Chapter 20/Final: A Fairy Tail Wedding

Ash and Delia were still working on the Teleportation Magic with Erza, nearing completion. Macao proposed to Delia who said yes. Ash had recovered from his bout with the Dark Guild. The next day, Fairy Tail had its typical scuffle. Luckily, the kids were outside and Macao's fiancée watched on far from the chaos. Lucy tapped Delia on her shoulder and she reacted.

"Lucy?" she noticed.

"Could you… come with me?" she requested. Delia hesitantly followed Lucy outside of the guild.

"Lucy, is there a reason you wanted me out here?" It took a moment for Lucy to compose herself.

"I didn't want you to be involved, especially since your engagement." Her concern made Delia shrug.

"Doesn't that happen everyday?"

"Yeah, but I don't wanna upset Macao and Romeo. Another reason is that… I want to confess on how envious I am about you." This made Delia blink while Ash, May and Pikachu came in.

"You? But what have I done to make you… envious? Is it about Ash?"

"Well, yes… but more of the fact that you're a mother… and a more caring one at that." Ash, May and Pikachu looked to each other on Lucy's confession. "It's… honestly to the point where I want to despise you… but I just can't. It may be that you're engaged to Macao and that when you do tie the knot, Romeo's gonna be your stepson… and I couldn't come out and express my envy." She turned her head away and clutched her arm. "My mother, Layla, was a Celestial Spirit Mage like me, but her body couldn't maintain the magic. She died while I was very little." Those that came from the Pokémon World gasped to the saddening truth.

"Oh dear… And your father?" The face on Lucy was of grit.

"Father? Jude? I don't know if I could even call him a father! He didn't care about me once! He was all work and no family, even after my mother died!" Her outburst relented. "I was told that he also died and that he was broke due to actions with his companies. I only found out that he had all sorts of gifts and letters to me… It's just…" Sniffles sounded from her nostrils. "I don't know if I can accept his apologies since he's gone and… he… was…"

"Come here…" Delia reached and pulled Lucy's head to her shoulder to hug as Lucy began to cry. "It's okay…" Pikachu felt bad for Lucy as Asuka met up with Ash and May. It didn't take long for Lucy to quiet down. "I agree… Family is the most important thing. Money is money: we have it, we spend it, but it should never wedge between love for anyone." Lucy turned her head to Delia who nodded. "You've got a great heart, Lucy. There's a reason you bear the HEART in Heartfilia." Lucy snorted a giggle while sobbing.

"I needed that. I'm sorry for-"

"No, you don't need to be. Ash and I do love each other and you see it. Think of it when you decide to have kids of your own, okay?" Lucy nodded to Delia's advice. Ash, May and Asuka arrived to help Lucy.

"We heard it all, Lucy," May spoke. "We can't feel sorry enough for what you've been through." Ash and Pikachu nodded to May's words.

"Auntie Delia?" spoke Asuka. "Can I hug Lucy, please?" Rather than Delia answer, Lucy knelt down and scooped Asuka up.

"Here…" she offered with a hug. After a few seconds, Ash had an idea.

"Pikachu's worried about you," he started with Pikachu in his arms. "He'd like to stay with you tonight."

("Can I, Lucy?") begged Pikachu. Lucy grabbed and hugged Pikachu.

"Of course you can!" she replied. Then, she turned to Ash and Delia. "When I heard of your progress in the Teleportation Magic, I was hoping to ask you about it… but I guess it all worked out."

"I guess so," May chuckled. "Pikachu must feel that we're heading back soon since his night with Asuka, yesterday." Lucy laughed to the sight of Asuka with Pikachu. Night fell, perhaps for the last time. At Lucy's home, Lucy brought Pikachu back.

"From what I heard, you, Ash, May and Delia will be back in your world pretty soon," Lucy promised as she removed her heels. "I bet you're anxious to be back with friends."

("Oh, I am,") Pikachu squeaked. As they entered the bed, Lucy began having a few questions of her upbringing.

"You know, I feel as if you and Ash are the luckiest pair I've met."

("Really?")

"I mean, you still have your mother." This made Pikachu a little confused and a little more worried. "I'm the only Heartfilia remaining."

("I heard about it") All Lucy did was shake her head. Pikachu became somber to Lucy's plight. ("I'm so sorry…")

"Hey, you don't have to apologize, if that's what you're doing. Besides, I have great friends with Natsu, Mira, Erza… especially you." That's when Pikachu thought of a way to make Lucy happy.

