, just them being unbothered, completely at peace, together… Tatsuya wanted it to happen too. He wanted Hiroto.
"You can choose me, Hiroto, but everything will be more difficult. Do you want to fight for me? For us?" Tatsuya asked, one hand grabbing Hiroto's in advance, his eyes glowing sadly but also hopefully.
"I want to, Tatsuya."
"Then that's it. I'm calling Kazemaru tomorrow and asking if he's got a free room in his student's apartment, if I recall correctly one week ago he was trying to find a new roommate. If he does, we are moving in with him, and if he doesn't we are calling Fudou or Haizaki. I have enough money to pay for two months of rent, including the food and all those expenses, but we will need to find a job for the upcoming months. Does it sound good?"
It sounded like a fucking dream.
"Incredible." Hiroto answered simply, his lack of control on his emotions getting out of hand and making him unable to express more things with his words.
He didn't know what he was feeling, there were too many feelings inside of him that alternated between being depressed and being euphoric. It was going to be difficult, but they had to try it. He had Tatsuya, and they had their friends. They could do it.
For the first time in the whole night, Hiroto was hopeful about his future.
"Good. Tomorrow we are going home, we are packing our dearest possessions, if you can get some money that would be nice, and we are going to our new home."
"We look like forbidden lovers, Tatsuya." Hiroto said jokingly, signalling that he was more relaxed, and making Tatsuya giggle with him. His boyfriend was back, they were back.
"I think we should be called forbidden boyfriends, Hiroto." Tatsuya stated matter of factly, and Hiroto chuckled in return.
Everything was getting back.
"Close enough." Hiroto replied and got half of his body out of the tub so as to hug Tatsuya better. "Did you make the romantic playlist? I wanna cuddle."
"Halfway done. Want me to start playing some songs and once I finish adding all of them cuddle?"
"Mmmm, start playing while I give you some neck kisses, and when you finish you kiss me back." Hiroto said, snuggling even closer as he started tracing down Tatsuya's neck with his lips.
"Greedy." Tatsuya answered softly and then gasped lowly. Hiroto really did know where his sensitive spots were.
Hiroto hummed in response and kissed Tatsuya's neck harder, slightly marking his pale skin. Tatsuya gasped louder and relaxed on the tub, caressing Hiroto's hair with one hand and letting the other one pick the first song that came to his mind.
"Really? Eternal flame? By the Bangles?" Hiroto asked, his proud smirk taking control of his lips.
"I like it, and it's romantic." Tatsuya replied, a moan suddenly escaping from his lips as Hiroto bit down on his skin.
"Cheesy as fuck, suits you." Hiroto said jokingly, biting down on that skin he was so attracted to.
"Oh, I can get cheesier. Want me to sing it?"
"You wouldn't dare."
Tatsuya just gave him a look, the 'of course I'm going to do it' look. Green eyes started sparkling, and if Hiroto had any doubts left, they fastly disappeared:
Close your eyes
Give me your hand, darling
Do you feel my heart beating?
Do you understand?
Do you feel the same?
Am I only dreaming?
Is this burning… An eternal flame?
It surely was relaxing, just like everything that Tatsuya did. So peaceful and calm, how his soothing voice seemed to perpetrate inside him and wipe out all of Hiroto's problems. And what was even better, Tatsuya was a good singer, a really good singer, almost sounding like an angel, like his true guardian angel. His voice wasn't really high-pitched, nor low, it was just the right amount of deepness and softness perfectly mixed together, just like his normal voice but even more melodical.
I believe it's meant to be, darling
I watch you when you're sleeping
You belong with me
Do you feel the same?
Am I only dreaming?
Is this burning… An eternal flame?
Hiroto felt as if he was melting on the clouds, his body becoming as light as feathers and his mind wandering far, far away, only able to hear Tatsuya's voice singing him the cheesiest song he had ever heard. And the way Tatsuya had of caressing his hair, always so careful and loving, made Hiroto feel as if he was living the best moment of his life.
Say my name
Sun shines through the rain
A whole life, so lonely
And then come and ease the pain
I don't want to lose this feeling
…
Tatsuya continued singing until the song finished, making Hiroto return from his astral journey.
"You definitely made it cheesier, angel." Hiroto said proudly, his playful eyes looking at Tatsuya gently, his lips kissing his cheeks dearly.
"I'm going to take that as a compliment. Did you like it?" Tatsuya asked, cheeks blushing bright red and humming the next song that was starting.
"More than what I thought I would. You should sing more often." Hiroto replied, causing Tatsuya to giggle in return.
