Fear and disbelief filled the defenders of the Digital World as they looked upon this newer version of Quartzmon, while the invading Digimon looked even more afraid, quickly turning and trying to flee Primary City before facing the wrath of the warped Digimon.
As Davis stared upon the draconic nightmare, a familiar chuckle caught his attention, hearing his dark counterpart speaking through the comm system once again.
"It still amazes me. I went to their world, looking to see if I could harness Quartzmon's power for myself. But when I arrived, I had found that Tagiru and Arresterdramon had defeated him before I got there. But instead of reverting to a Digi-egg, Quartzmon's power merged itself with Arresterdramon, his Data wiping out Gumdramon's old and annoying personality, leaving a hollow shell that he could use, while driving Tagiru insane, leaving the pair you now see before you, both obsessed with power, while having the ability to tear worlds apart. The perfect duo." The Dark King remarked with an amused tone, allowing the Digi-heroes and their allies to realize how much danger they were in.
Seeing their dark counterparts, Tagiru and Arresterdramon quickly sped towards the city, the sight causing Tai to growl as he looked at Mikey, Shoutmon X7, Sakuyamon, Justimon, MirageGaogamon, JagerLoweemon and Ranamon.
"Stay with them, we'll help Davis!" The brunette called as he, WarGreymon, Haru and Globemon took off, pursuing Tagiru and Arresterdramon as they prepared to fight Quartzmon, while the rest kept an eye on the damaged BlackShoutmon X7, along with the Dark Mikey and Jeremy.
"Keep an eye on them." Matt told his group as he, MetalGarurumon, Magnamon, Marcus and ShineGreymon took off as well, leaving the others to look over the unconscious forms of Dark Christopher and the De-Digivolved and damaged MetalGreymon.
"Keep an eye on her!" Aldamon called out as he and Gallantmon shot to the sky, rushing back towards the city.
"You know you can count on us to back you up!" Astora called back, expressing both his enthusiasm and his dedication to his friends, his words causing Entermon to nod a little, keeping his groove to a minimum.
"By the way, just how tough is that guy?" The Apptuber then asked as he looked at Zephyrmon, having not faced this foe before.
"In order to defeat Quartzmon, all five teams had to be called to Koto in order to stop his army, and even then, we had trouble." Zoe said in reply, recalling the onslaught of Venom and MaloMyotismon, as well as how Quartzmon revealed his twisted figure through Astamon, shivering a little.
"So not Groovy..." Astora and Entermon let out in a shared downcast tone, before their attention was shifted to the slowly waking form of Dark Angie, who then let out a scream upon seeing Quartzmon: DM over the city.
"Stay with them, Stingmon and I need to help them!" Ken said from his partner's shoulder as they took off, leaving the rest of those around Dark Yuu, Dark Airu and their broken forces truly worried as to what was going to happen.
Panicked a little, Dark Yuu shoved Dark Airu forward, telling her with a commanding, but shaky voice."Airu, get in there and fight for your Master..."
"But I'm too cute to die, Master!" Dark Airu cried out with her own fear, wrapping her arms around Dark Yuu and hiding herself around his chest.
Back at the city, Davis' sense of danger kicked in the moment Quartzmon: DM looked at him, causing him to bring his swords up in a cross shape, creating a massive energy barrier of light as dark energy erupted from the warped Digimon's mouth, sending a blast of energy that crashed against the barrier and leaving Davis to groan as he held the attack back, feeling that it could have easily obliterated the city and the surrounding area if he hadn't repealed it.
Giving another fearsome roar, the warped Digimon that was Quartzmon: DM glared toward Davis, leaving the Digidestined of Miracles staring back at his foe, before noticing Dark tagiru atop the Digimon's head and grinning.
"You actually managed to stop one of Quartzmon's attacks." The corrupt brunette remarked with a laugh, while Quartzmon: DM's eyes began to glow brightly, where the warped Digimon unleashed a barrage of red energy beams towards Davis and Shadowknight.
"Aura Barrier!"
Upon hearing the familiar call of his partner, Davis looked on, watching as Magnamon appeared before him, stretching his arms out and producing a sphere of pure light, protecting both from Quartzmon: DM's terrible power, though crying out in pain as the dark energy struck his barrier.
"Magnamon!" Davis let out, concern filling him to the clear pain his partner endured, before quickly appearing in front of Magnamon, swinging his blades, which deflected Quartmon's beams, causing them to scatter out on strike areas along the city's perimeter, allowing Magnamon to drop his barrier.
"Funny... I came to save you, but you're saving me..." Magnamon let out, grinning behind his helmet as he looked upon Davis' ascended form, sensing the great power the Digidestined of Miracles wielded.
