Far away from Wayne Manor... (Over Gotham Tower)
A legion rose their patience for a long while. They awaited for Superwoman's return, no degree of appearance had occurred the Woman of Steel. They watched in direction Superwoman left off in.
Mick rotated to Snart's side. "How long is red cape trousers gonna waste our time?", Mick questioned.
"As long as it takes old friend. As long as it takes", said Snart.
While Mick and Snart are talking, in Mon-El and Karen-El's point, they exchanged glances, about to talk.
"I'm surprised the Kryptonian woman has no problem having us join in her team", said Mon-El. "Kryptonians despise Daxamites due to them not generally getting along. Differences reside on their traits".
"We should be proud the Kryptonian is permitting us to join in her team. If we were to encounter any member of the Kryptonian council, they'd brush us off", said Karen-El.
Spartan, Overwatch, Mr. Terrific, Wild Dog, and the Hood gather in one small grouped, intending to maintain their volume of conversation within the original founded team set by the Hood.
"I assume that all our strategies and coordinated plot of attack is remembered", Hood regarded.
"Yes Hoss. No issue around there", said Wild Dog.
Hood swirls to Overwatch's side. "Felicity?", he called, getting the said name's attention. "Have you predicted where the warfare is happening in?".
Overwatch pressed her eyesight on her pad. "No", Felicity said. "I'm still still working on it-". She instantly cut herself off. "Gosh, the connection is very weak in Gotham".
"Get used to it", the Hood advised, motion on forward, passing Wild Dog and Mr. Terrific. He reached the ledge of Gotham Tower, subsequent to kneeling with a leg down. "Superwoman like enough is going to spend a whole of it". He slightly turned back, looking at his founded team of Star City. "Whilst she is preoccupied, you can use this time to come up with a plan, in case Batman is still giving a no to joining our whole team".
Felicity nodded, going back to her work.
Elongated Man, Kid Flash and Flash intertwine, keeping their mouths subjected on something important.
"Do you really want to leave the nation to travel towards New Themyscira? A place where you will never come back from", said Kid Flash.
"I am confident, and 100% admitted to putting work in battling against these monstrous tyrants", Flash retorted.
"Then so are we", Elongated man addressed, glancing at Kid Flash, whom delivered an approval.
Wayne Manor
In the Batcave, Batman and Superwoman followed on route to where Batman is heading to.
Batman's eyes directing towards a vehicle concealed by a large cloth. He swings his legs forward, propelling towards the target. He is aware of Kara being behind her, and why she is still here.
"Dr. Wayne", Superwoman called, attempting to stop him as Thomas removed the kryptonite spear out of the picture.
Batman isn't concerned in putting his ears out in listening to Kara's voice. He carried on, walking. "I've got important things to do than to deal with the likes of you and your suicide squad", Batman remarked.
"This is about the fate of the planet on our hands", said Kara, following Batman's tracks.
Batman whirled around, facing Kara. "On your hands", he corrected, swirling back to his focused direction. He advanced up, walking his way onwards.
Superwoman lightly jogged, reaching up to Batman's point. Flinging her legs on forward, she followed on Batman's tail. After seconds of outstretching to his side, Kara stopped, shining herself a reminder that will in what is to be hoped that Thomas will realise his action. "Does Bruce mean anything to you?", Kara upheaved, triggering Batman to stop.
"My son?", Batman exclaimed, while trying to detain his tears. "That name will always haunt me for the rest of my life. Death won't ease it well. Not that it ever will. Too many demons and criminals cowardly lurking around in this shallow bloody depth city".
Kara's smirk was caused of this second, instantly familiarising it with someone from before. "My Bruce used to have the same feeling every time when he became what you've become before", she said.
Batman turned to Kara's side, with a spaced segment from not seeing her entirely. Thomas' expression changed into a shape of indicating he inquires information. "Bruce has become what?", he exclaimed.
