Hey everyone, Scattershot98 here. I know it's been a really long time since I've updated any of my stories, and while I'm not trying to make excuses for myself, 2020 was a DISASTER of a year. And from what's happening so far, 2021 is the sequel no one wanted. But while many of you have been waiting for the conclusion for one story or the rise and continuation of another, I unfortunately have been in a unique dilemma of writers block.

I've lost some of my will to write for certain stories while having newfound motivation for others and possibly a newer one. I'm going to have a list at the bottom to show what will be continued and what will go on hiatus for now. But before ewe get to that I do wish to wholeheartedly apologize for the lack of content throughout all of 2020 as well as most of 2019. I haven't been myself on the site at all. Any who've seen the stories I follow and such would see that I like to leave long reviews detailing my thoughts on the story and what happens each chapter. And while I've followed and favorited many new stories these past 2 years I've left nearly no reviews on any of them, and for that I feel ashamed. I always ask at the bottom of my author notes for reviews and you (the readers) general thoughts on the newer content I would put out, and I absolutely love the feeling when it actually happens. So how hypocritical is it for me to not even leave one on stories for first time writers.

Therefore I've decided to officially write both a bio on my profile for any newcomers as well as old time fans to learn more about the kind of person as an author that I wish to become on here, as well as updates on stories and announcements of any kinds regarding them. I'm also going to be slowly improving my current stories by revising older chapters from back when I only used to be able to make 2k length chapters. Some of you may have already seen this with my Attack on Titan stories Wings of a Warrior and Awakening, but I still have MUCH more work to do on improving the former as well as putting effort into the later with what I originally envisioned the story going towards. As I've stated before in previous author notes for My first story Wings, I'm about halfway with it. And I still wish to add to what I've already put into the story before I progress any further.

There is an author on Fanfiction as well as Archive Of Our Own who may just be the MOST Famous person in the fandom Fanfic wise because of her success in the story called Rogue. Her profile name is RedCoaster You can find the story in my favorites and follows, but She is actually what inspired me to even become a fanfiction writer in all honesty. I didn't come into the fandom when the series first came out, but I got really into it between the 4 year wait for Season 2. And RedCoaster's amazing story grabbed my attention once I finished what the manga for SnK/AoT had reached by that point with her imagination and creativity in detail and storytelling. Seeing that dedication and style sparked something in me, and by the time I knew it I had already written five 2k length chapters for Wings in only 2 days because I couldn't get the excitement out of my system. Back then I nearly updated every day to every 2 days at the maximum because I just felt the urge to get it out there for others to see. I hardly have anyone the chance to even read the newest addition to the story before I would update it and make it that much longer.

It's quite something to see that my first story cam out in the first half of 2017 and only 2 months later I was already starting to write a second story while also having written a sample one shot into the Dragon Maid fandom, unfortunately that one didn't quite get so popular with many flame reviews and toxic people in general just not liking it. (More on that later) And it's kinda nostalgic in a small sense that what used to be 2k length chapters for my stories would become sometimes 8k and once even 13k. And that eventually those stories would end up having 280k (Wings of a Warrior) and 72k (Awakening) respectively until I went on my absence. It's just... nice to see what kind of a person I was then compared to who I am now. I could see how I wrote with the feeling of excitement I would have when drafting a new chapter, all the things I could remember thinking up to add or even crossover with.

I'm going to be honest here, it wasn't easy to decide what stories I would be returning to first when I stopped all of them at cliffhangers for certain events story wise or even just before the ending like I did with Web of Hearts. Some stories I had hopes of making huge hits and strides in divergence from their respective Canons and making them feel like their own separate entities rather than just something I thought up when watching or reading whichever series the story is from. But many things have happened in the Anime and Manga world these past 3 years.

I mean Attack on Titan is ending This April, something I've followed since before season 2 came out.

I've waited each month for a new chapter to come out, constantly refreshing the page at midnight for any new leaks or translations, downloading many of the songs to my phone and bought all the seasons on disc and blu ray because I also have a little brother and sister that I was able to get into anime because they would see me watching it and liked it themselves. Since then, they've watched every new english dubbed episode [they (my siblings) aren't as good with subtitles as me, but I don't care how I watch anime. I'm for the series itself, not the language. But if there's a dub it's easier for them to also watch and learn to like.] when it came out right next to me. Since then, they've watched it with Me from when we barely knew about the Walls all the way to The Scouts reaching the ocean, and they've seen only clips of the final season until the dub starts this Sunday, today's date is the Ninth of January, and they're excited as I am to see what the dub brings to us. But then again I'm also more excited because we do get The Declaration of War this week. But I digress.

