Chapter 20: I am Danny Phantom, right? Part 1
Previously
"You ready, Danny?..." Star asked..
"No..." Danny said honestly before he got serious..."But someone's got to go..."He declared.
Star sent him a concern but accepting look and nodded. Still, she felt proud of him.
"That's my Danny Boo.."She thought before sighing.
"Time to go to work..."The blonde said.
Danny heard this and nodded. He saw the chaos and knew what he had to do.
"Well, here goes everything..."The ghost said as he took off into the sky, determined to do his role as a hero.
Oh boy.
Present Time
Valerie couldn't believe what she saw on the news, she groaned as she practically ran out of her apartment.
School had been a pain, what with Star and Danny getting into a fight, Danny losing his memory and Colette being a total creep but that was that was just the tip of the iceberg compared to what is happening now.
Now, ghosts are on the loose, causing all sorts of trouble and mayhem. Plus, there is no Phantom in sight. For once, she didn't see that as a good thing.
"Never thought I'd miss seeing Phantom flying around..."Valerie thought, looking for her next target.
She knew she'd get in trouble had the Nasty Burger not been shut down from the ghost attacks.
There were dozens, maybe even hundreds of ghosts all over town, looting and scaring the citizens. It was almost like Pariah Dark's invasion all over again.
Well, Valerie wasn't going to just sit by and let these ghosts cause trouble. Thankfully, her dad was safe at work right now and she managed to sneak away from work...mostly since some meat obsessed lunch lady ghost did a visit to the Nasty Burger.
"MEAT IS SACRED! MEAT IS POWER!..."The giant meat ghost yelled, scaring away customers and employees alike.
Valerie, now in her hunting gear, just sent her a glare.
"You're going down, Meathead!..."Val yelled as she sent blasts to the large meat ghost, who roared at her.
"You can't handle to raw power of beef!..."Lunch Lady cried out throwing a fist at the huntress.
Valerie dodged the attacks easily with her board. She was more annoyed then anything by this ghost.
"MEAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT OF THE FOOD GROUPS!..."The yelled widely, before stopping the attack for a brief moment.
"Cookie?..." The ghost said in a sweet tone.
"No, thanks. I'm on a diet..." Valerie replied.
The lunch lady then got angry again.
"THEN FEAST ON MY FIRST COURSE OF DOOM!..."She roared as she attacked, firing meatballs.
Valerie dodged these attacks and aimed, firing back at the ghostly meat monster. The Lunch Lady ghost wanted revenge by summoning a cartoonishly large wave of the D-grade beef at Valerie.
"Too bad for her, I already ate..."Val thought as she managed to jet out before she got engulfed by the meat-wave.
"Okay, I have had enough!..."She thought, mad.
Flying up, she grinned as she threw an ecto-grenade at the meat monstrosity. Within seconds, the body exploded as the ghost herself knocked out. She then sent the ghost back to the ghost zone with her portal projector
Once the ghost was gone, Valerie smirked as she landed.
"Finally..."Valerie panted and signed.
That was the fifth ghost she beat since school ended and she barely had any time to stop and rest. Even with her armor, she was almost getting tired now. She looked around before noticing the window. She then saw more and more ghosts screaming and destroying the town.
She frowned.
"This is just gonna be one of those days..."Valerie sighed as she left the building.
How right she was as the girl blasted and punched every ghost she could get her hands on.
"For once in my life, I need Danny Phantom here. I'm getting exhausted..."She thought as she wondered where he is right now.
Meanwhile
Star, Sam, Jazz, and Tucker soon brought Danny to the town square, where most of the ghosts were having fun. Most of the citizens have fled due to all the ghosts causing trouble and destruction. This left the spectral beings to their own devices, much to their enjoyment.
This also meant fewer eyes watching them so close to Danny Phantom. Star was at least in her jumpsuit and had the hood up. The others were covering up, mostly wearing goggles that they found in the lab that covered most of their faces. Even so, most of the people fled here, being too focused on all the ghosts causing trouble.
"Oh man..."Jazz said, gripping her weapon tighter.
"It's like a ghost convention..."Tucker said with some fear evident in his voice.
"Then we're the security..."Star added.
