A year later Susan, Aaron, and Tessa had decided that they should split up until Vader was killed. They had a few close calls which was the reason why they decided they needed to split. Aaron had joined the rebels as he meant up with Ashoka a week after he split. He knew that they could use his help if he wasn't the one fighting, he was still fighting for a good cause. Ashoka really was glad for his help.
Tessa would just hop, from planet to planet mainly researching what she could about the Jedi, but she told people that she was looking for new medical ways. No one ever thought anything different and she was able to find many Jedi and find out what they had found out what was going on since order 66 happened. She now understood why all the Jedi were in hiding and knew that if she used her, I'm researching new medical technology she would more than likely be in the clear.
Susan had started as a mechanic to make money until she had an encounter with Boba Fett who made her a deal that she couldn't refuse. Well it was you join me, or I tell Vader where your hiding Jedi. So, she ended up working with Boba if she didn't have to see Jabba the Hutt. She didn't like Hutt's and didn't want to deal with them. Boba agreed as he didn't mind even though he knew that Susan would go in explore around Tatooine whenever they were there. He knew that she met up with someone, but he wasn't sure who as she would never say.
Eighteen years later Susan was at Mos Eisley when she saw an old man that she knew was Obi-wan Kenobi who changed his name to Ben Kenobi. He was following by a younger man that she had to guess was Luke Skywalker. She sighed the boy looked so much like his father. She knew why Luke was so will hidden here seeing as Vader would never step foot on this god forsaken planet. Then again you never know if he knew his son was raised here then he just might. It was one reason why Susan didn't mind working with Boba since he never stayed on one planet for long so if anyone did recognize her as a Jedi then she was long gone by the time Vader got there.
She decided that she should go back to Boba's ship and wait for him he normally didn't stay with Jabba long. As she walked past the group, she slipped a note in Obi-wan's pocket as he stopped and walked toward Han Solo, who just shoot Greedo. She smirked one less bounty hunter around to annoy her. She made it to Boba's ship and saw him looking for her and asked, "Have fun Jedi?"
Susan sighed and said, "Boba we have been with each other for the last eighteen years you could at least call me by my name Susan or Sue. If you keep calling me Jedi, then we will have Vader on our ass just to kill me."
Boba sighed it was an ongoing argument. He didn't mind it since he did it to get his partner agitated. He liked Susan since she was good at getting out of sticky situations and since she was a Jedi Master, she was a great combatant. Plus, she had saved him a lot of money fixing the ship when it started to act up. He said, "Fine I'll try to remember to call you Susan."
As he saw Susan open her mouth he said, "Don't give me any of that old trolls do or do not there is no try."
Susan smiled as she walked up the ship and made sure that the Morning Bird was still secured in the holding ramp. It was another thing that Boba liked was that if he wanted to go after two bounty's then Susan would go after the other in her ship. He didn't do this often because for some odd reason every time that he let her out of her site on her ship, she would get in a scuffle with Mara Jade, which somehow included Vader. He wonders if she did it on purpose but the annoy look would make him think differently.
He got the engine ready and started to fly off and put the ship into hyperspace he said, "Which Jedi friend did you see today?"
Susan replied, "You wouldn't like the name, but it was Obi-wan Kenobi. He seems to be looking for a ship off the planet he was on his way to Han."
Boba nodded as he stayed away from any Jedi bounty as he still had a grudge against them for killing his father. He had talked to Susan the second year that she was with him and he told him about her padawan and then when she felt her master die during order 66. The other reason was that he knew Susan wouldn't be happy going after her friends as far as they knew only four other Jedi were still alive along with Susan.
Obi-wan was able to get a lift from Han Solo and was teaching Luke how to use the lightsaber at the cargo hold. He wished that there were another Jedi to help him train him. He had already read the note that Susan had dropped in his pocket. It was short and just said, "Please keep him safe, I'll try to protect him if we encounter each other."
He knew that Susan told the truth. Whenever she came to Tatooine she would spend a few hours with him as Boba went to Jabba and it was how Obi-wan knew that Tessa and Aaron were okay and alive which made him feel relieve. Susan had seen his friends on her adventures and had told them what she had heard.
On the death star's detention cell Aaron woke up with a groan. He couldn't believe that he was still alive since he had seen Vader bring another prisoner to the cell next to him. It seemed that Vader didn't recognize him, or he knew that he would be dead. Not that it bothered him that his friend didn't recognize him. He just figured that whatever happen to him did some damage to his memories. He wasn't looking the gifted horse in the mouth with that. When Vader was gone, he found out that the prisoner next to him was Princess Leia. He told her his name and that he was a Jedi. She smiled as asked, "So, how are we going to get out of this?"
