Waking up early again, I silently move through my apartment. After last night's impromptu party, everyone ended up raiding my closet for extra pillows and blankets. I look out into my living room to see Zeke and Shauna and Lynn and all sleeping on the couch. In the center of my living room looks like one big slumber party. Christina, Will, Marlene, Uriah, Lauren and Four are all sleeping side by side each other. I laugh at the scene because it's almost comical how they are all snuggled up next to each other. I look back to the bedroom, and I can see movement from my bed, so I make my way back there.

Feeling rather shy with so many people here I go for easy. "Hey." I whisper as I lean back on the bed, turning so my body is facing him.

He moves his hand to come lay on my lower stomach. He just holds me there, connecting with our child. I give him the moment. I close my eyes and just am present in the moment. So many wants are in my mind, and I can almost imagine all of them coming true.

"Hello, my baby. And how is Momma doing this morning?"

Momma. I am going to be a mother soon. I let this sink in, I haven't even given myself much time to actually let it sink it. "I am feeling kinda hungry at the moment. Everyone is still sleeping, and I don't want to wake them… Even if some of them need to be getting up for work soon. I'd rather let them figure that on their own."

"Let's head down for a quick breakfast. I am sure we can sneak out and not bother anyone." He's got a wicked glint in his eyes. He likes the idea of giving them crap for showing up to work late, just like I do.

We silently gather all our items that we each need for the day and make it to my door. I take one last look around; everyone is still sleeping. I shut the door behind us and follow Eric to the cafeteria. Eric ends up piling two trays full of a variety of breakfast items and follows me to the leaders table. We eat in a companionable silence, each of us eating off each other's trays.

"I'm going to go wake up the initiates. Most of my day is going to be spent in the gyms, are you sticking around Dauntless today or do you have to go out?" I want to show him, that I genuinely care and want to build our communication with each other.

"I am working out of the office today; I do have a meeting in Erudite tomorrow though. If I have time later, I might check in on you though." He leans in and gives me a feather light kiss to the cheek and pulls away so quick that I am stunned. I wasn't expecting a kiss, but it certainly was nice. I look into his eyes and tell him "Thank you." I turn my body to face him and I wrap my arms around him. I give him an extra tight squeeze before I release him. Giving a small wave I make my way down to the initiate dorms.

I smile to myself. This is exactly where I want to be in this moment, about to wake up a bunch of kids who probably slept like shit for their first night. I grab the metal pipe, push open the door, flip on the lights and start banging the pipe on the railing. "Alright Initiates! You have twenty minutes to meet in the gym. Use your time wisely, anyone late, you get points docked." Satisfied with my announcement I make my way over to the dauntless-born dorm room and make the same announcement.

After leaving the dorms, I make the walk to the gym entrance. I am secretly looking out for Four and Lauren, they should be here before the initiates go in. Checking my watch, I see I have about ten minutes before their deadline. I hear hurried footsteps coming from one end of the tunnel and I know who it is going to be. "Hello, and Good Morning." I am smiling brightly to Four and Lauren they are looking at me like I've lost my marbles. They are breathing heavy, so I know that they ran all the way here. Taking pity on them I say, "I brought you guys some muffins, I wasn't sure what time you guys were getting up. I don't need my trainers passing out on day one from lack of nutrition."

Four comes up first, mumbles his thanks and Lauren does the same. I continue to smile while they devour their muffins. I start to hear hollering coming down the corridor and I know its show time.

I level an even look to both instructors and I let them take the lead. I walk with confidence inside the gym, taking a seat at one of the tables. I look at the group of transfers and start to make notes. From the group of eight there are five guys and three girls. Everyone looks to have a different physique; I observe Four going warmups and then he sends the initiates off to do some laps. He walks over to me and bumps his shoulder into mine.

"Morning Four!" I know I am being cheeky, but I can't help it, seeing everyone asleep this morning was awesome.

"Don't play smart with me, what did you think you were going to accomplish by letting us all sleep in?" He is eyeing me with uncertainty.

I make a noncommittal noise in my throat then speak up, "Oh, you know I was just waiting to see if you guys were going to be late to training on day one or not. You know I have to write something down in my notes." I give him a smile, to show I don't mean any harm by my small prank. He just shakes his head and walks back to the middle of the room. Four has been training transfers for a few years now and he definitely knows what he's doing when it comes to the training. I slip out without saying anything and make my way to the dauntless-borns gym.

I take a moment and let this moment sink in. These kids are raised Dauntless, they know what it takes to make it. They have seen it every day of their lives before the choosing ceremony. My hand lowers to rest on my belly and I envision how my own child will be raised here. I want to teach them everything and hold nothing back. So many things are swirling through my head I don't even realize one of the initiates come over to speak with me.

