I wanted to get this story up before Christmas day.

I'm still going to re-write this story but I wanted to put this chapter up because it's Christmas...

Lin POV

I was watching Mai sleep in the hospital bed. We barely managed to vanquish the demon that haunted a mother and son, it took everyone on the team to defeat it, and when I mean everyone I mean everyone except Hara-san. And my concern about Mai's safety when we learned that it was a demon was justified, it attacked her the moment she set foot in to the house. But I also have admire Mai, she didn't let it beat her, she stayed on her feet and performed the chants she had learned over the years. Mai has scars all over her body from the attack. Mai was winning the battle so the demon went full force (as Takigawa-san said when he explained what happened to our clients) on Mai. Naru noticed that Mai is getting stronger, hell we all noticed it. But that doesn't stop her from being a magnet to danger.

The demon also attacked Brown-san because he is a priest, it tried to choke him with the crucifix around his neck. Now both Father Brown and Mai are in hospital for observation, they will be released Christmas Day...

That's right It's Christmas eve and tomorrow Mai will officially be my fiencee... That's if she says yes. I have already asked her, but I plan on making it offical in front of the SPR team.

"Lin-san?" A soft female voice came from the doorway. I looked over to see a doctor standing there with a friendly smile. "I thought you would like to know Taniyama-san's test results..." I nodded, not saying anything.

"She's perfectly healthy... And she will be ready to go home for Christmas."

"Thank you doctor." I bowed in respect.

"That's not all..."

"What is it?"

"I don't know how you or Taniyama-san will take this concidering how young you two are... Taniyama-san is pregnant..."

I stared at her like she had two heads. "You sure? I mean we used protection..." Yes, I know protection is not affective. "She have symptems before..."

"How long ago was this?"

"About nearly a month or so ago... She took some tests but they came back negative."

"Taniyama-san is only two weeks pregnant. So from your reaction she didn't have any symptoms?"

"None. is that normal?" I started to panick that Mai might have a misscaige.

"Some women will have extreme symptoms and some don't have any, it's not impossible..." The doctor paused when her pager went off. I've got to go, but it's nothing to worry about, go to your local hospital for another check up in another couple of weeks."

"Thank you doctor." I bowed at the doctor who bowed back and left the room. I turned back to Mai and placed a hand on her stomach. It's too early for Mai to start showing so her stomach was still flat. I rubbed her stomach and smiled.

This baby was unexpected but already wanted. I can't wait to tell Mai. I wonder how she will react."

"How is she?" Brown-san's broke my thoughts.

"She is healthy despite what you two went through yesterday. The tests came back clear. How are you?"

"I'm fine, I just want to go home." The young priest sat down in the chair next to me.

"You will take it easy won't you?" I asked him in concern and he nodded.

The next day Mai woke up and I told her and a smile spread slowly across her face, then it turned in to confusion. "Protection is not a hundred percent. Personally, I don't know why we used protection in the first place, from my recation when the doctor told me last night and from your reaction just now, we want this baby."

"I do want this baby... But I don't have any symptoms..." I explained what the doctor told me and Mai nodded. Just then Brown-san and the doctor from last night came in giving Mai and Brown-san the all clear.

I dropped Brown-san off. Mai and I told him in the car and congratuladed us with a big smile. When Mai and I got home we decided to tell my parents, and they were over the moon.

"We will be there as soon as we can." My father said, he tried to act calm but I can see the excitment in his face.

"I want to see Mai." My mother didn't hide her excitment, she was smiling, a smile that almost reached her ears and she was jumping up and down.

"I'm not showing just yes."

"Look Mother, we have to go and get ready for our Christmas party, the team are coming over." I said cutting my mother off.

"Of course my son. We can talk later. Merry Christmas."

"Merry Christmas Mother, Father."

"We love you both." Mother said.

"Love you Mother." Mai and I said together. We ended the video call and got ready.

After a a couple of hours we were done, the food was cooking. Naru was the first to arrive. He shook my hand and gave Mai a hug when we told him. Soon everyone arrived and we told them over the Christmas feast.

We laughed and celebrated all day. Matsuzaki-san asked Mai some question. Mai had been feeling tired the past two weeks most days. She didn't know where she got the energy to fight the demon. Mai felt dizzy at times.

"Those are some symptoms Mai." Matsuzaki-san pointed out. Mai nodded. I pulled her to me. And eventually we moved to the Christmas tree that Mai set up on the first of December.

"Presents!" Mai clapped happily. Brown said picked a present radomly and read the name on the present.

"Hara-san." Hara-san smiled and opened her present to reveal a new make-up set from I'm guessing Matsuzaki-san.

Naru got a new phone from me. His last one broke when facing the demon.

Matsuzaki-san got a new a nail art set from Mai and a giant bear from Takigawa.

I got a chess set from Naru and dogtag necklace with a dragon on it from Mai.

Takigawa got a new guitar from Matsuzaki-san and a gift card Mai.

Naru got new books from me and Mai. We also got Brown-san from us.

Yasu got create your own crystals set, surprisingly from Naru.

"Oh Lin there is one more present." Brown-san pulled a small wrapped box and handed it to me.

I unwrapped it and went down on one knee in front to Mai who gasped and covered her mouth, her eyes wide in surprise.

"Mai, I know I have already asked you, but I want to make it offical... Mai Taniyama will you make me the happiest man and marry me?" I opened the box to reveal a gold ring with a simple diamond.

"Yes." Was all she said with a smile and she leaned down and placed her hand either side of my face and kissed me. I covered her face and kissed her back. And for a moment I forgot we had an audience. They stopped cheering after a few minutes and someone cleared their throat. Mai and I pulled apart and I slipped the ring on her finger.

I looked over a Naru and he grinned and turned his phone around and on his screen were my parents. My father was smiling and my Mother was crying happy tears.

I rolled my eyes and then glared at Naru. "Wait until it is your turn Naru." I warned him. Naru only grinned even wider.

It was nearly midnight and Mai fell asleep on my shoulder. Everyone had brought thier sleeping bags. Brown-san took the sofa bed and Naru took the bed in the spare room. I carried Mai to our bedroom and helped her change into one of my shirts that reaches to her knees. I tucked her in and went to my side. Mai automatically reached for me, I took her hand and pressed aginst her back and she went back to sleep. My hands went to her belly... I fell asleep with a smile on my face.

My own family... I've got my own family.

Life couldn't get any better.

I'm sorry if this is so short... and boring. It's in the middle of the night where I am right now, I'm tired and it's Christmas eve. I wanted to get this chapter up for Christmas.

This story is not over yet. I will update again when I can. I will edit this chapter later.
