Looking back towards the computer from her place at her lab desk Kat Manx felt a small spark of hope become a small fire within her mind as she had been waiting a while for the computer to finish its configuration of the shattered Slumbhyx crystal. It had been almost 22 hours since she had started the task, even allowing Boom to help with the important task to try and get the job done quicker. Walking over to the screen, Kat looked at the spinning image of the now intact crystal that was being shown to her. Her eyes darted from between the screen of the completed crystal and the broken shards of crystals that were laying against the scanner a 1001 green glass shards like a 3D jigsaw puzzle that she had to somehow put together in order to save her friend. Leaning her elbows against the desk Kat put her head in her hands as she pondered on just how she was going to do all of this, it wasn't as if it was something flat that she could lay down, this was 3D and needed to be supported, tapping her fingers against her cheeks the doctor chewed the inside of her lip. She could always try to glue to shards back together but that would be a very long task and may affect how the crystal worked, she needed a binding agent. Suddenly something popped into her mind. Running across the room, Boom looked a little confused as he stood in the doorway of the lab watching his friend hurry to get something from one of the locked cupboards of S.P.D

Closing the magazine and dropping it onto her lap, Z laughed as she looked down at Syd in the bed 'sleeping' so peacefully. "I know I just read it all too you but seriously Syd how can you take some of these things seriously? 101 tips for keeping your man? I've gotta get one before I can try and keep one" For a moment the yellow rangers mind went to the subject of the green ranger whom she had her eye on for a little while now before the sudden beep from the bed next to her made, for a moment panic and fear took over before she saw Syd's oxygen levels come up on the screen next to her bed. Letting out the breath of air she didn't know she had been holding, Z waved the book in front of her face like a fan for a few seconds. "Anyone would think that you held your breath to change your levels to get me to snap out of my daze" Laughing as she dropped the magazine down onto the table beside the bed, Z made sure that peanuts was still in Syd's hold before she started to leave the infirmary, looking back at her friend once more, praying to anyone that would listen to her plea that soon Syd would wake up and things would be back to normal again. Things had been almost bitter between the team this morning, this time Jack choosing to pick a fight with Sky. Emotions were a breaking point and tempers at boiling; Z didn't know how she was going to hold the team together. Or if she could.

Looking out the windows of the common room, Jack stood with a clear vibe of anger coming from him, you didn't have to be Bridge to know this, just one look sent chills down many of the cadets that he greeted the normally friendly red ranger. Watching his friend from the doors to the room, Bridge's eyes followed a line over to the table where this morning's incident had taken place.

*Flashback*

It almost seemed like a perfect morning to the green ranger, he had awoken in a good mood and he had even seen a smile on his roommate face, he was yet to know what had put it there but he was sure it had something to do with Sydney, he would try and get it out of Sky later but for now he had buttery toast on his mind. Strapping his gloves to his wrists Bridge hummed as he made the short walk into the common area and up to the table where the rangers always had their breakfast together, there was even a little spring in his step as he jumped up the small step and made his way over to the synthesise. Gloved fingers working its normal pattern until a plate of warm buttered toast appeared before him, taking the top slice and placing a corner in his mouth as he moved to the table the green ranger waved at Z as she entered the room and made her own way to the food device, it always seemed as they were getting along a lot smoother than a few of the last breakfasts, now if Syd was able to join them then it would be a great day. Hearing the sound of a chair being pulled out from next to him the green ranger gave Z a somewhat questioning look as he could read her so well, she wanted to tell him something about Syd, munching on the toast Bridge gestured to his friend that she could tell him what ever was on her mind.

"Did you know that Syd as a teeny tiny fragment of a diamond from when she and Sky had to guard them? I found it on her nigh-"

Being abruptly cut off Z looked towards the doors as two somewhat angered voices came down the hallways towards them.

"You went to talk to Cruger behind MY BACK" Sky did not sound happy at all, standing near the doors set off the sensor for them, causing the metal to open and give anyone else in the common room an insight into the conversation.

"Yeah I did, we're already one ranger down and yesterday you hesitated coming into a battle" Puffing out his chest to seem more alpha, Jack waved his arms outwards in anger.

"I DID NOT HESITATE JACK! Bridge held me back to keep the element of surprise of Morgana and besides you had taken the chance to leave Z in battle with her so YOU could try and retrieve the crystal yourself, even Z didn't know what you were doing and you have a go at me? YOU were the one going solo. AND TO BRING UP MY MIND SET? THIS IS SOMETHING THAT HAS AFFECTED ALL OF US AND YOU MAKE THIS SOMETHING PERSONAL?"

"BECAUSE IT IS PERSONAL SKY, AS RED RANGER-"

"ACTING THE WAY YOU ARE NOW YOU ARE NOT A RED RANGER, IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH ME BRING IT UP WITH ME. DON'T YOU DARE ACT ALL HIGH A MIGHTY THIS TIME, Z RAN OFF CRYING YESTERDAY AND EVEN WHEN SHE HAD STOPPED YOU DIDN'T CHECK IN ON HER. IF I HAVE A PERSONAL ISSUE WITH WHAT IS GOING ON YOU WILL BE THE LAST TO KNOW"

"JUST BECAUSE YOU LOST YOUR DAD IN BATTLE YOU AND THE ROYAL STUFFUP YOU MADE WITH DRU YOU WANT EVERYONE TO PUSSYFOOT AROUND YOU, NO SPE-" Jack was soon about to regret his words as he was sure that for a moment Sky's eyes had become black with anger. He had crossed a line; he was so fast past the line that he couldn't see it anymore. Suddenly the red ranger felt two hands against the collar of his uniform and his back against the cold hard walls of the S.P.D bass. Sky had snapped, holding the red ranger against the wall with all his strength before quickly as he had been pushed back he had been dropped, able to stand back upright again Jack pulled down the front of his jacket.

