I didn't think I'd be adding another random one-shot to this collection, but here we are. I remember someone requesting more post-marriage TxT fluff. So here's something hot off the heels of their wedding day. And yes, more Omega arc obsession because I'm like that. Though I lowkey think that's all Tecna's known for. Kinda sad, honestly.
I took an exert from Magix Virus for Timmy's dream sequence, just so you know.
Anyway...
Honeymoon Nightmares
As Timmy opened his eyes, he found that he was in the same icy prison cell that he had been in on his mission with the rest of the Winx, Brandon and Helia to rescue Tecna from the Omega Dimension. Finally he was able to get his bearings and take note of his surroundings. Not a second later, he realized the only reason he would be dreaming of this specific moment in the first place. He knew exactly what was about to happen, and just as expected, Tecna walked towards the cell in her Enchantix form. This was the very first time he had seen her in her Enchantix, and every time after, he felt as though he could weep.
Being the nerd of his squad of Specialists, being the anti-social workaholic that he was in his first year at Red Fountain, Timmy never would have guessed he'd get a girl. Never-mind someone so absolutely astonishing as he considered Tecna to be. He had pondered the possibility of a technology fairy being attracted to him, since they would share the same interests. Though he was too clumsy and nervous to speak to one, until he met Tecna. She was everything, and more.
Timmy could never forget the day they first met, in Black Mud Swamp. Tecna and her classmates were on their first field assignment, and Timmy and his squad had accidently allowed a troll that they were transporting to Magix to escape and total their aircraft. The team of both fairies and Specialists led a search for the troll, and came across a river that soon created a whirlpool in its center. When Timmy recalled the memory, he realized it was his first recollection of Tecna's selflessness. Even when Riven had been a cocky asshole throughout the entire mission, Tecna still jumped in to try to save him, only to be pulled in herself. It was Timmy, albeit with Bloom and Sky's help, who managed to pull both Tecna and Riven out of the murky waters. Funny how such a scenario would arise again.
Tecna risking her life to a swirling vortex for not just one, but countless innocents who would, may or may not be such kind people. Bloom and Sky assisting Timmy in saving Tecna when all hope seemed to be robbed from them, just in the nick of time. This time, however, Tecna would have surely died had Sky and Bloom been just a second later. The thought haunted Timmy, and that looming thought gave him the courage and devotion to get over his fear of displaying his affections for Tecna. His kisses were filled with passion, his embraces were tight, as though loosening it would cause her to fade away, and he never shied away from always telling her to be careful when going on missions where he couldn't accompany her.
He knew Tecna was strong and could hold her own, the Omega Dimension proved that, but he never wanted her to be put in a situation where she would have to be pushed to her limits of survival like that. Timmy believed Tecna was resilient, but even the strongest and most level-headed people had their thresholds. He was so scared that the Omega Dimension had broken Tecna's resolve, and left her changed forever, never to be the same. Luckily, that did not happen, and his extraordinary technology fairy only became stronger from the experience. How amazing was that?
But that didn't stop Timmy from worrying. It didn't show except for with his affections, but deep down inside of him, he was terrified. And this dream, the dream that he was in right now, exemplified exactly that. He stared wondrously at his girlfriend as she came into his field of vision, she looked so breathtaking in his eye that it was a cruel injustice to know that in just a few minutes, she would be murdered. He knew that what he was about to witness would haunt him for as long as he lived.
"Hey Timmy, are you okay?" Tecna asked him, placing her elegant, gloved hands on the freezing cold surface of the ice cell.
"Tecna!" He gasped in total disbelief, re-living the first moment when he saw just how stunning she looked. Oh how he wished he could wake up; the torture was killing him.
"Just give me a sec, I'll get you out of there." She reassured him as she raised her arm and was about to blast the ice cell open. Then, Timmy could see the convict creep up behind her from the corner of his eye. This was his greatest fear coming true, his beloved was going to be killed right in front of him, and there was nothing he could do.
"Watch out!" Timmy yelled. But in a split second, Tecna's wrists were tied with the convict's strings and she let out a cry of surprise.
"Try shooting your magic beams now!" The convict taunted her as he pulled the strings towards him roughly.
"You beast!" Tecna cried out, trying desperately to struggle free from her restraints. The hard surface of the ice must be scrapping her fair, delicate skin and leaving sharp, jagged debris in the open, bloody wounds that were formed. Timmy's heart sank as he felt Tecna's pain and fear within him.
"Let her go!" That was all Timmy could get out, but he knew that even attempting to demand anything of this ruthless criminal was futile. He continued to hear Tecna's groans as the convict continued to pull her forward. Then, once Tecna was in reach, the convict pulled out a dangerous sharp blade from his holster and raised it up in the air as she let out another fearful cry.
"Tecna!" Timmy couldn't bear to watch; he could only bang his fists against the ice to at least try to distract the criminal. Though, his efforts were completely ignored, and the blade came down with one final swoop, Timmy cried out his beloved's name one last time as an ear piecing scream of terror and agony surrounded him. Tears of heartache flooded his eyes as he was surrounded by darkness.
