Sai didn't now how to react to the situation. Years of being in the ROOT had wiped away all sorts of emotion... literally. A mission he could do from D rank to S rank, no problem without fear. Yet he couldn't fathom the emotions he felt for Miss Beautiful. So his only hope was that the orb would give him answers. Hence he was glad when the orb landed in front of him. He channeled his chakra causing it to glow black before going to the ceiling.

Sai was seen walking around a meadow. Well it was supposed to be a meadow but right now it looked bleak and dark with dark was approaching. Several rocks stood out of the field but Sai bypassed all off them.

"It's the cemetery..." Sakura spoke up.

Suddenly the room was quiet as they watched Sai continue his journey.

He walked on for a few minutes before he reached two tombstones. He bent down and smiled slightly at the sight of flowers. He payed his respects to them before tracing their names.

The room became cold especially to Ino when she noticed the names.

Shin. Inoichi Yamanaka.

"Daddy..."

"Hey there Shin, it's been long. Beautiful suggested we lay your memorial here so it would be easy to remember her. I wish you were here, you would have loved her company. But she's the reason I'm here actually."

He turned his gaze to the other tombstone and gulped.

"Mr Yamanaka, sir um... I'm not really sure how to do this. Beautiful has been helping me with my expressions but I still have trouble so please forgive me for anything I say which might offend you."

"Let me introduce myself. My name is Sai and I'm formerly of the ROOT created by Danzo. That's some bad history right there. Um, I have however atoned for my mistakes and I am now a member of Team 7 along with captain Yamato not forgetting a ANBU shinobi of Konoha's ranks.

"I-I-I-I am... I-I-I..."

"Spit it out boy. Inoichi grumbled in irritation.

As if he had heard something he quickly spluttered out what he wanted to say."I came to ask you both for your blessings."

The whole theater was quiet and the Yamanaka family could only mumble.

"What?"

"I know you might disapprove about my past and I don't judge you however your daughter has become very important to me and quite honestly speaking she is the best person who can tolerate my social awkwardness. I have read that it is required for men to ask for blessings from the father in the events of marriage and since you had passed away during the war, I'm hoping that this meets up to the expectations."

There was a slight drizzle but Sai didn't mind as he kept on talking.

"I love Ino very much and I know she reciprocates but I know she loved you far more than she has loved me as far as I know. And I only want to make her happy so it's important that I do this? At least that's what I think. As I said I'm not really good with this sort of emotions." He chuckled humorlessly.

"I know you're not here and I do intend on proposing to her regardless but my mind would be at ease knowing at least that I have your support. Both of your support."

Thunder rumbled in the sky and Sai who had his eyes closed suddenly snapped open when he noticed the sudden dryness. He looked up to see the object of his affection staring at him with tears threatening to fall. He quickly got up.

"Miss Beautiful?" She passed by him and put a new bouquet on each grave before turning to him.

"You really mean it?"

Sai looked at her perplexed and she proceeded to elaborate.

"You came to ask for my father's blessings."

A faint blush dusted his cheeks as he looked away.

"Why wouldn't I?"

Ino's eyes trembled slightly and dropping the umbrella she hugged him and his blush came full force.

"Oh Sai..."

He hugged her back slightly. He then noticed something at the corner of his eyes and they widened.

As did everyone's in the room. The ghost forms of Inoichi and Shin stood above their grave.

"I'm not the only one seeing this right." Tenten asked turning her head to see everyone's expression. Neji shook his head softy.

Shin gave a closed eye smile but he was more concentrated on Inoichi the father of the love of his life.He looked at him sternly before giving off a rare smile and nodding off. Sai blinked and they were gone. He hugged Ino tighter. It was raining but none of them felt cold and to Sai he felt that his job was done.

'Thank you...'

The projection cut off from there.

Sai sat still as he couldn't fathom what the heck just happened. The same with the Yamanaka family.

"That was intense, ttebane."

Everyone nodded in agreement.

Sai turned to look at Ino whose head was down, her bangs making it impossible to see her face.

"Miss Beautiful?"

When he received no response, he sighed slowly.

"Miss Beautiful I-"

He was interrupted when Ino tackled him into a hug. His arm were suspended in the air until he heard the quiet sobs, which by then had quickly encircled her.

"Ino?!"

Ino cried into his chest. No one not even Sakura had done something so thoughtful and meaningful for her before. It was easily the sweetest thing ever. And the fact that Sai had done brought a new set of tears. sure part of why she was crying was because her dad died but also in happiness because of the man who made it worthwhile.

She pulled back for a bit, just enough to whisper into his ear.

"Thank you."

She kissed his cheek and pulled back leaving him in a blushing mess. The two's head snapped up when a hand was placed on their shoulders.

"You both have my blessings. Though this time let's hope I'm alive to give them out properly."

"You will be." His wife chimed in.

Sai looked at the trio and couldn't help the smile that broke off his face. Unlike the others this one was genuine.
