Gingerbread cookie
It was December. Virgin River was covered in snow. The small lake behind the cabin froze. Mel and Jack often sat out on the pier and watched the scenery. They took long walks so the woman could breathe fresh air. It was good for her in this condition. The snow stopped on the branches of the pines. It was like in tales. Only Santa was missing from the picture. It was Saturday. Mel slept for a long. Jack made her pancakes and hot tea with ginger.
+ Morniiing Sleeping Beauty! – and smiled at her.
Mel didn't look like a Sleeping Beauty at all. Her hair was tousled, and her pajamas were chocolate stained. Her face was a little red because the pillow pressed it. But Jack thought she was a beauty. His one.
After breakfast Mel was chatting with her sister on phone.
+ What are you doing at Christmas? - Mel asked Joey.
... with Bill's parents? Seriously? It will be interesting ... you will miss it very much ... okay ... I love you too ...
+ Can't visit you?
+ No. - she pursed his lips. They travel to Bill's parents ...
+ So they reconciled?
+ I think they'll try again ... yes.
+ Hmm. If that's how it turned out ... how about we travel to Sacramento?
Her face brightened.
+ Super! I love your parents so much... and your mom's food... oh Jeez... I want that brownie now... Can't just you call her to send me some? And make lot lot lot of at Christmas time? ...
+ Talking about food... he pointed to her belly ... what about our little secret? Will we tell them? - squatted in front of her and stroked the belly.
+ Hmm. I think so ...
+ After all, we can't say that bulge is my head... like when I'm under the blanket ... - he chuckled…
Mel pulled her husband close. She kissed him hard and then ripped his shirt off.
+ What's going on with you wife?
+ Say it again?
+ Wife?
+ Yeah ...
+ Keep saying during the action too...
+ You are the most extraordinary woman... - noticed sensual.
+ Before that... can you bring me a bar of chocolate?
He raised his eyebrows and snorted... what a woman... pregnant woman...horny woman...
+ In the cupboard. - and she smiled.
Mel went to take a shower. After a while, Jack secretly followed her wife.
He was peering. The glass door was damp, but the shapely figure of the woman was completely outlined. And her belly as well. It was beautiful view. A big pink splendid form. Jack opened the door and snuggled up to her.
He pushed her against the wall and began to kiss her mouth softly. Grabbed her face with both hands and hold his wife. She moaned quietly. The man found his pregnant wife irresistible. He always wanted her. Could only think of Mel. He held her head with one hand, placed the other on wife's belly and began stroking it. She visibly enjoyed it. She was so happy...
+ Now what are... it's dangerous to take me on your lap.
+ I know ...
The man sat down on the floor and then pulled her close. Mel sat in the man's lap and hugged him around with her legs.
…
Jack was done and got dressed.
Mel had just come out of the bathroom. Her hair was still wet, her body covered with a towel. Except the shoulders. Jack stood behind her, then kissed it. The right one.
+ Do you think I'm fat? - she asked during looking at her body.
+ What? No. - he replied. And he didn't lie. Although If she was fat, he would still want a her.
+ I think I gained weight.
+ You picked up a little extra weight, that's right.
She turned suddenly and looked at her husband angrily.
+ So you think I'm fat ... I knew it...
Jack put his hand on her belly...
+ I was thinking about this extra weight. But if you care so much, it wouldn't bother me, if you had gained weight. I love you... and not your body.
Jack turned her around. They both looked in the mirror. The man was still standing behind the woman. He took off the towel.
+ Do you see what I see?
+ No ... - she remarked.
+ I see a beautiful woman. My wife. The love of my life. Who is pregnant. – sighed. And who will be a mom. My child's mom. - and took both of his hands to the belly. And you know what I don't see?
+ What? - she asked touchedly.
+ Extra pounds, excess weight... but (grabbed her breasts) maybe these have got some extra stuff... – and he tittered.
Mel was smiled at him.
Now get dressed. - and her husband slapped her butt gently.
She leaned down for the towel. The man stood there motionless.
+ What's wrong? asked Mel seriously.
+ Nothing. - said highly.
And as he said, he had already taken the woman in his arms and carried her to bed.
BEFORE LUNCH
Mel was reading a book. Anatomy. Huge book, white cover, red letters. A female body on the picture. Pregnant women - that was the title. She was lying on the couch, stretched out her legs and covered the body with a blanket. It was snowing outside. The weather was nice. Inside, the fire was burning in the fireplace, and Jack was making lunch. French fries…
+ Are you sure you want this? French fries and vanilla pudding? – he asked and shook his head.