She was going to fuel her anger knocking the ectoplasm out the ghosts. Needless to say, the battle would be cathartic. She needed something to take out her misplaced aggression for what happened today.
The others did the same as they prepped their weapons, they were all armed and set before turning to the ghostly superhero.
"Ready, Danny?..." Sam asked.
Before Danny could answer, a ghostly bat flew in front of them and screeched. Danny gasped but Tucker put a hand on his shoulder to calm him down before he got the shot.
"Like this, dude..."Tucker said, thinking one more demonstration could work before Danny had to deal with a serious threat.
The others agreed with him and did just that. While they dealt with the ghost bat, Danny just watched and felt like he needed to get involved.
"What should I do?..."The ghost boy thought.
Soon, a little boy with brown hair and purple eyes, who also had a DP T-shirt on, noticed Danny and approached him, an autograph book in his hand.
"Danny Phantom..."The little boy said.
"Hi...Do I know you?..."Danny asked, still unsure.
"You came to my house for Christmas that one time...Plus, I'm your biggest fan..."The little boy said.
"Oh...well, that's nice to know..."Danny replied with a smile.
He didn't exactly remember much about that Christmas, other than the fact that people kept talking in rhyme, which he couldn't stand for some reason and something about him regretting something he did, as well as something about an orange. That would be something he'd ask Jazz about later.
Still...
"I have fans, huh. Cool!..."He thought as the little boy looked at him starry-eyed.
"Can I have your autograph? To Billy?..."The kid asked, excited.
Danny smiled and grabbed the book. While ghosts were amok, his heart wouldn't let him say no to the child.
"Sure..."He said as he took the book... "Billy, my #1 fan. Thanks for your loyalty, be respectful to your elders and don't walk into danger infested areas again. Signed, Danny Phantom..."Danny said with a smile, remembering to use his alias, not his real name since Star and the others emphasized about that.
He then handed it to the boy, who smiled widely.
"Thank you..."Billy said before running off, smiling widely.
"You're welcome..." Danny said, smiling.
The little boy ran off, looking happy. Presumably back to whatever hiding place he had, like the rest of the scared citizens.
"Danny, what are you doing?!..."Star, who was still wearing her jumpsuit, shouted.
Apparently, she and the others caught the ghost bat while Danny had been absent to see them, as he had given Billy his autograph. The ghost boy merely blinked and shrugged. He thought he was doing the right thing.
"Was I not...supposed to do that?..."He asked.
Sam, Tucker, and Jazz shook their heads. Star frowned as Danny rubbed the back of his head.
"Sorry, it's just that kid was really happy to see me. It was kind of nice..." Danny said with a smile.
Whatever Star would have retorted, she chose not to say after seeing how happy that one kid made her amnesiac boyfriend, and it was a step in the right direction.
"A lot of people are happy to see you but we gotta go..." Star told him.
"Right..."Danny nodded.
He followed them into battle. There were still plenty of ghosts out, causing mayhem. He saw one ghost stealing boxes from a nearby post office, before he could go get him, Star stopped him.
"That's just the Box Ghost, he's just a joke..."She said and the blue specter heard her.
"HEY, I HAVE FEELINGS TOO, YA KNOW!..."Box Ghost yelled from the store, only to be hit by a blast, courtesy of Sam.
"See? Barely worth the effort..."Sam said as she sucked him inside her own thermos.
"You oughta save your strength dude...You're gonna need it..."Tucker said.
"For what?..." Danny asked.
"The bigger threats. But don't worry, I know you'll do good..." Star said.
Danny was unsure but nodded.
"So, what now?..."He asked.
Tucker checked his PDA, which was linked to Ghost Watch.
"Looks like Ember just invaded three different Amity Park stores..."Tucker said as he gathered the data.
'Ember?..."Danny said, sure he heard that name before.
"Yeah, here's she is..."Tucker said as he showed footage of the last place which had a "visit" from her.
The members of Team Phantom frowned.
"Usually, she tries hypnotizing people to take over the world but according to this, she is causing trouble and stealing stuff..."Jazz explained.
"Kinda seems like every ghost right now..."Sam snarked.
"Tucker, where is she?..."Star asked.
