Finally, the moment we were all waiting for, the first true fight of the Fourth War, and Mordred's reunion with someone from her past. Before I start I must warn you that since this is my first time, I am not good at fighting scenes so I had to copy them from other fanfic, although I also added some of my own. With that, enjoy.

Chapter 10: Red vs Blue. The first confrontation

21/11/2020

Ichigo cursed himself when he put his hand on top of his head to rub himself, while at the same time trying to get up still inside Rider's carriage. The air ride had not been to his liking as he felt like he was riding in a violent roller coaster, but at least he was not nauseous.

"Oi, are you okay?" Kon asked, he getting on top over the teen's shoulder to check his state.

"Yeah..." Ichigo replied with a small growl. He was glad that the crazy journey was over, and they had finally landed on the ground.

However, little did he know that this was far from over now that they had reached the fated battlefield and were in the middle of it all.

"Oi, look at that!" The Mod soul suddenly yelled pointing out to the right, and Ichigo turned to that direction. His eyes flickered as he saw that several feet away, a well-built looking man was standing clean shaven with long hair brushed back roughly, except for a lock that fell in front of his face. He wore a dark teal sleeveless armor breastplate.

On his hands he carries 2 spears more than 2 meters long and of different colors: red and yellow.

"Is that guy one of those Servant?" Kon asked as he took in the man.

Ichigo did not reply as he appraised the person staring at him. It certainly seemed to be a of tall stature (not as tall as Rider) handsome-looking man, one that any woman would want to be with. He was dressed in a battle suit from times past similar to a breastplate, and in his hands, he held a pair of spears that indicated the class he belonged to. "He must be Lancer class." The orange haired boy concluded by remembering what Urahara taught him order to identity each class of Servants.

"Are you seeing that, Saber?" Ichigo asked while still staring at Lancer, waiting for his fellow Servant to hear.

.

.

.

"Saber?" He asked again, but there was no answer.

Turning his head back, he saw Mordred completely of back looking the other side of the carriage, clearly not showing absolute attention to her Master. Ichigo and Kon could only look on confused by Saber's strange behavior.

"Oi, are you listening to me?" He asked again. "What the hell are you looking at there?"

Deciding to find out what was keeping his Servant so distracted, he moved toward her until he was right next to her, to get a better look at what she was looking at. When he did, his eyes went wide when he saw something he did not expect to see.

A few meters away from them stood the other Servant fighter, who was undoubtedly a young girl in her laters teens, but the only thing that caught their attention of her was that she was incredibly similar to Mordred as if they were twins. She had the same golden blonde hair, except that unlike Mordred, she did not seem to be too rebellious, plus like the Knight of Rebellion, she was styled in the same updo style. Instead of having a ponytail, the rest of the hair was tied in a bun at the back. Lastly, she also sported the same emerald eyes.

The next thing that caught Ichigo's attention was her outfit. In contrast to the Knight of Rebellion, she wore something more subtle less full armor. She wore an antique-style dress, made of old-fashioned navy blue fabric that ended in a large, large blue skirt that reached just above her feet, with a white interior and a pair of armor extensions that it started on each side of the waist and went all the way.

The only thing she had armor on her was just her silver colored gauntlets and greaves/scarps.

At first glance, it seemed that the young blonde looked completely disarmed, but in her right hand she was holding something that could not be seen to the mere human eye as if it were invisible.

Just when Ichigo was about to open his mouth to say something, suddenly without warning, Mordred takes a sharp leap into the air, surprising everyone. She had the sword with both hands raised above her head.

"Aaaaah!"

She let out her war cry as she descended madly her target, her blue doppelgänger. She was taken by surprise, but she braced herself when her enemy had cut the distance and prepared to swing his sword. But just when Mordred's sword was about to hit its target, it was suddenly blocked by the invisible weapon.

*CLANG*

The deafening sound of the 2 sabers colliding with each other sent small gusts of wind around them like no other human warrior would have been able to do this. The witnesses saw this totally surprised.

Despite having stopped the advance of her enemy's crimson-silver greatword, the blue-robed Saber had quite a bit of difficulty withstanding the impact. But still she held her ground had her clenched her teeth trying not to fall under the pressure of her opponent. The latter was staring at her doppelgänger with a furious gaze that radiated in pure hatred like never before seen.