+ Yeah! – thank you Honey. And she returned to her book.
…
+ Have any plan for today? – Jack turned to Mel.
+ No… - eating…reading… - she laughed and stroked her belly.
+ Afternoon I would go find a tree for the bar. Wanna join me?
+ Tree? You mean Christmas tree?
+ Yes! - he smiled at her.
+ You can be sure I'm going ... - began to applaud.
+ Did you know that you are like a pregnant child? He hesitated ... I mean ... I'd rather keep quiet ... - and chuckled.
IN THE FOREST
Mel was wearing a thick coat, warm gloves, and a knitted hat with a pad on it. She looked like a gray skein. Jack put on his khaki winter coat. This color suited him well. And he's already used to it. Everything around them was white. A thick blanket of snow covered the soil and trees. The rocks and the valleys as well.
+ What kind of tree do you want?
+ Me?
+ Who else? You are my wife ... - laughed. Don't all women believe that she is the boss in marriage?
+ They do. Only I have kept it a secret so far ...
The man snorted.
+ Not very well, Honey.
She put both hands on her hips. Usual angry female posture.
+ Stay like this a little – then he took out his phone and took a photo… Perfect. New wallpaper. – laughed.
+ It's not funny! – she said.
+ Yes it is. And I think if we can laugh at and with each other is a good sign. - caressed her face… So the tree?
+ Uhmm. Bushy, dense, dark.
+ Still talking about the tree or your (looked down onto her … part).… - snickered so much.
She slapped his arm mischievously.
+ Douglas fir? – smiled.
+ Yeah! – her eyes twinkled.
They searched for the trees for a long time. Eventually Mel found a very nice one. It was great, just right for the bar. Jack quickly hewed it, tied it, and put it on top of the car. Fixed strongly.
+ Mel come on. It's cold. - he shouted.
Mel walked with fast steps. When she got to the car Jack turned around. She pushed him against to the car.
+ What's up? ... Here? ... Now? ... But it's cold ...
She pointed at the car. Or rather, in the car.
+ Switch on the heating. I don't want to catch a cold…
+ That's actually a medical misnomer. - he smirked.
HALF AN HOUR LATER
Mel went back to the trees.
+ What are you doing?
+ I'm walking.
+ Now?
+ Oh! Look! It's even prettier! - she became sad.
+ Would you rather want that? - her husband asked.
+ Ah, no. Two trees are unnecessary.
+ Are you sure?
+ Yes. Let's go home. I'm cold.
…
Jack was driving. They were about 30 minutes from the bar. The car was warm and smelled so good. Cinnamon. Thank to a small oily fragrance structure.
+ The car is like a big moving cinnamon roll... - she noticed.
Jack snorted...
+ So you want some cinnamon roll? - he asked.
+ Hmm.. no...yes! - she grinned at him.
+ I love you! – he said. Then she replied the same.
AT THE BAR
Jack took the tree into the bar. It was fabulous. Exactly what Mel wanted. Dark green, rich and fragrant. A huge green dream. She loved Christmas as a child when they decorated the house with their parents.
+ Is it okay if we have company?
+ Sure! – she said.
…
+ Hey! We are here. You can come! And Oh, don't forget the stuff.
…
It was Hope. She had two large boxes in her hands.
+ So you are the ones ...
+ Ones?
+ Virgin River Christmas Elves.
+ You can say that. - hope laughed.
+ What's in the boxes? - and Mel pointed at them.
+ Ornaments...
Jack went upstairs. There was a rattle.
+ What is he doing? - asked his wife.
+ You'll see ... - and Hope stroked Mel's head.
Jack came down the stairs with 3 big boxes.
+ Ornaments?
+ Ornaments! - grimaced with smile.
Mel took wooden ornaments out of the box. Red, blue, green. Traditional handwork. Wonderful pieces.
+ These are beautiful! Where did you get them?
+ Ask your husband! - and pointed at Jack. (Mel loved the word... husband. Hus-band...). I think from some forest ... You know he made them.
+ They are magical. Like in the Nutcracker!
+ Yeah! You can find one like that! I loved the story in my childhood. Still.
Jack started a playlist. Classic Christmas songs and Christmas country. Pure Jack. The trio was decorating the tree. Traditional style and lots of light. The tree was located next to the fireplace because only fit there...