"Someone like you, a less brutal version of you", Kara answered. She extended to have this thoughts caught straight to taking it out. "We can bring it back, Dr. Wayne. We have a chance at ending it. Ending the war between the Atlanteans and the Amazons. And then putting everything back in set: even bringing Bruce alive".
"Delusional", Batman commented, not bought in his belief over Kara's over-sense of thinking everything can be done in the blink of laying things set from the first attempt.
"We can save the world them, save your son. Because I have something that will hopefully set the stage right for us to return back to the timeline I keep trying to explain to you", Kara retorted.
Batman's sight sharpened, concentrated in a full-out catch on Superwoman. "I'm listening", he addressed.
"This", Kara lifts her hand, displaying in front of Thomas the fragment that dropped out from Kara's suit.
"A rock?", Batman exclaimed. "Buy me into your humour. Really don't care".
"This is no humour, Dr. Wayne. This is chance. A chance in which we can finally reshape this whole reality back to normal", said Kara. Her eyes resided on grasping in the piece. "This is a part fractured from a Kryptonian tech known as Timan-El".
"Timan-El?", Batman inquired to know what the term is.
"Its device helps to change events incorporated in the whole timeline, thus creating a new timeline with those replaced altered events. If you help me receive all the pieces to put together the device, I may be able to help restore everything that shouldn't exist", Kara explained.
Thomas went to his left hand side, directing himself steps thrusted on. On the final steps he crossed, he closes his movement, trying to give himself space to engage with the inquired fact. He couldn't believe his son, from another timeline, is following in the same dark steps he is in. And he couldn't believe he was in an altered timeline. He stopped, placed himself upright position. His eyes are directed at his front. He had a sudden thought of something very important that he wanted to know about the timeline Kara is referring to. "My son, is he-?".
"Bruce is alive, Dr. Wayne. He is Batman", Kara explained, cutting off Thomas' utterance.
Batman twirled around, again meeting Superwoman's eyes. "If I were to help you, then you need to help me something in exchange. If you want me to join in your suicide squad", Thomas deemed, forcing Superwoman to broaden her ears, to tune in discerning Batman's words.
Glasshouse
A Batmobile vrooms in speed, racing along the road. It discerned at one point, rolling to the next turn, reaching its destination, with a loud cracking sound perching at a spot in front of a building.
The cockpit reveals itself, drawing a room for Batman to leap out. His jump touches on a point far less of reaching on the place's rooftop. Batman alights on the ground, after a short float in the air. He raised his face up, staring at the place, whom brought memories in Thomas' mind. He clenched his eyes, recollecting a pack of memories he dearly held for the woman she still loved.
He turned to his left, discerning Superwoman landed at his side.
Superwoman swiftly analyses the whole Glasshouse, disbelieved that Thomas' wife is in here. "In my world, the Joker would never condemn himself in the outskirts of Gotham City, just to live peaceful fantasy world, just to satisfy himself of peacefulness", Kara descripted.
Batman moved on forward, direction laid in the entrance of the place. "That's probably because your Joker is a shrimp, plastered in a white skin tone. A wag dressed in silly clothes to be hilarious and comedic, who's indulged on pressing his life down on a thin line", Thomas surmised.
"That thin line is your son", Kara reveals, stopping herself in pace, as well as Thomas did when he heard it. "An arch-nemesis so grossly addicted to him".
Batman shaped a scowl, pissed, messy look at Kara, disgusted at hearing it. He resumed to move on forward, with his eyes concentrated at the entrance.
Thomas and Kara entered the doorway, coming inside a room. The duo are steadied in their sights locked on their surroundings. They hear the air moaning around them as if this place's domain had succumbed to its inner darkness.
Batman carefully paced forward in a slow movement, carrying his legs thrown to the next room. He held a piece out from his utility belt, which speedily caught Kara's awareness, whilst the latter used her x-ray vision to beam on the the deeper distances of rooms they haven't stumbled on.