"Looks like Ember is now at Bucky's Music Mega Store. Looks like they had a sale today and she's looting the place..."Tucker said.
"Then let's go after her..."Star said as she turned to Danny, who just stood there, staring blankly.
He noticed they were expecting him to do something, but he just stood still, looking a little lost there.
"Uh...guys...I don't exactly remember how to get there..."Danny explained.
"Just turn left up ahead and go three blocks..."Tucker explained.
"Got'cha..."Danny said as he went in that direction.
His team followed.
Elsewhere
Colette was freaking out.
No, she is terrified!
She had awoken in the nurse's office, only for the school to end early due to the town being overrun by ghosts.
Horrible, horrible ghosts.
Another reason why she has come to hate this backwater city called Amity Park.
"At least, none of them were that feline monster…" She thought, with a shudder.
She made a mental note to hire someone to maim Dash for showing her that mascot costume. She still had that overpowering fear of all things feline with stripes, something she blamed Star for.
Because of it, she was out cold all day. True, she missed most of her boring classes, but her stepmother insisted on having a high GPA if she wishes to keep her grounding minimum but that was the least of her problems, .her main problem is that Danny is has turned against her again.
This was not how she wanted her day to go.
She had a rare chance to have Danny, the only boy who resisted her, all for herself. She was furious he still rejected her, but it made her oddly more interested. Even with amnesia, he is such a challenge. It was impossible to deny the allure for her.
"Zis will be a worthy story to tell our children one day... of how I won..." She said to herself, still believing she can win in the end.
However, right now, she did not win.
Even worse, she can't find Danny and also, there were many ghosts causing all sorts of trouble, causing mischief and scaring everyone. To top it all off, they even invaded her favorite spa and boutique, so she can't go there like she usually does.
"I cannot believe this, First I lose Danny, then I pass out in the mud, my hair gets ruined and now there are ghosts everywhere!..."Colette said dramatically.
She watched around, seeing random ghosts causing trouble. Despite living her for a few months, she knew from the time she's spent in this town something was off. Collette looked at her watch as if she was expecting something or rather someone to arrive.
"Where is that oddly attractive ghostly hero, Danny Phantom? Shouldn't he be dealing with this?..."Colette said, but sounded like Danny was a waiter who was taking forever to bring her meal.
Him or his idiotic girlfriend Starlight, the other blonde fool whom she hated.
Wasn't it their job to deal with the ghosts in this backwards hovel called Amity Park?
It was the only thing mildly interesting about this city other than the object of her desires, since Paris has much more to offer than this miserable town of morons and monsters, save for Danny.
Not Phantom, Fenton.
She wanted Danny, HER Danny right now more than anything.
Still, an idea formed in her head.
"Since turning Danny against Estelle failed, maybe I could playfully flirt with the superhero just to make Danny jealous and annoy that airheaded Latina I'm stuck mingling with, as well as that stupid Starlight..." She thought
Before she could think more on that (stupid) idea, a ghostly bird flew in front of her and made a scary face.
"RAAR!..."The ghostly bird let out in a terrifying face.
"AH!..."Colette screamed as she ran away to save herself.
"Au secours!..."Colette yelled in French as she kept running to find a hiding spot, away from the awful ghosts.
"As soon as Danny is mine, we're leaving this forsaken city!..."Colette thought as she ran to hide somewhere.
Meanwhile
At Bucky's Music Mega Store
Team Phantom soon arrived the music store and saw that it was in pretty sorry shape, most likely due to ghostly reasons.
Speaking of ghosts, Jazz looked to her brother and decided that now was the time to give Danny another refresher.
"Okay Danny, now that you know who your friends are. It's time to meet your enemies..."Jazz said.
"Enemies? What enemies?..."Danny questioned.
"The one who is here… and actually worth the effort..." Sam said.
They then heard the alarm was ringing and saw their bad guy. It was Ember, who just sent an ecto-blast into the store with a grin on her face.
She had come here to take over the place but it was already trashed by another ghost before she got here, so she decided to loot it and maybe play some songs, mess around, followed by either beating up or making out with a certain amnesiac ghost boy as soon as she saw him. That last one she might do both since she's in a good mood.