"You better watch out
You better not cry
You better not pout
I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town"
Jack grabbed his wife's hand and pulled herm close. They started dancing. Everyone laughed, even Hope. Mel was very surprised. Jack is a real gentleman, but still cool. Mel went back to the tree.
+ Hope! You don't think I forgot you, do you? - and he danced with her too.
Mel was looking at them and smiled. What a man! What a lover! He was her destiny...
The higher branches were decorated by Jack. When Mel took out a piece, she had to stretch up to reach the twig. Her cardigan opened and the belly was showed. Hope accidentally saw the whole scene. Her face froze. Jack and Mel looked at her at once. Hope directed her head from Mel's belly to the married couple, then back and repeated this.
The youngsters just smiled but said nothing. They waited for Hope to ask.
+ Hey Jack! I think you has gone into battle too many times lately ... if I can see well - and pointed at her belly.
+ We can say. But the truth is, I was just forced. By this woman! – he sniffed and stood with raised hands like surrender.
+ That is outrageous! You don't look like you should be forced. – said Mel shocked…
They finally decorated the tree. It was wonderful! The Christmas mood permeated everything.
Jack and Mel went back to the cabin. It was warm inside. She decided to make hot chocolate for themselves... The phone rang. It was Preacher.
+ Hey Preach! ... now? ... Ok! ... I'll meet you there.
…
+ You have to go?
+ Yes! Preacher needs me ...
+ Hurry back! I'm waiting for you here ... - and she was lying on the bed...With chocolate.
The man's breath stopped.
+ With chocolate? In you or on you?
She hesitated, then smiled.
+ Both.
+ Oh, you are killing me!... - he leaned over and pressed a quick kiss to her lips.
Mel drank the hot chocolate, put some logs on the fire, then took a shower and snuggled into bed.
Jack got home at dawn. He moved in the house with careful, quiet steps. Dragged a large, thick, lush pine into the living room. Exactly the tree Mel chose second time. He decorated the tree in silence. Placed special ornaments on the twigs, then lay down next to his wife and hugged her.
A few hours later it was still dark outside. Mel woke up and moved closer to her husband. She poked his shoulder.
+ Hey! Are you awake? - asked softly.
The man was sleeping.
Mel squirmed for a short time, then hid under the blanket. Jack suddenly woke up. His eyes were wide open. There was a pleasant surprise on his face.
+ Hey! Honey! You ... You ... What are you doing?...
She said nothing just stroking his body.
He pulled her to his face and kissed her strongly.
+ You ate chocolate?
+ Aham… - she nodded.
Jack gently wandered down with his tongue. He touched her neck, shoulders, chest.
+ How did you eat that chocolate? Full of chocolate stains.
+ I know ... Intentionally. - she said mischievously.
+ Anywhere else? – he asked and laughed.
+ Maybe… - she chuckled.
+ Let's trick or treat… - he whispered.
NEXT MORNING
The colors have disappeared from nature. Everything was white and gray. Peace and tranquility. Sunlight was a rarely seen friend at this time. When it visited Virgin River, everything shone.
The room was full of coffee's scent. Mel opened her eyes but didn't noticed the tree. Jack lay back next to her in bed.
+ Good morning my love. - he said and kissed her head.
+ Hmmm. Good morning my love! - she thought of the coffee. And you husband too...
+ You're funny ... - he coughed.
The man stroked her belly and pressed a kiss to her neck.
She shivered. She loved it when her husband did it. She was happy. Very happy.
+ How do you always know what to do?
+ I'm observe you. That's all. I have to pay attention to every little thing: what sound leaves your mouth when I do this (he kissed her chin), what your face will be like if I do this (he touched the woman's chest gently), or what reaction I elicit from you when I do this (and stroked the woman's inner thigh). - he licked his lips.
+ And what is the experience so far? - she sighed.
+ I do my job well. - laughed.
…
It was a wonderful morning. And they made it more wonderful. Jack was lying on his wife carefully. She turned her head to the right and noticed the tree. Suddenly she pushed the man away from herself, wrapped the blanket around her body, and sat down in front of the tree.
She was just sitting and watching in silence. Abnd egan to cry. Jack picked up his jeans and a shirt, but didn't button it. Her upper body was half-naked, her muscular chest was visible under the shirt. He crouched behind Mel.
+ It's amazing ... when did you do it? - she cried.