Aaron replied, "If it was only that easy, I work with the rebels that are lead under Ashoka and I have been caught for a week now and haven't been able to escape. Thanks for keeping Vader busy as that is the only reason, he either forgetting about me or he doesn't remember me. I wish I listen to Rex and didn't do that mission."
Leia replied, "Then Obi-wan really is our only hope."
Aaron replied, "You don't know then, there are other Jedi still alive besides me and Obi-wan. My friend Susan is alive she works with Boba Fett somewhat against her will. My other friend is wandering around somewhere becoming a proficient healer. Then there is Yoda and the exile Ashoka. If Obi-wan does fail, then we just have to stay alive long enough for one of the others to save our skin or I may find a way out myself."
Leia wondered why anyone would work with a bounty hunter until she heard against her will. She wonders how that was possible since Jedi were known to be peacekeepers in the past.
Tessa was on Yavin 4 studying the plants there. She knew that the alliance was there and had hoped that they didn't bring the empire to this area. She had healed a few of them in the past but she still couldn't figure out why they were fighting for a lost cause no matter if they win or not it would not be the republic that she had once loved. She knew that she had no one to blame but Palpatine, for the war but she also blamed Padme since she just had to do a vote of no confidence in Chancellor Valorum. She didn't know the circumstance as it was before her time, but she did blame her for it.
A week later Vader did the mistakable as he destroyed Alderaan when Leia wouldn't tell him where the rebel base was at. He had her taken back to her cell. The stormtrooper made a mistake and threw her in the same cell as Aaron was in, who was on the ground out cold.
A few minutes earlier Aaron felt vibrations going through the floor he wondered what the hell was going on. As he went back into a meditation, he felt the death of all the people on the planet that he was on top of the death wave was so intense that he fell unconscious as the planet destroyed.
Leia ran over to him and made sure that he was still breathing knowing that he would have a headache when he woke up. She just hoped that he wasn't standing when he fell. Making sure that he was still breathing she sighed and went to the bed to lay down for a few minutes.
Obi-wan felt the death of the planet and sighed as he knew that he wouldn't be getting help from Bail, but he knew that Leia was probably on whatever destroyed the planet. As they got out of hyperspace, they saw a large black moon that Obi-wan replied, "That it was no moon it was a star ship."
He could feel that Vader was on that ship, but he also felt another person he hadn't seen in years he wasn't one hundred percent sure, but he was sure it was Aaron. It could also be Tessa, but he didn't think that she would get caught. Aaron on the other hand never learn the importance of retreat.
Tessa felt a disturbance in the force and knew that her time was gone she started to walk toward where she knew the alliance was stationed. She knew that she would be needed to fight, and she wouldn't be able to hide from Vader any longer. She was glad that she still had her lightsaber that she normally kept in her backpack she took it out and turned it on making sure that it still worked. She smiled when she saw the green blade. She whispered, "It's time for the Jedi to return to fight."
Susan was sitting in the co-pilot seat when she felt the disturbance in the force. She hissed in pain and she put her hand on her head trying to smooth the pain. Boba heard the hiss and looked at his partner and asked, "Are you okay Jedi?"
Susan got her composer and said, "Yea, I'm fine Boba. I just felt a disturbance in the force it felt like a whole planet just got wiped out of existence. I was surprise to feel it since I haven't used the force in years."
Boba nodded as he had seen Susan in a fight, she never brought out her lightsaber or really use the force. When she did use the force, most people would think that she just had good reflex when she was just using the force to protect herself in battle.
As the Millennium Falcon docked on the death star. Obi-wan went on his own to try to destroy the tractor beam while Han and Luke stole storm troopers' uniforms and used Chewie as a prisoner. When they got to the detention center and knocked out the guards thanks to Chewie, they took off the helmets as Luke said, "I can't see shit in that thing."
They found which cell Leia was at and they went to go and rescue her they were shock when they saw another prisoner with her. They were even more shocked when he said, "Look princess we're saved."
Leia just shook her head and looked at the people who opened her cell and walked out as they told her that they were here with Obi-wan Kenobi. That made Aaron become serious once again and said, "We should get back to whatever ship you came on and get out of here. I have been lucky that Vader hasn't figured out who I am, and I don't want to know what he would do to me if he does realize who I am."
Leia nodded as they started to escape with storm troopers chasing them down. It was bad enough that they saw Vader kill Obi-wan which effected Luke more than any of them. Aaron was used to feeling Jedi die so he didn't let it affect him. He had a feeling that if Obi-wan wanted to die from Vader's hand. He knew how hard it was on him to leave Anakin at Mustafar after that brutal duel. He only knew about this through Susan who heard it from Obi-wan on one of her earlier trips to Tatooine. She was always passing notes with information for the Jedi and allies whenever she came around them. He wondered where she was at this moment.