"What's that?", Kara questioned.
"A special shard I'd be forced to use if a time would ever occur when Martha would outburst overboard", Batman remarked, looking down at the source that is spreading its red light around it.
Kara uses her x-ray vision, observing on this source's origins, structure, effects and exposures. "Looking through from my x-ray vision, this shard doesn't appear to be from Earth. It's definitely not from Krypton", said Kara.
"Not everything is about Krypton or your people. Now shut it before she finds out we are here", said Batman, swirling back his focus in moving to the next room. He advanced his run along the straight point, directing his body forward. He rotated his face to his right, seeing torn cushions and furniture, perceived because of the flashlight he wielded, prior to his appearance in an old place. He then looked at his left side, seizing his eyesight on a puddle of red liquid. It caused Batman to pause. He promptly flipped his legs rammed on the route on outstretching to the near spot. He stopped, kneeling down. Thomas whirled around, facing Kara, whom came in right time to come to his side. "Would you look at that".
Kara grew her unwavering, blunt look, looking down at what Batman wanted her to see. "Blood", she exclaimed.
"Not just blood exhibited from here. Look sharply at it", Batman appointed Kara to view at the red glittering aspects displayed as the layer touched in the blood.
Kara wringed her eyes, uncertain of the aspect Batman is showing to her. "Why is it glittering?", she asked, not aware of blood left to contain the red glints flowing over it.
"This is a corrupted version of the standard Mana Anadoites use", Batman explained.
Kara picks his head up, eyeing at Batman with a confused, mussy look. Her attention was shaken at a strange burst that shoved Superwoman forward. Her body winged on a straight line, crashing on a disordered table, instantly breaking it apart.
Batman, having noticed Superwoman thrown past his way, twirled to confront the unknown attacker. He realised it as soon as his eyes widened. He perceived a figure totally toned in entire colour of white. Blood railed on the sides of its mouth, pasted on the cheek. She wore a messy outfit, consisted of mostly blood stained around the fabric.
"Martha?", Batman exclaimed.
"You shouldn't have come back Tommy", Martha expressed, elevating her arm aimed at Batman. Her hand veiled in a smog of dark purple colour.
Batman made one step on. "You kidnapped Judge Dent's two kids. That's why I was forced to come back", he shot point.
This sets off Martha's laughter to appear, much to Thomas' annoyance over it. Her risen laugh extended its period farther above the normal timed point everyone would stop at. "Tommy. You're hurting me in such a great amount", Martha remarked, causing Batman to uplift an eyebrow behind his mask. "Admit you could've killed Dent any time you wanted. You're superior to him in everyway, yet you choose to punish the criminals. What fun will that be, lest you throw you shell down, take a snack, and enjoy sticking knives on everyone's torsos".
"Now is not the time to patronise me of what I'm capable of", he warned, although he tried to keep his bravery highly above. His comprehension feeds he has no route on beating Martha.
"I think this is really the time", Martha shot back, getting bigger in her emotions. "You let me fall Tommy. You thought putting me under extreme therapy, rehab and all other stupid shit would make it better. The grin of a joker lies behind my back, I can never control myself". Martha then heard a rising voice, distances away from her, and even Batman, the latter whom twirled at the direction of the voice's origin.
"Not anything I'd have to say about it, except suggesting you need to be stopped", Kara addressed, readying her position in a form of charge. She flew herself off, pierced on Martha's point. She already passed Batman, whom noted it. Kara prepared a left arm stretching to her gaping left. She threw it forward, intent in softly striking Martha's head. Instead, Kara receives an outburst of pain from her right hip, which made Kara throw herself to the direction of her left end. Her body was pulled to slam on the glass, instantly shattering it, forcing Superwoman to roll over a few turns. To that final turn, she stopped, keeping her eyes locked in frightening terror at Martha, whom distinctively and evilly smiled at her. Kara revolved her face down at the burnt patch that brought about Kara's launch off course. "What the-?".
