In the middle of the ocean, the Destiny's Bounty flies along, through pillars of rocky spikes until it descends and lands in the ocean with a giant splash before the sails retract and rise up.
On the deck, Harumi, wearing clothes that managed to survive the fire, looks around. "Is this...where we'll be living here?" She asked as Lloyd, who was in a clean gi as well as having his grazed gunshot wound patched up, turned to her.
"Just until we know you're safe." He replied.
"Don't you have a headquarters?"
"It's too in the open." He places his hands on her arms. "The Sons of Garmadon will be looking for you. We'll need to keep moving." They soon walk away from the railing as Lloyd helped Harumi down.
Up in the bridge where the other Ninja were with Kai and Cole engaged in small talk, while Jay had his arms folded as he was watching Nya, as she, Zane and Maggie were at the console, Geoff was doing some squats, Gewuji looked at some photos nearby, and Blake, with his glasses on, was drinking some green tea. They were all in spare clean gis after getting rid of their burnt ones. Lloyd soon joined them and helped Harumi up, just as Kai, Jay, Cole, Geoff, Gewuji and Blake notice them, and stop what they were doing. "So, Harumi, looks like we're gonna be... roomies for a while." Cole said before Kai sighed at Cole for pronouncing the word which sounded the same as Harumi's nickname as she turned to the others.
"You have all been so gracious to take me in since our palace was..." Harumi sighs a little. "...taken away. And-"
"You're safe with us." Jay cuts her off.
"Uh, that assumption is not entirely justified, Jay." Zane said.
"Well, we know very little about the Sons of Garmadon's full capabilities." Blake replied, finishing his tea.
"We know nothing about them." Kai said. "Period."
"We do know they're after the three Oni Masks." Nya replied, pressing a few keys, showing The Mask of Vengeance and The Mask of Deception on the monitor.
"Unfortunately, they already have two of them." Geoff said as Lloyd and Harumi come close.
"P.I.X.A.L. scanned everywhere for the third mask, but it came up empty." Zane said.
"It's as if it...never existed." Maggie replied.
"Then we need to focus on who's giving orders." Lloyd said before Harumi noticed a pair of blue boxer briefs, laying on the console. "A group this organised must have a leader."
"Maybe someone from our past?" Gewuji asked.
"Uh, forgive me, but, is that..." Harumi picks them up. "...underwear?" She asked.
Jay embarrassingly chuckles, swipes them and hides them behind his back while backing up to the others, who found it very amusing. "We're usually more organised-" He cuts himself off before clearing his throat. "-but our leader got lost in a time stream. Uh, they're Blake's."
"They're blue!" He yelled. "And I wear long johns."
Kai scoffs. "You're lucky they're not yellow." He replied.
"Oi!" Geoff yelled while Maggie immediately elbowed Kai. Harumi was unamused by the whole thing while Lloyd glared at them.
"Anyway, how well did you know those two guards that helped the Sons of Garmadon steal the second mask from the Royal Palace?" Maggie asked.
"I barely knew 'em at all." Harumi replied. "Just that they've been there since I was adopted. Only bump into them occasionally, and they were there around the time I got arrested for that petty theft crime."
"My database confirmed their identities." P.I.X.A.L. said from the monitor as images of the two guards appeared on the monitor, showing the blonde haired guard. "Timor Geminus-Crucis..." The screen then showed the other guard, who has brown hair. "...and his twin brother, Seymour. No prior convictions, but Seymour had multiple complaints filed against him, and have been Royal Guards ever since the destruction of the Great Devourer, 4 years ago."
"That won't help us much." Blake said.
"Well, what about the suspect captured at the heist in Borg Tower?" Nya asked, looking at the monitor, showing Wilhelm handcuffing the white costumed member while the other officer looked on. "I can stay behind with Harumi if you wanna press him on who he works for."
"The police have him in custody, but he has refused to talk. He is set for release today."
"Then if Johnny Law can't get him to talk... perhaps Johnny Ninja can?" Kai asked as the others awkwardly look at him.
"Uh, you guys do that." Geoff said. "We'll review the other leads we currently have."
