It wasn't long before they had returned to Toad Town that they set out the Sunny into the waters as they set sail to scour the seas as they worked to follow the Purple Streamer.
"Wow...this streamer is definitely going all over the seas." Luffy said.
"Yeah..huh? Hey park the ship near that island. I think I saw Luigi on it." Usopp said.
The group did so, finding Luigi outside of an abandoned house. "Come on. Open." Luigi said.
"Luigi? What's going on?" David asked. "Still looking for that key?"
"Yes. And I was hoping there may be one in here but no ones' even opened the door." Luigi said.
"Hmm…" Jexi said before kicking the door open. "Look, it just opened."
"This is a serious invasion of...whoa…" Aelita said as they saw most of everything inside the house was made of origami besides a few robes lying around and several pictures.
"Whoa… This place looks nice. I think I may have a good idea who all of this belongs to…" Mayumi said. "Litmus? You in here?"
"Not sure if he's in but the house definitely belongs to him." Lucy said looking at a picture of Litmus in his childhood with a few other children as they stood with an elder gentleman outside of an old house with an origami crane in front of it.
"Those pictures must be from Litmus's childhood. And from the looks of things… Paper art must've' been his whole life." Bow said.
"I know this place. It's called the House of Paper. It's a school for teaching others how to use paper in art." Lan said. "I read about it for a job once."
"Looks like he attended the place as a kid." Scorpia said. "He looks pretty cute too. Huh… wonder if Aimi went there when she was young?"
"It's very unlikely. The school closed after the master was killed by a couple of thugs working for some artist who detested the works." Lan said.
"Besides, I already told you my story about Aimi, remember?" Mayumi asked.
"Hey, guys! I found a secret entrance!" Luigi called out as they went down to find a sort of workshop where on the table was a large origami castle.
"I...I know this place." Olivia said. "Oh joy...this was where I was folded!"
"Guys!" Natsu called out as they found an unconscious and weakened Litmus lying by the table.
"It's Litmus!" Hope said running over to him and sitting him up. "Quick, someone heal him!"
"Diarahan!" Scott said as he used Caesar to heal Litmus.
"Ugh…" Litmus groaned as he slowly awoke. "Where...am I?" he pondered.
"Daddy!" Olivia said hugging onto him.
"Olivia...but how is..I see...so Olly went and folded you. That makes sense." Litmus said before looking around. "You people...right...I remember. From Paris."
"It's great to see you again, Litmus. I wish it were under better circumstances though." Hope said.
"Better circumstances?" Litmus asked.
"Olly is trying to make the whole world an origami kingdom." Olivia said.
"No...I have to stop him." Litmus said getting up only to fall after a few feet.
"Easy, easy!" Hope said as he caught him. "Scott healed you, but you're still weak."
"You don't understand. I can't let him go down this path. I need to save my son!" Litmus said.
"Your son?" Adora asked. "Wait… then that must mean…"
"Litmus… you created Olly, didnt you?" Hope said.
"Yes...it is as you say. Olly only exists because I folded him into existence." Litmus said.
"I think you better explain yourself." Bakugo said.
"Very well." Litmus said. "It started weeks ago. I have been working nonstop on my piece for the Origami Festival...an origami castle. However...no matter how I made it, it would still feel incomplete. That's when I realized...I needed to make living origami. A king and a princess."
'But...we've seen you make living origami before. Like during the battle in Paris." Gohan said.
"The ones I make only live by being supported with my aura. Once the origami has taken a hit, it reverts back to normal paper. No...this one had to be different. So I used a forbidden art to give my creation life of its own not supported by me. Paper Style Forbidden Art: Fold of Life. With this technique...I gave life to Olly. However, it wasn't long after when he went against me. I could have easily handled him were it not for that woman joining in. The one with the fan." Litmus said.
"Aimi…" Mayumi said.
"The girl had entered my house while I was working. She had heard me and Olly fighting and she sided with him after he told her something. Nonetheless...I was taken down rather easily." Litmus said. "I didn't wake till you all found me."
"Do you know why Olly would go against you and do any of this?" Glimmer asked.
"I honestly have no clue. I treated him with care. This sort of behavior was something I never expected." Litmus said.
Mayumi looked at the origami swan in her pocket. "Whatever his reason may be, it doesn't change the fact that he and Ai are putting people through meaningless suffering. We have to get them both to see reason, that they shouldn't close down their hearts because of one view."
"Well said, Mayumi." Hope said. "Litmus, you just leave Olly and Aimi to us. We're seeking to clear the final two streamers blocking the path to them so we can face them directly."
"No...you will not handle this alone." Litmus growled. "Olly is my creation. He is my responsibility. Origami is life. The ones who make origami must take responsibility for their own creations no matter how they turn out!"
"Sorry, Hope. But there's no way you're winning this one. He's coming with us whether we turn him down or not." Mayumi said.
"Yeah, I figured that would be the case." Hope said. "But I don't really see the problem. I understand what Litmus is saying, and I won't stop him from coming along with us."
"And hearing this...has doubled my efforts! I'm off...on my quest for Peach's key!" Luigi said as he ran off.
"Come on, everyone. Now that we know the truth of the matter, we can't afford to leave things as they are either. We have to keep going." Mayumi said.