Cute, everything about the moment was cute. Even the freezing water could be considered cute with how much it contrasted with Hiroto's heated skin. Soft, the way Tatsuya hummed the next song, probably because he didn't know the lyrics, and probably doing it because Hiroto liked his voice.
"Only if you accompany me." Tatsuya answered a bit cockily, but also shyly.
"Tch" Hiroto replied, and rose up so as to look directly at his eyes ", do you have 'Don't wanna miss a thing' on the list?"
"By Aerosmith?"
"Yeah. Who else's would it be?"
"I do have it. Wait, are you going to sing?" Tatsuya asked, eyes shining brightly and his smile so wide and contagious that Hiroto couldn't help but to smile along with him.
"Play the song, and get ready to be absolutely delighted by your God."
"I'm always delighted by you."
Hiroto snorted in return and kissed Tatsuya playfully, biting his bottom lip and pulling away fastly. The song had started playing, and even if the first part was only instrumental, he really wanted to give it his best. Don't get him wrong, he was confident in his singing skills, but he really wanted to impress his boyfriend.
He cleared his throat once, twice, and smirked one last time before parting his lips:
I could stay awake just to hear you breathing
Watch you smile while you are sleeping
While you're far away from dreaming
I could spend my life in this sweet surrender
I could stay lost in this moment forever
Every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure
I don't want to close my eyes
I don't' want to fall asleep
'Cause I'd miss you baby
And I don't want to miss a thing
'Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
I'd still miss you baby
And I don't want to miss a thing
…
The song continued for a few more minutes, and Hiroto kept on singing until the very last word. Tatsuya listened carefully to Hiroto, getting impregnated by a certain something he couldn't quite comprehend, but that was making his heart race. Hiroto's voice was magnificent, Tatsuya had always acknowledged it, but his singing voice was truly out of the world; so deep, so profound that Tatsuya felt each an every word getting stuck on his mind; so raspy but at the same time sensitive, just as if Hiroto had written that song on his own; and so truthful and heartfelt that Tatsuya was left breathless.
Hiroto had kept his eyes on him the whole time, definitely not missing a thing, even after the song had finished. He refused to stop looking at Tatsuya, refused to stop watching those mesmerizing green eyes shine and crystallize due to all the feelings he was going through. It was beautiful, gorgeous, the way his boyfriend's blush seemed to warm the whole environment they were in.
Hiroto wanted to kiss him, he wanted to hold Tatsuya close. And Tatsuya seemed to want the same thing, his eyes coming back to reality after a few minutes where only more romantic songs could be heard. Hiroto smirked, softly, and Tatsuya corresponded with an excited giggle as he grabbed Hiroto's cheeks and planted countless kisses all around his face.
"Thank you for giving me this song, Hiroto." Tatsuya said when he finally calmed down from the rush of loving feelings.
"All yours babe, you'd better treasure it." Hiroto replied cockily, finally intertwining their lips together in a long, passionate kiss that left both of them gasping for more.
"I will, I always do."
Hiroto didn't respond, mostly because he had finally realised that he had sung his boyfriend his favorite song and was now facing a gay drama. A drama because he was vulnerable, he always was around Tatsuya, and he felt weak. Weak because he had told him his feelings with what he thought was the perfect declaration, and Tatsuya had gladly received it and corresponded with infinite appreciation.
The way Tatsuya's eyes shined told Hiroto everything he wanted to know, those bright orbs expressed that Tatsuya had understood how important that had been for him and that he supported his decision. They were so loving, Tatsuya's eyes were always so loving that Hiroto was often left thinking why he was allowed to receive so much love and so much care.
"I loved it, Hiroto, and I want to sing a song with you someday. A duet or something, so that I can direct it to you and vice versa."
"That's gonna be a bit difficult, your music taste sucks." Hiroto said jokingly, snorting as he gave Tatsuya a small peck on the lips.
"It doesn't, we just like different genres."
"Opposed genres."
"My 'spanish bullshit' is considered to be something close to pop, and you like pop." Tatsuya contrasted, his smile never leaving his lips.
"I only like 90s and early 00s pop. And you also like Kpop." Hiroto replied, his eyes glowing with a playful light and his proud smirk never leaving his fleshy lips.
"I like the group 'Oh my girls' and 'Ateez'. I still need to investigate more."
"No you don't."
Just after Hiroto said that, he started laughing. Not because it was funny, but because he wanted to, and Tatsuya giggled with him. The conversation was so absurd that he just felt the need to through a careless laugh into the air. Tatsuya continued giggling and caressing his curls, eyes glowing with love and attraction as the romantic songs he had chosen continued to play.