"P.I.X.A.L., any information on that member I killed that night?" Blake asked as he got out the Codeine, opens it, gets a pill out and swallows it while closing it, and puts the bottle back just as the monitor shows the yellow costumed member's body in the middle of the street.
"Autopsy confirmed that he died as a result of a broken neck from the fall." She replied through the monitor.
"And the photographer from the other night?" Geoff asked.
"Apart from a few convictions for trespassing and invasion of privacy, there is no tattoo of the Sons of Garmadon on him."
"Aw, damn."
"He has already made bail and is trying to talk to a lawyer about suing us for violating his rights."
Geoff then scoffed. "He'll never win."
"Anyway, back to the topic in hand." Maggie said. "Maybe we can probably find more information on the dead biker if we go and visit my father down at the morgue."
"You mean where all dead bodies are stored?" Jay asked. "Count me out."
"Don't worry, Jay, they won't reanimate as zombies." Unaware to Jay, Nya holds her arms out, and starts coming up behind him like a zombie before grabbing his shoulder, causing him to shriek and turn to see his wife chuckling, along with the others.
"You're so scared of zombies, aren't you?" Geoff asked as Jay glared at them.
On the streets of Ninjago City a few minutes later, Jay, Zane, Cole, Lloyd and Gewuji walk along the path before stopping at a road to let a truck with water jugs pass by before continuing on. "Uh, I thought we were in a hurry to get to the police." Jay said as they come across a tea shop.
"A quick stop." Lloyd replied. "If the perp won't talk, maybe we can get something to loosen his lips. Besides, Geoff recommended this place since he bought Traveller's Tea from here." He soon opened the door.
"'Mistaké's Tea Shop.'" Cole said, reading the sign. "I wonder what magic tea she can brew up for us."
Inside, the shop had a display of a dragon's skeleton on the wall as well as assorted tea boxes on shelves as an elderly woman was on a ladder, maintaining the shop before climbing down the ladder as Jay, Zane, Cole, Lloyd and Gewuji came up to the counter. "Is Mistaké here?"
"Never heard of her!" The woman rudely stated before turning around before noticing her customers. The woman was the same one who was at Arcturus' trial back in the first Serpentine War. She soon became surprised at the sight of them. "Apologies, young Lloyd Garmadon. I almost didn't recognise your voice. Oh, it's so good to see you in person. I've heard many tales about you, some from dear friends of yours."
"Hello, Mistaké."
"I'm sorry to hear about Master Dragon Wu. He was a dear friend."
"Was?" Cole asked. "We haven't given up on him."
"We just have more urgent problems." Gewuji said.
"We seek-"
"The Tea of Truth!" Mistaké cuts Zane off.
"Wow. She's good."
"But be forewarned... The truth can be... dangerous."
"She's also creepy." Jay said to Cole while grabbing his arm.
"Par for the course in a mystical tea shop, Jay." Cole replied.
"I'll have a look in the back to see if I have any." Mistaké said as she turns around to head for the beaded doorway before turning back. "But don't. Touch. Anything!" She then smiled before turning back to head into the back room.
"Like I said." Jay whispered. "Cree-py."
As Mistaké then came back out, holding a jar, moving the beading aside, Lloyd notices a painting. "Mistaké, wait!" He said. "That painting..."
Mistaké was confused at first before turning to it. "Ah, yes. The Oni and the Dragon."
"Kind of like the first names of the First Spinjitzu Master's children." Gewuji said. "Dragon Wu, and... Oni Garmadon."
"Correct, young Gewuji. But Lloyd is not ready for that tale."
"Please." He said, placing his hands on the counter. "We need to know."
"It is a long tale. Do you have the time?"
"We only had time for a quick stop." Zane said.
"Gewuji, Cole and Zane, go to the police with the Tea of Truth and find out who's giving the orders." Lloyd replied, turning to them before handing the tea jar to his ex-girlfriend. "Jay and I will stay here to learn more."
Zane, Cole and Gewuji soon left while Lloyd went around the counter as Jay watched the others leave. "Come, my childs." Mistaké said as she pulled back the beading before Jay joined Lloyd. "To know the tale, you must drink the tea." Lloyd goes into the back room as Mistaké went with him while Jay looked at the entrance again, almost wishing he would've gone with the others, as he went in.