As they left on the ship Aaron was taking up where Obi-wan had left off on with Luke's lightsaber training. He wished that he didn't leave his lightsaber with Ashoka at the base, but he wasn't expecting to get caught either. He knew that once he got a note to Cam then he would send his lightsaber to him one way or another. That or if he could find Tessa or Susan then he could ask them for spare parts and rebuild his lightsaber. He had hated it the first time and he wasn't looking to do it a second time. Aaron finally looked at the lightsaber better and said, "You better take good care of that lightsaber Luke. It belonged to your father and had a lot of meaning to my friends and me."
Luke nodded as they went to go and see how far they were from the alliance base. Aaron just wanted to be out of space as he knew that Vader wouldn't rest now that he saw Luke with his own eyes. Even he could see too much of Anakin in Luke that they had to be blood related and if he could tell then so could Vader.
As Tessa made it to the Alliance Base, she told them that she wanted to join and how she could be helpful. They took her up on the offer as she was a war hero form the clone wars and a Jedi at that. As she was helping with their strategies and what would make them a harder target then what they were right now. The pilots had started to see why she lived so long, she could see weakness and try to find a way to make it a strength. Tessa wished that Susan were here as then the plans would be more foolproof.
When the falcon finally came to the Alliance base they landed, and Leia debriefed the leaders and gave them over the death star plans that she had hidden in R2D2. Aaron noticed Tessa standing to the side and seeing that they would need someone with a Jedi or someone who can listen to the force to make that shot. He knew only a few that could make a shot like that which was of course him, Tessa, Susan, and Vader. He already knew that it would be either him or Tessa. He knew that Luke could feel the force, but he didn't think a newbie in the force could make that shot. Tessa whispered, "They can't make that shot and I refuse to do a suicidal mission that this is. Susan would have been the best candidate as she always seemed to have the best of luck if you don't count the Boba Fett encounter when she fixed his ship."
Aaron replied, "Still think that she should have messed with his ship that when he started it up it blew up."
Tessa sighed as she heard what happen and knew that Boba would have told Vader where Susan was staying. Plus, Susan never did get rid of her ship the Morning Bird and Vader knew too well what type of ship that Susan flew. The funny thing is that Vader always help Susan escape from the emperor's right-hand woman Mara Jade. It was like Vader wanted Susan to live so he would get involved.
Aaron said, "Tessa, I hate asking but do you have parts so I can rebuild me lightsaber I really don't think that Ashoka or Cam could send me my lightsaber or bring it to me."
Tessa went to her backpack and brought out the parts that he needed plus a blue crystal that she had found a few years ago. He smiled as he went to her room and started to build his lightsaber. Once it was finished and tested to make sure it works properly. He smiled and said, "Now I feel like a proper Jedi."
Tessa replied, "Now only if Susan was here, I would feel better in this coming up battle."
Aaron replied, "I know Tessa, but at the same time you know that she is being black mailed into working with Boba plus she is getting us information that normally we wouldn't be able to get."
Tessa said, "I know Aaron, but while we are together now, Sue isn't with us and I miss our time together. Plus, we both know that there is still good in Vader otherwise he would have killed you when he had you or just let Mara Jade get her hands-on Sue."
Aaron nodded as he thought about that he remembered Obi-wan so what was to say that he didn't remember him.
Susan was sleeping in her bed, but it wasn't peacefully. She was dreaming about the day order 66 happened and she felt the death of her master through the force sadly it was also over the comm. Fisto had told her what they were planning on doing, but in his rush he forgot to turn off his commlink. Susan had heard everything that had happened. She didn't know if he did it internal or not. It just made her heart break double. She had made sure that her commlink was turned off before she screamed and cry. She was woken up by Boba Fett who heard her scream and went to go wake her up. He understood what she had gone through he had nightmares from when his father was killed. As she woke up, she thanked Boba for waking her as he said, "It's nothing, you had an experience that you shouldn't had to deal with. I pity you Jedi since you can sense death through the force but to have to also hear it over a comm must have been tragic."
Susan nodded as she said, "I wish I knew if he realized that his commlink was still on. It's one of the things I would never know. I haven't used that commlink since that night since I don't want to know if anyone found his commlink after his death."
Boba nodded as he left knowing that Susan would just get dressed then go practice of meditate before meeting up with him in the cockpit. He would never say it, but he appreciated having her with him as he wasn't lonely anymore plus she most of the time sensed things before they happened and gave him warning.
