Star City, 2016

The Waverider comes down and lands them right back where they first began this adventure.

"What are we doing back here?" Mick asks as they all exit the ship.

"Savage has a Timeship, courtesy of the Time Masters. The timeline is unclear, due to our destruction of the Oculus, meaning Savage is lost to history. Which is why I brought you all home." Rip explains to them.

"Missions not over, though." Peter says.

"He's right. We lost Savage before, we'll find him again." Ray agrees.

"And then what?" Rip asks. "We have no way of killing Savage, particularly now that Kendra and Carter are in his possession, assuming that they're still alive, which is highly unlikely."

"So that's it?" Sara asks. "We're just giving up?"

"I'm on my way to the refuge to retrieve our younger selves and return them to the timeline." Rip tells them. "It'll be as if you never left."

"What, you expect us to just go back to our lives as if nothing ever happened?" Sara asks.

"Hm, that might be a tad difficult." Rip admits, and none of them understand what he means. "I had to bring you back to May 2016, not January 2016."

"So what you're saying is for the last five months, my mom probably thinks that I'm dead." Jax scoffs in anger. "Thanks a lot, man."

"If you're getting back on that ship, we get back on that ship." Mick states and goes to touch Rip only to reveal it's a hologram.

"In truth, I never left." Rip says while they look and see the Waverider begins to take off, leaving them behind. "I'm sorry for all I've asked for you, and that it all came to nothing. I wish you all well." And with that, the ship flies off and the hologram vanishes.

"I never liked that guy." Mick states in anger.

Peter looks sad that now he can't even hold up to Snart's last request until he gets a headache and finally gets something useful out of them: an address.

Coming out of his headache, Peter looks to see Ray was the only one to stay and wonders how long he was out.

"You okay, Peter?" Ray asks in concern.

"Ray...I need you to take me somewhere." Peter tells him, wondering if he'll take him back to New York.

New York

Ray brought Peter to where the address in his mind brought them and the address brought them to a normal two story house.

"Where are we, Peter?" Ray wonders.

"I honestly don't know." Peter admits as he approaches to knock on the door, only to have a final flash of memories flooding into his head.

"Pete, you good?" Ray asks as he catches Peter before he could fall over.

"I know who lives here." Peter finally puts together.

"Who?" Ray asks.

"Me." Peter says as the front door opens and standing there, with a smile on her face, was none other than Mary Parker, Peter's mother.

"Oh, Peter! You're home!" Mary cheers, happy to see her son.

"Mom?" Peter asks as Mary pulls her son into a hug, which Peter quickly returned, wondering how this is happening or even possible.

"It's so good to see you're home!" Mary says before turning to Ray. "Hello, I'm Mary Parker." She introduces herself while holding her hand out.

"Ray Palmer." Ray introduces himself while shaking her hand.

"Mary, who is it?" The three hear someone else from inside call and Peter looks in shock to see his father, Richard. He looks in amazement to see his son and Ray. "Peter, so good to see you!" He says as he hugs Peter who hugs back. "So, how was it?"

"How was what?" Peter asks, not focusing on anything other than his parents.

"How was the mission? How did it go?" Mary asks in excitement. "Did you see anything exciting?"

"Honey, he just got here, let him at least come in first before pondering him with questions." Richard says to Mary with a smile before turning to Ray. "You're welcome to stay for dinner if you want, Mr. Palmer."

Ray chuckles and could eat. "I could never say no to a homecooked meal."

"Well, you're in luck. We made spaghetti and meatballs." Mary says as they all head inside and Peter looks to see and it looks as if nothing has changed from his childhood.

Walking around the living room, Ray looks and sees a photo of Peter with his parents and another woman at what looked to be a High School Graduation as he was wearing the normal cap and gown, but he seemed to be at least fourteen.

"That was taken after the ceremony." Mary tells Ray with a smile on her face, showing just how proud she is of her son. "Us and my sister, May. He was the youngest there to graduate. A real genius he is."

"I would imagine." Ray says with a smile before wondering something. "You know, Peter mentioned an uncle. He doesn't like talking about it, you know anything?"

Mary suddenly went from a smile to a sad face at the memory. "Ben Parker. He was looking after Peter one weekend, we were out of town on business and Peter usually gets along with Ben. But they had this nasty fight, Peter was going through some changes due to the spider bite. He was changing. But it ended with him storming out...and when Ben went looking for him, he ran into a robber and tried to stop him." She begins to tear up at the loss of her sister's late husband. "He was shot when Peter found him. Bleeding on the street." She began to tear up before wiping away the tears.

"I'm sorry." Ray says. "I know how it feels to loose someone close."

"Thank you." Mary says as they change the subject.

Richard and Peter were just at the table in the other room, wondering what to say.

"How did this happen?" Peter finally asks.

"You could thank Mr. Snart for that." Richard says, confusing Peter.

Snart pulls out a pill that has gone around everyone. "This is an amnesia pill, take this and you'll loose some short term memory, nothing major. Then again, you don't need to. It's up to you."

"So, I can remember all of this, just don't tell anyone?" Richard guesses and Snart just slips the pill away and Richard was on his way out.

But Snart quickly stopped him and whispers something into his ear. "Five years from now, when your house gets broken into, stay with your son. Do not leave his side."

