The Sorcerer's Fire Child - Part 8
Chapter 9
For Blaise and his family, life was confusing and when it came down to it, things just happen.
For him he liked to think that it was faith that brought him into his Papa's life and thus making him a better man and his Papa always said that he never regreted finding him or adopting him for that matter.
Calista was his little cousin, but now she is his offical little sister and she like, all little siblings can be a royal pain, but they always find a way make you smile and laugh at the most ridicuious of things just make you happy.
When I first started at Hexley Hall alot of people that my Papa was my Master and that I was his Apprentice, then when the teachers saw my adoption status, they quickly apologized for the confusion, but when it came to my peers, will that was a whole other can of worms.
Because of my usual appearance and my status, all of the boys in my year would, shove, trip or hex, curse me in halls away from the teacher's watchful eye and it got so bad that when my Papa found out and he got involved and well... lets just say that the boys in my year stopped messing with me after that.
The girls on the other hand, would try to sit next to me or even worse try to kiss me and some even fainted when I looked them and I am always thinking girls are weird as the stood in groups giggling and whispering as I walked by them.
When I asked my Papa about this he tried to explain that girls might like, like him and that is why they are behaving they are and he should be kind and respectful towards them and any person in general, even if they are rude or nasty toward you.
"I still think girls are weird."
Papa just would laugh at that and ruffle my hair.
Yes...Life was a truly confusing and weird thing.

Life for Calista had barely started when she lost her mother to tragedy at the tender age of 6 and she was adopted by her Uncle Cedric and her cousin, Blaise when she turned 7.
At first she was afraid to speak for awhile due the lost her of mother and he fear of losing anyone else and she horrible nightmares for awhile that make it harder to cope at times, but thankfully she had her family around her to help.
But then when she felt that she not going to left alone again, she started to talk and it made her uncle and cousin extremely happy and the best part was she was never alone as she always had someone to play with or talk too about things that confused or interest her.
When her uncle asked if she wanted to be adopted by him, she was so happy and now she offically can call him Papa and her cousin, Blaise is now her brother it was the best day of her life.
Then there was the time she was introduced to the "Royal Twins" she was excited to meet them.
James welcomed her with open arms and was always willing to play any type of game with her and teach her how to play pranks on the staff or the King and Queen.
Amber was abit more reserved and with alot of persistent and a question about stars and their purpose in the world, the cold princess, started to slowly open up to her and now they are both the best of friends.
For the most part she lived with her Papa and brother in the tower, but sometimes, she sleeps over with Amber just to have "Girl Time" as the older girl called it and they always had a great time.
Then of course when she got her letter to go to Hexley Hall, she was overjoyed and she could not wait to get started on learning new spells and potions.
Yes...Life was great.

When Cedric first started his role as the Royal Sorcerer after his father's retirement, people did not think he would be any thing like his father and it made him bitter and angry for the longest time.
Then one day he was out looking for herds and mushrooms in the Royal woods, and as he walking around, he heard sobbing and saw a cloaked figure sitting the middle of a clearing and when he asked what was wrong the figure, startled by his presence, ran off and was never found to this day. He was going to back, when he heard the whimper from behind a fallen log and saw a pile of blankets, movement and with a cautious pull of the blanket he revealed a newborn babe with fiery red hair and icy blue eyes.
Without much thought he picks up the infant and brings him back to the castle and tells the King what happen, the king quickly sents off guards to search the woods and in the months the months that follow, Cedric took the infant under his care and over time grew to love the child as his own and with the King's permission adopted the child and gave him the Blaise.
For the next 10 years he watched the boy grow into sweet, caring, mischievous, talented boy and all was good with the world until he got the worse new he had ever received.
His older sister, Cordelia had died in a tragic accident, leaving behind her only daughter, his niece, Calista who by that time had turned 6 and when he got guardianship of her, she suffered terrible nightmares and panics when scared and it was so bad that she did not speak for the longest time, until one day she started to talk onces more and he was on cloud nine that day as he was truly happy to hear her voice onces more.
When, Blaise first introduce Calista to the Royal Twins, he was little worried about Amber's coldness, but by some miracle the younger girl won the princess over and now they are the best of friends.
Then after almost a year, both he and his son asked, Calista if she wanted to be adopted and become his daughter and she happily said yes and gave us one of her famous hugs with a bright smile on her face.
A few months later she was accepted in Hexley Hall and she was overjoyed and asked both me and Blaise about our times there and how she was so excited about learning new spells and potions, making us both smile as they were reminded of the happiness that came with getting their letters.
But now he thinks that his life is so much better now, and it was thanks to both his son, Blaisea and his daughter Calista, the two bright spots in his life.
Yes...his future certainly looked alot brighter.
