Hopefully you have gotten over the disturbing last chapter, and this chapter will take a look at both Yoda and Obi-wans response, but also we will see Anakin go back to lessons as normal but things are seeming to get slightly different. Perhaps for the better
The Jedi both sat distraught and contemplating and trying to take all of it in.
Master Yoda reflected mostly on the councils failings as well as the identity of the sith lord, whilst Obi-wan was more concerned with his failing Anakin as well as his defending the council rather than his best friend. Also his marriage was a shock.
Both, however, were most mortified by the brutal and gruesome manner in which Skywalker slaughtered his enemies - especially the younglings.
How could anyone kill anyone like that- let alone children
Obi-wan still had waves of tears rushing from his eyes, whilst Yoda couldn't maintain a thought for more than a second.
"Any questions?" Anakin asked grimly
"Meditate on this we must. Speak again at another time we will." Yoda weakly muttered out with a heavy stutter
Anakin didn't reply and simply left the room. He didn't want to cause any more pain with anything he could say.
Anakin returned to his dorm to the sight of an empty room.
He looked out of the window and it was bright.
That vision must have gone on for over 8 hours it seems. Its mid-day now.
Well, at least they know why my mission is important, although I probably shouldn't have shown them some of the graphic details. I don't think they'll tell anyone else; at least not yet. they don't want to spread fear or mistrust among the order.
Anakin realized he should be in lightsaber training but decided to give it a skip.
He waited until meditation studies began before rejoining the other students, and used the excuse of Master Yoda wanting to talk to him as why he wasn't as the other lessons.
Master Shak Tii entered the room and stated, "Master Yoda will not be present today. I will take over todays lesson"
The students all looked at each other confused. Master Yoda had never missed a lesson. Ever.
"If you would get into position please." They Togrutan Master requested.
The students obliged but their faces still wore a confusion which also resonated with the Jedi Master who was also confused and slightly worried herself due to the grandmaster not giving any reason as to his absence ,and simply requested she take the lesson over.
Anakin thought back to him impaling the Togrutan. He sighed and dropped his head.
The Master noticed this, but thought nothing of it.
Once all the students were in their meditation pose the Master said, "Master Yoda has instructed me to cover the method of finding peace, for that is a way of clearing you mind to allow you to make better decisions in future, as well as to forgive yourself so you don't feel hatred for yourself, for hatred leads to the darkside."
Anakin knew who this exercise was aimed at.
Master Yoda must want my mind clear and to forgive myself for what I did, so i can help them make rational and good choices in our attempt to destroy the sith. he must also fear me turning again and wants me to focus on the light.
Anakin, along with the other students, closed their eyes and the Jedi master spoke calming words
Anakin saw nothing. No visions of his atrocities, no guilt, no fear - nothing.
The meditation session felt like it lasted days, when in fact it lasted just 2 hours.
Anakin and all the students awoke with a smile on their faces, including Dani.
It was now time for dinner. Anakin chatted and laughed with the other students as they went for dinner.
Obi-Wan POV
"You must choose Anakin." Palpatine begged
Obi-wan held his chin in his hands whilst trying to unravel the visions, and just how Anakin could fall to the dark side.
It's all my fault. I'm responsible for destruction of the order. If I only listened to Anakin and was more supportive then he would have been open about Padme with me, so he wouldn't have to go to Palpatine for help.
YODA POV
Lost our way our order did. Saw this Skywalkers Padawan did. Too blind we were to save the Jedi. Stop Sidious this time we must.
Anakin POV
Anakin socialized whilst slowly eating his dinner, however, Dani was still reluctant to talk with him and remained mostly silent.
After finishing their meals, all the students left rather dis-organized and dis-jointed compared to the traditional formal routine and efficient filing out that would normally occur.
It seems master Yoda is already working at a small scale to fix the order. That meditation session must have been arranged to make everyone happy and chatty in order to create a less rigid feeling structure to the routine. Normally the day is very uniformed and structured as well as a forced obedience to authority is strictly enforced, and that includes students making a formal entry and exit to the Cafeteria and set times, so perhaps Yoda is trying to slightly loosen that.
Anakin gave a smile. Things already seemed to be getting better.
"Lord Tyrannus. I feel a disturbance in the force" a deep voiced Sidious communicated
"I have felt it. Something is happening at the temple that causing my senses to heighten" Tyrannus responded
"I want you to investigate" Sidious ordered
"Yes my master" Tyrannus answered obediently
