Parents have many different ways of freaking out their child.
Some of them, like Aizawa if he had a kid, would make them suffer until they agreed with him. Honestly, I think they would be dead before five.
Others, like Kacchan's mom Mitsuki, fight their child to win to prove a point. That method doesn't work for the mentally unstable.
The more patient ones, like my Mom (bless that woman), sit and try to gently talk to their child.
Different methods work for different people. Obviously, mom's method does not work for me because of my willingness to yeetus deletus myself, but Aizawa's method works to an extent.
Then, we have this method: where your 'parents' ignore you in hopes that you will break and run back to them. My mom isn't part of this scheme because she is too nice. So, you may be wondering, who is doing this?
Recovery Girl and Aizawa.
To be honest, I don't know why they are doing this. All I know is that I was taken to Recovery Girl with Aizawa due to my injuries after the mess, and that neither of them have said a word.
That's not to say I haven't. Trust me, I have said plenty including the following:
"You think red matches my hair?"
"Will I get a badass scar?" I got whacked on the head for this one but nothing else.
"So once I am healed, I'm out?"
"Can I take a toilet paper roll as memorabilia?"
"I'll forever remember you two. Especially when Aizawa arrests me."
"Can I say bye to Present Mic before I go? I actually like him, and I will miss him more than the food- wait, I need to say bye to Lunch Rush too!"
"I think my vigilante name is going to be Daddy. I would love a hero to come up to me and say, 'it's over, Daddy!' Like, I might get over my depression if I hear that."
This is within ten minutes, by the way. I'm aware that I don't shut the fuck up. If they don't want to talk to me, I will talk to myself like I did throughout my entire school career!
At this point, I'm just singing the knife song to myself, but instead of chopping, I'm singing about breaking my bones. Anyway, I am wrapped up, and when Aizawa is finally healed, he seems done with my shit.
"Shut up, Midoriya."
You know? I'm being expelled, so all my abilities to control myself are out the window, "That's not very nice."
"Do you want to add another month of detention on top of the month you're getting?"
"Excuse me, but I was told I was expelled."
Recovery Girl interrupts us, "Aizawa-kun, you can't tell that boy anything you don't want him to actually believe."
"If that's your way of calling me dumb, you could have just said it to my face. However, am I expelled or not?"
Aizawa groans, "No, problem child."
"THEN WHY DID YOU TELL ME THAT?!" Aizawa looks over at me and glares at me.
"I was frustrated with you at the time. Still am."
"I don't see why. I'm completely innocent."
Recovery Girl whaps me upside the head, "Because you lack self-preservation! You have the same problem as All Might, and that's going to kill you!"
"I mean, that sounds like a dream come true." How have they not shoved me in therapy yet?
Aizawa clears his throat, "Midoriya, you are not expelled. However, you will be seeing me after school for the next month and a half for detention due to your reckless actions."
"To be fair, it's not like I asked Shigaraki to fist-fight me."
"But you offered yourself on the villain's side."
"Would it have been better if I had offered Mineta?"
"Yes but no, because they would just get rid of him as he wouldn't do anything. No because you can not offer your classmates to villains." HOLD UP, WHAT?! Recovery Girl facepalms at the answer, though it seems to be accurate for him.
"Wait, so it would be better to throw Mineta to the wolves?"
"Yes. I am not saying do it, problem child. I'm saying that between you and him, you're more valuable." Should I take that as a compliment?
Recovery Girl stops that conversation, "Don't continue with this conversation. They're all students that should be treated equally!"
"We both know that's not how it works, Recovery Girl." Honestly, my respect for Aizawa has increased.
Recovery girl sighs and turns to me, "It's time for you to go home, kiddo. Make sure to get one of the teachers to take you home- Aizawa-kun, don't even think about it, mister!"
"Someone has to keep him from getting into trouble."
"And you're still injured! Midoriya can get another teacher. You're not the only responsible teacher here."
"Feels like it."
I cough to interrupt their discussion, "Uh, may I leave now? Please? I don't want to be in the middle of a parent fight."
Recovery Girl nods, and I have never left a room faster in my life.
I'm, of course, curious if I can get away with going home by myself. However, I decided that I am already on the death list, and I rather not go to the 9th ring of hell. Therefore, I found Yagi coughing up a storm of blood in his office.
Don't ask me how he got out of RG's office faster despite the fact his technically fatal wound got ripped apart. Yagi is probably too stubborn to stay in there.
"Hey, mate!" I say as I enter the room.
Despite the blood on his face, Yagi looks up with a small smile, "Hello, young Midoriya. How are you feeling?"
"I feel like that I have more parents than I should have."
"Uh, sounds complicated, my boy." He is awkward about it, and that's the mood of the whole situation there.
"It is. Anyway, can you walk me home? I'm required to go home with a teacher, and I haven't hanged out with you in a while so why not?"
"Of course!"
Yagi had to become All Might to walk me out since nobody knows I know him, and we had to go around the back, but we got out of UA without a scuffle.
As we are walking, I realize that Yagi has something to talk to me about.
He sucks at starting conversation despite being a social butterfly as All Might, so I start it for him, "You have something to say."
Yagi becomes awkward, "What you did on the field was dangerous, my boy."