("Well, in that case…") He leaped from Lucy's arms to lick Lucy's neck.

"Pikachu!?" The licking tickled Lucy and Pikachu's tail reached her armpit, the fur rubbing the sensitive skin provoking more laughter from the blond. "STOP! HELP!" Her flailing gave Pikachu more openings to which he further tickled Lucy, including her bare feet. After some fun, Lucy tackled and pinned Pikachu. "Did you do that with Asuka?"

("No… why?") A grin formed on Lucy's face.

"Good boy…" She began to tickle Pikachu to the laughter he gave her. Meanwhile, Ash, Asuka and Wendy were snuggled together in one bed. Asuka was face-down with her arm draped around Ash's neck and Wendy's head rested on his shoulder and her arm on his chest. The next day, Ash and Delia announced their completion of their training in Teleportation Magic. Erza hugged Ash and Delia for their accomplishment.

"Well, I know you all have a trip to go on," she complimented. Ash was back in his original attire. Fairy Tail gathered to wish them off.

"So, I guess this is it?" started Natsu.

"Yeah, but I can't say that I didn't have fun," Ash smiled as they shook hands.

"Same goes for us," Gray added with a handshake of his own. "Who knows… Maybe we can visit to see how you guys are doing."

"Sure, as long as you keep your shirt on," May joked. Gray gawked and Mirajane hugged Ash while Evergreen and Cana had their last hugs to Pikachu. Gajeel shook hands with Mimey.

"If I do come by, I'll try not to take anyone out unless they commit crimes," he promise.

("You'll be fine,") Mimey assured. Happy and Carla reached Ash and Pikachu.

"I guess this is goodbye?" cried Happy.

"Trust me, Happy," Ash assured. "It's a simple bye. We'll see each other again." Carla had Pikachu join her.

"I did have a good time with you and Ash," Carla mewed. "Hopefully, we can see you again." She kissed Pikachu who squealed happily. Their lips making contact made Happy unhappy. That's when she morphed to her human form with Pikachu in her arms. "And that means you too." She kissed Ash on the cheek. Happy bawled to the added kisses.

("Matching kisses!") joked Pikachu. Ash blushed to the kiss as the engaged met.

"Delia, if you ever need me," Macao wished. "I'll be here, as well as Romeo."

"I know," Delia smiled. "I can't wait to make it official." Macao nodded before the two kiss. Erza made it to Ash and took a deep breath.

"You know, I never had a great time with perhaps one of our strongest wizards in this guild," she started as she rested her armored hands onto Ash's shoulders. "Honestly, if you were older… I would've wanted to keep you to love." Ash placed a hand on Erza's arm.

"I'm surprised you feel that way," he admitted. "If not for your help, I wouldn't have made it as far as I have. I mean, no offense to Mira or Elfman or Lisanna but you've been a bigger sister to me." Touched, tears trickled down Erza's face.

"Thank you, Ash," she cried before kissing Ash's cheek. Natsu, Gray, Gajeel, Lucy, Cana, Levy, Max, Jet, Droy, about everyone in Fairy Tail gawked to Erza's affection.

"We don't get anywhere close to Erza and yet, she gives love to the runt?" gulped Gajeel.

"What's his secret?" stuttered Natsu.

"Is there… a secret?" shuttered Elfman. Erza hoisted Pikachu up from Ash's shoulder.

"Hopefully, I'll see you around as well," she wished before kissing Pikachu's cheek, making him squeal in delight. Delia had an idea with a smile.

'I think Erza may be thinking about motherhood in the near future,' she believed. Lisanna came to Delia with a request.

"Say, is it alright if I go with you?" she asked. "You know, to the Pokémon World?" To Delia, someone wanted a firsthand experience.

"You want to see our land?" she referred. Lisanna nodded. "Of course! I'm sure Ash would want to bring Wendy and Romeo along for the trip." To Romeo and Wendy, it mean extra time with those they fell for in a new world.

"I'm sure we can allow them a short time and meet my brother and our friends," May offered. Romeo clasped May's hands together.

"Thank you, May," he praised before giving her a kiss. Lucy wanted to give one more piece of love to Ash as she approached.

"Thanks for all you and your mother did for us," she praised. "We won't forget you but we'll come on by." She gave Ash one more kiss to the cheek. "And I know that Natsu, Gray and a few others will stop by to see how you're all doing, as well as get some Pokémon of our own." Ash nodded, liking the influence to their world.