"Hey Six, how are we looking for day one?" says Luke.

My smile is so huge, and I am beaming with pride. "You guys keep up the work and everyone is going to have a place within Dauntless." I don't want to show favorites, but I do have high hopes for all of them in this room. He takes the hint and heads back to his punching bag. I keep walking around the room, taking notes on whose giving it their all today and who's not. I meet up with Lauren when I have made it around the room.

"Hey Lauren, how is day one going? Anything that I missed when I was in the other room?" I really want to know it all. While we strive for competition, we don't want to have anyone singling out others. Teamwork, that's our focus.

"These kids are bread for this stuff. Everyone is physically fit to pass stage one. I think what we're going to focus on is team building exercises."

This was one of my ideas and I am thrilled to see it being set in motion. "I will look for an email from you later to go over how will it went." I don't bring anything else up, there is no need to right now. I have my suspicions that there might be a thing going on between her and Four. While I am happy for both of them, I will wait for them to share the news on their terms. Satisfied with my observations I head up to my office. I truly am feeling better this morning. I greet Ash as I pass my office door and make it further down the hall to Erics office. He sees me come in but doesn't say anything because he's on the phone. By the tone he is using, I can either assume its Marcus or Jeanine.

"Listen, I have to go. I will follow up with you via email." And he hangs up without waiting for a response. He strides over to where I am hovering in the doorway and he pulls me into him for a hug. "Hello, Beautiful." He whispers in my ear. I stay silent and just hug him a little bit longer.

"Everything okay with that phone call?" I want to show him I am in 'my' leader mode, focused on Dauntless.

"That was Marcus, bitching about patrols in the factionless sector."

Just hearing his name grates me. "I don't know how he has kept his leadership status for so long." Dauntless Leadership knows the truth of what he did to his son, but without Fours cooperation we can't send him on trial in Candor. I am sure Eric can see the hatred that's spread across my face when it comes to that man. "You know as well as I do that my father could easily take over Marcus's 'duties' and the faction would never experience any blimp. I don't even if Marcus does anything other than hear the sound of his own voice."

Eric doesn't say anything right away, but I can tell that he is definitely thinking of something. "There are other factions that have expressed a change to our system. I am just not sure change will be welcomed by all the factions."

I let this sink in for a minute before I respond. "I think if each of the five factions had an equal say in how the government was run than we would have a better democracy." I try to as levelheaded as possible. I know that being in the Leadership role I want to create a better life for all of Dauntless. My hopes also include that Divergent's don't have to live in fear.

Feeling bold, I push off from the doorway and make my way towards Eric. He watches my every move and when I walk around his desk, he pushes his chair back. I climb up into his lap and I place my legs on each side of him, pinning him to his chair. His eyes are so huge, he was not expecting this much boldness from me and I am just getting started. I take his face in my hands and I bring it closer to my face. I close my eyes and I give over to simply kissing him. He finally realizes what my motives are, and he takes his arms and wraps them around my body. I hum into the kiss. Enjoying the simplicity of just expressing myself to him. I pull away and rest my forehead to his. I let him be the first one to speak.

"Well, good morning to you too."

I chuckle because I can tell by the tone of his voice that he is being cheeky. "I did have a great morning, thanks for asking. My morning observations are done, and I was headed up here to work on paperwork and I wanted to see you before I become engrossed in all of that." I take a breath and ask him, "Eric, would you like to go with me to an ultrasound appointment… to see our baby?" I'm giving him the choice; I want to hear the words.

"Tris, look into my eyes." I didn't even realize I looked away. "I want everything with you. I want to be a part of every milestone in this pregnancy. I want to learn how your body is changing to grow our child. I want to see you hold your belly with pride and share the news of it being ours. I want to be there when they are born. I. Want. It. ALL. And I even want to marry you someday when the time is right."

That is just so much to process all I can do it nod my head. Don't get me wrong here, I want him to be in this one hundred percent, but I need the time. Doing things together.

"How about I call down to Marlene and see if she can get us in this evening?"

Oh wow, he is being serious.

"That works with me. I'll let you get back to your work, I'm going to head to my office." I walk back to my office slowly. I can see Ash bouncing in her chair at the receptionist desk. Her eyes are trailing me with every step I take. I tilt my head and point towards my door. Making my way to my chair I wait.

"SIX?! When did you and Eric happen?! Seriously, don't hold out on me, I have been here every day since you started." She can be just as bad as Christina when it comes to wanting all the gossip.