Tokyo Ghoul ended, and while the anime went downhill reaaaaaaal quick because of the shortening of a long story into a mess that hardly made any sense, to a manga with an ending that I didn't quite enjoy for both shipping as well as storytelling reasons that it left a sour taste in my mouth when I think about the Series anymore. It was amazing in the first half, but Re really did a number with how it went towards it's exodus. Too many unnecessary characters, things could've been done less sloppily, too much wasted development for the ones we did know and like, and done cheap stuff as well. But, if I were any good I'd have a manga or book series of my own. But I don't, so while I may not like things about a series, I really don't have the right to anything but my opinions on things. We're all allowed that in this world at least.

I really got into Rising of the Shield hero and some older series like the god tier Berserk, and the big 3 with Bleach. I've been amazed at Dr Stone, Re: Zero and JoJo's Bizarre Adventures. Honestly, I'm just going to list everything I've seen and read when I write my profile. But the sheer amount of seasonal anime as well as ongoing longer ones is amazing and kinda sad since I don't have much of a social life which gives me plenty of time to watch, although I do manage myself to schedules and such. Gotta have rules, don't we?

Well, this wasn't easy but I've decided to nix my Miss Kobayashi Dragon Maid story Goddesses need love too because I really didn't have any plans for it story wise aside from the first 2 chapters, and I never finished the draft for the second one. I'm sorry to those of you who were interested but I don't have the will to write for it. I know I'm also going back on a promise I made back then in my author notes that I would never forget a story or cancel one, but that was me being too optimistic while biting off more than I could chew. Therefore, some sacrifices have to be made.

I'm continuing Wings of a Warrior as it is my first story, and I intend to see it through to the end. While updates will take longer than usual, longer content does require time. I do plan on having the next chapter out before February, and hopefully the next one at the end of March. So for those of you who are eager to see James and Annie's story continue alongside the Rest of the Warrior crew, Happy things are in your future.

Moving onto my second story which is also my second AoT story, Awakening I will be returning to fairly soon. I aim to have the new chapter out also before the end of the month. That has been a tad easier to write since it mostly holds its place in canon while having what if scenarios and elements instead of nearly complete original concepts like the Haired Giants and a Titan Shifter people rather than only a certain race becoming them by exposure to spinal fluid. I've already got a good enough draft, mainly I just have to edit so that it flows smoothly. Well now that it's out there, let's move on...

...To my most (surprisingly) popular story Web of Hearts! I know I really blueballed you all with stopping my writing just before the climax and epilogue of the story, but I had to take some time off with how much I was overloading myself story wise. The final chapter would be my epilogue, which means it would be more than the usual chapter length for any of the previous entries in the story. The final chapter was also to be my first attempt at writing a Lemon, and for those of you who were anticipating that, continue to do so because I fully intend to do it. Although I technically made my first lemon chapter/moment in the last chapter of Wings that I uploaded towards the very end. And yes while it is between 2 titans with no reproductive organs whatsoever, it still counts in my eyes as one. So this time for Webs I'll have more of a straight path to follow and build upon it from there. I'm not clear on a release date, but I do intend to finish it with a bang (literally lol).

Unfortunately as I mentioned earlier with my disappointment I how the Tokyo Ghoul series played out anime and manga wise, I'm going to have to go on indefinite hiatus regarding my story One Rung Up The Food Chain. This wasn't an easy decision to make either, because I truly did have great plans for this story because I would be making it mostly AU while replacing Kaneki from the story entirely (don't shoot me, please). I intended many things to happen and not go how they would've in canon while also keeping characters in check personality wise. I may pick it back up one day, but at also give it to another author and friend of mine to write instead. So I'm sorry to those of you who wanted it to continue.

Well I guess I've accomplished what I wanted to do, I wanted to get out the word regarding my status as an author as well as the status of the stories you follow. Please do be patient, as times are not what they used to be anymore, and I will get these new chapters out for you all. Stay safe readers, and to those of you who will get it, Endure Struggler.