Holding himself back Sky brushed Jack off, turning sharping on his heel Sky away trying to stop himself from doing something that he really would regret. As he turned, his eyes caught sight of Bridge and Z who had now risen to their feet ready to interject if needed, shaking his head his eyes shone slightly as he's anger built up inside of him, everyone knew that Jack had crossed the time. Leaving his team and walking down the hallway and around the corner out of sight Sky had left the situation and left for Z and Bridge to deal with Jack.

Going back to his toast Bridge acted as if he hadn't seen or heard anything as Jack had given a very cold look to Z and he didn't want to be on the receiving end on that look.

"You really went to the commander over his mindset? Jack you know that wasn't necessary. As for bringing up his dad and Dru. That was low even for you. Sky's mindset is just as good as yours right now and look what you just did" Z shook her head at her 'brother' suddenly finding herself no longer hungry she left her food on the table for someone else to take the untouched meal for themselves, going into her room to no doubt grab something for Sydney.

The rest of breakfast was icy between the red and green rangers as no one said a word as they ate is silence, the only real sound coming from Bridge's toast as it was eaten. Cleaning up his breakfast, Bridge walked over to the beanbag chair in front of the chess set the green ranger sighed as he felt the vibe still coming from the other occupant in the room now that all the lower level cadets had scampered off with just one look from the red ranger.

*Flashback end*

Seeing that Jack was still in no mood to talk or too subside his anger just yet Bridge shook his head slightly as he walked away from the doorway, leaving the red ranger to his thoughts as the green ranger left to try and find the S.P.D'S current blue ranger. Checking most of the other rooms that he would usually find Sky in, it wasn't until a sound coming from the target room that Bridge found who he was looking for. Waiting until the doors slid open Bridge watched as Sky aimed at the moving targets that were invisible without special glasses on, coming to stand in front of the controls to the training system he waited until Sky lowered his weapon and removed his glasses before he spoke. "What Jack did this morning was way out of line Sky, Z and I are behind you on that. Questioning your mindset was something that no one should have done, I still think you are perfectly capable of your duty as a ranger" Letting his friend know that he was still standing with him, Bridge watched as Sky placed his glasses on the controls and turned off the training simulation and placed his hand against Bridges shoulder, saying without words that he was thankful for his friends support.

Bridge was trying to keep it together for the rest of the team but truth be told he was starting to crack just like the rest of them, Syd was like a sister to him, she was always kind and warm to him and she seemed to understand him a little better than other did and he was missing that.

"She's going to be okay Bridge, she'll be asking you to fix her hairdryer again in no time" Sky seemed to have let go of the anger that had consumed him a little while before and was now providing some comfort to his friend and roommate. Shaking his hand against Bridge's shoulder, Sky nodded once as he pulled the green ranger out of the room and out into the hallways of the Delta base.

Behind covering of thick long gloves, a lab coat and goggles Kat slowly and carefully picked up a tiny shard of what would be the first piece of the crystal puzzle Kat submerged her tongs into the orange plasma and carefully set the green shard in its correct position within the stabilising gel substance. Looking into the large tube that she was working with Kat smiled widely as now she had two shards together when something unexpected started to happen, she didn't know if it was the plasma or something within it but the two shards that she had put together suddenly formed into one single shard. This gave Kat even more hope as if the crystal was 'healing' she had a better chance of getting the crystal to work and recovering the pink ranger.

"Well Syd, it looks likes miracles still happen" Picking up another tiny gem with her tongs Kat felt a new energy though her as she slowly started to slowly set the pieces together, watching as slowly it was becoming a solid crystal again.

Laughter came from the infirmary room as for the first time in a long time three out of the 5 Power Rangers had smiles on their faces, Bridge having roped Z into joining him and Sky in setting around the pink rangers bed shaking stories of their c and d level days from before Z and Jack had joined the team. Even Sky was laughing as he recalled the 'adventures' they had gotten up to in their younger years.

"I remember when Dru put flour into Syd's hairdryer, there was a sharp squeal and suddenly there was a very white looking Syd stalking the halls looking for the cuprite, it didn't help that Dru had been waiting around the corner for a chance to snap a picture" Laughing as he remembered seeing the bubbly pink ranger all fired up from his spoke in the common room that fateful day Sky had no problem letting Sydney break his 'best friends' camera with an iron fist.

Z was a little shocked to see Sky smiling and laughing but she could also see the pain each time he looked towards the pink ranger, trying not to let his feelings get the better of him at the moment, as much as he had told Bridge that Syd was going to be okay, he was more saying it to himself rather than Bridge. Z wanted Sky to allow himself to show Syd his feelings, even if she was still sleeping, he shouldn't hide them just because her and Bridge were in the room with him. She was going to get him to open up no matter what and she had just the ammo in her weaponry.

"So Sky, crossed out any more rules in the handbook or just the one about rangers not having relationships with each other" Z looked rather smug as she sat back in her chair and crossed her legs, raising her eyebrow towards Sky as she watched his mouth fall open in shock, he had been caught and he didn't have an answer for her.