Soon enough, Davis saw Omnimon, Aldamon, Globemon, Gallantmon, Stingmon and ShineGreymon arrive, their partners either on their shoulders or on the ground nearby, with all showing their support toward the maroon haired Digidestined.
"Don't you dare ask us to leave, this is our fight as well, Davis." Tai let out in a determined voice, before Arresterdramon: Superior Mode flew up before the ascended warrior.
"Plus, there's no way I am backing down from this ugly freak, not last time, and certainly not this time. We beat him before, and we'll do it again!" The Superstar Digimon declared, getting agreeing nods from the others, before growling as they heard the Dark Tagiru laugh like he just heard the biggest joke ever.
"I seriously forgot how much of an idiot you sounded like!" The corrupt brunette let out, before Quartzmon DM's voice was heard as it questioned with malice. "You think you can defeat me? You are all insects, and will perish before me, no matter what universe you are from!"
"Just like last time, your arrogance is your weakness, and you are alone, unlike us!" Davis said back as his eyes began to shine, where Magnamon and Stingmon began to glow with a similar light, much to the surprise of everyone present but Shadowknight, before they turned into energy and came together, where Ken blinked to now find himself on the shoulder of Imperialdramon: Fighter Mode, who looked equally surprised to see himself DNA Digivolved, and so quickly.
"Ok, that is impressive, but we should really focus on big, bad and ugly there." Globemon remarked, causing the others to nod as they turned and faced the draconic nightmare, who let out a great and piercing roar filled with rage.
"Now this is more like it! Let's show them why we're the top dogs!" Dark Tagiru let out, causing Quartzmon: DM to let out another roar as he rushed at the heroes, ready to strike them down.
"Transcendent Sword!"

Both Omnimon and ShineGreymon drew out their melee weapons as they rushed at Quartzmon: DM, their blades clashing with his claws as they tried to hold the beast back.
"Positron Laser!"
"Lightning Joust!"
"Atomic Inferno!"
"Prism!"
"Shining Gazer!"
As the attacks rushed at Quartzmon: DM's head, Shadowknight's blades altered into a dark energy in his hands, which he brought together, forming a massive ball of dark and fire energy, which he then threw with a great cry at his foe, Davis mimicking his actions as he unleashed a blast of light energy at Quartzmon: DM.
Striking their foe, the heroes all smirked as Quartzmon: DM let out a great cry of pain, falling backwards as part of his body broke apart, showing the damage he sustained.
However, much to their shock, what looked like the eerie green energy of the Digi-Quartz emerged from his broken body, quickly repairing his damaged form, while also seeming to power him up.
"You idiots really thought it'd be that easy? He had the power of my entire world absorbed into him! You're just ants trying to take down a god!" Dark Tagiru bellowed madly, enjoying the shock his counterpart and the others all expressed.
As though to prove his partner's point, Quartzmon: DM let gave another roar as the eye on his chest began to glow, causing eerie green portals to open up around him, where dozens of stretching pale hands, resembling Quartzmon's old hands, emerged around the heroes, before unleashing barrages of dark energy attacks, which left the heroes to block and to dodge the onslaught of arms.
From inside the Command Room of the DATS Tower, Kari was feeling anxious and afraid, afraid of losing her friends, of losing Davis, losing everything she loved and cherished so much, while all she could do was sit there and watch.
The more she watched, the more Kari thought of her dark counterpart, of the darkness consuming her from within, and wondered how close she was to ending up just like her twisted double.
However, feeling a hand on her shoulder, Kari turned to see the older TK, along with Izael, smiling reassuringly at her.
"You have nothing to fear, Kari. Your Davis is more than capable of handling anything that comes his way." The older TK told Kari with a continued comfort in his voice, the words, confidence and TK's trusting expression caused Kari to smile back, before turning her attention back toward the screen, back upon Davis, as she closed her eyes, praying for his safety, not noticing her hands glowing lightly, though the older blond and Izael did with smiles of their own.
Back outside, the battle above Primary City continued to rage, with the invading dark Digimon running for their lives, a sight that continued to bewilder the humans, Digimon and Appmon protecting the city, wondering what was so frightening that even Quartzmon: DM's allies were running from him.
But deciding to figure out the sudden rise in fear later, the group facing Dark Tagiru charged on.
"Giga Crusher!"
"Shield of the Just!"
"Supreme Cannon!"
"Glorious Burst!"
"Solar Wind Destroyer!"
"Prism Gallett!"
"Shining Gazer!"