"You really don't want to sing with me, right?" Tatsuya asked after a few seconds, making Hiroto give him a soft kiss as a playful apology.
"I want to, but I want to dedicate you the songs I sing to you, and I have no fucking idea what's said in Korean and in Spanish, so until I find one that we both like and understand we ain't singing together."
"That's so sweet of you, Hiroto. Thank you." Tatsuya said heartly, his smile so wide and bright that Hiroto just felt the need to give him his truthful smile.
"Don't thank me, just keep singing that I wanna hear you."
"Fine, but I thought you wanted kisses."
Oh, now that was a tough decision to make.
"Fuck, that's playing dirty tight ass. Gimme those lips."
And Tatsuya gave Hiroto his lips, his tongue, and his mouth. He gave Hiroto everything he had, because that was what Hiroto deserved. And then he continued giving Hiroto more, every single place that Hiroto would require, Tatsuya was willing to give him. Neck, cheeks, forehead, and his mouth again.
The music kept playing in the background, but at some point Tatsuya stopped hearing it, fully focusing on all the soft, and not very innocent, caresses that Hiroto was giving him. Hiroto's fit body was trapping him in the bathtub, and all Tatsuya could do was surrender and give him his body too. Shoulders, throat, arms, hands, chest, thighs, waist, hips… Everything. Everything that Hiroto wanted, and only because it was Hiroto who wanted it.
Time kept passing, seconds soon converted into minutes, and minutes were probably turning into hours. Not that they cared, Tatsuya was not cold anymore and Hiroto was relaxed, everything was at peace. Their lips were completely swollen, but they couldn't stop kissing, it was as if they couldn't get enough. One after the other, all the time, they couldn't stop, their limbs were sore and Tatsuya was sure he was about to catch a flu, but he wanted Hiroto and was not willing to stop.
Forever, and always, and he wasn't going to let him go.
At some point of their heated kissing session, Hiroto opened his eyes. He didn't know why he did that, maybe because he wanted to see Tatsuya's always fiery cheeks, or watch his perfect face, or admire how his lips would open to moan his name. Hiroto didn't know, but just as his eyes opened, he regretted ever doing that.
It had been 2 years since they had last been caught, since Midorikawa had caught them, and this time was awfully similar to that occasion. Something humanoid was looking down at them with what Hiroto thought was disgust and resentment. His deep, black eyes were literally deadly, so cold and disappointed that Hiroto's anxiety had come back at the speed of light. His legs started trembling, his breathing was shaky, and his eyes couldn't focus on anything apart from that man that was crushing his whole life.
He couldn't do it, it couldn't be happening. Not again, not so soon. Not when they were finally at peace, when everything was becoming perfect, ready to escape together from that humanoid figure that Hiroto unfortunately recognized who it was.
"We are leaving tomorrow, so stop looking at us like that because soon you won't have to watch this anymore, Seijirou." Tatsuya said, his authoritarian voice appearing and his hands grabbing Hiroto's tightly, scared of losing him.
It couldn't be happening, not so soon. Hiroto actually felt the need to cry out of pure helplessness, out of despair, out of pain. Suddenly all those loving, fuzzy feelings were turning into that deadly anxiety that Hiroto didn't know how to fight back. He felt as if he couldn't breathe, the air getting stuck on the back of his throat and making it impossible for Hiroto to exhale. He had to get out, he had to calm down, he had to turn the water colder. He couldn't face his father anymore.
"Leave us, Seijirou, or I'll make you leave." Tatsuya said, his eyes shining angrily and his voice sounding more similar to a threat than to a warning.
"I need to talk to my son."
Tatsuya hugged Hiroto closer, the water slightly moving around and dropping to the floor due to the abrupt movement. Hiroto couldn't take his eyes off Seijirou, couldn't distance himself from that man that was ruining his whole existence. Not even Tatsuya's calming presence could wipe out his anxiety.
"Why?" Tatsuya asked for Hiroto, knowing that his boyfriend was suffering such a huge mental breakdown that he was unable to speak.
"I need to discuss your… thing with him." Seijirou said slowly, his eyes alternating between the two without emotion.
"There's nothing to discuss, Seijirou, you already know everything you need." Tatsuya replied, pulling Hiroto even closer as the latter started trembling.
"I want to try and reach an agreement with him."
"What kind of agreement?"
"That's what I want to discuss with him. Privately."
Tatsuya's gaze became more intense just as Seijirou said that; his always light green orbs becoming darker, much more primal and protective. A shiver ran down Hiroto's back, making his shaking much more unstable and desperate. He wanted to run away, he couldn't see himself talking to his father with Tatsuya, much less all alone.
