Summary:
One-shot, one kill. These words are associated with trained snipers all over the world.
In reality, I am one of them and the training I had since childhood made me who I am as a sniper when I first tried to shoot a safe gun designed for target shooting for people all ages at the age of 6.
The interesting game, Infinite Dendrogram? I am one too there, they don't even know my face because of that mask I wore.
Unlike the 'inferior' quality snipers in that game who failed to take down a moving target when I observed them with my scope at that time, I showed them, including the Infinite Dendrogram community, what a real one with real-life training, in the words of gamers, a pro, can do.
Seriously though, at one time in my Infinite Dendrogram life around the time I started playing, there's this group who asked me such a question of why I am able to grasp it and what's the secret.
I teasingly gave them a reply: "Family tradition dating back to the American Revolutionary War, all thanks to my ancestor who recreated and kept the written accounts that'll later become known as sniping today. Now, now, everything's classified if you ask what kind of training I've been through including real life."

A/N: Ah, I should have checked the previous chapter's year typo at "year indication". It's not a big year time skip. Sorry for the inconvenience. If you fellas checked the info I put in the fanfic's glossary at ScribbleHub, then we'll know that the MC is the same age as Ray Starling.
In this fanfic, anticipate another day of a slice of life content such as shooting contests, typical "normal life", school life, airsoft related content, and much more.
The Infinite Dendrogram action will come out very soon once we reach there. I request to hold on to that.
Note to remember: Besides, this anime fanfic is also available in Web Novel, Wattpad, Scribblehub, Ao3, and Foxteller.
Volume 1 - Childhood
Stopping First In Japan Before Family Reunion At The Philippines - A Nice First Day Reception Pt.2
"This is the same restaurant that Lonely Sky Crown recommended in his interview, Angela-oba?" I asked Angela-oba, who was Mom's younger sister. Unlike Mom's 'unique height' and 'appearance', she's normal and according to Mom, they're always mistaken for an 'elder sister' by people with Mom being the 'younger sister' much to their amusement.
"Yes, Caesar." Aunt Angela happily replied as she ruffled my hair. "Before you came with your mother and father, we go here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food and facilities in [White Shogun's Castle] are worth it. I am with confidence your first time here will be heavenly including your first target shooting using airsoft guns besides the L96 variant you left in Britain."
"I can't wait for that moment then, Tita Angela." Knowing Aunt Angela's positive reputation for good finds, I smiled at her a bit as we entered the restaurant establishment with my parents following behind us with my cousin, Daisuke, staying near Kyousuke-oji.
Once we enter the restaurant establishment, we were greeted by a restaurant receptionist.
"Welcome to White Shogun's Castle. How can I help you?" asked the receptionist.
"A table for 6 people and a one-room type for 4 airsoft target shooting rental. please." replied Aunt Angela.
"Right this way, please."
After what felt like seconds of walking, we took our sits with my cousin on my left, and the adults except for Dad who was on my right, in front.
"Thank you for picking White Shogun's Castle. Your attendant for your assigned table is Sumire Hyoudou. While waiting, please have a look at our menu."
Reaching the food menu and opening it, I noticed that it was written in Nihon on top and English sort of translation, below it. If not for my studies at AISC and practicing it with my parents, I wouldn't be able to understand Japanese.
'Beef ramen or gyūdon?' I thought while reading the description of the listed food items.
"Thank you for waiting, my name is Sumire Hyoudou, your server for today. The desert of the day is Mango Samurai crepe."
'Crepe, huh? It's not like I like and dislike sweet foods.' I thought upon hearing the desert of the day and a picture of the said crepe presented to us through a holographic model projection.
"Hyoudou-san, is the mango fresh?" Dad asked.
"It is, sir. Freshly delivered from the Philippines."
"Philippines? We'll be having a family reunion there." said Aunt Angela. "Anyway, with five orders of Mango Samurai crepe, we'll be having..."
After we're done eating, we went to the assigned shooting room escorted by one of the restaurant personnel.
"This is your assigned room. Enjoy your shooting and have fun there." as the assigned escort said that, he opened the door for us.
"Wow." Being the first to see the room, I could not help but be impressed at the room layout. It has the range booth similar to the one from Happy Musang added with a resting couch and table where a phone for calling the reception laying there.
'There goes the rented airsoft guns resting on the table. Which one to shoot first?' While I am thinking what airsoft gun to shoot, I heard a voice straight out from the receptionist as he politely requested Dad.
"E-excuse me, sir, if you don't mind... is it okay to take a selfie with you and an autograph?"
My father, Neil MacMillan, was a VidWorld content creator who uploaded airsoft related videos, air gun shooting at mostly Ashton, 'real steel' shooting, etc. He was known to have played with Uncle Nicco, Dad's friend from playing airsoft who was an ex-infantryman, and plenty of others, that made him a sort of public figure I think.
