CHAPTER 9: MEETING THE UNWANTED

They all were now at the BBA headquarters. Mr.D was sitting on his table sweating even when the AC was on. The Bladebreakers were standing in front of his table, worrying about the old man.

"Mr.D, if you won't tell us, how will we get your point?" Tyson said matter-of-factly.

"Well, Tyson, you see… well… H-Hiro" the old man fidgeted, carefully picking his words. 'He might get mad on hearing that his brother left the team.' He thought.

"Mr.D. Hiro left the team." Tyson said calmly "I know it. It's already sorted out."

The old man heaved a sigh of relief.

"Okay. So let's get to the point." The old man began "To compete in the championships, you need to have someone as your coach."

"You're right Mr.D. What will we do about it?" Kenny asked looking worried.

"It's already sorted out. I have appointed a coach for you all." The old man replied.

"WHAT!?" the group yelled in unsion.

"You can't do this." Max protested.

"Yes Mr.D. We don't have time to settle with his new training formats." Ray said.

"Don't worry. He's a simple man living an ascetic life. He is a great blader and his training patterns are not much different than Hiro's." He said reassuringly.

"Wait a sec. What do you mean 'Man'? What's his age?" Tyson asked hoping he wasn't that old of a guy.

"Are You Done?" A voice came from where Hilary was standing.

They all looked in Hilary's direction who had no idea where the voice came from.

"Hils… I know you are a tomboy but when did your voice become so… Masculine?" Tyson asked looking at her.

"IT WASN'T ME!" Hilary retorted "I think the voice came from behind me." She said turning around and was astonished to find a blue sleeping bag lying in the corner of the room.

"What the hell is that?!" Max shouted.

"Ohh!" Mr.D exclaimed "It's Sir Taidako."

He went near the sleeping bag as the bag's zip opened to reveal a very tired and sleepy man. His hair were messed up, with a thorny shave (beard) and dark bags under his eyes.

"AAHHHHHH!" All the Bladebreakers screamed to see such a mess of a man.

"Don't worry kids. He is , your coach."

"WHAT!?" They all yelled.

"Hey there Kids." Taidako started as if bored by the formalities. "You know who I am and I know who you are. Back to the point, let's get going to the training area." He finished dryly and walked out of the room, his sleeping bag in tow while the team stood there, dumbfounded.

Hilary walked up to Tyson still not taking her eyes off the spot where Taidako was lying earlier.

She leaned closer and said, "How long do you think this man had not taken a bath?"

Tyson was staring at the same spot along with the team.

"Analyzing the fact that he left the room 3 minutes earlier and still the deadly smell is not gone, I think more than two years." Tyson answered still bewildered that this person is going to train them.

"Guys" Max began "We are going to have a hard time."

Everyone sighed.

"Okay. So how long do you think he hadn't combed his hair?" Hilary asked Tyson as the team was walking towards the dojo while Taidako had taken a taxi which was moving with the same speed as their walking.

"A year, I presume." Tyson said with his hands folded behind his head.

"How can you say so?" Hilary asked annoying him even more than the Taidako himself.

He turned around to face her, "Look at my hair." He said pointing towards his head. "I've combed them this morning and-" He was cut off by Hilary.

"And still they look no different than Taidako's. Right?" Hilary teased as anger replaced Tyson's annoyed expression.

"NO!" Tyson yelled "I was saying that if he too combed his hair then they may also look as neat as-"

"Yours?" she cut in again "I think you meant to say, 'as dirty as mine'."

Before Tyson could answer back, Ray said, "Will you two please stop? Don't act like you both are 5 again."

Both of them made a face like they were really Five years old.

On reaching the dojo, they began with the usual training they did. No, Taidako wasn't training them, Hilary was. He was stretched out on the dojo porch in his sleeping bag and snoring loudly.

"That's it for you Tys. No need to train anymore." Hilary commanded.

"What?! But I want to, I haven't had even five matches yet!" Tyson whined like a child.

"You must have thought it before hurting your hand like that." she said giving him a glare.

Max came and sat beside Tyson on the porch. "What is this creep doing?" he asked signaling towards the closed sleeping bag.

"Sleeping, I guess." He said jokingly.

"Funny" Max said as they both chuckled.

"FUNNY?!" exclaimed Kenny from behind them "You think all this is funny? I don't know how we will be able to compete in the championships. We haven't had proper training yet, we are not having funds, and now this creep is also increasing the burden on us! I can't handle this anymore!" he finished, pulling his hair, an act he always does on being in panic mode.

"Don't worry Kenny." Tyson said standing up. Ray, Kai and Hilary had also joined them by the time.

"I know that we can do this. I mean we have reached even bigger crests than this one. And we have done only because we were together, always. And the moment my team is with me, I know we can do anything, be it winning the championships or finding the 'One Piece' treasure!" He yelled and then suddenly realized that he had by mistake talked about Hilary's favorite anime.

When he looked at his teammates, he saw that all of them were looking at him as if he were insane, except Hilary of course.

"OMG! Finally you also started liking 'One Piece'! I knew you just pretended that you didn't like it." Hilary exclaimed joyfully.

"No, I don't like it!" Tyson defended himself. "I was actually giving an example! What I mean to say is that if we all are together, no one can stop us from reaching the highest point in the world." He said in a determined voice and saw that finally his friends were also sharing the same enthusiasm.

"Are You Done?" Taidako asked who had just woke up and was looking like a ghost in the time of dusk.

"AAAHHHHHHH!" All of them screamed as they were still no habitual of his suddenly waking up habit.
