NINE
Jasper kept me thoroughly distracted the entire plane ride to San Francisco. When we landed, he informed me while this was a stop, we had a bit of a layover. We were blessed with good luck as it was unseasonably cloudy. We checked into our hotel for the evening and we got to be tourists for the better part of the following day. While arguably we did spend some time in our hotel room, the sights of San Francisco were unforgettable. I managed to take a lot of photos with a camera I found in my carry-on that Rose had packed. Our next flight wasn't until seven that evening, and we were able to navigate the city without tense worry. This airport wasn't anything like the one Port Angeles, this was much busier and many more people traveled through here. I'd be lying if I didn't say the sheer amount of people caused me to be anxious. Ever my steady rock, Jasper managed to navigate me through the throngs of crowds and even found our own little nook to hide out in until the next flight was called.
I raised my eyebrow at our next connecting flight - London. While I was excited for it to be a destination - I was kind of bummed we wouldn't be spending too much time there. Jasper promised another trip would be made to Europe to travel the countries there. While that settled me a bit, I was still eager to see where we were headed. The flight from Seattle to London was a long one, the longest I had certainly been on a plane. I had to admit though, flying first class definitely had it's advantages, it was definitely cushy. I was definitely jet-lagged as Jasper led me through the London Heathrow airport and to our next gate. I didn't sleep much on the plane ride, so I wasn't paying attention to the gate as he guided me through it, but he did warn me it was another long flight, and he encouraged me to rest. He didn't need to tell me twice.
It didn't feel like I was asleep long when I felt Jasper's gentle voice in my ear and his hands attempting to nudge me awake.
"Love - look out your window."
With bleary eyes, I did, and I felt my mouth drop open. We were flying over a small island. The waters were gorgeously blue and from what I can tell the beach sands were white and pristine.
"Where are we?" I murmured.
"We're landing in Seychelles, but we're taking a small boat ride off the coast to an island just south of the mainland." Jasper murmured in my ear.
I could feel other passenger's gazing at us but I didn't care, I hugged him tight. I heard his low chuckle as he returned my hug. As the plane landed I felt the butterflies return to my stomach. I was fairly surprised to see the sun going down as we began gathering our luggage from the overhead compartment, Jasper - of course - insisted on carrying my bag. He simply kissed my forehead when I pouted. Jasper seemed to know where he was going as he weaved through the crowds to the baggage claim. Mercifully we didn't have to wait long for the familiar bright green luggage bags were seen rolling along the turntable. Taking my hand and Jasper more or less packed up like a pack mule, he weaved through the sea of tourists and to the front of the airport where there were cabs lined up and waiting. Surprisingly, there was a man dressed semi-nicely waiting with a sign - Hale. Jasper spoke to him for a few moments before he opened up the passenger door. Smiling, Jasper gestured for me to get in, inside was cushy and spacious as a town car should be. It wasn't a few moments later when Jasper joined me in the backseat.
The driver's name was Faroe, a local native and apparently familiar with the Cullen clan, particularly Jasper. Apparently he was hired by the Cullen clan for traveling in the local area, and they paid him well. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He had tan skin from his years living on the island. His hair was thick, curly and black, it was beautiful. His eyes were unique being hazel, he was unique looking and he knew it. I had a feeling he was quite flirtatious but he didn't dare flirt with me, not while Jasper was with me. He wore a brightly colored shirt of pinks, greens and yellows, and tan khaki shorts. Sandals adorned his feet but they were sturdy and looked like they could trek through anything. The drive was relatively calm and Faroe played tour guide as we passed through the area. I noticed as we drove that we were headed towards the harbor. By the time we arrived the sun had gone down and the streets were lit by street lamps and there were still a surprising amount of people outside. As we arrived we all clamored out of the car and I stretched, enjoying the warm air. It was slightly humid - which was normal for the tropical weather. I enjoyed the sea salt on the air. The harbor was still well lit as we traveled down the docks to a small speedboat.
"No captain?"
Jasper grinned mischievously as he helped me aboard.
"Do you doubt my nautical skills?" He purred in my ear.
"Wasn't aware it was one of your super powers." I quipped back.