The ginger haired man, now in his late twenties, shot up from the bed in a cold sweat. He panted heavily and dared not open his hazel eyes, afraid of where he had woken up. As he began to slowly drift into consciousness, he was aware of the soft, down comforter that sprawled over him and his newly wed wife the night before. After a moment, he gathered enough consciousness to open his eyes. The darkness of the room gradually faded into the faint lights of the holographic television on the wall, and the white curtains only blocked a bit of the light from the city skyline. As Timmy began to slow his breathing, the events of the previous night and day before started to resurface. It was the most magical day of his young life, full of a magic more powerful than the purest fairy dust, his undying love for Tecna.
"Tecna!" Timmy thought, and didn't waste a second to turn to his left, only to see his treasure, his world, his everything, safe and peacefully sleeping beside him. There, placed effortless before her face, was her hand, and on the ring finger of that hand was the ring that Timmy had placed there not even twenty-four hours ago. Seeing just how real it was, that he had actually married the most beautiful, incredible fairy he had ever met, he let out a deep exhale. Then, without thinking, he began to wrap his arms around her and pull her into his lap, cradling the down comforter around her. With all the movement, Timmy was surprised Tecna didn't wake up.
She had been quite nerve wrecked about her big day from the very start, and Stella had planned everything to immaculate perfection, unknowingly placing that burden on the bride-to-be. But after all was said and done, the preparation, the gown fitting, the ceremony and the reception, Tecna relished in a quiet evening with her hubby. Knowing this, Timmy had a feeling that Tecna was just exhausted, too tired to be roused to alertness.
He was relieved that she was safe in his arms and not in a situation where any danger could find her. And looking down at his beautiful wife's face, her eyes deeply shut, he didn't see a single scratch. Not a wound, not a scrape, not even a papercut on her elegant fingers. He lifted the hand that had the wedding ring on her finger, and began kissing her fingers delicately as grateful tears began to prick his eyes.
"Tecna," He whispered ever so softly, not wanting to wake his beloved, "with this vow, I promise to fight alongside you. To protect you only when you need protecting, not a moment sooner. I promise that nothing will hurt you, and Great Dragon forbid, should anything happen to you, I will defend you with my life." Those were his wedding vows that he spoke at the alter the day before, and they had even more meaning after the nightmare he just endured. Not that they were any less genuine the first time, but now his heart yearned to repeat the sacred vow of his life. He couldn't sleep the rest of the night, and spent the next hour rocking his newlywed wife in his embrace and placing gentle kisses on her ring finger.
The next morning, Tecna had woken up blissfully unaware of Timmy's actions the previous night. All she could gather was that he had a nightmare and couldn't go back to sleep, because she saw that he was wide awake beside her when she opened her eyes. They were sitting across from each other at their honeymoon resort's breakfast diner, their table situated by a huge window overlooking the vast stretches of Zenith's capital city. As Tecna added milk and a teaspoon of sugar to her coffee, she stole glances at Timmy, who had barely touched his own. After taking a bite of her blueberry scone, the Zenith Guardian finally spoke up.
"Timmy, what's wrong?" She asked.
"Nothing Cupcake, I'm just so grateful that I can finally provide for you what you deserve. I already bought a house in this higher end neighborhood of the CyberTech district." He was trying to change the topic; he had secretly planned so much for them over the past months before their wedding and wanted to surprise her.
"But only employees of CyberTech Industries can live there." Tecna replied.
"Well," Timmy gave her one of his bright, yet cheesy grins which always made her giggle, "I sent in one of our projects we had been working on, and the CEO was absolutely floored. He said we could start in the invention department as soon as we were ready."
"Timmy, that's… CyberTech Industries is one of the leading companies in robotics innovation and AI evolution, and you managed to get us both jobs there!" Tecna couldn't hold back her disbelief, she was already famous for being Zenith's Guardian fairy and the savior of the Magical Dimension with her sacrifice, but now she and Timmy would be known for something they were truly gifted at, inventing.
"You got it, Cupcake." Timmy saw his wife's eyes light up with absolute giddiness as this news, and hopefully it would distract her from his distress.
'That's so wonderful." She continued, "But you sidestepped my question. Something's wrong, I can read you like source code." Timmy had to chuckle at the way she had her own way of using idioms.
"Okay, you got me." He admitted as his smile began to fade. Oh how he wished he could prevent a single hair on her head from being touched, but that was too unrealistic of a request, "I had a bad dream last night…, I dreamed about… our reunion in the Omega Dimension and the convict attack. I had to watch him stab you and there was nothing I could do to stop it." He averted his gaze from her, trying desperately not to let the tears return. They were threatening to prick the corners of his eyes again. Tecna immediately noticed this and got up from her chair to kneel next to him and placed a supportive hand on his shoulder.
"I love you, Timmy." She said, "And I am so happy you're able to give me the life you want to give me. I know that you want to give me the universe, I know that all you ask is for me to be safe."
"And now that we're married, I can rest easy knowing that I can spend the rest of my life with… my universe." He told her, "The next generation of Winx Club will be recruited by you and the girls in a month or so, and you can finally be at peace. Of course, if that is what you want?"
"Yes, Timmy." Tecna reassured him, "The girls and I will be getting too old to fight the evils of the Magic Dimension anymore. And I know that it will put your mind at ease to know I don't have to face imminent danger every day."
"Great Dragon, you can read me like source code." Timmy had to laugh, and his bright smile returned as he saw a smile on his beloved wife's face. And Tecna gave him a passionate kiss when she saw him smile. Now he know that his fears that had manifested into the nightmare would not come to fruition, and that he and Tecna would have a beautiful future together.