The attacks all launched at the dark form that was Quartzmon: DM, who laughed maddingly as the damage was quickly negated upon contact with his body, while the warped Digimon continued his onslaught of energy attacks, tearing through buildings and destroying skyscrapers as he paid no mind to the damage he caused.
But from his position, clenching his Fusion Loader, being Tagiru, the brunette yelled. "C'mon, guys! We beat this blowhard before, so we can do it again!"
Upon hearing Tagiru's call, encouraged a little by the brunette, the mood changed as Dark Tagiru chuckled darkly.
"You can defeat me? A dumb and clueless idiot like you thinks they can defeat me?" Dark Tagiru questioned, continuing to stare down his foes with a growing arrogance and resentment.
"In your dreams! I have the power of the Digi-Quartz under my control, I have a Digimon capable of bending worlds to my will, so this dream is about to become a nightmare for all of you!" The corrupt brunette then declared, continuing to express his madness, before looking at his double with a dark glee, telling Tagiru. "You are pathetic, a loser stuck in Mikey's shadow. You call yourself a Superstar, but you never had what it takes to be number one, unlike me! I won't let friends, beliefs or ideals hold me back like they do you! That's why I will win here, and you will be what you've always been, nothing!"
Seeing his counterpart looking down, the Dark Tagiru smirked, before looking surprised as Tagiru looked up at him with a determined look on his face.
"Says you!" Tagiru snapped back, keeping a defiant glare at his darker counterpart and telling him. "If I had given into that darkness always win crap, my Quartzmon would've consumed my world already. I know that I... no we can stop you. You talk a big game, but I have my friends and my Digimon to back me up. So whatever you've got, throw it this way and you'll see this Superstar can handle anything a jerk like you dishes out!"
His friends smirking at his words, at his determination through his stubbornness/thick head/brashness, Tagiru's allies all looked back at his dark counterpart, only to see a dark, morbid smirk appear on his face.
"So be it!" Dark Tagiru yelled back as he drew his right hand up, showing that he was holding something, revealing his Dark Fusion Loader, causing the group of heroes to look on with a growing shock, especially as a dark aura began to form around the dark brunette and his partner.
Meanwhile, on the outskirts of the city, Shoutmon X7, Mikey, and those with them looked to see a similar aura forming around BlackShoutmon X7, Dark Mikey, Dark Jeremy and their minions, causing them to start to panic.
"No... no!" Dark Mikey let out as Dark Jeremy began to try and run away with many of the panicking Dark Digimon.
Nearby, the unconscious forms of Dark Christopher, Dark ZekeGreymon, and the Black Flare army were being covered in the same aura, a sight being seen with Dark Nene and her army, who all looked terrified as they tried to run, much to the confusion of their enemies.
"No, please no!" Dark Angie screamed as she and her forces were consumed in dark energy, her enemies backing up as they began to realize what was happening.
Nearby, Dark Yuu pushed his servant to the side as he started to run, while Dark Airu was petrified, before both and their servants were consumed in dark energy, which, along with the rest of the invading forces, were turned into energy, shooting towards Quartzmon: DM and surrounding him in a cocoon of dark energy.
"He force fused all his allies?!" Mikey questioned aloud, and with clear shock, seeing the dark sphere float into the sky, growing considerably in size, larger than Quartzmon used to be, before bursting, revealing a horrid sight.
Losing his draconic appearance, and completely losing what was left of his Arresterdramon, the heroes and heroines around the area looked in shock, horrified at what Dark Tagiru had done to his partner.
Looking upon the gargantuan sized Digimon, its body had taken a more menacing and arachnid-like build, with the twisted Digimon's chest built up with a black sphere of dark energy, holding within it the combined energies of Dark Tagiru's power and the Digi-Quartz itself, which spread out, forming six pale white legs, alongside a spear-tipped tail.
Golden platings acted as an armour, which were set over and covered the warped Digimon's legs, but the sight of its face threw many into despair as they gazed at the six eyes of Quartzmon, which were cast upon a serpent-like head, with a pair of sharp horns coming out of the top of the head.
Its warped Fusion complete, the creature drew up its head, its lower jaw splitting into two, showing off its many teeth and long tongue as it let out an unearthly shriek, sending panic through many as it looked down at the city below.
"Now, gaze upon Quartzmon: Destroyer Mode, and despair!" Dark Tagiru bellowed, causing everyone to look up, seeing a dark shape, resembling a human torso with arms and a head, upon Quartzmon: Destroyer Mode's head, leaving all to pale and to realize that Tagiru's counterpart had actually fused himself with this abomination as well.
Bringing his swords up, Davis growled lightly, knowing that if they didn't stop this monster soon, then everyone would be in grave danger.