He chuckled lowly, brushing my cheek and stepping around me to help Faroe with the luggage. After a quick goodbye I sat in one of the seats behind the captain's chairs and the boat's controls. A quick reversal and we were out at sea. Unsurprisingly the ship was a quick one - although my time with the Cullen Coven I have learned they all had an inclination for things that go fast. I had to admit though, the speed even on the water - was exhilarating! The wind through your hair, the spray of the seawater, it was amazing. We traveled for a time when Jasper tugged my sweater getting my attention. I couldn't hear him well over the roar of the engine, but he pointed off ahead of the boat. On the horizon in the same direction the boat was headed I could see a speck of land. It was hard to see, but with the boat's lights off and the moon full in the sky I could vaguely see the island.
"Which island is that?" I asked.
"Our own private island." Jasper responded.
I looked at him in surprise. He grinned.
"Carlisle, a long time ago, found an island off the coast of Rio, and gave it to Esme as a gift. When I was traveling for a while with Rose and Emmett, I found this island. I bought it for dirt cheap then, now it's worth quite a bit of money. The local government believes I bought it to conserve the wildlife and habitat, which we have in a way. But the only living things on that island are the wildlife, plant-life and a house."
"You have an island off the coast of Africa?" I asked, not certain if I heard him correctly.
"We have an island off the coast of Africa." He said kissing the side of my head affectionately.
I blinked in surprise and sank back down in my seat. I was still getting used to the fact that I was actually married to Jasper. Coupled with the enormity of their family fortune and the different assets that I was now linked with was kind of overwhelming. My sister always used to say that she didn't care about the money - the enormity of it all yet she caved incessantly whenever Masen went overboard trying to 'keep her safe'.
The trip to the island took maybe ten to fifteen minutes by the speedboat, as we arrived at the dock, I was surprised there were lights already on. Jasper explained that they had a housekeeper come out once a week to clean and tidy things. Taking our luggage and my hand again he led me from the soft lit docks across the sand up towards the tropical paradise that led to the house. The house was a part of wildlife. The trees and grass seemed to hug every curve of the house; vines crawled along the side of it. The house itself was made of pretty brown/grey rock-like slate. All the outer lights were a soft amber as to not attract bugs as bad. The path way to the house was cleared, but it had a natural feel to it with the dirt and plants lining the sides. The door was tall and wooden with iron twisted and turned into designs on the door itself.
Jasper let go of my hand only to open the door, and somehow managed to scoop me up and carry me over the threshold.
"Did we do this already?" I mused aloud.
He smirked.
"Just covering the basics."
I shook my head as he set me down. Inside was just as warm and inviting as outside. The whole scheme of the house seemed to be natural with pops of colors among the walls whether it be paintings, or various objects. The colors were warm - browns, grays, greens, and darker blues and purples.
"Go on and look around, I'll need to get the rest of the things from the boat and tie it up properly."
I nodded and he kissed the side of my temple before heading back outside. Carefully, I slipped my feet out of the flip flops and my feet hit the tile, it was cool but not warm. The entire house seemed to have an open concept. The foyer, living room, kitchen, and dining room all melded together seamlessly. The living room held several comfortable couches and chairs arranged to visit with friends, and even had a television above the fireplace mantle. The kitchen had warm woods in the cabinetry, and dark counter-tops, matched with state-of-the-art kitchen appliances. The dining room was a large room with a dining table and chairs, but the room made it interesting. The whole back wall was ceiling to floor windows, thick windows but it gave a gorgeous view of the outside and had a door that led to the patio seating and backyard.
The patio was covered from the second story above, but had an alcove for a fireplace and seating area, it merged into an area with a bar, fancy grill, smoker, and cooking area. The backyard was large enough to do some activities or even include a Jacuzzi if one chose, and while there was a sense of own space from the wilderness, the wilderness hung over the backyard like a gazebo.
Headed back in the house, I went upstairs. This was where most of the bedrooms were, there were two on the lower floor that I moved by. They were - from what I saw - modestly decorated and completed with their own bathrooms. The master bedroom sat upstairs, the floors were hardwood, beautifully polished and glimmering under the soft lighting. I almost felt bad for walking upon them. The roof had exposed beams that ran across the length of the room in the same matching wood of the floors. The large California king bed dominated the western part of the room, it was a canopy bed, light airy netting hung over the top and down each of the canopy posts, draped in such a way to look elegant and tied off with some natural rope. The bedspread and majority of the pillows were stark white with decorative pillows being a beautiful ocean blue. A lounge ottoman sat at the foot of the bed with more blue pillows. There was also a white deep seating set too around a round wooden table. There were also two dressers ready for clothing.