+ At dawn. - the man wiped away her tears.
+ These ... these are Mom's ornaments. - she remarked touched.
+ I asked Joey.
+ But when, how?
+ I had a delivery man... Mike ...
+ It's so beautiful. The last time I saw them was ... that year... not so earlier before...
The man hugged his wife tightly. There was no need for words.
+ I miss her. I miss that I can't talk to Mom. I can't tell her I'm going to be a mother ... that I'm happy ...
+ I know ... - he put his arm around her shoulder.
They were sitting in silence for a while, then Jack sighed.
+ I think she sees everything. See how happy you are. And you know, she's here even if you don't feel. Mel! - he took her hand. Your Mom watches you and still loves you so much…
A WEEK LATER
They woke up early. They had to leave for Sacramento. It was almost Christmas. Only 2 days till Christmas Eve. Jack thought it would be good for his wife to be a little alone with his mother. Without the girls... The trip was pleasant. Everything was covered in snow. The radio was turned on and they were listening to Christmas carols. Mel started singing and stroking her belly.
+ You know, I wouldn't be as silly now as I was last time.
+ What do you mean?
And she put her hand on her husband's knee, signaling her intention.
+ If you offer yourself, I certainly wouldn't refuse.
+ Here? Now? - he asked in surprise.
+ I'm pregnant. You remember? - she asked doubtfully.
+ It's like I've heard of it. - he chuckled and kissed her hand. It was even softer now. Her skin just glowed. The pregnancy. In his eyes, his wife was the female ideal herself.
AT THE SHERIDANS
Jack's mother ran towards them with opened arms.
+ Helloooo! - then kissed Mel on her cheek and hugged her. Then she did the same with her son.
+ Come quickly! It's cold outside!
The fire was burning inside. Sam was sitting on the couch, who as soon as heard Mel's melodic voice immediately stood up and ran to the woman.
+ Oh hi Dear! - he pulled her close and hugged her. I'm so glad you're here! ... and of course you too, son! - he chuckled.
+ Well ... the first girl I brought home has already taken my place... - Jack laughed.
Sam helped Mel with her coat, hung it on the hanger and offered her a seat.
+ Take a sit! It's pretty warm here ...
Mel smiled. Very much. She felt happy due to the reception. She loved Jack's family very much. His parents were great people and they loved her. Mel was a fan of them too.
Jack took the suitcases to the room then helped his mother. During this time, Mel was chatting with Sam and listening to awkward family stories. Loved these stories. Little secrets about Jack. She wondered what he was like as a child.
Everyone was sitting in the living room.
+ Mom! Why didn't you decorate the house? - asked Jack.
+ I thought Mel could help me. She must be decorating very nicely! - Emily smiled.
Jack understood why the house was not decorated. Emily knew Mel missed her parents and traditions. A little maternal love! That's what she wanted to give Mel. Jack was grateful to his mother very much. For the rest of the day, Jack and his father went for a tree. Although the forest was a little far away, Jack definitely wanted a tree from there. It was huge! It could barely fit on the back of the car.
Emily and Mel was decorating the house. Everything was red, green and gold. The house was full of scents: orange, cinnamon, apple and chocolate aroma were circulating in the house. Red bows, wreaths and snow globes. In front of the stairs a huge mistletoe was hanging from the ceiling with a large red bow on it.
+ Perfect for you two, Darling! – Emily snorted.
The men got home. Jack tried to pull the tree into the house. And his father pushed it.
+ Pull! Pull! - shouted Sam.
+ Easy to say! Here's the heavier part! - Jack laughed.
+ Maybe we should call your wife, you little punk! She definitely can pull it in! - giggled. This was also heard by the women.
+ Can I help you, Honey? - his wife asked with a smile.
+ No! My pride is still in its place. - he snapped like a kid.
…
+ Come Darling! Leave them alone. – Emily grabbed her hand and took to the kitchen.
Emily took a box out of the cabinet.
+ Merry Christmas darling! - she smiled at Mel.
The box was new. There was a cook apron inside of it. Red color with green bow patterns. And in the middle an embroidered name: Mel.
She was touched. She cried herself. She had not feel that feeling a long time ago. She got a mother. Was so happy with the gesture that her face was full of tears. Jack heard her crying and thought something was wrong so ran into the kitchen. There he only saw his mother hugging his wife and Mel holding an apron in her hand.