"Kryptonians are vulnerable to magic, aren't they?", Martha raised the question, in addition to displaying a knowing-expression.
Kara look at Martha, astounded of the latter's abilities. "Martha has... powers?", she murmured. If there was on thing to show her vision isn't toying with her, it's know what Martha's offspring having to retain its heritages from her. "How...? How is this possible?". Her voice was low and covered with the waste tips of her sweat. She motioned her eyes back up on staring Martha.
In Batman's position, he was calm and neutral over Kara's reaction, although stunned his wife would pick a time like this to throw the Kryptonian off. He wrapped his eyes down at Kara, whom is stationary ascribed of herself kneeled. He rotated the staring to Martha, whom newly rotated to centrally grasp the figure of a bat-man in her picture.
Martha's hand targeted at Thomas, centring at his chest. "You always do have to be the type to work with pathetic migrants and weaklings. I myself am a powerful entity beyond the face of this world. And there's nothing this world's greatest champion can do about it. Not even you, Tommy", said Martha, seconds subsequently crying in the face of laughter drawn out of his mouth, roaring at every direction. The impulse of it shook everything.
Additionally, Thomas and Kara felt it.
In spite of Kara, having absorbed the sun for so many years, even she can detect the sensation breaking her like any other human. Vibrations playing with her body. Kara pulled herself up, seconds transitioned for her to plummet down. The hysterics, originated from Martha, multiplied more times the fold. This outstretching effect pierced on Kara's ears, forcing the latter to cover her ears. She crossed her legs, she enclosed her arms, touched on sheeting on two opposite sides of her head.
Martha finally stopped laughing. She revolved her focus to Kara's end.
Superwoman laid at the near end of falling out of consciousness. She is severely feeble. Less energised to let a hand mark on standing upright.
Martha lifted a hand, directed at target on Superwoman. Her hand glows, displaying its faint purple dazzle.
Batman noted Martha was ready to fire an attack. Apart of him tried to compel him to intercept the attack either through talking sense out of Martha or knock her out with a fierce blow using his saved trump card specialised to neutralise Martha. The other part rather refrained from interfering with Martha's attack. He had half a minute to think it to himself. A collection of facts presented from Superwoman, when she arrived in Wayne Manor. The facts about Bruce being alive, and being something to serve for the greater good. He knew one way would calm a dangerous being down. He knew it within his mind. He knows he needs to help Kara. He may not know how, but some fragment believe there is a chance that Bruce will be revived. He elevates his head, illuminating his sight at Martha.
Martha had already started gusting a few pounces on Kara's torso, shifting her backwards in every heft blow Martha materialises at the palm of her hands. She threw another array of blasts, bursting a hefty amount of hits on Superwoman, rolling her further. "You all turned me into this. Left me in the asylum to breathe in hell", Martha remarked, soon in a slow pace to rotate to Thomas' side. "You are the main failure, old man. Want to know what a failure you are on?". She continued blasting Kara with her red scorches.
"I do", Batman softly retorted. He then swings his legs forward, reaching in direction to Martha's side.
Martha heavily cried a laugh, amused of Batman thinking he knows everything. "Liar!", she said, lifting her remaining hand, aimed at Batman.
Batman discerned Martha flinging a radiating blast straight at him. He somersaulted to his left, dodging Martha's attack. He soon regained his balance with one knee down.
"You're just too angry and self-aware to realise it. Too broken; like me", said Martha. Her hand is secured at aiming Batman. Her palm seconds then grew its red light. Subsequently, Martha released the blast at Batman.
"Wrong!", Martha shouted.
Batman dragged his feet to his right, avoiding another hit from Martha. He regrew his stance, firmly fixed, gazing at his broken wife. "All the blood in my hands hasn't changed a thing-", Batman was cut off at the second that Martha propelled a blast, forcing the Dark Knight to bend down to his knees. He swiftly lifted himself upright.
