(Daniels's POV)
I saw Grant walking back to camp from the forest so I walked over next to him and asked "So was Psi's intel correct, was the symbol there?" which caused Grant to let out a sigh.
"Yes the symbol was there. Luckily the spell worked but that could only mean the beast has already picked up the scent. I was hoping we would never see it again." Grant said as we walked towards the amphitheater. "I am glad Thanatos informed us of the beast's return from Greece, for I thought we buried it long ago."
"Well it doesn't help that it's supposed to be coming apparently in a few days if not sooner according to Apollo but luckily we are actually going to hear what the prophecy holds rather than just being told it is in motion. I wish Lord Chaos would have given us more detail." I said, earning a nod of agreement from Grant as we entered the amphitheater and stood off to the side as it began to fill up with campers coming from dinner and capture the flag. Shortly after they began to sing their songs the others teleported in silently before joining Grant and I off to the side where they could not immediately be seen. After the campers finished their song the current Oracle's eyes began to glow and mist appeared from her mouth as the spirit of Delphi took over her body.
"The Warriors of Athens have returned, to ensure the world still turns. To prevent Order from entering the gates, they must ensure love's fate. For the safety of mankind, the moon must control the tide. For victory to be shown, the son must take the throne." The eerie voice said before returning to its host who fell backwards to be caught by campers near her as they lead her to a seat. Chiron stepped forward to try and settle the campers down which some of them were asking if Rachel was alright. "Huh so that's her name" I thought to myself as I watched Riley move in front of us preparing to give out orders.
"Eta go grab Reyna and head back to the temple. Omega go grab Jackson and Thaila, I must go talk to Zeus about calling a meeting. The rest of you stay here until I call for a war council within our temple." Riley said as he and Sean teleported away in a black and silver helix.
I went over to where Percy and Thaila were sitting and gestured to them to follow me. Once we left the amphitheater I summoned a green helix to teleport us to our temple. Jackson and Grace looked at me confusingly as Sean teleported in with Reyna. Riley and the others teleported in with Chiron and Dionysus along with Apollo and Artemis teleporting in with them as well. Percy grew impatient and asked "Why did you just whisk us away after hearing the prophecy?"
"Because we have to have a discussion about it. I told Zeus that the prophecy was finally revealed but I felt like we needed to have a war council about it with our ambassadors and Chiron who was present. Zeus insisted that Dionysus be present and Apollo came as soon as he felt the spirit awaken and speak. Artemis was present during my talk with Zeus and insisted on coming along and there is no point in stopping her." Riley said as we all took our seats and as the four guests stood behind the chairs.
"So since good old Mr. Sun can't tell us anything about the prophecy, let's try to decipher this buddy." I said with a smirk underneath my helmet that only my comrades could see as I gestured with my head at the Sun god.
"Omega show a little respect please." Kevin told me as he tried to keep the peace.
"Wait what prophecy are you talking about?" Reyna asked.
"The warriors of Athens had returned, To ensure that the world still turns." Apollo said as he began to recite the prophecy.
I interrupted him and began to recite the next two lines "To prevent Order from entering the gates, They must ensure love's fate."
"For the safety of mankind, The moon must control the tide." Chiron said as he continued the prophecy
"For victory to be shown, The son must take the throne." Riley said as he finished off the prophecy.
"So do we have any idea what that means? I mean who exactly are the warriors of Athens? Are we talking about some demigods who happen to be in Athens?" Reyna asked with a questioning look on her face.
"I believe that line refers to us Reyna. Before we became the warriors of Chaos and the primordial council we were mortal soldiers in the army of Athens during the Peloponnesian War. Chaos saved us from the underworld and made us immortal due to our bravery in standing up to the Spartans to defend Athens." Sean said as he looked around the table as he left out the real reason for becoming immortal was the fact that Riley was the son of Chaos.
"So it seems the prophecy is making you reveal some of your past huh?" Dioynous said with a chuckle as he summoned a diet coke.
"It will appear so. Now the next lines about Order entering the gates and love's fate. What could that mean?" Riley said as he looked around the table.
"Well, the gates I'm guessing are the gates of Olympus since that seems to be the main target here. As far as love that has to do something with Aphrodite or Eros right?" Percy asked as he twirled riptide in pen form in between his fingers.
