Charles arrived at work the next day, albeit without a phone, and they were going to be flying to Spain, and bringing the other passengers back later that night.

His eyes looked around for Molly but he couldn't find her and guessed that she wouldn't actually be on his flight and he knew that he needed to get his mind straight because a pilot with problems can be dangerous especially if something were to go wrong. He needed to be on top of his game.

So he got a cup of coffee in the break room and went over his schedule for that afternoon. Charles hasn't been to Spain in a while and was glad to be flying there again. He was being paired with an experienced FO.

He looked up when two women walked in to the room and saw that it was Molly and Maria and he has never been so relieved to see someone as he was to see Molly but that might be down to the fact he had been waiting for her anyway. Charles got up from his seat and walked over to where she was standing "Can we talk?" he asked Molly.

Molly looked at Maria "Can you hear that buzzing? it seems to be annoying me" she then looked straight at Charles before then moving away from where she was standing and over to get herself a cup of a tea.

"What you done?" Maria asked and watched as Molly walked away from the both of them before putting her blue eyes on the black haired man. "Whatever it is you've really pissed her off"

Charles wanted to explain it all to Maria but he wasn't exactly sure what Rebecca had told Molly and now he was more than a little worried that it was something bad though he's never done a bad thing in his life, well unless you count taking that ruler from school when he was younger.

"Captain, we're almost ready" Matt spoke to him.

Charles smiled "Be right there" he had to talk to Molly or at least get her to listen to what he had to say before she made up her mind on him. He walked over to where she was "I'm flying to Spain and I'll be back later, where you heading?" he asked and kept his eyes on her face.

Molly sighed softly under her breath and then looked up at him "Edinburgh and like you we're flying them there and then bringing other passengers back"

Charles nodded once and knew that they could at least talk later and he was looking forward to it. He smiled at her and then picked his stuff up, after walking away from Molly, and walked out the room and he walked through with his crew.

Maria walked over to Molly "What was that all about and why are you annoyed at him?"

Molly wasn't sure if she wanted to tell her but Maria was nosy and would find out eventually anyway "I.. rang him up and his ex picked up the phone but here's the kicker he told me that they had split up due to her cheating on him with his friend so either he lied about it or she has weaseled her way back in to his life"

"Well there could be so many different reasons, just because she answered the phone it doesn't mean anything happened between the two of them" Maria knew what was on her mind "He's not Billy, he cares about you clearly and I think you like him but you're scared that he's going to leave you at Christmas just like Billy did"

"I'm scared that anyone will leave me, not just a guy"

"Well you've got me for life, so you don't have to worry about me leaving you" Maria smiled at her.

Maria didn't know how much that meant to Molly because she didn't want to lose her friend or her work buddy or her spiritual sister.

They sat around chatting for a little bit longer and before long they were heading to their own plane.

-.-

Charles' flight was a bit longer than Molly's but he was the first one back and waited for her in the Starbucks lounge he did keep checking his watch though to see what the time was and how late she was but he has been on the other end of that lateness so he knows how frustrating it can be.

He got himself another overpriced coffee and continued to wait and then when he looked up he saw her walking towards him and he smiled softly. If Charles was being honest he didn't expect her to turn up.

"Delays at Edinburgh meant that a lot of planes are stacking up" Molly took a seat opposite him, why she was there was another thing but maybe Maria was right; she did like him.

"Do you want anything?" Charles pointed to the coffee, his second one, that he had got but he would buy her something if she wanted something.

"Just a tea please"

Charles nodded and went and got Molly a tea and when he finally got back he put the tea, that had milk in it, and the sachets of sugar in front of Molly so that she could choose how much she had.

"So what was it that you wanted to talk about?" Molly picked up one of the sugar sachets and gave it a shake before she emptied it in to her cup before picking up another one.

"About what Rebecca said, although I'm not sure what she actually did say"

Molly was confused because she only spoke to her once on the phone and that was when she answered it and said that he was in the shower. "Well she said that you were in the shower"

Charles raised an eyebrow "No she told me that she told you something"

"Yeah and that was that you were in the shower; she's still playing you even after all of this years"

Charles sighed and then tipped his head back so that he was looking at the ceiling of the Terminal they were in. He really hated Rebecca and could do so much better without her in his life and for a long time he had managed that but now it's like she's back to completely play him. "I want to be with you Molly" he admitted.

Molly had been thinking about it on the flight home and if she's being honest she wants to be with him too. "Ditto"

"Ditto?" he grinned at her for a moment.

"There is something I want to tell you first though" she hadn't been sure if she wanted to tell him but it's only fair that he knows just what happened with her and her ex boyfriend. "I had a boyfriend, a while ago now and he broke my heart; he left me at Christmas after jokingly proposing" she said and looked down at her cup.

Charles hated that guy for breaking her heart in such a cruel way. "I will never do that to you"

"You promise?"

"I promise"

Molly was taking a big gamble but she reckons it's worth it.