Once Ember turned around, she frowned once she saw them.
"That's far enough!..."Tucker shouted as the members of Team Phantom got into fighting position.
Danny merely imitated them.
"Freeze, Ember!..."Star said, still holding a grudge against her for the Camp Skull and Crossbones incidents, as well as all her attempts on her boyfriend.
The ghostly diva merely scoffed at them.
"Oh look, the the goth wannabe, the techno geek, Ms. Know-it-all, Blondie and Mr. Forget-Me-Not..."Ember said mockingly.
The heroes glared at that.
"Oh, you are so gonna pay for saying that one to us!..."Sam said as she held the ecto-gun in her hand.
"Yeah, what she said!..."Star said.
However, Danny didn't attack yet. Star sent him a look.
"Well? Get her!..."Star said and Danny stared at her.
"Are you sure that I know her?..."Danny asked, just to be safe.
Ember smirked.
"Sure, sure. I was a Junior you asked out when you were a freshman and we dated for a while. Oh, and you owe me ten bucks..."Ember said, as she couldn't resist.
Sure, she still wanted Babypop but this was just too easy.
Before Danny could even think of getting out his wallet, Sam elbowed him.
"She's lying!..."Sam said in anger.
"She is NOT your ex-girlfriend, if that's what she's making you think!..." Star added
"Duh! Plus, She is older than that...A LOT older..."Tucker couldn't resist saying.
Star, Sam and Jazz laughed at that. The ghostly diva was not amused.
"So, I dress in a style older than you. Back off, techno geek!..."Ember said, hands glowing.
Danny then recalled why she was familiar and not for the reasons Star wanted.
"Wait...Ember Mclain? Didn't you say that she's that hot rocker ghost who either wants to date or destroy me?..."Danny questioned.
Star sent a jealous look at the way he described Ember. The musical ghoul smiled at that.
"What did you guys say to him?!..." Star glared at Sam and Tucker, both of them held their hands up and looked innocent.
"HE'S the one who called her hot!..." Sam pointed to Tucker.
"Not my fault, he wanted to know if they had this whole hero-villainess dating thing like in comics..." Tucker insisted.
Star glare at the techno geek. She did not have time for anything else and now she hears of this. It was infuriating how this day was rolling out.
"We have to deal with her... but you're not off the hook!..."She yelled at the tech geek.
As this went on, Ember motioned closer.
"So, you do remember me?..."She smirked.
"No, not really..."Danny said, stepping back.
He felt uneasy due to the look in her eye. It reminded him of Colette's, but somehow less skin crawling, though Danny didn't know how that was possible.
Ember merely smirked flirtatiously as she floated closer and leaned in. Her face was inched from Danny's.
"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you have some secret attraction to me that you deny, that's why you're still staring..." She suggested.
"I do not!" Danny insisted before looking to Star. "Do I?..."He asked and the blonde looked madder.
"NO, YOU DON'T!..." Star shouted, wanting to tear Ember's fiery hair off.
The ghostly diva merely looked amused and decided to make a move.
"Care to find out who is right or wrong?..." She said to Danny, winking.
Although he blushed, something inside told him she was wrong. Admittedly, Colette came off as worse, but Ember is still not making him trusting her.
Danny frowned.
"No way! I already had to deal with a lying girl trying to trick me today, I'm not going through that again..."Danny said, angry.
Ember sent him a sly look before chuckling.
"Oh, please Dipstick. There ain't any girl like me..."Ember bragging.
"Thank goodness for that..." Star muttered.
That got Ember to flare up, and not just in a metaphorical way but literally. As in, her hair raised a few feet upward. She did calm down a bit, but not much.
"Still..." Ember said as she inched closer, puckering her lips as she got closer to Danny.
In that split second, painful memories flashed in his head.
Memories of them fighting on a rooftop, seeing her in pirate gear, them fighting alongside each other against skeletons, a very recent one where she grabbed then kissed him, and finally, one where she kissed him forcibly while he was in human form before throwing him across his own room. Not to mention a bunch of other nasty things she did to him, whether or it was physical assault or unwanted advances.
Danny stepped back, glaring at her.