The group, with Litmus now joining them, headed back out to sea.
"Alright, we need to focus on taking down the purple streamer. The only problem is, it goes straight into the Sea underwater." Glimmer said.
"No...it goes to that tower." Nami said, pointing to the streamer rising out of the water and going up a tower.
"I know of that tower. Unfortunately, we will not enter it unless all four Vellumental powers are present." Litmus said.
"And the only one we're missing is Ice." Francisca said.
"Worry not...I know where its temple lies." Litmus said, marking the location on the chart. Upon reaching the location, they found themselves magically transported into a strange little place as they noticed a ramp heading up to a mountain of ice.
"No question...that has to be it." Gray said.
"Sure seems cold enough for an ice temple." Kokoro said.
"Take it from someone who lives in an Ice palace, you're definitely the Ice Vellumental if that's where you live." Frosta agreed. "Well then, let's go and see him."
The group then ventured through the Ice vellumental temple, not minding the cold.
"Hey, Litmus. There's something I've been wondering for a while, even more so when we saw the pictures in your house." Hope said. "How did you become a Color Fighter in the first place?"
"Yeah, does it have something to do with that House of Paper we saw you at as a kid?" Bow asked.
"There are some doors better left closed." Litmus said.
"I understand if you want to keep it a secret. Not all stories are lighthearted." David said.
"Agreed. Sorry for prying." Hope said.
"It's fine." Litmus said as they continued on as Litmus thought back to his past.
Flashback…
"Sir...I don't think I made it quite right." a younger Litmus said as he showed an origami flower.
"Hmm...the complexity...seems you did better than I expected. You are truly gifted. If you continue to have this level of skill, you may become one of the greats someday." a man said.
"Thank you." Litmus said before he and the students saw an artist wandering in.
"Well well...old man Kraft. I take it you thought about what we discussed?" he said.
"For the last time...I will not sell you this house for your so-called studio. Paper may not be as looked upon as other forms of art, but it is still an art form with some form of life." Kraft said.
"This is your last chance. Can't be held responsible if something befalls you." he said.
"My answer is no." Kraft said.
"Fine...but you'll regret that choice." he said as he left.
A few days later…
Litmus and a few other students looked on at the body of their former master as his body was being buried. While most of the students looked on in sadness, Litmus on the other hand was filled with a very different emotion...rage. He looked at his flower, now stained red with blood as he marched off.
At a studio far off from the house…
"Hahaha. I can't believe how easy it was to get rid of that fossil." the artist said. "Pretty soon, those brats will come crawling over to me and handing over that house."
"So...was it truly you?" Litmus asked as he stood at the doorway.
"Oh...just one of his brats. Yeah...I killed him. Let's face it. Paper and origami and all that other junk are just too old fashioned. Paintings and sculptures are the future." the artist laughed.
"Take it back...take it back right now." Litmus growled as he held some paper.
"Why should I? I'm only speaking the truth. Just as how you're going to be joining your master real soon." the artist said grabbing a letter opener from his desk.
"Take it back….NOW!" Litmus called out in anger as the paper he held folded itself into a sword as he ended up slashing the artist's throat.
"Gah...Ah...ah…" he gasped before falling to the ground dead.
Litmus looked in shock at what he had done before a voice spoke.
"So...you are one of Kraft's students." a voice said as Litmus turned around to see Rain Bow standing at the door. "Seems he decided to pass it onto you."
"What are you talking about?" Litmus asked.
"If you come with me...we can both ensure that his legacy will not be squandered." Rain Bow said as Litmus took his hand.
End Flashback
As Litmus finished looking back, the group soon arrived at the chamber where a large origami polar bear stood there sleeping.
"Much like a regular polar bear. It looks like he's hibernating." David said.
"We just need to wake him up and take him down then." Frosta said.
"Whoa, slow down, Frosta." Hope said. "You can't just go up to a bear and attack it in its sleep."
"Why?" Frosta said.
Mermista groaned. "Do you WANT to be mauled by a cranky polar bear that can control ice?"
"Oh, good point." Frosta said.
"Okay...so...let's fight it straight away then!" Natsu said as he went and punched the Ice Vellumental, forcing it wide awake.
"Well, he's awake now. But I think Natsu has the right idea." Leopardmon said.
"Yeah. End it quickly with everything we've got!" Flamberge said drawing her sword and launching flaming slashes at the Ice Vellumental, greatly damaging it.
"Alright then!" Moltar agreed as he charged up his attack. "Molten Geyser!" he called as a blast of lava came from above and splattered onto the Ice Vellumental, burying it under the molten rock.
"Now...let's end this." Todoroki said. "Flashfreeze Heatwave!" he called out as the air heated up before a blast of fire hit the Ice Vellumental dead on. Once the dust had settled, floating in its place was its Bibliofold.
"This is it...the last Bibliofold." Olivia said as she studied it.
"Then it is done. We have all four Vellumentals. We are free to enter the tower now." Litmus said.
"Then off we go." Adora said as they headed off.
"Olly...I know you are not a bad person. But part of me cannot help but wonder...why did you decide to do this?" Litmus pondered as they headed off.
