"Sooo?" Asked Jack as the real estate agent left them alone in the kitchen of a gorgeous Victorian house, they had been looking at houses for the past two months, since they decided to adopt a baby and Ianto suggested buying a house together. So far the houses they looked at were not perfect, there was all ways something wrong by Ianto's standards,but this one Jack though it was the one "what do you think?"
"I love it" Ianto said
"But..." Jack said.
"No buts" Ianto said calmly
"You always have a complaint" Jack pointed out.
"I genuinely do love it" said Ianto a bit defensive " it's beautiful, it's in our price range, it's close to Maya's school and my office is a bit far from yours but you'll manage, I think we should buy it, unless you don't love it too"
"I think it's perfect" Jack said "I think this is our home, I want to raise the kids here, I can perfectly imagine us cooking in this kitchen, arguing about how I left that door open then going upstairs to make up"
"So? We are buying this house" ask Ianto a bit nervously
"We are buying this house" stated Jack kissing him.

The next few months they spent lots of time and money painting, retailing, knocking down walls until they had the perfect house.
Finally they moved in and were planing a house worming dinner party, were mostly fiends from UNIT attended, Gwen and Rhys got the complete tour via FaceTime. Ianto cooked for everyone.
Jack was chatting to one of his teammates, who was a really good cook and actually studied to be a chef before turning to alien hunting as a full time job,asking him for some advice. Ianto was chatting to Martha and Micky about work and kids and stuff, all in all it was a good evening."