The blue Saber tried to keep her feet nailed to the ground, not letting herself be carried away by the force of her red double, which without a doubt for a normal human would be like stopping the direct onslaught of an uncontrolled bull, something that would be completely impossible. It was after a few moments that she noticed that her attacker's strength was diminishing, and she took the opportunity to gather strength and counterattack.

Launching her own scream, the blue Saber propelled her arms forward, pushing of the complete armor one back in the air, separating both weapons, and the latter fell softly to the ground, her feet sliding backward across the ground until she stopped right next to the carriage where she had jumped.

"Oi, Mordred, what the hell-

"SHUT UP!" Mordred roared, half turning her head towards her Master in irritation. "You better not interrupt me, and I told you to call me Saber, understood?"

The force of the volume of her voice caused her Master and the others except Rider to shudder. It was so tainted with anger that not even they could understand why. She did not give a damn what they thought, and turned to her main objective when...

"SILEEEEEENCEE!"

And so, the entire harbor was filled with a sharp silence after Rider's loud booming voice that filled the entire atmosphere and made everyone freeze, including Mordred, whose anger was totally overcome by Rider's voice. Those who were close to him, for example, Ichigo and Waver were very stunned and their ears were heavily covered by their hands, and although Kon did not have eardrums, the force of the voice served to shake him and dropping herself off Ichigo's shoulder.

Once everyone stopped what they were doing earlier and turned their attention to Rider, the latter prepared to speak.

"Sorry for the interruption caused by one of my subordinates." He spoke diplomatically. "It wasn't really how I wanted things to end, you understand? So, forgive me."

Ichigo, Waver, Kon (these 3 recovered from the roaring voice) and Mordred could only look puzzled at Rider wondering in unison what he was saying. The others present were also asking the same question.

Once silence reigned, Rider allowed himself to turn his head from side to side with a smile watching the other 2 Servants.

"Fate has brought us together to fight for the Grail. But first, there's something I'd like to ask."

Looking forward, the King of Conquerors spread his arms upwards diagonally in a dramatic gesture before declaring the following;

"How about... ...yielding the Grail to me and joining you my army?" He asked aloud with a big smile. "I will treat you both as my friends."

He kept declaring as he lowered his arms and wrapped his hands in fists before bumping them together. "And we shall share in the joy of world conquest together!"

"Haaa!?" Everyone who was in cahoots with Rider let out in unison a loud gasp of disbelief that filled the harbor as they put out comic anime expressions, looking at Rider in shock. They just could not believe it.

It was after a short moment, that the protests came to light.

"What the hell, Rider!? Are you serious?" Waver asked in total disbelief looking at his Servant.

"Of course, boy." Iskandar answered smoothly looking at his Master with a smile.

"But weren't we supposed to come here to fight them? How can you waste your time saying such nonsense-

Tack!

He could not talk anymore when he was suddenly struck on the forehead by a simple finger swipe that nearly knocked him out.

"Don't be naive. I already told you that the best way to gain the upper hand is with some diplomacy and by winning good allies." Rider scolded his Master.

"Hey, what the hell are you saying?" Now it was Ichigo's turn to protest against the King of Conquerors's folly. "You haven't told us to any of this. What makes you think that they will join you?"

"It worked with you and Saber." Rider replied looking at Ichigo with the same smile.

"Huh?"

"As you and Saber were desperate because you could not beat the other Masters, I gladly accepted that you join my army as my allies. I have thought about increasing the number of lackeys for my personal army."

"WHAAAT!?"

Ichigo and Waver winced slightly at the cry of surprise laden with anger and indignation and turned back to see Mordred walking towards them with a face full of anger directed towards Iskandar. It was pretty clear that that she didn't like what she heard.

"You mean that when we agreed to ally with you, you actually wanted us to become your servants or something!?"

Rider gave a nervous laugh before answering. "Indeed yes."

Mordred clenched her teeth angrier at that. She knew very well that there was something very suspicious behind this association and had always remained skeptical, apart from thinking that it was not necessary to ally. However, this had not seen it coming.

To be reduced to a mere lap dog?

She would rather die than serve a king from a distant land even if he is more powerful than the king who served before and was so devoted. Hell, even her Father would be very outraged by those words and would make it clear to him who the king is here.