+ What's wrong? - Jack asked with soft voice.
+ Look what I got from your mom! - she showed the apron happily. Her face was red because of crying.
+ Can you help me? - Mel asked her husband.
The man nodded and tied the apron around his wife's waist.
+ Turn around! - Jack touched her wife's shoulder and turned her.
+ This is amazing! Thank you so much! I have never received such a beautiful gift. - she meant this not only to the apron, but to what it meant.
The apron stood on the woman's body just as it charted her growing belly nicely.
Jack went back to the living room. Decorating the tree was their part. He was really good in it!
+ Do you bake at Christmas? - Jack's mother asked.
+ I only can gingerbread. I don't cook very well... - she sighed. Jack says my cooking is delicious, but I know it's awful. He just loves me and only eat it bacuse of that.
Emily laughed...
+ I think Jack is used to eat weird foods. During 22 years of marine service, he ate hardly any homemade meals.
Emily took out a scrollable recipe holder. Soups, main courses, desserts. There was a separate section for Christmas cakes.
+ We have cakes and cookies every year. But unfortunately I can't make gingerbread cookies. Would you do me a favor and show how to make it? the old lady asked, taking Mel's arm.
Mel nodded and smiled her so much.
+ What do we need?
+ Butter, sugar, honey, eggs, flour, starch, cinnamon, nutmeg ... and ginger. - grinned.
Emily took out the ingredients and placed them on the kitchen counter.
+ Watch this! - she remarked.
Then turned on the music player. Elvis' Christmas album...
Mel started laughing.
+ Good heavens! - she shouted. Saw the woman start dancing with the ingredients in her hands, like in a disco.
It was a funny sight. A thin, feminine lady who was in her mid-60s starts dancing in the middle of the kitchen.
...
+ Mom put the Elvis record on again ... - Jack remarked in the living room and laughed.
…
Mel found a bag of cookie cutters in the drawer: snowman, Christmas tree, star ... and something else.
+ I'm not sure, but I don't think it's a Christmas cutter! - she laughed loud.
And she was holding a cutter depicting the shape of a man part in his hand.
+ Oh pardon! It was for a bachelorette party. - and Emily snatched it from her hand.
Cookies were already in the oven. Emily and Mel were still in a funny mood.
The old lady took a jug of eggnog out of the fridge and filled a glass with it for herself.
+ I would ask if you would ask for a glass Darling, but in your condition, it is forbidden.
+ Yes, it's true. - she smiled.
Then suddenly her face turned white.
+ How.. how do you know? - she asked in shock.
Emily pulled her closer. Put her hand on Mel's belly.
+ You're beautiful, Darling! Jack is very lucky ... But it's not just you who love brownie... Your belly looks lovely! - and stroked her belly.
She put her arms around Mel, hugged her.
+ I'm so happy for you! - she whispered. You are the best thing in my son's life and I will be grateful to you forever! I love you so much and Sam too. We are glad you are part of our family. - and kissed her on the cheek.
…
The tree was finished. It was stunning!
+ Nice job, son! – noticed Sam.
+ Thanks dad! – he replied.
Mel took some cookies into the living room and stayed with Sam. Jack and his mother had a conversation… She stroked his head and kissed him.
+ I am so happy for you Jack! – sighed. She is the Jackpot!
+ I know, mom! I am the luckiest man. – and smiled at her…
CHRISTMAS EVE
The girls and the rest of the family also arrived. The living room was huge. It was big enough for the whole family.
The fire was burning in the fireplace and the tree was surrounded by presents. Colored boxes: blue, white, polka dot, striped, checkered...
The family was chatting about old stories.
Jack helped his mother set the table. The dining room was also enormous and wonderful ... Everything was normal except one thing. There was a new table in the room. Huge wooden one with 24 chairs. Jack made it, specifically for this occasion. He loved carpentry and made beautiful things.
Suddenly the bell rang.
+ More relatives? - asked Mel.
Jack opened the door!
+ We don't buy anything, thank you! - and began to laugh.
He held a blond-haired woman in his arms and laughed. It was Joey and his family.
+ I think the reinforcements have arrived! - he shouted in.
Mel suddenly got up from the couch and ran to her sister.
She was very touched. Knew it was Jack's plan. That they say Joey can't be with her sister at Christmas time... and Jack's parents were involved too.