Shinzo Katsuragi, the assigned personnel to escort us, was one of them. We noticed that from others in charge of airsoft gun rental in this same restaurant.
"Sure." replied Dad.
After they're done, Shinzo thanked Dad with a smile and left.
'I'm sure he can't wait to tell others about it.' Understanding the possible circumstances because of Dad's uploaded videos in the past, I turned my sights to Dad who was now holding an airsoft variant of 1911.
'One of the classics and Granduncle Ferdi's one of the favorite pistols.' I thought while remaining silent at the memory of the day I held a real steel 1911 and other pistols during my 'other lessons' under the tutelage of Grandfather Noah.
"Alright, Caesar, we know we've been through with other pistols and rifles including the standard kit of various military units." Dad then swapped the classic 1911 with FN FAL. "This real-life version of rifle here, alongside the EM-2, were fine rifles but politics happened during those days. Such a pity but at least we did 'things' to maximize its potential with success."
"Dad," Hearing a history lesson, I asked him for permission as I looked at the unloaded laying 'firearms' on the table. "Am I free to use one of them?"
Dad smiled. "Of course, Caesar. Pick one what you like."
On the table, there's a FN Scar 17, an AK-107, a 1911, and a Glock 17.
'I almost became an AK guy. But Granduncle Ferdi and Grandfather Noah always told me it's best of the worlds to get familiarized with every single thing. Yes, don't be like those blind fans alright.' Having decided to go with AK-107, I picked up the AK with my left hand and took the AK mag with my right hand, earning a reaction from Mom.
"AK?" commented Mom with her grin that tells me of her joking again. "Caesar, I never imagined you became an AK guy because of your training including 'ours'. What about your future dream and the standard kit there? What would others say a British AK guy in the making under the guise of my cute son? I know... they'll say cute."
"Mom! Please spare me!"
The adults laughed.
It's not like I'm an AK guy who says "AK is life!" I mean who at my age would think AK is life?
(Somewhere in Japan)
A brown-haired girl with matching eyes was talking to her three first cousins who showed her a picture of a smiling black-haired girl with violet eyes and a gray-haired boy standing beside the same girl holding an airsoft version of FB Beryl, a 'not AK and an AK at the same time' gun from Poland.
The girl's expression was normal. But if you're in front of her, it reeked excitement because of the picture of the Polish ' not AK and an AK at the same time' rifle.
"Oh, this must be the FB Beryl that Alice told me about! I am so jealous especially her friend getting his hands on it! Don't care if it's airsoft but I want to hold one!"
One of her first cousins, the white-haired twin sister with sky blue eyes who was on the right side of her cousin who got a matching hair color and eye color unlike her older twin sister, smiled at the brown-haired girl. "Yes, Irina. Your visit today at our house is timely I think. I was honestly surprised Alice didn't know you are here in Japan."
The older black-haired twin sister added, "In fact, he'll be visiting us 4 days from now as our household's guests. You are welcome to come here as always."
Hearing that, Irina looked happy as she said to the black-haired twin, "Really Shizu-chan?"
"Yes, we are family for starters and family is family." Shizuku replied as she looked at her older white-haired cousin who nodded happily.
"Great!" happily exclaimed the Japanese-Russian. "Once he gets here, I'll tell him more about AK- ACHOO!"
"Irina-chan, are you alright?" asked her older white-haired relative with concern present.
"I'm fine, Arin-nee."
Shaking my head at those thoughts, I loaded the mag on the airsoft gun then operated the charging handle as I switched into a standby position while looking at the targets hiding beneath the machine.
That target was supposed to 'lit out' once turned on by console. The measurement was a 3x3, a total of 9 targets.
"Caesar, you ready?" asked Dad with shot timer in hand and console.
"Yes, Dad," I replied.
BEEP!
Reacting quickly into a shooting position after seconds, a target sudden, positioned row 1 column 3, popped up in my sights, just in time for me to 'mark' it since the lighted target was illuminated.
BANG! BANG! BANG! As the three bullets hit the target, like the other sessions I had back home, I became more focused and alert as I saw another target lit up at row 2 column 2, making me react to it.
BANG! BANG! BANG! Like what happened to the first target, three bullets landed on the target without me not giving a care of the picture taken by Mom and Tita Angela who were at the side that had glass protection against airsoft BBs which basically screamed "you can take pictures of your friends and companies shooting without getting hit and injured by an airsoft gun 'bullet'"
BANG! BANG! BANG!
BANG! BANG! BANG!
BANG! BANG! BANG!
BANG! BANG! BANG!
BANG! BANG! BANG!
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Long story short, it's a repeat of my first day using a training gun but with an airsoft gun this time. I swapped like from AK to Scar and everything for me to shoot with everything I got.
It may sound torture and demeaning to do that to a 6 year old child-like me. But that's the way things for our clan, be it in the 'dark' or not because it's in our tradition. What matters was at the end of the day, I had fun alongside my family here in Japan.