"It's changed you!", Martha yelled at him. "Being a hopeless romantic, when we were falling, I thought you might land on top. For old time's sake".
Batman tosses a batarang at Martha's eyes. The latter elevated her hand levelled up at the batarang. She flows a destructive wave, instantly destroying the batarang. The batarang's destruction unleashed a smoke spreading on Martha's eyes, briefly blinding her.
"Old times?", Batman questioned on.
Martha flapped her hands, trying to remove the smoke off her eyesight. She didn't notice Batman swept behind her.
"You want to go there?!", Batman shouted at, placing his strong gripped hands on Martha's shoulders, and driving her in a spin for Martha to face him.
Martha gave a cold aspect, drained of her love for him. "What I want is a world where you don't exist! Where we never encountered on another when that stupid bot seized me, condemned me from my home planet", she expressed, causing her body, attached with Batman, to glow.
"Really?", he exclaimed. "Even if that means you don't exist, either? This side of you that shined your glimmering face at me, showed me how easily I can get through issues I've had to sap in a tug of war. Is this what you want? Those old times, where we formed from the time when he had this connection unlike anything I encountered before".
"We are all dead! You! Me! Everyone in this world!", said Martha.
Batman's grip on Martha became harder, and making her shake. "A man and a woman and their only son cut through an alley after the movies", he addressed.
"Shut up!", she retorted.
"They get mugged", Thomas added, closing his face to Martha.
"Shut up!", Martha yells at midpoint of her volume of her voice. Her eyes' fully turn red, replacing his dark, gloomy eyes.
"Two shots are fired", Thomas added again.
Martha's eyes transitioned from her glowing red eyes into a deeper crimson toned vibrant colour. "Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!", she shouted at an intense level, crying it out. She tried to back away. She couldn't. She is stuck under Batman's' strong fingers fastened on her shoulders. Her faced motioned at facing at her top, forced to look up. "NOOOOOOOOOO!".
"The man and woman fall dead. Their son lives", said Thomas. "I have the opportunity to make that real. To re-write. To erase this history".
Martha's tug became weaker at hearing Thomas' voice and his truth.
"And as twisted as it sounds, I need to know from you Martha. After all, I came through thick and heavy pain-slack to see you", said Batman. "Should I?".
Martha's cracking anger reduced critically when she discerned the question Batman gave her. This question Thomas gave to Martha made the latter think of it as reminiscent of the time when Thomas had sought for Martha's words so many years ago. Her glowing crimson eyes turned into calm pink glowing eyes, prior to finally transitioning to her standard, glimmering bright eyes. Her head is downed for a short moment. She then went to focus Thomas by the face. Her focus also came to thinking on Thomas' recent question. "Promise me, Thomas, you will".
Batman's lips weakly favoured a smile. "I will", he vowed, enclosing a hand on his wife's cheek.
Those two faces intertwined at a locked link. Nothing weighing them down, the duo pressed their lips in exchange. After a long minute of keeping themselves sticking, their lips parted off, with Martha's hand supporting it by touching on Thomas' face.
"Tell me about Bruce. What does he do after, after we're dead?", Martha eagerly asked.
"He...", Batman tried starting. He registered Martha swirling her body around, to face at the opposite direction. "He follows in his father's footsteps".
"He's a soldier?", Martha questioned, turning to Thomas with a tearful expression. Her curiosity became higher.
"No", Thomas replied.
Martha's eye widened, realising what Thomas is referring. "Oh no", Martha exclaimed, exhaling a short burst of breath. She can comprehend it easily of what her son would be: a hero, whereas Martha would be the villain lurking in Gotham City. She realised that the way she demonstrated through Bruce's legacy was too evil that not Bruce would've accounted it as his inner pleasure of destroying things he'd come across. She realised herself and her son aren't the same, similar to herself not being the same as her husband. Martha's head remained low, whilst been seen by Batman. Martha's whole body then started radiating pink heat veiled all over her body, replacing the white skin and her filthy clothes with nothing easily to be catch by the naked eye. Martha's body began transforming, becoming thinner and skinnier as if of being shaped in a female's naked body, but less displayed of that way. She was tanned in purple, with purple lines struck as curves along the sides legs, hips, arms, and the head, all the way.