She was almost tempted to throw Clarent like a projectile at the head of this bastard and impale him completely to make him erase that damn annoying smile he was giving her. However, she decided to focus her frustration and complaints on the person responsible for this situation.

"This is your fault, Ichigo!" She yelled looking with daggers towards her Master. "I knew we shouldn't have sided with these louts and look what happened. You are dumbass!"

"What!? Hey, who are you calling a dumbass, huh?" Now it was Ichigo's turn to get angry at his Servant's stupid accusation of him. Ichigo moved closer to where Mordred was standing until his face was inches from hers.

"To you, dumbass!" Mordred snapped in response. "We shouldn't have allied ourselves!"

"I didn't have the idea to bond with that asshole!" Ichigo counterattacked. "All this was the idea of Ishida who was the one insisted we join. Blame it on him later!"

"And why do you always listen to him? Is he your boss?"

"Bullshit, he's not my boss."

"Then stop listening to what others tell you and make your own decisions, or I will."

And so, both Master and Servant looked at each other like a pair of rabid dogs looking for a fight while growling as such. Waver and Rider looked a little distracted at this somewhat surreal discussion that they did not notice that one of the Servants had taken a few steps towards the carriage.

"Ahem, ahem." Lancer sneezed, drawing the attention of Rider and Saber team who turned to the direction where the spear man was, and it seemed like he wanted to declare something.

"Sorry if I interrupt your discussion." Lancer spoke in a soft voice before taking other steps toward the carriage. "I mean, you come from I don't know where, you interrupt this great duel, just to tell us such a proposal?"

He paused for a moment.

"Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you, oh great King of Conquerors, but I'm afraid I can only give the Grail to my lord." He declared with a hint of charisma on his face. It was then that his expression turned gloomy and he looked with narrow and dangerous eyes towards Rider.

"And even if it cost me my life, I would never lower myself to someone like you."

Ichigo, Waver and Kon gulped (the latter disguised) intimidated by the malicious tone of the man who showed signs of hostility.

"I agree."

Now, our protagonists turned back to see the other Saber, who was not happy either at all about Rider's offer.

"Interfere in a battle just for saying such a barbarism already seems like a big scandal to me." She declared in a cold, relaxed tone. She dangerously squints her eyes. "As a knight, this is an insult to my honor!"

Again, Ichigo and the others gulp intimidated by this. However, far from being intimidated by the reactions of both Lancer and the other Saber, the Conquerors King scratched his beard, humming briefly.

"I'd be willing to discuss compensation-

"ENOUGH!" Saber and Lancer yelled in unison, making it clear that they did not want to hear him.

Taking the hint, Rider no longer made any attempt not to urge them to accept his offer, being disappointed by it.

"Besides..." The blue Saber spoke again, drawing Rider's attention. "I too am a king. No matter how great a king you may be, I cannot lower myself to the rank of subject."

Those words made Rider's expression light up in surprise.

"Are you a king too? How interesting. If that is true, would you mind telling me your name? I've already given you mine, and a king should never be ashamed to say his name."

The blue Saber narrowed her eyes further, but relented, preparing to reveal her identity.

"My name is Arturia Pendragon, I am the rightful successor to High King Uther Pendragon." She spoke out loud for the whole world to hear. "I am the King of Britain."

And after those words, the entire port was completely silent while everyone present assimilated what she had said.

"King of Britain...?" Ichigo asked confused but could not say more when he heard Waver next to him gasp in surprise and pointing in disbelief at the newly identified Arturia.

"Are you kidding? Do you mean that you are the legendary King Arthur? The one who drew the sword from the stone, the one who defeated the Saxons at Badon Hill, the one who ruled in Camelot and who died in the Battle of Camlann?"

Rider's eyes widened in surprise and admiration upon hearing the presentation.

"Hooh, what a surprise! So you are the famously King of Knights, huh? I really didn't expect you to be quite a young girl like her daughter."

Both Arturia and Mordred frowned at Rider's comment.

Meanwhile, there were too many questions and unknowns on Ichigo's mind after the revelation of Mordred's twin, that even he could not process accurately. The only thing that remained was her name, although he did not understand why she was using it.

"King Arthur?"

"Wait a minute." Kon said suddenly on Ichigo's shoulder. "That Arthur guy wasn't Mordred's bastard father, the one she killed a long time ago?"