The bathroom was just as luxurious and beautiful as the bedroom. The walls and floor were both the same beige color, but the amenities in the room more than made up for it. It was a long bathroom but not very wide - it didn't need to be. As you walked in, along the right side of the room was the counter-top holding two sinks, the cabinet itself a nice light coffee colored wood and the tops a black granite and the hardwood resembling iron. Across from the sinks looked to be a closet, but upon opening the doors I was happy to discover a pantry of sorts strictly for bathroom essentials, and was happy to discover a towel warmer in there as well. Diagonal from the pantry was the bathtub, and I was excited for it. It was unique - not one I had ever used - this was carved from stone, it was deep enough to cover my shoulders comfortably, and long/wide enough to house two people comfortably as well. It was a grey/black color with matching hardware. The shower across from the tub was beautiful as well. It was gorgeously tied with a back splash of browns and hints of dark reds and blues, a small lip sat to get into the shower and the three walls were made of glass. The wall furthest from the door was to the outside, a little enclosed patio full of wildlife, plants, trees, bushes. The roof had windows letting natural light in like skylight, and I was surprised to find an outdoor shower tucked into the corner. the shower-head coming directly down from the ceiling like a waterfall. The hardware melded into the outer-rock wall so well I almost didn't see it. The whole house was perfect.
I discovered a laundry room, study, and a few more beds/bathrooms on the second floor. I sank onto a bar-stool watching Jasper bring various things from the boat. It was strange to see him more casual, but decided I liked the look on him. He had a dark blue button up casual shirt that was unbuttoned showing me a tantalizing view of the planes of his chest and abs. Khaki shorts adorned his legs and he wore flip flops on his feet. It was a surprising amount of skin, considering he kept his scars mostly covered up since I had been with him, it was nice to see him relax a little. It was a few more moments before Jasper stacked the last crate-full of things beside the door beside our luggage and closed the door. Almost immediately, his eyes locked on me, I felt a tingle on my spine, and the butterflies erupt in my stomach. He stalked over towards me, I watched as his eyes went from butterscotch gold to amber, darkening. He spun me around so I was facing him fully and inserted himself between my legs, arms languid around my waist -mischief danced in his eyes. I hooked my fingers in his belt loops loosely tugging him closer. His grin grew.
"Everythin to your liking darlin?" His accent was so much more pronounced.
Major was out to play.
"Tip top shape Major, particularly liked the bedroom." I murmured, ghosting my lips along his jaw.
I felt his fingers flex slightly against my hips. I heard a low rumble in his chest. His fingers tightened on my hips, not enough to bruise but definitely made sure I was aware they were there. It was hard not to notice the effect I was having on him. Gently I wrapped a leg around his pressing him closer, I felt him huff in amusement.
"Didn't Emmett ever tell you not to poke the bear?"
I grinned at the euphemism.
"Do you want me to stop?" I asked, teasingly pulling away slowly.
A low warning growl rumbled in his chest and his hands on my waist prevented me from moving anywhere but forward. I was keenly aware of his arousal - steadily growing against my core. After a moment I felt his hands go from my hips to under my thighs. Without any effort on his part I was lifted from my bar-stool and his lips crashed onto my own. Heady, urgent and demanding. I was vaguely aware we were moving, only to realize he had brought us to the bedroom once he set me down on the soft white comforter. As I lay on my back staring up at him, I studied his face. He studied me too, but only for a moment, as his head ducked down to my neck. I felt his warm breath there as he inhaled my scent. His nose danced across my skin, drawing a soft line from collarbone to the corner of my jaw and back. Then his tongue joined in , kissing and nips littered my neck. Each one sent new heat and butterflies surging in my body.
/HEAT WARNING/
Jasper was taking his time, I realized with a jolt. And Jasper was methodical if anything, like me he liked to tease, he liked to push, and then Major - he liked to dominate. I'd be lying if I said it didn't send a certain thrill through my body at the thought. Jasper was in rare form as he kissed me down my neck, I felt him rumble slightly when my hands threaded through his hair. I was slightly shocked when he gently unfurled my hands from his locks and pinned them with one of his own above my head on the bed. While it didn't hurt, it startled me, but the sensation it sent through my belly wasn't fear. He kept me thoroughly distracted, kissing me senseless, only moving on when I needed air. But he never went far, just to my neck or collar bone. He released me momentarily to divulge me of my shirt, and if possible his eyes darkened further when he discovered the lack of bra.