"Fine." Tatsuya said after a few seconds of complete silence.
"Fine!? Tatsuya you can't just-" Hiroto said, speaking for the first time since his father had entered the bathroom.
"But first, Seijirou, assure me that you've thought about what I told you earlier." Tatsuya continued saying, cutting Hiroto off and grabbing his hand even tighter.
Some tense seconds passed on which all Seijirou did was eye at them intensely, watching how his son seemed to understand what Tatsuya's hand meant. The situation was uncomfortable for all of them, Seijirou had literally caught the young couple shoving their tongues inside each other's mouth with romantic music in the background, and they had needed almost 4 good minutes to realise that he had been there watching.
And he had been 'lucky' to find them, or more like, he had been lucky that the reception had called him and exposed where those two were. Seijirou didn't know what he was exactly thinking when he went inside the room, he still didn't know why he was there, he just felt the need to talk to this son. To his prideful Hiroto, or not so prideful anymore, because for what he was seeing, Hiroto was truly panicking and not scared to show it.
"I have, Tatsuya."
Tatsuya continued looking at Seijirou, his green eyes never losing their intensity but trying to find if his words were true, and in which way. He felt Hiroto snuggling closer to him, his unsteady breathing and the music the only sources of sound in the room. Seijirou was still as stoic as ever, his posture so stiff and rigid that Tatsuya knew he was serious; Father really wanted to talk to Hiroto.
After two minutes, Tatsuya turned his eyes in Hiroto's direction. His powerful, mad, green eyes got converted into their soft, loving version as soon as he came across Hiroto's fearful ones. Tatsuya grabbed Hiroto's cheeks carefully, delicately, his eyes shining with so much peace and love that Hiroto managed to calm down just a bit. He was still close to suffering a heart attack, but at least Tatsuya seemed calm.
"Don't leave, please, don't you dare leave." Hiroto said, eyes watering again at realising that Tatsuya was going to leave him alone with his dad, alone with his worst nightmare.
Tatsuya's smile softened even more, and he kissed Hiroto's forehead lovingly.
"I'm not leaving you, ever. I'll be right behind the door, waiting for you to come to me, okay?"
"It's not ok, it's never ok if you're not next to me."
"Shhh, I'm with you, right here." Tatsuya said, his melodic voice resembling a lullaby and his hands touching Hiroto's chest lovingly, smoothly. "And I'll always be with you, remember it. I won't let us be apart, an angel can't live without his God after all."
Seijirou watched the whole scene before his eyes patiently, waiting for it to be over, but something inside him seemed to react to it. He didn't know what it was, maybe pity, or sadness, but he couldn't quite put a finger on it. The scene itself, without context, looked pretty dramatic with Tatsuya trying to assure his anxious son that everything would turn out fine, even if he had no idea about what was going to happen. Hell, not even Seijirou knew why he was there or what he wanted to tell his son.
"You're right. You'd better be waiting impatiently outside, angel." Hiroto said, his previous anxiety turning into something close to cockiness and his eyes expressing something Seijirou had never seen before: Affection.
"Of course, and you'd better be there soon." Tatsuya replied, letting out a soft chuckle as Hiroto snorted along him.
Seijirou had to admit that the scene could even be considered something close to cute, with his son almost freezing to death but dedicating Tatsuya the most heartwarming smile he had ever witnessed. It was even pure, Tatsuya's personal light enveloping the whole room and making Hiroto shine with it, as if he had conquered the light and was now for him to use.
But Seijirou didn't get much more time to think about everything he was watching because Tatsuya stood up abruptly from his spot and got out of the tub almost unnoticeably. Almost, because the water drops were giving away that he was moving with all the splashing around they were causing. Not that Seijirou minded, someone would probably go to the room in the morning and clean it.
"Think before you speak, this is my last advice." Tatsuya said, almost sounding threatening as he stood right next to Seijirou.
His green eyes were shining ferociously, almost dangerously, but this time Seijirou didn't get the same tenebrous feeling as before. Probably because Tatsuya was not so mad anymore, or because that was just a warning. Seijirou didn't know what to think anymore, so he just nodded his head to let Tatsuya know he had heard him loud and clear, and looked at him dead in the eye.
Tatsuya looked at him for some brief moments, the water drops falling from his bangs and slightly wetting Seijirou's feet, and then he left. Without looking back, without giving it a second thought, Tatsuya just left the room as if he had not just fucking threatened a billionaire twice in the same night.