"Face it, Ash!" voiced Natsu. "When we get Pokémon of our own, we want to battle you!" Ash flashed a grin.

"You got it!" he replied. Lisanna, May, Romeo and Wendy stood behind Delia, Ash and Pikachu as the mother and son prepared their hands forward.

"Teleportation!" they started. "To the Pokémon World!" The vortex quickly flashed opened. Waives from behind, those departing acknowledged them and prepared to enter, which they did. When they came out of the other side. Everyone seemed to be alright.

"May!" a boy shouted. Turning, two boys were approaching. One was a tall tanned teenage brunette with his hair spiking and brown hiking coat and trousers and the other was a small raven-haired in a green polo t-shirt, glasses and shorts. May recognized the small boy.

"Max!" she called out before the two hugged each other.

"Ash!" the teen called out. Ash turned where the teen rose a hand.

"Brock!" he cheered with a high-five. Pikachu also did a high-five to Brock.

("Hey, Brock!") he squeaked.

"Pikachu, you're also okay!" smiled Brock as he gave Pikachu a high-five. "Good thing Ash reacted fast to save you from Team Rocket." Ash and Pikachu nodded as Max came over.

"So, tell us, Ash," he pondered. "How did you get out of there safely?" To Ash and Pikachu, their survival would be hard for the two to believe.

"We got lucky when we fell into a large body of water," he briefed. "Believe me, I thought we were goners but I did have to protect Pikachu by all means."

"So, you escaped Team Rocket's balloon and fell into an ocean?" wondered Brock.

"Sort of," Ash shrugged. Romeo and Wendy joined in the gathering.

"But at least we brought him and Pikachu back so that you didn't need to worry," Romeo assured. "We wizards know how to take care of each other." This made Brock and Max blink to the new kids.

"Oh, we didn't know you were around," Max apologized. "Who are you?" Wendy stepped up and stood by Ash and Pikachu.

"I'm Wendy Marvell, and that's Romeo Conbolt," she introduced. "I'm Ash's girlfriend and Romeo's May's boyfriend." Romeo nodded, but Brock and Max gawked to the news.

"Wait, you two are dating my friend and sister!?" realized Max.

"I know, and we're not the only ones," Romeo smiled. Lisanna came to see the two friends.

"So, this little guy's your brother," she understood. "I wouldn't mind to have him as a little brother myself... at least compared to Max back at the guild." Max blushed to Lisanna's compliment but Brock jumped in.

"You may see a little brother in Max, but I could offer my service as a boyfriend!" he swooned with his hands folding around Lisanna's. "I'm a wizard with foods, clothes, travel…" Max gripped Brock's ear, yanking it hard.

"We'll need a spell to remove that habit of yours," he grunted as he pulled Brock away. Lisanna had a moment to realize Brock's motive through squinted eyes.

"Wait, Max!" she yelped. Max stopped and released his grip on Brock's ear. "Please, I wanna know what kind of magic he can make." Brock gawked to Lisanna's wish. Everyone but Romeo and Wendy gawked to Lisanna's request. Brock stood up straight.

"Are you wanting to give me a chance?" he asked.

"I am!" claimed Lisanna. "My elder sister's a great cook herself and may be even better with Delia's teachings. If you can make something that makes it better than Mira… I may indulge myself to here and to you!" Sensing an opportunity, Brock grinned to Lisanna's challenge.

"You are!?" he snapped with glee.

"I, Lisanna Strauss, am offering you this chance," she presented. "Who knows, I may introduce you to Mira and Elfman." Brock flashed a grin.

"Lisanna, I haven't disappointed anyone yet," he proposed. "I know you'll be in for a treat." Ash, May, Max, Delia and Pikachu blinked, unsure if Brock could deliver.

"I'm also interested in trying Brock's cooking," Romeo spoke.

"So am I!" added Wendy. "And we can also tell you what we can do!" Brock laughed, knowing the challenge he had.

"We got some hungry kids, huh?" he chuckled before spinning a ladle. "Give me 15 minutes and you'll have your taste buds screaming for joy!" To Delia, it was typical for Brock.

"Why am I not surprised that Brock would do this to another girl he likes from all the stories from Misty?" she sighed. "Of course, I need to prepare myself." Max blinked as he turned to Delia.

"What kind of preparation are you looking forward to?" he questioned.

"I'm getting married to Romeo's father," Delia answered. Brock and Max gawked, his jaw hung by the skin and his glasses rolled off.