"Wow Kelp Head, that actually is not half bad. Surprised I don't see smoke coming out of your ears. Annabeth would be so proud." Thalia teased at her cousin with a smirk.
"You're just upset because you didn't say anything first Pinecone face." Percy retorted back with a smile on his face.
Riley cleared his throat causing everyone to focus back on him and get back on track. Riley stood up from his chair and walked over to a map of the United States. He turned back to face everyone and said "We could go over all night what each line means. At least we know for sure what the first lines are talking about. Us, the warriors of Chaos. We will figure out the rest in time. First thing first is we need to protect both camps. So teams of two are out there at all times warriors. Eta and Omega will go to Camp Half-Blood. Psi and Theta will protect Camp Jupiter while Sigma and I will stand by for support and healing."
Everyone nodded in agreement. Kevin and Grant teleported away with Reyna at the same time as Dioynous teleported away to somewhere. Sean and I teleported away with Percy, Thaila and Chiron with the last image of us seeing Justin and Riley speaking with Artemis and Apollo. Chiron escorted the two demigods to their respective cabins so the harpies would not get them. Sean began to patrol around the Cabins as I took up position on top of the Big house drifting off into thought about the prophecy and wondering what Riley was saying to the two gods.
(Riley's POV)
"So any news from creation himself or no?"Apollo asked me as the room transformed back into a library instead of a war room.
"No, but I'm sure if he has anything to say Lord Chaos will tell us." Justin said responding to the question.
Apollo seemed satisfied with that answer and teleported away. I gave Justin a look with him responding in a nod as he went out to the living area shutting the door behind him. I morphed my armor back into civilian clothing as I let out a sigh and sat down in one of the reading chairs. I rubbed my eyes as I felt Artemis staring. I sighed as I said "You must be wondering about the lines that have to do with the moon and tide. Along with the son taking the throne."
"Yes I am, the only thing I can think that has to do with the tide is having something to do with the sea or something related to Poseidon. Since I know you are the heir to Chaos' throne those last two lines were pretty self explanatory." Artemis said with frustration in her voice as she stood there changing her form to appear as she would if attending a council meeting.
"Yeah those last two lines were self explanatory to me as well since I know after this war I must take my place as the new Lord of creation. And as fair as related to Poseidon that seems to be more straightforward since there's only one demigod Poseidon has spawn." I told her as I looked at the collection of books.
"So to ensure the safety of mortals I am supposed to control Perseus in some way?" Artemis asked as she turned her back to me.
"With the warning given to us from Thanatos yeah that would track." I answered as I stood up from my seat.
"What warning? And how does Thanatos know who you are?" She asked me as she turned to face me.
"I cannot say, I swore on my father that we wouldn't repeat what we were told. Thanatos only told us on my father's orders. And as far as how he knows us, who do you think brought us to my father after dying in battle when we were mortal?" I said with a chuckle.
Artemis let out a sigh of frustration at my mannerism before flashing away after not giving her a straight answer. I walked out of the library and into the living area to see Justin sitting on the couch. I sat down in the chair next to the couch and laid my head back closing my eyes. Justin was looking out at the night sky through the window doors that lead to the balcony as he asked "She tried prying for information?"
"Unfortunately yes, but I gave her what I was told to. Didn't mention the warning but did mention that Jackson is the tide she must control." I answered him while my eyes remained closed.
"Think that was the right idea?"He asked as he looked over at me.
I opened my eyes and looked at him before looking out at the sky "I only did what my father and nieces The Fates said to do. Even if we knew the whole fate of Jackson we cannot tell anyone what little we already know or we risk changing fate itself and that could be threatening to the outcome of this war."
(Author's Note): Finally another chapter posted, seems like forever ago since I posted and I want to apologize to you all for that. With what happened in the world and going back to college I lost my passion to write and that hurt me a little bit because I felt like I failed you guys especially to the people who have this story on your alerts. I am going to try to keep a consistent schedule since I found my passion for writing again. I love this story and I hope you guys do as well and please leave a review if you love it as much as I do. I will also be interacting a little bit more with these author's notes since I didn't post a lot of them beforehand but now I feel like it is important for you guys to hear from me and my thoughts.