Susan went into one of the unoccupied rooms and started to do katas after she changed her clothes. She was not in the mood to meditate as she needed to move, and the Katas did just that. Sadly, she could only do the first three but that was enough for her. Once she was calm, she went back to the cockpit with an apple in her hand. He nodded to her as she sat down looking through the data pads that had the bounty's that they were going to go after. As she flicked through them Boba asked, "Any of them good to go after?"
Susan replied, "No, real high-priced ones just standard. Wow even the bounties on Jedi went down quit a lot that's sad."
Boba laughed and said, "I would think that the bounty would be high seeing as there are only few of you. There like what six or seven of you left?"
Susan replied, "Now that Obi-wan's death I think there are seven of us that I know that are still alive unless more are hidden. We reappear here and there, and I try not to find them unless they show themselves first. I think that Vader and the emperor are just giving up on hunting us down as we are not standing up against them."
Boba nodded he knew that the Jedi in hiding were leaders of the rebels but don't get involved in the fight unless it was a complete suicide one. They were always peacekeepers they didn't like to fight unless it was a last resort. Reason why he and Susan got along she didn't give him the Jedi talk, she just stayed out of his way and helped in other ways.
Boba replied, "Is there a bounty yet on Han Solo?"
Susan looked back at the data pad and said, "Nope, Jabba is going to give him a little more time than normal before he puts that bounty down, I would give it about two months if not more. We just need to be patients on that one. I know you have been wanting to get your hands-on Han, but we could go on one of these lower bounties until his is on the table."
Boba nodded as Susan told him the coordinates for one of the larger amounts.
Back on Yavin 4 Tessa and Aaron were trying to teach Luke to feel the force so that he could tell when to let the proton torpedo go. Luke didn't understand what they were saying and just decided to do it his way. He really didn't want to try to figure this all out while Tessa told R2D2 protect Luke like he did Anakin. She knew that she had said the right thing as R2D2 started to beep in delight. For some reason R2D2 didn't see his loving pilot Anakin as the dark and evil Vader. She wondered if it was better being a robot then it was being a human.
As the fight came too Tessa and Aaron watched on the ground with Princess Leia who Tessa wondered if she could be related to Padme as she looked a lot like her along with doing impossible hair styles. She would have to find and talk to Yoda about it since no one else alive was there when Padme gave birth. Hell, the only way she knew that Luke was Vader's son was because he looked exactly like Anakin plus he hold's the Skywalker name. She just met Padme a few times and they look alike but that doesn't mean anything.
As they defeated the death star and decided to relocate on the planet Hoth. It had been three years since they had destroyed the Death Star. Aaron and Tessa kept working with Luke on his lightsaber techniques and force manipulation. It wasn't anything that the trainees didn't learn but then again Luke was a complete newbie. They were also worried when the Empire would find them here. Tessa knew that Vader would be looking for Luke since he destroyed the Death Star and it made her think that it was funny that it the son destroying his dad's toy and not the other way around. She was surprise that Han and Chewie had stayed with them on Hoth. She was sure that he would have taken the prize and run to pay off his debt to Jabba, but he didn't. She smiled as he was always arguing with Leia and Luke would just watch in humor. It reminded her of Anakin and Obi-wan and either her or her friends would be standing there with a smirk on their face.
Susan sighed as she once again heard Boba come back from probably another dead end with finding Han Solo right when Jabba put the bounty on his head that was the only one Boba was interested in. Thankfully, some of the other bounty's were on the planets that they were searching so Boba did end up still making money. Susan sighed as she was sitting on the ship bored since they were only going to be on the planet to turn in a bounty. Suddenly, she got a message that made her go cold since the sender was Vader. The only reason she knew that was because it was written in not only republic codes but her own. Anakin was the only one who was ever successful in decoding her work. Not even the droids could do it but then again Anakin stated that her codes were unique, and the droids couldn't do that.
Boba came back in and said, "Jedi, are you okay?"
Susan replied, "I will be I got a message from Vader today and I need a few minutes to decode it."
Boba replied, "How do you know that it's from him, how did he even know that you are with me?"
Susan replied, "One you only call me Jedi, someone could have easily overheard you. Two the codes he used is republic plus some of my old codes that I haven't used since the clone wars only Vader could decipherable them and use them as well. Three he has stopped Mara Jade from capturing me a few times. And finally, he knows how to sense me with the force. I may not use the force, but you can still sense someone through the force. I don't know how he hasn't noticed Yoda yet but then again I would think that Yoda being a grand master he would know how to shield himself."
Boba nodded he knew that Susan wanted to go back to her friends but knew that they would be too noticeable together and it would paint a big red target on their ship. He asked, "have you deciphered what Vader wants from you?"