"Who, now?" wondered Brock.

"I'll explain while we eat," Romeo offered.

"Sure!" agreed Brock. "Luckily, we're a mile near the next town so it won't be long." On that note, everyone joined and headed to the next town. Romeo, Wendy and Lisanna were getting their first experience with the Pokémon World.

(Months Later)

It had been a few months since Macao proposed to Delia. Since then, thanks to Teleportation Magic learned by Erza, Ash and Delia, Fairy Tail Wizards have Pokémon, most becoming trainers like Ash. They gathered at a large palace of worship. Everyone was suited up in gowns or suits, including Gray. "I promise that I'm gonna keep this on," he sighed. "Otherwise, Lucy may unleash hell on me with Virgo. She's always looking for punishment." In one room, Natsu, Elfman, Ash and Wakaba were in blue tuxedos, helped by Loke. Romeo and Ash talked to each other, nerves numbing down as a black dog with a crown of a skull on its head and ribs sticking out of the body. A red man-like creature with a chicken beak and cream-colored hair approached Ash and Pikachu. It looked like it had red sweatpants with yellow legs and talons for hands.

"Blaziken is telling Pikachu and Houndy to join the rest of the Pokémon in the foyer," Romeo believed. Pikachu and the dog agreed and followed Blaziken out with other Pokémon. They met in the upper balcony with a Charizard, Glalie, Grovyle, Lapras and others unseen before. Crowds gathered and seen the Pokémon around. Lucy, in a pink gown, dropped off a pale yellow mouse, tinier than Pikachu with huge ears.

"Now, Pichu," she whispered. She also had a light yellow sheep and a pink winged scorpion by her. "Promise me that you don't interrupt the wedding?"

("I won't!") it squeaked. The sheep bleated before they were left at the balcony steps. After some preparations were double-checked, Pikachu spotted Lucy's Pichu before they joined. May, Max, Brock and Lisanna were also among the crowd.

"It's a good thing Ash defeated Anabel before we came for the wedding," Max assured.

"Seeing how tough Ash is, it's a wonder how he does it all," Lisanna giggled. "Though, give a few years for Brock and I to start a family." The priest stood in front and announced the wedding, and the plans for afterward. That's when he announced the arrivals. Everyone turned to see Natsu with Lucy, Elfman with Erza, Wakaba with Mirajane and Gajeel with Levy. Droy, Jet and the older Max cheered to Levy, embarrassing her. Like with Romeo and Ash, the groomsmen wore the blue tuxedos while the bridesmaids wore the pink gowns. Wakaba and Mirajane wore corsages, none on the others. With Romeo by his side, Macao walked down the aisle before meeting the rest. Asuka, in a little pink dress, walked down the aisle, spreading a bouquet of flower petals around. This alerted the crowd to stand up. In came Delia, wearing a strapless white wedding gown and a veil over her face. The organs played before Delia as she made a slow journey to meeting the man who proposed to her. Finally, she arrived as Erza excused Asuka. Ash was behind his mother, ready to help restore her love and giving her away to Romeo's father. They arrived before Ash stepped to the side, a pillow with rings on it.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome," the priest began. Makarov was already crying long before the vows were spoken. Also among the crowd for the wedding were the Rave Warriors. Wendy entered and stood by Lucy while Romeo had a hand on Ash's shoulder. "To set the story of these two becoming one within these holy walls, it began with one son's desperate dive. He discovered this place while rescuing his longtime friend. Before long, he became a wizard with some help from… our groom, Mr. Macao Conbolt. After learning magic, his mother, desperate to know the condition of her son, inadvertently entered to find a romance on first eyes contact… or as many have you know, love at first sight." The crowd laughed. "It was that moment where Macao and the bride, Miss Delia Ketchum, began learning about each other, knowing the secrets of each and Macao teaching magic that proved beneficial in the last struggle. Afterwards, fearing losing a woman whom he fell in love for, Macao proposed to Delia… and they said yes." All of the bridesmaids, including Mirajane, the Maid of Honor, cried with smiles on their faces. Juvia leaked small waterfalls from her eyes. Ash came forward with the rings.

"This is it," he offered. The rings were emerald with a violet ruby center. Macao took the one near him.

"Thank you," he whispered. The priest was ready to continue as Delia offered her hand.

