Homecoming

Sasuke woke up around 2 am which he figured would happen since he went to bed so early, but he still ended up sleeping close to 14 hours. He was groggy and didn't really want to get out of bed, but decided he should go make some coffee. He didn't drink it often, but today he needed the extra caffeine, he enjoyed the taste of coffee; it's bitterness.

He checked his phone while the coffee brewed. No messages.

Today was the day that Naruto would be returning and he was anxious. After their sexting session, he wasn't sure how it was going to go in person. If it would be awkward or not and he still couldn't really decide whether he should even begin a relationship with Naruto. Konoha was pretty progressive now a days and gay couples were accepted. Lee and Jaara had come out to everyone a few summers ago and it was pretty normalized; but something about his family history and tradition had him questioning the morality of it. Not that he personally cared about passing on the Uchiha name, I mean, it's not like he didn't want that to happen seeing as how he was the last of his clan, but who would care if the Uchiha name died with him. He was depressing himself again and started to get distracted when the beep went off on the coffeepot. He poured himself a cup, black with 2 sugars and then sat a the kitchen table. He debated on what he should make for breakfast when his phone buzzed in his pocket.

"I'm coming home today." Naruto wrote.

"I know dobe, you've told me like 6 times already." Sasuke smirked, he knew Naruto was just as excited as he was.

"What are you going to do today, it'll be another 10 hrs or so before we get there."

"Play video games probably. Mizuki asked me if I wanted to hang out so I might do that too."

Naruto was instantly jealous and growled, glaring down at his phone as if the raven haired boy could see him doing it. Kakashi just stared at him with mild amusement, he knew Naruto was harboring feelings for Sasuke; he could tell when they trained together that there was more of a connection there than just hatred. In fact he always told them both that hatred and love were so closely linked especially in feeling; neither of them seemed to pay him attention though.

"Okay." was he all replied and sighed loudly. "COME ON KAKASHI SENSEI WE HAVE TO HURRY BACK TO THE VILLAGE!" Naruto shouted even though Kakashi was standing right next to him. Kakashi rolled his eyes and began running again. Naruto did a double take and then took off behind him.

"KAKASHI SENSEI WAAAAIT FOR ME!"

Mizuki was staring down at her feet when Sasuke entered the arcade; she looked up when he approached her and smiled.

"Hey Sasuke, you're looking more rested today, that's good." She said in her soft innocent voice.

"Yes, I am thank you." he replied.

"Well I wanted to play some of the puzzle games today, if you're interested." she said almost a question.

"Yeah, definitely I love puzzle games." he said feeling more content than he had earlier.

"Okay cool, Puyo Puyo is my favorite." she said excitedly and walked them over to the machine.

Sasuke put in some quarters and selected 2 player versus mode. They began to play in happy silence, the game was simple, but very addicting. They had a long match for their first round and Mizuki won; in his defense he didn't play this game much and she was clearly obsessed with it. They played a few more rounds and then switched to a different game. It was a fighting puzzle game and Sasuke wiped the floor with her.

They decided to eat some lunch there at the arcade, just some hot dogs and fries. They sat at one of the small tables outside the arcade, they didn't allow food in the same room as the game machines which made sense.

"So Naruto comes back today right?" she asked and Sasuke could of sworn she seemed a bit sour about it.

"Yes he does, around 4ish, he's coming over to play some games." Sasuke said flatly.

"I see, can I come over and play games with you guys?" she asked hopeful.

"Well we normally just play COD with headphones in...kind of a decompression session. It's a tradition we started after Narutos first mission."

"Okay...maybe another time." she stood up checking her phone for the time. "Well I should get home and finish my homework." she said as an excuse to leave seeing as how she finished her homework in class yesterday.

"Alright, do you want me to walk you home?" he asked sincerely.

"No, that's okay, I'll be fine." she said and walked away, she was upset that he didn't want to hang out with her later.

She kind of thought since they had kissed that they might be spending more time together, but they had been spending less and she was disappointed. She was beginning to think feel really jealous of Narutos relationship with Sasuke; she knew they had a long history and she had just met him, but she wanted to get to know him more imtimately; he just wasn't showing much interest in being more than friends though. Maybe she should start dating other guys and either try to make him jealous or just try to move on.

Back at the Uchiha mansion Sasuke paced the halls, it was getting closer to 4 and Naruto hadn't texted him since this morning, which was unusual. He always texted him when he was travelling home, he was starting to worry that something may have happened.

The knocking continued until Sasuke wrenched the door open.

Naruto stood in the doorway smiling ear to ear.

"Hey teme, I'm home"

Sasuke pulled him inside and slammed the door, he didn't mean to he just had a sudden surge of energy.

Sasuke turned the water on full hot in this gigantic waterfall shower, there were so many shower heads he couldn't count them all; spraying in all sorts of directions. The steam was immense and looked very inviting, Naruto noticed there was bench attached to one of the walls in the shower. He stripped his clothes quickly using jitsu he learned when he was young. He opened the glass door and stepped in, cursed then glared at Sasuke who was laughing very loudly. Naruto twisted the knob with so much force that the water instantly turned cold and he screamed; goosebumps popping up all over his body. He very carefully turned the knob towards the hot side and waiting before stepping under the water again.

As soon as the hot water touched his shivering skin he relaxed and almost fell to the floor. Sasuke was there in a flash, holding him up then guided him toward the bench and motioned for him to sit.