He allowed me to undress his shirt and discard it somewhere haphazardly on the floor, but my arms were almost immediately. pinned back to the headboard. He nuzzled in between my breasts before pulling one into his mouth teasing and pulling until I was a squirming panting mess. Satisfied with his handiwork on one, his lips traveled to the neglected one and gave it the same treatment. I'm not sure when I closed my eyes but when I opened them, he was looming over me, eyes dark and a half smirk upon his face.
"Looking a little flushed darlin,"" he cooed.
"W-wonder why…" I breathed out.
He chuckled lowly, and instead of replying, I felt his hand sneak between the layer of my pants and underwear and I felt him rumble. His touch sent another wave of desire through me.
"You're so ready for me darlin," He purred.
My brain couldn't formulate enough to provide a sentence to speak, my brain was so short circuiting at his touch. warm tropical air hit my legs as he divested me of my underwear and pants, and even without looking down I knew he had ditched the remaining bits of his own clothes. With one hand still pining my wrists above my head, the other had snaked around my waist and lifted my hips to meet his.
"Lettie,"
My eyes jumped to his, they danced in mischief and love. Without removing his darkened gaze from mine, I felt him slide into me, I felt my eyes widen at the fullness I felt, I felt incredibly full, and it felt incredible. As he began to move there wasn't much I could do but feel his power as he thrust my shoulders into the bed. the coiled heat in my belly increased with each thrust. Wrapping my legs around his waist I tried to aid best I was able to but I was no match for his speed. He messed with my emotions a good deal too, amping my lust, my want, my desire for him. Vaguely I wondered if humans were made for this sort of please. Jasper occasionally ducked down to run his tongue along my pulse point on my neck/shoulder. I climbed higher and higher, and just as I crested over the edge, he gently put pressure with his teeth on my pulse point.
The action both startled me and pushed me over the edge. Going over the edge didn't just send waves throughout my entire body, but ripped through me, startling me, and threw Jasper off as well. He cursed as he sped up to catch me. Even as I floated through my aftershocks, he still kept his pace, I crested a few more times at his pace. I was a floating haze of pleasure and love.
/HEATING WARNING END/~*~/HEATING WARNING END/
I must have fallen asleep shortly after Jasper had finally finished. He must have noticed my sleepiness because after he cleaned me up he gently kissed my forehead and cuddled me close to his chest. I wasn't sure how long I slept for, but when I woke, the sun had just risen over the horizon. It took me several moments to remember where I was. The warmth and different smells threw me off. I was very aware of my lack of clothing as I stretched out on the bed. Even fully stretched I didn't touch either end of the bed with my feet or hands. I heard a warm chuckle as I peeked open an eye and saw Jasper had just come into the room, swim shorts adorned his lower half and an open dark red button up t-shirt hung on his shoulders.
"Good morning," Jasper said bemusedly.
"Morning," I mumbled sleepily.
Jasper came and sat beside me, gently pulling the curly strands of my hair away from my face.
"Comfortable?" He murmured, kissing my cheek.
I leaned into his touch.
"Be more comfortable with you here,"I mumbled.
He chuckled again.
"Can't spend all day in bed love," He chided gently.
"Whose stupid rule is that? Its our honeymoon,"
Jasper smiled at my disgruntled expression.
"Come on bed bug, lets get some food in you,"
A particular thought crossed my mind, and Jasper must have been on the same wavelength because his eyes darkened a smidge from bright butterscotch gold, to an amber.
"No thoughts like that love or we'll never leave this room."
"I fail to see the problem in that," I admitted, gazing over him.
His eyes still darkened, he gently ran his nose from the tip of my chin, along the length of my jaw to my ear.
"Neither do I, but I would like you to see some parts of the island." He murmured.
Teasingly he pulled away, but he paused at the entrance to the bedroom.
"I never said our fun had to end here…" He said as he left the room.
While the bed was comfortable, the human part of me couldn't fault with Jasper's logic and I did want to see the island. I barely got to see it in it's splendor at night, and as comfortable as this bed, I was intrigued by Jasper's idea of fun awaiting us on the island. Begrudgingly I sat up and looked at the dresser that awaited me, cursing the need to get dressed.
