PIPER POV
When Piper went to go wake up Percy the next morning for breakfast, she instantly knew something was wrong. She had knocked on the Cabin Three door, but when she had gotten no response, she had allowed herself in. The shaking form under three blankets was not something she expected. The tiny Percy was pale and shaking and cold to the touch. But he was sweating. She bit her lip, unsure of what to do.
Luckily, Annabeth had decided to walk by just then.
"Hey!" she called, catching the blonde's attention
"Yeah, what's up?"
"I think there's something wrong," She said, gesturing toward the six-year-old.
Annabeth crouched, frowning, "Yeah, definitely. We should get Chiron"
"Should we wake him, though?"
Her eyebrow creased further, before shaking her head, "No, I don't think so. At least, not yet. See if sleep helps, y'know?"
Piper nods, running to the big house.
"Chiron!"
The centaur turned around, "Yes, dear?"
"Well, we think there's something wrong with Percy?"
"Oh?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah," she nods, "He's really feverish and cold and shaky and pale,"
Chiron frowned in concern, "Take him to the infirmary, see if they can do anything,"
"Okay,"
When they got there, with the rest of the seven and Thalia, who had wanted to see what the commotion was about, Will was in there with Kayla. He was cleaning the stationery supplies, and Kayla was behind a desk. Piper and Will had an interesting friendship, as the others called it.
"Wi-ill!" she sang, slinging an arm around him. He wasn't even fazed.
"What's up, Piper?"
"It's about Percy,"
That got his attention. He looked up, pausing what he was doing.
"What's wrong?"
"Well, we think he's sick, though we're not entirely sure. It could be a side effect of the cure."
Will frowned, "if it is, then that means it's not gonna work,"
Annabeth nodded, "We know, that's the problem"
"Where is he?"
"We didn't want to wake him up, just in case something went wrong,"
He nodded, "lead the way"
They couldn't figure out what was wrong. But, it had only gotten worse. He was awake now, though lethargic. He was in pain and when he had first gotten out of bed, Percy had almost cried. Hazel was holding him, carefully.
"I can try to give him ambrosia, but it'd only be a small amount," Will said
The others nodded. They watched as Percy at the square. He didn't say anything this time, just complied, laying his head on Hazel's shoulder.
"I'm worried," Thalia said.
They all were.
"We need to find out what's wrong as soon as possible. If not..." She didn't need to finish.
Nobody knew exactly what would happen, but they knew it would be bad.