Kara had finally became successful in recovering from the tremendous beats she was presented from Martha. Her head rose up, pressing her sighting towards the pink light that's outstretching its illumination further. She was briefly stunned, but she immediately dropped it out. Using her x-ray vision, Kara scanned at whatever was occurring, peeking through the light, soon perceiving a man in a bat suit, standing in front of a woman in seemingly structured naked body form. Her hair is split in several
tentacle-arms flowing at her back side.
The light eventually dissipates, lessening the illumination.
Batman's eyes kept sharp focus at the familiar form of his wife. A form he hadn't seen for a very long time.
Martha was levitating, though at levels with Thomas.
Kara dragged herself back to standing up. She advanced on forward in a slow movement, trying to reach up to Martha and Batman's point. After a few long slow steps, Kara reached the duo's point. "What is that?", Kara asked.
"Her Anodite form. Her true form", Batman answered.
Hearing Martha's true form looking like that, Kara's bolt of blue laid in. She tries to relinquish it, but her reaction overwhelmed her control.
Martha, in her Anodite form, gazed at Thomas, as well as the latter gazing, equally.
"Where will you go?", Thomas asked.
Martha turned her eyes at the skies. Her sighting almost had a glimpse of seeing a small boy pictured as running with a cry of joy. The boy she failed on. "As far away from here as it is needs to be. Far from Earth. This planet no longer has any meaning for me. I destroyed it all. I failed my son at that alley. I could've saved him, but I didn't want him to discover my powers, in case he'd ever see me as a monster or a barbarian", Martha explained, closing her eyes, as tears drop out of her.
Kara widened her eyes, noting what she had learnt from Martha, which brought about millions of questions. That batch of questions would never come in due time. Kara can't disturb her, let alone a being that almost dragged her down to the brink of death. Her main question is what would have occurred had Martha chosen to use her Anodite powers to save her family, what would've happened to Bruce. She wouldn't begin to comprehend what would happen in a world where there is no Batman. Is there ever going to be the existence of the Justice League.
Thomas placed his hand on Martha's hand, comforting the latter of her decision. "Then go", he permitted, much to Martha's surprise. "When the time comes, you'll know where to find me".
Martha took one glance at Thomas, seeing a familiar glimpse of aura she remembered seeing plenty times prior to the heavy tragedy herself and Thomas had witnessed.
In spite of that pain, Thomas unmovably upholds his tendency to have love and feelings for her.
In the end, Martha nodded, straight away pulling her body upwards.
Kara and Thomas watched as Martha flew upwards, exiting the Glasshouse's rooftop. They carried on watching, grasping on seeing Martha drifting further passing the skies. She flew higher and higher. To a moment, Batman and Superwoman no longer seizes Martha's presence before their eyes.
Kara rotated to Batman's side, having a plain thought of resurfacing their unfinished business. "So... about our talk of recruitment, are you still choosing not-?", Kara's complete question didn't occur because she heard a voice.
"I'm joining your team", Batman addresses, which caused Kara to entirely keep her central line at him. Batman whirled around, heaving his target an exit door.
Kara simply stared at him, seeing him walk away, presumed to be heading straight to the Batmobile. She then turned to the top, reflecting on a memory of something that brought to the same circumstance as the Bruce, from her timeline, had suffered in. The same tragedy will never fade away. It was always within her head. The feeling of losing everything, Kara was taught of it. It was thanks to Bruce, Kara had a purpose. Now Batman, of this timeline, has finally partaken in her team to prevent a deadly war.
