Lady Miss Fortune Chapter 10: "Plagg's Plan Part 2"

(HAIIIII, Puppy from the future here! *I mean, technically past Puppy because I'm writing this A/N before you read this, unless you're my beta reader* I just wanted to say that I already wrote this chapter at the same time as chapter nine buuut I wanted to wait a bit so everyone had time to review the last chap)

Spidermanladybug4eva: Oof yeah things aren't looking too good for the kwamis. Will they succeed? I dunno… guess you'll have to see for yourself... ^u^

Dranafile: Actually the chapter was longer than chapter one and was like 1,000 something words, but since some of the other chapters were more spaced out and had more dialogue, they look longer, lol.

BedwardFanForever: We'll see if the plan will work or not! ;)

Enjoy!

Plagg's fur spiked up in fear.

"What do you mean you're not coming?!"

Adrien shrugged, putting the letter on his desk, "It means I'm not coming."

"What?! But why?!" Plagg asked, groaning inwardly. If only his human had any sense. But let's face it, humans aren't exactly the smartest species. Oh well.

Or maybe, Adrien knew this was a set up.

"Because, I've known you forever, Plagg. And I know you well enough to tell that you're tricking me."

Yup. Wow.

Plagg forced his fur to lie flat, angling his ears toward the boy. Tikki had told him that Marinette was on her way to the designated location now, and surely she wouldn't wait long. If only one of them came, and they found out there really was no Master Fu, they could easily get even more upset- and become a perfect target for Hawk Moth's akumas.

"Listen, kid. Master Fu might be in danger. We have to go here."

"That's impossible. Master Fu-"

"-Lost his memory? Yeah, sure, but if he's figured a way to get it back, that could be news for all of us."

"Including her?" Adrien asked. Even though he hadn't said the name, Plagg knew exactly who he was talking about.

"This letter seems to be addressed to you, so it's not a generic letter. Ladybug might not even be involved in any of this." Plagg pointed out.

"But-"

"But what?!"

If Adrien wasn't going to do this the easy way, then he'd have to do it the hard way. And what better way to convince Adrien to do something, than to make him feel guilty?

"Are you going to just let Master Fu figure this out on his own?! He said it was urgent! And you're not going to help him, because what, you're too scared of facing your ex?!" Plagg's eyes glittered with amusement at the priceless look on Adrien's face.

"She and I were never a thing in the first place." Adrien retorted, anger sparking in his eyes.

"Mmmhhm." Plagg didn't sound the least bit convinced.

"Poor, poor Master Fu...and he thought you were a worthy Miraculous holder..."

"I AM!"

"A Miraculous holder who won't even come to the aid of the person who gave his Miraculous in the first place? Saaad. Such a great dishonor. Tsk, tsk, tsk" Plagg almost felt bad for Adrien as he stared wordlessly at the letter, conflicted between whether he should go or not.

Plagg pushed the letter in front of him, "So, are you coming or not?"

Adrien picked up the letter, then put it back on the desk with a groan:

"Okaaaay. I'll go."

- Ladybug-

Ladybug looked around, "This is where Master Fu wanted me to meet him, of all places?" She was standing in an open field somewhere inside the woods. There were trees of to the far right and left side, but other than that, the area was clear of trees. The ground was covered in lush, green grass and tiny flowers.

This looks like the most suspicious meeting place ever. Literally anyone can come here, at any time. I thought Master Fu would meet with me somewhere more secluded or private. Maybe he just wanted a change of scenery? Ladybug guessed. She saw a small shape approaching her out of the corner of her eye.

"Chat? What are you doing here?"

"I could ask the same thing to you." Chat said.

"I have important business with Master Fu, because he obviously trusts me with my Miraculous, more than he trusts you. So, he called me here." Ladybug replied smoothly.

"I know for a fact that he didn't, because I actually came here to talk to him. He called me here."

Ladybug and Chat both took out their letters.

"It's the same thing, except mine says Adrien instead of Marinette." Chat realized.

"There is no Master Fu, is there?" Ladybug asked.

"Nope. It was all a trick, and I know exactly who did it." Chat said. He should have known from the start not to trust Plagg.

I can't believe I actually fell for that!

A minute of silence passed.

"This should have never happened." Marinette blurted out.

"What?"

"You shouldn't have saved me, then you'd have never known my identity, and...a-and Paris wouldn't be a mess like it is right now."

"You were akumatized, what else could I have done?" Chat asked bitterly, avoiding making eye contact with her.

"I could have fought it off myself."

Chat rolled his eyes, okay, now she was being ridiculous. "No, you couldn't have, because you weren't yourself. You were Lady Miss Fortune. But if you'd have told me how you felt-"

Ladybug interrupted, "-Then I wouldn't have destroyed everything. "I know, you told me a million times."

"You don't need to be rude."

"I'm not being rude! You're rude!"

"No I'm not!"

"Ugh, at least I know when I've made a mistake. When will you ever stop?! 'No, I didn't do this. No, I didn't do that.' At least I own up to it. You?! Just that same, stubborn old Chat who likes to criticize other people for what they do. Way to go Chat." She added quietly, "way to rub it in."

"It's not like it's every day someone gets akumatized and destroys half the town. How do you expect me to react?! 'Oh, the city is basically in ruins because of you- nah, don't sweat it, IT'S ONLY THE WHOLE CITY!'" Chat leaned on his baton.

"I know what I did, okay?! And I certainly don't need YOU reminding me 24/7."

"I'm not reminding you, it's fact."

"Then stop with your facts! They're not helping."

"Oh, like you're soooo helpful."

"Wow, rude much?" Ladybug shot back.

"You're just stuck on me being rude, aren't you?!"

"Because you are!"

"The only one who's being rude here, is you."

Ladybug scoffed, "Of course, once again, you're not taking responsibility for your own actions and acting like a toddler. Another one of your 'facts', I presume?"

Chat stamped his foot on the ground in frustration.

"So mature."

"Just like mocking people is so mature." Chat shot back.

"Like you totally didn't mock me."

"You started it!"

"Who sounds ridiculous now, hm?!" Ladybug put her hands on her hips.

"Still you!"

In the sky, a single akuma circled around the bickering superheroes, pleased that it had found the perfect prey.

Welp that's an issue :I