"I took his advice. When we were broken into, we just reported it. Stayed with Ben and May and they found out the people who broke in worked for Oscorp." Richard says and Peter couldn't believe what he's being told as Snart went out of his way to actually save his family. "What ever happened to him and your team?" He wonders.

"Well...we almost saved history, but we were betrayed and Snart sacrificed his life to save us and Rip dropped us off to finish the mission alone." Peter told him, feeling like he doesn't know what to do.

"So, they still need you?" Richard asks.

"No, he made it clear that he doesn't want to put anyone else's life in danger." Peter said.

"Is that really going to stop you?" Richard asks with a brow raised. "Peter, you never give up that easily. You really going to let a madman take control of history?"

Peter thinks for a minute and looks around the home that was returned to normal. "I could just stay, have a normal life like I always wanted to."

"But would you want to loose the opportunity to travel time and space like some Doctor Who hero?" Richard asks Peter, causing him to become more torn from life with his family or the life of being a hero. "It's all right, we'll be right here, ready to welcome you home when you're ready to come back."

Peter smiles and walks over to his dad and hugged him as Ray and Mary retuned. "Hey, what's going on in here?"

Peter then went over and hugged his mother. "Mom, I'm sorry, but we just dropped in to see how you guys were doing. Me and Ray have to go, we still have a bad guy to catch."

"We do?" Ray asks and sees he has a plan. "Oh, yes, we do!"

"I promise to stay in touch, better than I have recently." Peter tells the two as they all get pulled into a group hug.

"Go save the world, son." Richard says.

"Just promise to not do anything crazy." Mary asks of him.

"Nah, there's no way I can promise that." Peter jokes as they make their way out and Peter takes a phone with him this time, along with a few other things; clothes, gadgets, and other personal belongings to stay in touch.

"So where to now?" Ray asks Peter.

"First Things first, let's check up on a friend." Peter tells him and already checking social media for a specific person.

Central City

Mick was in the middle of a heist with a replacement Snart and they were just on their way out when he turned and shot at the guard.

"You idiot. We're in the clear." Mick informed him.

"He was going after us." He told Mick as they made it to the car waiting for them.

"On foot. You shot him, and waisted ammo." Mick says as sirens approach.

"Cops are coming. You want to yell at me some more, or should we get out of here?"

"Neither." Mick says as he shoots him before grabbing the cold gun and getting into the car.

"Hey, Mick." Ray greets him and Mick is shocked to see him and then looks in the back to see Peter.

"Long time no see, Hothead." Peter greets him with a smile.

"Dear god." Mick says in shock and annoyance. "Drive." He tells Ray and they drive off.

"Well, you didn't waste any time getting back to your roots." Ray says to Mick as the two of them stand in a parking lot and Peter sits on top of the car.

"I like stealing stuff. It makes me feel good." Mick tells them.

"Yeah, guess Snart's death took a toll on you." Peter took a guess.

"Did you ever think that you weren't meant to do this anymore?" Ray asks.

"What do you guys want?" Mick asks.

"We just wanted to see you." Peter said. "I know how it feels to loose people close to you."

"I'm fine." Mick promises. "I just don't understand. Son of a bitch never did anything without a plan."

Ray starts to put something together and smiles before facing Mick "Maybe you're right. Maybe he wanted this." He gestured to the three of them.

"What are you doing with your hand?" Mick asks, not understanding.

"Maybe he wanted all of us to, you know, be partners." Ray explains and bumps his fist against Mick's shoulder.

"Think I'm going to be sick." Mick states.

"Maybe Snart knew we'd keen an eye on you, while you did the same for us." Ray says.

"While doing what?" Mick asks.

"Snart's last words to me were to live like a legend." Peter told them. "He wanted us to continue what we started."

Star City

The next day, they returned to the spot where the Waverider left and see the rest of the team is there with the same thoughts of finishing the mission.

"I don't understand. This should've worked." Ray says as he fixes the device to see why it isn't working.

"Did you account for subspace interference?" Stein asks.

"It's the first thing I thought of." Ray replies.

"Can you reach the Waverider or not?" Sara asks.

"We're working on it." Both of them reply when Peter's senses went off.

"No worries." Peter says as the Waverider comes in and lands, following by Rip exiting the ship.

"I thought I made my intentions perfectly clear." Rip says as Peter quickly tapped his shoulder.

"Just wanted to make sure it's really you." Peter explains.

"And we would like to be equally clear about ours." Stein states.

"You're not ditching us again." Jax promises. "When the mission's over, then we can all go our separate ways.

"And this mission is not over." Stein agrees.

"Yeah, just curious how much headway you've had tracking Savage without all of us." Ray says.

"A possible location where he brought Carter and Kendra, but nothing big." Rip tells them. "But neither have I got myself into bar fights in 1975, put dwarf star technology in the hand of terrorists, or got myself turned into a scary bird monster."

"We get your point." Mick says. "Now get ours." He then grabs Rip by the coat so he can't leave. "That ship's not taking off without us. You got that?"

Rip then sighs and sees they're deadest on this and leads them back to the ship, ready to save their friends and stop Savage.

As the ship began to take off, one elderly man was present as he watched the ship fly off and vanish into thin air but the boost sent his car flying and crumbling.

"Welp, at least it's a rental." Stan Lee mumbled to himself before looking around and seeing nobody around and wondered what he was even doing here. "Guess I'm walking." He says as he began to walk to the nearest bus station.