They both continued to stare at the other Saber whose identity led them into a pit of confusion, and they still did not understand what was happening. Was it really the same person who both Tokiomi and Mordred had they explained to them simultaneously?

Was she REALLY Mordred's father?

Before anyone could ask or comment on what was going on, a strange 'Heh' was suddenly heard. In the air, drawing the attention of the rest.

Soon the atmosphere was filled with more similar sounds that seemed more like a strange laugh and it continued like that for a little while. They all turned towards the source of laughter being Mordred with her head down and laughing like crazy for some reason. Needless to say, this was getting a bit awkward for Ichigo and the others to see her that way. It was only for a moment that she raised her head showing a huge predatory smile on her face.

"So Arturia, huh? Is that your real name? Actually, it suits you pretty well than 'Arthur', doesn't it, father?" She spoke in a tone resembling a growl. A strange aura filled with malice began to emerge from the Knight of Rebellion's body, as she prepared to declare the following.

"I've been waiting for this moment since I thought you might be the second Saber." She clenched the hilt of her sword tightly. "Now we're finally going to pick up where we left off before."

Capturing what was to come, the blue Saber braced himself for the inevitable clash of swords, and he knew that this time, her opponent would not be one she did not know.

Mordred's head was covered with the horned helmet before the uttered a fierce battle cry and lunged back at her Father.

*CLANG*

Both swords collide with each other, sending sparks into the air and both were stagnant for a moment to gain dominance over the other. Arturia was looking through clenched teeth towards her 'son' although she could not see her face, but that did not matter to her at all.

"Grrrr!"

She grunted as she put more pressure on her arms and broke the deadlock between the 2. That worked as she managed to push Mordred away, separating both blades in the process.

She swung her invisible sword horizontally, aiming to bisect the silver knight. But the knight with the horned helm managed to avoid it by making the invisible blade hit only the air. This action was repeated unsuccessfully again, and Mordred decided to imitate it by swinging her sword towards her.

At just the right moment, the blue Saber gave a mortal jump while avoiding to great silver blade and landed right behind the knight. Mordred turned back and reacted just in time to see that her counterpart had taken advantage of her opening to attack her from behind, but she whirled around to slow her advance with her sword.

*CLANG*

"hehe, you'll need a lot more to be able to kill me again." Mordred said arrogantly while still blocking her attack.

Her 'Father' does not respond while still keeping her concentration on her face. A gesture that slightly annoyed the Knight of Treachery.

"Aaaah!"

Gathering more strength, Mordred broke the sword stalemate by pushing her counterpart back, leaving her slightly disoriented for Mordred to take advantage of to swing her sword.

*CLANG* *CLANG* *CLANG*

Arturia managed to block each horizontal strike from her enemy's sword while backing away slightly. She took another step back as she avoided the silver sword swinging into the air. Taking advantage of this opening, the blue Saber raced towards its silver-red armored counterpart to try again to bisect it horizontally.

Anticipating this, Mordred dodged by moving to the left, but the blade of the sword managed to graze and penetrate the armor and lightly scrape the belly, but it was not very deep.

"Tch...!" She hissed at the feeling pain from the cut on her belly. She quickly put her hand on the wound to check how bad it was, and to her relief, it was not that bad and only made it bleed a little.

"You bustard!" She growled furiously as she turned to her opponent, who the later tried to lash out at her.

*CLANG*

Another deafening metallic sound was heard as both Sabers stared at each other with daggers in their eyes; anger and determination.

*CLANG* *CLANG* *CLANG*

The quiet of the night ended at the precise moment that the 2 Sabers began to fight each other 5 minutes ago. Several flashes of sparks emanated from each Sabers sword clash, and it must say it was quite a show.

Ichigo, Kon and Waver watched this with some amazement and awe in their expressions upon seeing the clash of swords show.

So this is a match between Servants.

They had understood that Servants are beings that had transcended humanity becoming a supernatural force that surpassed them in everything. They were great warriors of yesteryear and highly experienced assassins with a great deal of experience in combat, and because they were promoted to spirit beings, they could only imagine that their way of fighting was very similar to that of superheroes, although he never saw one in action.

To Ichigo and Kon who were used to seeing so much supernatural action, their dexterity did not seem to be much different from that of a Shinigami or Arrancar.