IN THE EVENING
Dinner was wonderful! Meats: turkey, goose. Fish: salmon and sturgeon. Garnish: salad, potatoes, roasted brussels sprouts... The dessert was also plentiful. Brownie, gingerbread, hazelnut cream cake, sponge cake…
Everyone went back to the living room. It was time for gifts ...
+ The brownie was very delicious, as always. - said Mel.
+ Yes! Sure, but we couldn't even taste it. - Jack declared and winked at her.
Mel became sad. The hormones ... and tears appeard in her eyes.
+ I'm so sorry! - cried.
Jack squatted immediately next to her legs. He grabbed her face.
+ Hey! Honey! I was just kidding! - he wiped away her tears.
Everyone was watching them. Jack was like a husband in love.
+ I shouldn't have eaten all of them! - she replied.
+ Come on Mel! It's just cake! - Brie comforted. No worries! We don't like brownie anyway. Mom always failes it. - Brie laughed.
Jack kissed his wife and smiled at her.
+ Would anyone explain what's going on? - Donna laughed.
Jack looked at his wife passionately.
It's time...
+ I'm sorry.. you know ... hormones ...
+ Are you menstruating too? . Mary asked. Me too! - laughed. We will be the cycle sisters! - she chuckled.
Everyone started laughing.
+ Uhmm. No! It's been late for months. Sorry... - smirked.
There was silence.
Mel looked around and smiled. Jack was still squatting in front of her and holding his wife's hand.
+ We are going to have a baby.
Woooow. Wooow... - everyone...
Joey started to weep. Hurried over to her sis and hugged them both.
+ I'm so happy for you. I'm proud of you! - and kissed her head.
There are two gifts left.
Sam handed Jack a small box.
+ This is from us. - he said softly.
It was a baby dress.
+ You wore this when we brought you home from the hospital. - Sam said and his voice trailed off. We kept it to pass it on to your son ... or your daughter one day. - and tears welled up in Sam's eyes.
Jack was touched. His eyes turned red because of tears. He hugged his parents, and so did Mel.
...
The last gift ...
Jack was holding a red box in his hand.
+ But I've already received my gift! - she sighed. A piece of you ...
+ Yucks. This is gross! - Brie laughed.
+ It's for both of you! Jack looked at Mel and Joey.
It was a videotape.
Security cameras. That was the title.
Jack put the VHS in the player.
It was a theater hall. A man stood on the stage, and behind him people painted the set.
Mel knew immediately what it was. Their parents... Two kids appeared on stage. Mel and Joey as children.
Both women began to cry.
+ It's ... perfect. - Mel whispered.
+ Thank you Jack! - Joey hugged him.
AT NIGHT
Sam brought something out and handed it to Jack. It was a black acoustic guitar.
Mel knew Jack loved to play guitar, but she hadn't heard him yet.
Jack sat in a chair by the fireplace. Christmas songs ... - everyone sang a song. Slightly false sounds, slightly nice sounds.
Mel was the last one...
"Sing we now of Christmas
Noël, sing we here!
Hear our grateful praises
To the babe so dear
Sing we Noël, the King is born, Noël!
Sing we now of Christmas, sing we now Noël!...
Her voice was angelic. Jack flashed his white dentures. He felt happiness. Her wife always amazed him… and he loved her exactly because of that… He kept playing.
Angels called to shepherds
"Leave your flocks at rest
Journey forth to Bethlehem
Find the lambkin blest."
Sing we Noël, the King is born, Noël!
Sing we now of Christmas, sing we now Noël!...
In Bethlehem they found him
Joseph and Mary mild
Seated by the manger
Watching the holy child
Sing we Noël, the King is born, Noël!
Sing we now of Christmas, sing we now Noël!...
From the eastern country
Came the kings afar
Bearing gifts to Bethlehem
Guided by a star
Sing we Noël, the King is born, Noël!
Sing we now of Christmas, sing we now Noël!...
Gold and myrrh they took there
Gifts of greatest price
There was ne'er a place on earth
So like paradise
Sing we Noël, the King is born, Noël!
Sing we now of Christmas, sing we now Noël!..."
…
Everyone went home. Jack and Mel were in the bedroom.
Mel was sitting on the edge of the bed and her husband was squatting in front of her.
+ You both are the most beautiful gifts in the world.
He took his wife's hand and pulled her up off the bed.
He started humming and asked her to dance with him.
+ Perfect moment with the perfect partner. - said the woman and kissed her husband.
Merry Christmas for everyone!