"I'm starting to remember that you weren't exactly my girlfriend..." He said.
Ember rolled her eyes, but in a more playfully dismissive way instead of being annoyed.
"Oh come on, Babypop. I bet I'm more fun than Blondie or Grumpy here..."Ember gestured to Star and Sam.
Both frowned at that.
"YOU SHUT UP!..."They both yelled.
"At least, they aren't taking advantage of my amnesia. Plus they are way nicer than you are..."Danny said, making Star smile at that.
"I don't do nice… but I'm betting this will be fun..." Ember said as she used her guitar almost like a hammer, holding onto its neck.
"Uh… what can she do, exactly?..." Danny asked his team.
"Besides be a better kisser than Blondie?..." Ember scoffed, earning a hateful look from Star.
The blonde growled at that before she took a deep breath to calm herself down and turned to her amnesiac boyfriend.
"Ember is a bad ghost who uses her music to hypnotize people and enslave them. Look, we can't explain now, we have to stop her and right now..."Star said as she pulled out her saber.
Danny nodded as his eyes glowed and made his fists glow too.
"Okay… this should definitely be fun..." Ember said.
"Question, do I hit girls?..." Danny asks.
"Only evil ones... it's the only reason Colette is still walking..." Star said.
"Just remember what we told you, you just have to weaken ghosts enough and then well suck them inside the Thermos..."Jazz told her brother.
"Sounds easy enough..."Danny said, not knowing how tough that is.
"Ooh... you think so?..." Ember asked.
"It will be with four on one. Remember, he's got us to help him out!..." Star shouted.
"Definitely..." Sam said as she readied her weapon.
The ghostly diva sent them a dirty look and wanted the extras out of the way.
"Bring it, losers!..."Ember said before sending a blast at them.
Danny, recalling his training, dodged it and sent blasts to his foe.
Ember moved her head to dodge, she laughed.
"Aw, what's the matter Babypop? Forget how to aim..."Ember mocked.
"Maybe..." Danny admitted.
Jazz, Sam and Star. facepalmed
"Don't tell the bad guy that!..." Tucker exclaimed.
Danny looked sheepish while Ember grinned.
"Oh… right…" He said, not seeing his foe making her move.
Ember flew at him, deciding bodily harm to start this. She swung her guitar down at Danny, just barely missing his head.
"Yikes! That was close!..." Danny thought, not liking the idea of being harmed and wanting to keep away from her weapon.
His instincts were still there to help him. Danny leapt to the side, throwing a blast at the ghoulish rock star. Ember used her guitar to block before punching him in the face.
"GAH!..."Danny let out.
"Danny!..."Star shouted in concern.
The ghostly diva smirked at that.
"I'm not gonna lie. I really enjoyed that..." Ember said, dusting off her fist.
Danny snarled as he threw a punch, but she caught it.
Deciding to have more fun, Ember kissed him on his left cheek, making him stutter and pull back. Ember took advantaged and charged her fist, punching him to the ground.
Two other girls who care greatly for him looked furious.
"I really enjoyed that too..." Ember said, smirking as she stomped a boot on Danny's chest.
However, she was suddenly hit from behind by a certain goth girl.
"Yeah, well I enjoyed that!..." Sam quipped.
Ember recovered and sent her a furious look. She used her guitar to send shock-waves to attack. However, Danny finished wiping his cheek clean and narrowed his eyes at the ghoul.
"Why is it that I keep finding myself being hit on by some girl who is so pretty but too many levels of wrong?!..."He yelled before jumping into battle.
Raising his hands, he created a shield that protected him and other others, as well as bouncing off and hitting Ember, sending her back.
"COOL!..." He went before looking at his hands. "How'd I do that?!..."He questioned.
Sam couldn't help but smirk at that.
"Deja vu..." She said.
This was his reaction the first time he did that same ability against Technus months ago. Almost like a rerun.
Oddly enough, despite what just happened, Ember chuckled.
"Part of me hoped he'd remember… no fun doing this to someone who can't fight back..." She said.
On the one hand, fighting or taking someone with no memory of fighting back was kind of boring. But on the other hand, when was she going to get another opportunity like this?