On the other hand, Ichigo could not help but be somewhat concerned about his Saber. Despite their strained relationship and her tough character, he couldn't help but feel concern when he saw that she suffered her first injury, although it was nothing serious, but it showed that despite her reputation, she was also vulnerable.

"Hooh. So this is a 2 Sabers match. Not bad at all." Rider commented impressed as he watched the fight entertained. Well, not so entertaining.

"If you're going to intervene to help the King of Knights, you'd better forget it." He said suddenly, causing the 3 firsts look at him and then they noticed that Lancer was approaching the place where the 2 Sabers were fighting, but was stopped by Rider's voice.

"The red Saber is my ally, and I will not let you join the other in fighting her." Rider continued with a warning tone before smiling. "Why don't you fight me? That why I've come."

Lancer frowned at that. So he also came to fight after all. He thought sarcastically. As Rider deduced, Lancer wanted to join the blue Saber in backing her up in her fight against her thick silver-armored doppelgänger, but not because they were allies. For half an hour before these 2 appeared, he and the Saber that he identify as the King of Knights had been keeping a constant fight with each other quite entertaining until they were interrupted, and now she was fighting another Saber instead of him.

He did not want to tolerate being taken away from the opponent he was fighting previously, even if it was another Saber, so he had made the decision to intervene, but seeing that there was an obstacle in the form of a chariot and its rider, he would have no choice but to deal with Rider.

Kiritsugu Emiya thought that to be well prepared to participate in a war, one should know everything that it takes to survive.

1: Do not reveal your identity and weaknesses to the enemy.

2: Attack them off guard to have an advantage.

And 3: Don't waste time making stupid proposals!

In fact, what he saw hidden here on the roof of a small harbor building with views of the battle, was a contradiction to that rule, and he found it quite surreal.

It had been half an hour since he and Maiya had arrived at the scene to witness the battle between Saber and Lancer, but at the same time they were to search for and neutralize the Master of Lancer and thus obtain the victory in their favor.

During the heat of battle, he became aware of the presence of a Servant located not far from his position watching the combatants silently without intending to intervene. It did not take long for the Magus Killer to identify the Servant as Assassin, the Servant who was supposed to have been eliminated earlier at the Tohsaka Mansion.

He did not know why he was still here and what he intends to do now, but this served to raise suspicions about Assassin's apparent 'disappearance', and he knew there was a man behind it.

Forgetting about the 'so-called' Assassin, Kiritsugu turned his attention to combat and kept looking for an opening to attack the Lancer's Master and end this until suddenly an unexpected element appeared in the form of Rider, who as soon as he broke into the battle, began to present himself revealing his identity out of nowhere, being Iskandar, better known as Alexander the Great, King of Conquerors. And if that was not enough, then he made a very daring and absurd proposal, being that they will give him the Grail and they would join his army.

Kiritsugu only shook his head in disbelief. Was this guy really the one who almost conquered the known world a long time ago?

However, what caught his attention the most was that he was not going alone since he was accompanied by another pair of Master and Servant, but the real surprise was that while evaluating the newcomers, he noticed that the Servant accompanying Rider looked INCREDIBLY similar to Saber in terms of facial appearance and hairstyle, save for the sturdy armor she wore.

As soon as she appeared on the scene, Saber's doppelgänger suddenly towards her to attack him with his great sword and thus began a new fight. It didn't take the Magus Killer to deduce from the dexterity and ability with which the new opponent was fighting that it could surely be another Saber due to how he wielded his great silver sword as she does, but that would be impossible.

There should not be 2 Servants of the same class in a war.

Putting those thoughts aside, Kiritsugu saw that the match would drag on for a while and even though his Saber managed to keep up and gain some advantage despite being exhausted from his fight with Lancer, he couldn't say how long she would hold. The Magus Killer only came up with one viable solution to balance this, and that is to neutralize his Master.

Moving one eye into sight grid of his sniper rifle, he focused on Rider's carriot, and ignoring the latter, he saw the 2 Masters, who to his little surprise were young, but not really to impress him.

He focused on the Master of the another Saber being an orange haired boy. Aiming the muzzle of the rifle right at said teenager's head with the intention of blowing his brains out with a single shot, Kiritsugu was considering pulling the trigger and ending the life of one of his opponents. The Magus Killer may have killed many more people than he counted, even minors, but he did not know if he would be able to do it again.