"Macao Conbolt, co-leader of Fairy Tail," he titled. "Do you take Delia Ketchum as your beloved wife, thus becoming her beloved husband under the blessings of the Lord? Will you provide your heart, your soul and all the worlds within, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, enjoyment granting among the bonding families until death do you part?"

"I do," Macao replied as he slipped the ring to the finger on Delia's hand. Delia took the other ring.

"Delia Ketchum," the priest continued. "Do you take Macao Conbolt as your beloved husband, thus becoming his beloved wife under the blessings of the Lord? Will you provide your heart, your soul and all the worlds within, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, enjoyment granting among the bonding families until death do you part?"

"I do," Delia replied as she slipped the ring to the finger on Macao's hand. Ash was ready to officially call Macao his father as was the priest.

"These two have chosen to become one as a new family, a power strengthened by magic and by love," he proclaimed. "Anyone who has doubts as to why any of them can be together, that these two have serious animosity betwixt, speak now. Otherwise, forever hold your peace." Not even the Pokémon would object to the pairing. "Very well… Macao, please reveal Delia." Macao lifted the veil above Delia's face. "Everyone under the ceiling of the world created by the Lord, let alone under this roof, has all accepted the bonding of you two. Under the guidance of the Lord, I have the message to grant the two of you the family of one. Macao and Delia: I hear by name you husband and wife. Congratulations! You may kiss the bride!" Macao and Delia kissed, holding it as the crowd cheered and Erza collapsing to Lucy's arms, tears of happiness on the two. Outside, a party had erupted to the new couple. Delia Conbolt threw her bouquet to the crowd that began to fight, especially Juvia and Erza who nearly tore their dresses apart. It glided before it began to fall toward Lucy… and she caught it. Macao and Delia were then rode off on a carriage, just married and off to their honeymoon with a smorgasbord of gifts, including large eggs in capsules. Using Teleportation Magic, Ash, May, Brock, Max, the groomsmen, bridesmaids, Gray, Juvia, Lisanna, Romeo and Wendy gathered at a large diner. There was a sign on the door:

CLOSED FOR OWNER'S WEDDING AND HONEYMOON

Drinks were aplenty and the Pokémon also enjoyed the company. Romeo came to Ash and Wendy who had a Beautifly like May's and a purple butterfly she fed.

"Well, Ash," Romeo spoke. "We're stepbrothers now."

"Yeah, it's gonna feel really different with this new step and bond," Ash nodded. "Still, we have a lot to look out for."

"Especially if Macao and Delia come back and announce a new arrival," Wendy teased.

"Come on, Wendy," Ash sneered. "If Erigor was bad, what's a new baby gonna do?"

"And what happened to your Noctowl?" asked Romeo.

"Noctowl doesn't like light too much," Wendy shrugged. Pichu and Pikachu played around with other Pokémon like a small woolly mammoth with a pig snout.

"You know, if I didn't survive that fall from Team Rocket's balloon, none of this would've happened," Ash recalled. "To think, we're Pokémon Trainers and Fairy Tail wizards. Natsu's got Charizard, Magmar and Macargo; Lucy's got Mareep, Gligar, Kingler, Milotic and Pichu…"

"Gray's got Glalie, Piloswine and Lapras," Romeo listed. "Erza's got Tauros, Grovyle and Scizor…"

"We all have a lot to look forward to," Wendy summed up. Natsu came to Ash with a request.

"Hey, Ash!" he called out. "Look, I'm all willing to say congrats for your mom and Macao getting married… but I've been itching for a battle for sometime."

"How about tomorrow and let Tracey ref?" he suggested.

"Sounds good!" agreed Natsu. After the party, Erza herded most of the party people with Teleportation Magic. Before she left, she and Lucy gave one big hug and cheek kiss to both Ash and Romeo. In a white household, May and Romeo slept in one bedroom as the Pokémon slept in the living room.

"Asuka couldn't be happier with her shiny Pichu," Wendy told Ash.

"I heard," Ash acknowledged. "At least I know Asuka will take great care of Pichu." Wendy mounted Ash's chest with the blanket over them.

"You know, I'm happy that you did come by: Macao rediscovered love, Romeo helped May and you became my knight in shining armor." Wendy's summary made Ash giggle.

"Funny, since knights slay dragons and you have Dragonslayer magic."

"True, but it's the Tempests that have blown us together." There were some audible moans from the other room where Romeo and May slept in, but Ash and Wendy weren't bothered. They were kissing themselves to sleep. There was love found all around, but right now, one pair has a Fairy Tail Ending.
