[End of introduction; 1 The same planet but its a different world]

It was like if the empty field resembled their cause or purpose in the world.

Aqua had used her magic to teleport them away from Camelot, but for whatever reason, the three of them had returned to the empty field they had arrived at.

None of them wanted to be forced into roles that they didn't desire, so they simply walked in the opposite direction.

Arturia looked at the world that was or is her kingdom and found herself feeling more like a stranger in it, she could feel the ever-dwindling magic that was in the air, water, and land beneath her, and yet she didn't seem to care for it anymore.

In her old life, she had sought after something anything that would have restored the magic that existed within all of Brittain, now, however, she was content with letting it happen.

It was actually pretty funny, it's only now that she has lost her kingdom and her life that she understood that the world was\ is changing and the change con not and will not be stopped.

A heavy mist lingers around them and yet with a wave of her hand Aqua makes it vanish allowing them to see where they are going.

Arturia couldn't help but smile at this, the mists were and on occasions still are dangerous, the reason being is that somehow someway the mists act as a bridge or portal to the Elven Lands or the Land of the Fairys.

Still, the three of them walked without a destination or a purpose, finally, they found a small village, however, Aqua allowed the mist to cover them as they neared it.

The village was surrounded by a fence made of sticks that had their tips sharpened as a means of defense.

There were no guards so the three of them walked into the village unopposed, the people looked at them with suspicion, but none of them dared to say anything to them.

Perhaps it was the way they were dressed, but the people in the village gave them a wide breadth.

She could hear her armored boots make the wet dit beneath her feet give off a slight splash whenever she walked, she didn't even want to imagine the pains she would have to go thew when she had to clean her armor once again.

She looked at Kazuma and noticed that despite the mist around him, the boy's clothes were barely touched by the water in the air, however, he did shiver whenever the wind blew.

Aqua for her part continued to walk without a care in the world.

The girl suddenly stopped walking stood on one foot and opened her arms wide.

"People of this muddy village, I the great Awqua have come to grace you with my presence!" she announced as she opened her arms wide and spun around on one foot.

She lowered her leg and clapped her hands one, instantly dispersing all of the mist.

Arturia couldn't help but reach out her hand and touch the water droplets that hung in the air, the water drop was round and so clear that she could look through it and see the world around her unopposed.

The people around them trembled and some hid where ever they could while others dropped everything and ran back into their homes.

Arturia looked at the people's houses and shook her head, stone houses with hay ceilings wouldn't be of any use against anyone that wanted to do them harm, but these houses were the only safety the people knew about.

"Wha...what do you want?" an old woman asked aqua however her voice shook with fear.

Aqua smiled at the old woman and gave a step forward.

"I the great Aqua want to perform for the people here, al that we ask is for some food and water and if possible a place to stay" aqua answered the old woman who just gave her a pained expression.

"We have none of that, we are simple folk, and whatever we have if running out" the old woman answered Aqua.

This didn't make any sense, this was the height of the season of harvest so every village should have more than enough. Arturia thought to herself as she listened to the old woman's words

her body moved on its own and she walked up to the old woman.

"there should be more than enough to go around, the harvesting season has just started and won't end anytime soon" Arturia answered the old woman.

The old woman just lowered her head.

"It was the elves, they stole the grains from the fields, our grapevines are empty and the animals have all been driven away by them" the old woman answered Arturia

"Aqua" Kazuma said and again Aqua clapped her hands completely dispersing the mist.

Arturia couldn't help but feel her blood boil, villages are kept near the fields they keep, but the land around this one was dead, nothing was growing, the fields were empty and the sound that should exist didn't.

"When did it start?" Arturia asked the old woman

"I don't know, it started small at first deer would go missing when it was being hunted, food would vanish from peoples tables and the dogs would chase after things people couldn't see" The old woman answered Arturia

'I'll make a deal with you, we are adventurers, how about we go look into all of this and try to stop it."

"If we can get your food back then you can pay us back with a hot meal, if we can't then you don't owe us anything," Kazuma said to the old woman who just nodded in agreement.

"Where did al of start?" Arturia aksed the old woman who pointed at a tree that wasn't too far from the village.

"No one goes there anymore, we can see the tree but every time anyone gets closer to it, things start to go bad for them. It's as if the tree has been cursed" the old woman explained.

"Waite if the tree is right there, then why didn't you just leave?" .Kazuma asked the old woman

"Where would we go?" the old woman answered Kazuma

"Let's go" Arturia said to her two companions, they walked pout of the village and headed straight to the tree.

Nothing strange happened until they were bout fifteen steps away from the tree, in the fifteen steps the mist covered the world around them, but Aqua made it vanish without any effort.

On the tenth step, the wold last all sound and the light vanished, Kazuma summoned a ball of light and used it to guide them towards the tree, on the fifth step they could hear the screams of women and children.

Finally, on the last step, the world changed long gone were the mists and the green fields Arturia had become so used to seeing, instead the world was now in ruins, the buildings around them were broken and the stench of rot, ash, and decay lingered.