"I'm aware."
"However, you were able to distract and possibly save Aizawa-kun with your creativity! That is something to be proud of, young Midoriya. That's something we need more of in the hero world. It would save more lives."
I look away, kind of embarrassed to be honest, "Huh. That's one way of looking at it. I literally played Mario Kart against a villain with two lives on the line."
"It's a safer idea than facing him in a fight due to your lack of experience- wait, what do you mean two lives?"
"If I lost, I would have became a villain."
"...somedays, you impress me with your unorthodox ideas, my boy."
"Oh, thank you!"
"I have no idea if I should be complimenting you or berating you."
"We'll figure out soon enough, huh?"
Yagi chuckles, "With you? Definitely."
"Alright then. Anything else? We're close to my place."
Yagi's mood drops, causing me to look towards him, "My time shortened."
"I mean, when a hand is shoved into a wound like that, it's bound to be shortened."
Yagi covers his mouth to cough up blood, "Midoriya, you can't just say things like that, my boy!"
"I don't know what you expect at this point."
"Some seriousness!" He lowers his hand, "I'm warning you. I'm trying to keep this position for as long as possible as I don't want you to deal with the consequences of work that I have not finished. However, there's still a chance you will have to."
"Okay."
"You have nothing to add to it?"
"What's there to it? It's expected. If- when you crumble, if other heroes can't carry your weight, we're fucked. Yagi, I recommend you start pulling back now except for emergencies. That way, the hero society has a chance to get used to you not being there. Whether you like it or not, you made it too reliant on you. That's unhealthy. I understand the idea, but once it crumbles, the whole show will crumble. You get what I'm saying?"
Yagi nods, "I get what you're saying, but I still have work to do."
"Don't kill yourself, dumbass."
"You won't have to do the coffin dance for me for a while!- Midoriya, why are you crying?"
"I'M JUST SO HAPPY YOU MADE A MEMES WITHOUT ME PROMPTING! Also, we're here. I'm saving you from my mom so run. Bye, Yagi!"
"Bye, young Midoriya!"
After the school takes a couple of days to increase its security and to give the kids time to recover mentally, we're back in class! Due to the trauma, you can see how close everyone has become. That's expected.
What we didn't expect is all the media coverage we have received. Class 1-A has been booming in the news, so we're all talking about that. It's certainly going to make things interesting in the future.
We all hear the door open and immediately shut the fuck up.
Please welcome to mummy Aizawa! Well, he isn't completely mummified. One of his arms and legs are safe, but the rest of him is wrapped to the bone. He limps onto his panel and looks at everyone of us, and I swear on my left ass cheek that he stares at me longer than anyone else.
Before Aizawa has a chance to start class, Iida raises his hand, "Aizawa-sensei, sir! Are you sure it is okay for you to teach?! It would be wise to take time to heal!"
Aizawa merely grunts, "I'll be fine. Besides, it's not over yet."
"WHAT?!" The class screams.
Aizawa flashes his eyes, and that frightens the shit out of them as most of them cower in on themselves besides the brave ones. I'm one of those by the way. They have witnessed nothing this teacher can do.
Aizawa clears his throat, "The Sports Festival is coming up."
Now that brings up the mood because that's a normal school thing.
That's until Kirishima points something out, "Sir, are you sure we should be holding this? What if the villains attack us?" He kind of has a point.
Aizawa sighs, "If we were to cancel it, it would bring distress amongst the people. We are doing this to prove that we are safe and protecting our students." He sounds against it. Everyone mumbles.
With the dreary mood, I decide to attempt to pick it up, "It's pretty unlikely that they will attack the Sports Festival anyway. They would be dumb to do so anyway."
Everyone turns their attention towards me, and Yaoyorozu asks, "What makes you say that, Midoriya-kun?"
"If they attack the Sports Festival, they are wasting a valuable resource: information! Think about it: our quirks are being shown on live television! Not just our quirks but our fighting styles and personalities as well. That's the perfect chance to learn about us for their next attack. Sure, they could use it as a way to spread fear, but information is WAAAAAYYYY more valuable than fear for them at the moment. If they know us, that fear factor grows way more than it would if they just attack on TV."
Everybody looks at me with shock including Aizawa, and I tilt my head confused, "Did y'all not think about this?"
Iida clears his voice, "No, Midoriya-kun."
Mineta starts freaking out, "WHAT'S THE POINT OF THE SPORTS FESTIVAL IF WE ARE JUST GIVING OURSELVES OUT?!"
I easily come up with an answer, "If you plan to become a public hero, it's going to happen anyway. If you plan on going underground, you're fucked. However, that's not the only reason it's there. It can be used to plant fake information. We aren't going to be the same capability at the Sports Festival as we will be in the future. We will learn and grow during that time. While they will have an idea of how we will work, it can be to their disadvantage as people tend to over rely on it sometimes."
Everyone goes silent for a solid minute. They just watch me like I'm going to add anything else, which I don't have anything more to it. I'm only telling facts, bitches!
Aizawa finally breaks the silence, "You're free for the rest of the class period."
He goes to sleep, and everyone kind of sits there pondering their life choices.
While they do that, it's nappy time for me too!