Ember flew at Danny, intent to pummel him with her guitar. Instantly, to her surprise, Danny caught it and swung her into the ground. Danny blinked before looking pleased with what he did.
"That was awesome!..."He said, amazed at what he just did.
Ember grunted as she got up.
"Not as awesome as this!..." She shouted before she flew to him and started swinging her guitar at him.
As if he let his body go into auto-pilot, Danny ducked away each time. Once he saw an opening, he took it.
He grabbed the guitar with his left hand as she tried swinging with one arm. That gave Danny a shot to right hook Ember, then elbow her chest, making her let go of her guitar, then swing her away, making her scream as she hit the wall of a building.
Team Phantom cheered for Danny.
"I guess my body remembers more than my head does..." He said.
Ember grunted, looking angry before smiling.
"Let's see if his body remembers this..." She said.
As Danny was too distracted with looking at his own hands and smiling, he was too late to notice Ember tackling him.
As he hit the ground, he felt Ember straddle him before she punched him in the face and laughed at him.
Star snarled as Danny fought off his attacker.
"Get off!..." He shouted as he pushed Ember off.
Danny got back up, firing blast after blast at his foe. He flew at the musical ghoul with his blasts continuing until one hit Ember, knocking her back. She got up and looked annoyed.
"You're gonna pay for that one, Babypop!..."Ember said, looking crossed.
"Sam told me not to give you money..." Danny said simply, making everyone look away
"That's not what I meant. I mean that I'm gonna kick your butt until it hurts to sit!..."She said before flying at him and punching him in the face.
Again.
However, his body once again reacted in time. Unfortunately, Ember was just as fast. Danny brought his arms up to block and Ember hit him in the stomach. She then grabbed her guitar and swung it like a baseball bat, sending Danny flying into a wall.
"DANNY!..."His friends, sister and girlfriend all shouted in concern.
Ember smirked.
"You're all mine, Babypop!..."The evil diva laughed.
Star hating to see her boyfriend getting hit by that ghoul and losing. Almost as much as she hates seeing this wanna-be rockstar hit on him.
"I gotta do something..."She thought, before she tried searching for something to use.
Meanwhile, Ember kept throwing punch after punch that Danny barely blocked in time.
"You should be more grateful I'm only half-interested in destroying you!..." She shouted.
"Yeah... that's one way to make a guy interested..." Danny snarked as he grabbed Ember's fist.
He rose a hand to her and blasted her, sending her sliding on the ground. Getting up, she saw her discarded guitar and picked it up, striking a chord and firing a blast Danny flew up to avoid.
Although tiring, Ember couldn't deny a sort of thrill she felt right now. Still, she had a city to mess with so she'll have to knock him out for now.
"It's over, Dipstick. It was fun while it lasted, but I got places to go, chaos to unleash… maybe we can do lunch when you come to?..." Ember taunted.
Danny looked to his left and smiled.
"You might wanna check your schedule..." Danny said.
"Huh?..." Ember asked before seeing what he was looking at.
"KEEP YOUR HANDS AWAY FROM HIM!..." Star shouted before firing.
Ember scowled.
"Stupid third wheel..." She said in anger but also a hint of jealousy.
Unfortunately for her, she couldn't avoid it when Star aimed the device at her and pushed the button.
"I got her!..."Star shouted as she pulled out the thermos, sucking the ghostly diva inside. Once their enemy was trapped inside, the others let out a sign in relief.
"Finally..."Sam said, glad that Ember was taken care of.
Danny, on the other hand, looked amazed.
"That was awesome..."He said, still in awe.
"What? Ember?..." She asked.
"No… I'm actually a superhero!..." He said as he grinned at his hands. "It really is like a video game but for real!..."Danny said, still excited that they actually managed to beat that ghost.
Sure, it was more painful then he expected but it was still amazing.
"Hopefully a good one people will buy..." Tucker said and was ignored.
Star smiled at her amnesiac boyfriend and felt he was almost back to normal now.
"You're doing great..."The blonde girl said.
"Thanks..."Danny replied with a blush.
It was then they noticed how winded he was. Without thinking, he leaned on Star, who blushed a bit.
"You feeling okay?..." Star asked.
