One day when was talking to his mother when she looked him straight in the eyes and told him he needs friends because they will make his life better. Cole told himself one day he would find friends.
It was a big big world, but we thought we were bigger
Pushing each other to the limits, we were learning quicker
By eleven smoking herb and drinking burning liquor
Never rich so we were out to make that steady figure
Cole and his mother always pushed each other to be the best they could be. So when Cole started working in an apple orchard to make his family money he really did need her support and was always thankful for it.

After his mother passed away, Lou made sure to tell Cole that life is better if you have someone to love along the way and that he should get himself a wife when he was older.
I always had that dream like my daddy before me
So I started writing songs, I started writing stories

When cole was 16 he had that dream like his dad to become a performer but instead of singing and dancing, he wanted to do something else he just didn't know what at the time.

When Cole fought with the ninja he finally found the glory that he was looking for since he was 16. To be a ninja. So he started writing about his adventures with the other ninjas.
Soon we'll be thirty years old, our songs have been sold
We've traveled around the world and we're still roaming

Cole later wrote their adventures into a book when he later retired. He settled down with a girl and later married her.
I'm still learning about life
My woman brought children for me
So I can sing them all my songs
And I can tell them stories
Most of my boys are with me

When Cole heard that Jay was killed he was devastated and when he learned his wife was pregnant with a boy he asked her if they could call the baby Jay. To remember his old friend.

When Cole turned 60 he knew he wouldn't make it much longer. His dad was only 61 when he died. So it always made him so happy when his son Jay came to visit him because then he always thought about his old team and he told his son about his adventures with his friends and why he was named Jay.