Again he shook his head realizing that this was a life and death situation, since assuming that if the orange haired boy is the supposed Master of the other blonde, he would have to neutralize him as soon as possible and end this at once.

With that resolution, the murder will not hesitate to take a life no matter how young it may seem.

But before...

"Maiya, what state is Assassin in?" Kiritsugu asked through an ear comm.

"It's still there..." Maiya answered on the other line.

In a position not far from Kiritsugu, the latter's assistant also had a good view of the battlefield and was aiming her own sniper rifle of the Masters in the chariot.

"Can I shoot one of the Masters?" Maiya asked in return.

"Ie. I'll take care of this." Kiritsugu replies on the other line. "You focus on Assassin and let me know of his movements."

"Ryōkai."

It was then that inadvertently, a blue luminous object shot up into the air and headed towards Maiya from the left at full speed like a projectile of light.

It look the mercenary woman a few moments to notice, but it was too late.

"Ah!"

Fortunately, the projectile was not going towards her head, but towards the rifle's head, going completely through it. Maiya recoiled back with a start.

"Doshita no, Maiya?" Kiritsugu asked worried when he heard his partner's voice.

"Gah...!"

"Oi, bujidesu ka? Maiya!"

It was then that he became aware of the presence of someone who was right behind him. His instincts were immediately activated when he noticed the threat behind him and he wasted no time in moving a hand to the holster of his pants to draw another firearm, being a Thompson Contender. He quickly flipped his body back to face the enemy and shoot him in the abdomen.

*BANG*

...?

Just when he thought he had aimed good at his attacker's abdomen and have shot point blank range successfully, the Mage Killer never expected the man's body to burst like a balloon. He was so puzzled that he never realized what came next.

His instincts were activated again when he noticed that someone positioned himself behind him and he turned back to try to face him again.

Booom!

Just when he turned around again, all he noticed was a strange lighter-shaped object in front of his face, and the next thing he saw was how it expelled a strange cloud of smoke that enveloped his face. The next thing that happened was that he quickly lost control of his limbs by dropping the weapon to the ground, and finally, the mercenary fell to the ground unconscious.

His alleged attacker, Kisuke Urahara let out a soft sigh satisfied at the unconscious man. "Wow, I see that you have very good reflexes for being just a human. If it had taken a second longer to activate the Kikanshinki, surely you would have pierced my side in an instant. I see you are not an ordinary guy."

At that moment, Uryū appears just behind the shopkeeper using a Hirenkyaku.

"Did you take care of the other person?" Urahara asked the Quincy.

"Yeah, I knocked her out."

"Good." He nodded satisfied.

Then Ishida turned his attention to the unconscious man on the ground assuming he was one of the enemy Masters, and from what he saw, he together with his partner they was trying to point his sniper weapons at any of the Masters including Ichigo.

"Urahara-san, was this guy really trying to kill both Kurosaki and Waver."

"There is no doubt about it." He replied in a serious tone. "While it is true that it is not necessary for a Master to kill another, but in reality this is not prohibited so it may allow them the freedom to do so to gain an advantage no matter how coward this method may seem."

The Quincy could not help but frown at this. Certainly these people did not mind eliminating their competitors if it meant gaining an advantage or achieving victory, and they were about to kill Kurosaki without the latter noticing if it were not for the intervention of these 2.

This war was really dangerous, and it would not be easy to win.

"So it was you, of all people."

And so, a new voice broke into the middle of the harbor being slightly amplified as if someone were using a megaphone. Although that did not serve to interrupt the battle between the 2 Sabers, the rest were almost startled, and Waver froze instantly. He could recognize that voice.

"Of all possibilities about who could have stolen me Rider's summoning catalyst, I never thought it was one of my own students, much less a rat like you." The mysterious voice continued speaking with a tone of displeasure.

As everyone looked around to see where the voice was coming from, Waver just stood still like a statue with a very tight and scary face as if he had seen a ghost. He clung closer to Rider's cloak.

"Where is that voice coming from?" Ichigo asked as he kept looking around, only to see that there was no one else.

"Nor did I imagine that you would think of participating in the War for the Grail. I am surprised by your great folly. Isn't that right, Waver Velvet?"

The boy's blood suddenly ran cold as he widened his eyes in shock at hearing that familiar name of him. Now there was no doubt who he was.