Danny nodded as he leaned on Star. While he still had much to remember, the boy couldn't help appreciating the girl and gazed at her for a moment.
"It's alright. Rest a moment, a few seconds is enough to spare..."Star said.
Danny nodded.
It was then they noticed their friends staring. Some with smirks. Just some, as the other rolled her eyes away.
"Now there's something I want to forget…" Sam whispered under her breath.
"Huh?..."Danny asked.
"Nothing, let's just get rid of these ghosts before your parents show up and think you think you caused this..."Sam said.
Danny blinked at that.
"What do you mean?..."He asked.
"They don't know your secret, little brother..." Jazz explained.
"Really?..." Danny asked.
"Afraid so..." Sam answered him.
Danny blinked.
"That... somehow doesn't sound like a good thing..." He said.
"It's not..." Sam, Jazz and Star deadpanned in unison.
Danny groaned.
"Anything else I forgot that I need to remember right now?..." Danny asked.
"Not at this second, no..." Jazz said.
"Then let's go before someone else gets hurt..."Star suggested.
Danny nodded, not liking that idea of anyone getting hurt.
"Still, where are Danny and Jazz's folks?..."Tucker couldn't help but ask.
Meanwhile
Jack and Maddie were currently busy, using all the weapons in the Fenton Family Assault Vehicle to deal with all the ghosts who were still causing chaos.
"EAT FENTON BLASTER, GHOST SCUM!..."Jack shouted as he pressed buttons, firing everything he got at that ghost.
Maddie, on the other hand, was less gun ho and more front-line as she swung her own Fenton Ecto-saber.
Anything within a five foot radius was a dead zone for ghosts. Dead wasn't the proper word, but they didn't care. They just kept attacking.
Jack, though his aim not the best, was enjoying the many specters he took down. And his gun wasn't even half drained.
"Nothing better than the smell of ghosts getting blasted! Except for pie!..." Jack said.
"Not now, Jack! Besides, you're cutting down...remember?..." Maddie said.
"I know..."He whined.
He kept firing at the ghosts, managing to get a few. Though a two head ghost made a mad dash at Maddie.
"Mads! Look out! Ghosts at twelve o'clock!..." Jack called out, blasting another.
"Two brains, meet nine tails!..."Maddie said as she used the Fenton nine tails to bind the ghost and throw it at another.
"Man, that's hot!..."He said as he saw his wife suck them inside the thermos.
"Ha! Two birds, one stone!..."Maddie cried out. She was happy, and so was Jack, despite circumstances. "You know, this would make a great family bonding experience..."She added.
"I know..."Jack saidd. "The ghost are plentiful and they can't get close...It'd be perfect for practice with the kids..."He added.
"Focus Jack. We have to save Amity Park from this spectral infestation..." Maddie said.
"Yeah, we're working through dinner tonight. . It's not like we have any help..." Jack said, annoyed.
"Right... odd we have so many ghosts right now..." Maddie said.
hey soon went back to fighting the ghosts that haunted this block, before they need to go to the next block over.
Back with Team Phantom
After capturing Ember, Team Phantom went to find their next foe.
After a few more minutes, Danny's combat skills were coming back to him as they found more targets.
"Time for a refresher course!..."He shouted as he went into battle.
Already, he's getting back to using banter, so it's steady progress. All Star needed now was for him to remember who his girlfriend is, along with some other stuff like how much they mean to each other and they were good.
"Single file for buttkicking!..."Danny shouted, pressing a fist in his open palm.
It was then a ghost noticed Danny and whistles the other's attention. The collective stares of the ghosts turned into angry faces as they charged.
"Wow...they really don't want us stopping them..."Danny commented.
"Too bad..."Star said with a grin as she aimed.
Danny grinned before taking aim too.
Meanwhile, a certain ghostly fruitloop was watching via his insects.
"There he is..."He said before stopping in his tracks.
He was watching via a watch that showed a hologram and he knew just where to strike now.
"Well, I WAS going to fry that fat oaf of a father he has... but one thing I've learned in business is to never overlook an opportunity..."He said before leaving to make his move.
Oh boy.

REPLIES to my loyal and totally awesome reviewer:
