Hi everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates, I have had a ton of homework that I needed to catch up. Please continue to leave reviews, and suggestions.
"Gracie Girl, we don't say those things out loud! That was mean, and you probably hurt her feelings! How would you feel if someone said that you looked like a grumpus? It would make you sad, right?" Jo says, gently scolding her daughter.
"She's not wrong though!" Ryder says, and gets a death glare from Jo with this comment.
"Dude, remember what we said about keeping some things to yourself?" Alex says, not wanting to face the wrath of Jo for always making her the bad cop parent.
With this, the elevator doors opened up and the Karev family walked down to their hotel room, they were all shocked. First of all, the hotel room had stairs that led up to what Jo presumes are the bunk beds, already having heard from Lexie how crazy her kids were going over the bunk beds.
Jo's assumption was correct, and head up to the stairs to see Alex refereeing a rock paper scissor battle between the two kids over who gets the top bunk first. Ryder won the battle, and scrambled up to the top bunk, much to Gracie's disappointment.
Ryder Michael Karev, their seven year old, looked just like Alex and acted just like him too. He had the biggest heart, after you got through his grumpy exterior.
Grace Josephine Karev looked like Jo with her eyes, and had such a similar personality to her. Gracie was hilarious and bubbly, yet had the exact same sense of humor as Alex.
Jo knew the kids would just end up sleeping in the same bed, as they commonly did. Jo and Alex shared a look, both of them mutually knowing that their 2 kids would just end up having a sleepover in the same bed. Having been together for so long now, the two of them could basically understand exactly what the other was saying without even saying anything.
After settling the bunk bed issue, Alex went to go grab all the suitcases from the car, with assistance from Gracie, who loved to help with all of this stuff. Gracie returned to the hotel room, this time riding the luggage cart, basically buried in all the luggage.
"Your kingdom awaits, Princess Gracie." Alex says to his daughter, after she jumped out of the luggage cart and into his arms.
Ryder was calling Gracie's name to see this new "secret passage" he found upstairs, and Gracie quickly scrambled up the stairs.
Alex collapsed on the couch next to Jo, who he lazily threw his arm over. Jo put her head on his shoulder and was so thankful for her life in this moment.