It was like this, in the middle of the shadows they heard a couple of footsteps making a little echo and it seemed that it was approaching our protagonists from behind. Instinctively, Ichigo, Rider except Waver turned in that direction to see a figure approaching on top of one of the cargo boxes. The figure itself appeared to be a middle-aged adult man. Due to the lack of light, his appearance could not be seen, but as he got closer, the moonlight took effect, showing his features.

In a moment of inspiration, Waver dared to slowly turn his head and when he did, he saw to his horror what he had most feared. The individual was undoubtedly an adult male in his 30s with swift back light blond hair and bright green eyes. He wears a navy scholar coat with white gloves, black pants, and black shoes. As soon as he revealed himself to our protagonists, the individual only looked at the young British boy as a predator and gave a cruel arrogant smile.

"Hello, Waver."

The young boy's mind almost went blank as he processed the man's identity, and he could not help but blurt out a few words.

"P-Professor Archibald." Waver stuttered still in shock.

"You mean Lord El-Melloi to you, but yes, that's me." He corrected the newly identified as Kayneth El-Melloi Archibald arrogantly.

Now Waver could feel his whole world crumble with the presence of this man whom he always despised and feared at the same time. He remembered the bitterest moments of his days in the Clock Tower, attending to El-Melloi's classes, about how this man sullied and belittled him for being a simple third-rate magus who would never have a future. All the mockery and humiliation that he had suffered because of this man had indirectly led him to participate in this fight, robbing him of Iskandar's summoning catalyst, and thus taking away the opportunity of that pompous to participate in the war, and would demonstrate that he was better commanding a Servant.

He thought he wouldn't see him again for a while and yet he still hadn't considered what he would do when he got back to England, but he had allowed herself the luxury of not thinking about it as long as he didn't see his stupid cocky face again. And yet here he was, in Fuyuki, and not in England crying for not having found the catalyst and devastated for not participating.

Apart from the fear of this man for what he could do to him for having discovered who it was that stole the catalyst, his mind was also a whirlwind of confusion.

What was he doing here?

Wasn't he should not be here in the first place because he no longer had his catalyst so he could no longer participate in the ritual?

And even more important. What are he going to do him now?

"From your reaction I gather that you will be surprised to see me here, right?" Kayneth continued speaking in his typical arrogant tone.

"Did you really think by just stealing Iskandar's catalyst, you would have managed to gamble and get away with it? Well, that could have happened, but luckily I had another catalyst at my disposal and was able to summon Lancer."

Upon hearing the last sentence, everyone turned to where Lancer was still standing, realizing that the man was the latter's Master.

"Oi, is this guy the shitty teacher you told us about in noon?" Ichigo asked looking at Waver and referring to Kayneth.

The boy looked at him for a moment still shaking with fear but nodded in confirmation.

"Well, from what I see, you seem to have teamed up with another Master, I imagine to your advantage." Kayneth spoke with amusement. "To be honest, I'm not too surprised by this considering how weak and pathetic you are."

Waver flinched further at the comment while Ichigo and Rider frowned. They were really starting to get fed up with this man.

"Putting that aside, let me ask you something..." His expression turned serious and stern. "You want to know how I was put off by the idea that I almost missed the opportunity to participate in the war? I may have gotten over that feeling by getting the relic of Lancer, but I still didn't let the fact that someone had stolen Rider's without me realizing it, and don't see the anger that I felt and I swore I'd find that dirty rat and make him pay for it."

Waver could not help but gulp as he felt the anger of his hated professor rise, and something told him that the consequences were not going to be pleasant.

"The truth is that it still amazes me of all the people, that you were the rat who dared to make fun of me and make me look ridiculous." Kayneth continued. "It also amazes me that a simple brat like you has decided to participate in this contest without even knowing anything about the war. As your teacher, it is my obligation to give you the punishment you deserve for your insolence, and since we are in the middle of a battlefield as enemies, this will be the punishment indicated."

Waver winced at the last thing he said. He knew very well what his abominable teacher was capable of doing to command respect, and he would have no compassion even for a child like him.

"Your punishment will be the true meaning of magus killing another... I'll teach you all about the fear and pain involved in participating in a war."

Waver felt his legs give in. Sinking to his knees, he covered his ears in a vain attempt to suppress the sheer terror from consuming him. His heart raced and his vision wavered. Why? Why did he even come this far? Leaving home, abandoning his studies, to do what exactly? To get killed off in some Japanese city he'd never even heard or before?

