JustAnotherFanGirl2004: Don't worry about Lori's reaction to Aziz opening the door - she was just a bit worried since the four girls have known each other for years and are best friends, but she only really got to know Aziz when they started dating and was a bit more worried when it came to him. And Emma and Lori are really close. They grew up together and are practically sisters.

This chapter is very relaxed - just some nice friendship fluff and some more sibling bonding between Chad and Lori!

. . .

Summer came, and the last day of school was awesome. We were all so distracted and happy the teachers just gave up on teaching us anything and let us do what we wanted. Of course, our poor, poor VKs still had to take Remedial Goodness. Well, at least it's their last lesson.

Finally, the bell rang.

It was a huge mess. We all stood up and shoved our things into our backpacks as fast as possible before running out the door and joining the flood of students.

"Freedom!" Lea screamed, and we all laughed. Jane and Lonnie joined us and I said, "So girls, end of the year sleepover at my house like always?"

"Duh!" Jordan laughed.

We have a tradition where on the last day of school we all sleep over at my house. This will be Lonnie's first time, but Jane has always done it with us. We've been doing this since we were in fifth grade.

We all ran up to our cars, and got in quickly. Other than Jane, who waved and went back to help FG clean up.

. . .

The night arrived, and I changed into my PJs. Alex did too, and we waited in my room. She usually joins us for at least part of the sleepover, and the girls don't mind. They think she's adorable.

Chad just rolled his eyes with amusement when he saw us. He's used to this, but that doesn't mean he thinks we're completely sane. What else is new?

The girls arrived soon and we all ran up to my room. Well, not before making a pit stop in the kitchen.

"Ice cream!" Emma cheered as she grabbed one of the tubs and I grabbed another. Vanilla and Chocolate.

"Alex, can you grab the strawberry?" I asked, and my sister obeyed before we all ran up ro my room.

I have a bunk bed in my room, just for the sake of having a bunk bed, and my room's big so we have enough space to all sleep there.

"We come bearing gifts!" I joked as we walked in.

We all stayed up until eleven talking and eating ice cream. Around that time, Chad walked in.

"Hey!" I joked, slapping him playfully as he entered the room. "No boys allowed."

He slapped me back and I laughed. He was really starting to come back.

"Anyways, Mom sent me to get Alex," he said, looking over at our sister, who groaned.

"But it's not even midnight yet!" she whined.

"Too bad little sis. Come on."

Grumbling, she got up and joined him.

"Have fun doing your girl stuff!" he called behind him and left, leaving the door open.

I grabbed a pillow and threw it at him, nailing him in the head.

"Door!" I screamed, and he threw the pillow back before closing it with a mock bow. I ducked before it hit me, but that meant it nailed Jane in the head.

"So Janey," I said. "What's up with you and Carlos."

She blushed. "I- He asked me to be his girlfriend."

We all squealed.

"He better treat you right," Emma said with a smirk.

"He does," she reassured, smiling widely.

"What about you and Jay, Lonnie?" Lea asked with a wicked grin.

Lonnie blushed a bit and tried to hide it.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," she lied.

"Uh huh," Lea said, raising an eyebrow before holding up Lonnie's wallet.

"How did you get that?" she asked.

"Just don't question it," Jordan said, shaking her head. "Uncle Aladdin has taught her too much."

"Let's see...what is this? A picture of Jay?" Lea asked innocently, and Lonnie took it back, blushing furiously.

"I ship Jonnie," I laughed, and got a pillow to the head as a result. Before we knew what was happening, all of us were in a full blown pillow fight. After we calmed down, we talked more and once again attempted to stay up all night (something we have yet to actually achieve).

I was woken up around nine a.m, by Alex running in and screaming "BREAKFAST!" at the top of her lungs. I'm pretty sure I got maybe two or three hours of sleep. Afetr that, we dragged ourselves down again. I saw Chad at the table trying to stifle his laughter.

"You told her to wake us up didn't you?" I glared at him, and he shrugged, smirking.

"Guilty as charged."

"I would punch you if I wasn't exhausted," Emma yawned as she sat down to eat and Mom handed her a plate of pancakes.

After they were all gone, I walked into my room and closed the door, falling asleep. After an hour or so, I woke up a bit as the door opened. I always was a light sleeper.

"Lori?" Chad said softly. I stayed silent, not wanting to even open my eyes. I felt him come closer to me and kiss my forehead lightly, like he did when we were kids. "Good-night Ellie."

"Good night, Chad," I thought, smiling a bit to myself.

. . .

I like this chapter! Most of them have mainly centered around what Lori was doing while the VKs did their weird stuff, but this one was just her and her friends.