But before Waver lost himself completely, a voice broke all the tension.

"SHUT UP!"

Kayneth was almost startled by the unexpected outburst and saw what it was about the other teenager who was staring at him with his own palpable anger and contempt in his eyes. Ichigo remembered everything Waver had told him about this bastard as a scoundrel who seemed to enjoy humiliating his students for their low status. But now that he had seen his true colors, he could not help but hate him more for how twisted he was and what he planned to do with poor Waver.

"What's your problem, asshole?" Ichigo asked contemptuously. "Weren't supposed the Masters don't to kill each other? What gives you the right to threaten this boy just because it suits you, huh?"

Waver could only stare in surprise at what his partner was doing. Was he defending him?

"Only a fucking coward would say that. And anyone who threatens for a stupid reason like you deserves to be killed." He said that last sentence with malice in his tone to make his emphasis clear.

None of those present dared to say anything as they cast their gazes on the orange haired boy who had made such an aggressive speech, and only Rider seemed fascinated and admiral by it. Waver instead just stared in disbelief and at the same time horrified by what he had just witnessed.

He had just insulted Lord El-Melloi, one of the Lords of the Clock Tower, and one the most competent mages in the world? Anyone who dared disrespect him would have a death wish at any cost, and that was what Waver really feared.

"W-what do you think you're doing, Ichigo?" Waver stuttered looking at Ichigo. "You shouldn't have provoked him like that, he is-

"I agree with the orange boy!" Now it was Rider's turns to surprise Waver. The King of Conquerors was giving a stern look towards the arrogant magus.

"Listen to me well, magus!" Rider yelled so loud for him to hear him. "I am aware of the circumstances that led my Master to participate in this, and I know that you were going to be my Master instead of the boy.

You may be right the boy is reckless and immature as a magus, but only the one brave enough to face the battlefield at my side has the right to being my Master."

Waver could stare in awe and admiration at his Servant's words and it seemed that this was working to overcome the fear he had before.

"On the other hand, a coward like you who cannot see the best in his student, is light years away from being considering worthily of me!"

And with a loud laugh from the king, Kayneth could not help but gnashed his teeth. Never in his life had he been humiliated so blatantly. First that orange haired boy insulted and threatened him so aggressively and then that mere familiar. It was a disgrace to his prestige as a noble magus.

They will pay dearly for their daring!

"Lancer... kill those 3 immediately!"

Lancer frowned a little at that. All he wanted was to break into the battle between the 2 Sabers, but he also did not want to disobey his master's orders and risk his master using a Command Seal to persuade him. But on second thought, the target his Master ordered him was also the obstacle preventing him from reaching to the 2 Sabers, and he would have no problem wanting to deal with it.

Preparing his spears, Lancer focused on Rider's team. This latters watched with concern what was going to happen, especially Kon.

"You shouldn't have pissed off that asshole..."

Ichigo ignoring him while still focusing on Lancer, and once again regretted not having his powers to deal with him.

"Hold on!" Rider suddenly yelled before anyone did anything. "It looks like we're going to have more company!"

Ichigo, Kon and Waver stared at the big red-haired king without understanding what he was referring to.

"What are you talking about?" Ichigo asked.

Rider just gave the orange haired boy a pleasant smile before fixing his gaze towards the rest of the port, apparently looking at nothing, but it was not like that.

He raised his arms up in a melodramatic way.

"Heroic Spirits summoned through the Holy Grail, gather here and now! Those too cowardly to show themselves, WILL EARN SCORN OF ISKANDAR, KING OF CONQUERORS!"

That voice that spread around the harbor like the echo, was enough to interrupt the combat of the 2 Sabers and they turned their attention to the King of Conquerors.

"Tch, what the hell is wrong with him now?" Mordred grunted in disgust at Rider's boisterous voice.

It was not a moment later that a distant laugh, separated from anyone present, caught the attention of the others and then a strange blanket of glittering golden dust appeared in the air descending on a lamppost. All those present were fixed on the mantle being the source of the voice and saw how it materialized in a manly figure perched on top of the post.

His red eyes surveyed the audience.

This is it for today, folks. I decided to shorten the chapter of my Spanish version to give me time to carry out other projects.

Ja ne!
