Time went by, and everyone was in hospital beds in the Canterlot hospital.
They were all wrapped in bandages, hooves, wings, horns, torso, all wrapped, they all glared at Flim and Flam, who smiled nervously in their beds.
" Hang on, why are here Discord, you could just magically heal yourself right", said Pinkie Pie.
" If only it was that possible, my arms are badly damaged that I can't even snap my way to healing myself, so I am stuck in this situation with the rest of you", said Discord.
" This is all your fault you know, the both of yous, if you didn't steal our money, we wouldn't be in this mess", said Applejack.
" I agree, for two stallions like you two, I find both your behaviors not very pony-like", said Rarity.
" If you wanted the money so badly, you could've joined us and shared it, but you just turned a simple race into a war", said Fluttershy.
" We had 3 million bits in our hooves, all gone to waste", said Rainbow Dash.
" 3 million into 17 would equ...", Twilight was cut off by Rainbow Dash.
" Shut up Twilight", said Rainbow Dash.
" What goes around comes around, we all messed up, and I have no idea what will happen to us, but I personally hope you two get it the worst", said Maud, still in her usual tone and expression, but obvious from words that she is angry at the two.
" It's funny how a chaotic event as this happened, and I had no fault in it", said Discord.
" Don't push your luck Discord, no one likes a gloater", said Rarity.
Just then, the doors opened, and both Celestia, Luna, and Cadence entered the room.
Shining saw his wife and gulped nervously.
" Cadance, I can explai..", Shining was cut off when his wife glared at him, and he kept silent.
" I see you have all caused quite and incident today, property destroyed, including the roof of my castle, a failed delivery of a transplant, not just any transplant, a heart transplant, and causing a mare to lose her mental state, all that in one day, I am certainly impressed", said Celestia.
" Celestia, allow to me to speak for the others for how sorry they are, they apologize for causing such harm, by the way it was mostly them, I had little to blame for it, and they convinced me", said Discord, the others glared at him when he tried throwing them under the bus.
" SILENCE, I mean, hush", Luna said, she then turned to her older sister, " Proceed".
" Anyway, so much damage caused in one day, and for what reason, 3 million bits", said Celestia.
" They were meant to be a prize, and those two varmints stole it, they lead the chase", said Applejack.
" I see, and I have spoken to Gladmane about this, and as the race was his idea, I would have pressed charges against him as well, but because of the contracts you have signed, he is immune to any consequences for today's incident", said Celestia.
" Ah what, so you're just letting him off Scott Free", said Applejack.
" I have no choice, but, I made him swear an oath, a Pinkie Promise, that he'll never again commit this act, and the next time he organizes a race, he'll have to get my consent for it", said Celestia.
" What about us", said Trixie.
" Well, as you guys were just pawns in his chessboard, I see no reason to punish you, I think you guys have suffered enough, and also, the 3 million bit prize, I made Gladmane hand it to me, to give to you", said Celestia.
" Wait, so we get the money", said Rarity.
" Yes, congratulations, as you have all made it to the top together, I think we should end the race with a tie, and reward you all with the prize money to share equally", said Celestia.
" Awesome", said Rainbow Dash.
" Okay then, before I can give you the reward money, I think we need to pay off some damages that been made today", said Celestia.
" Oh no", said Rainbow Dash.
" Well, first off, the tax deductions, which is 1 million, so that leaves 2 million left, secondly, the wagon, we'll get that fixed an repaired, and replace anything that was lost and damaged, which should cost about 50,000 bits, so that should leave 1,950,000 bits left, and then theirs the business with the heart transplant, luckily we're able to get another heart to replace the lost one, which should cost about 250,000, also minus another 200,000 compensation to give to miss Parcel post, who we have thankfully detained and got her out of the Everfree forest, unfortunately she has lost her job, and her mental state isn't doing to well either, so hopefully the 200,000 bits will help her out, so after that, we still have a total of 1,500,000 bits", said Celestia.
" Okay, so we each still get 100,000 bits then", said Trixie.
" Not necessarily, there's also 100,000 bits I have to take off for each hot air balloon that was damaged, so that's the six that was recently destroyed, as we'll as the one in the everfree forest, so that's 700,000 bits taken off, which still leads to a total of 800,000 bits, and also, concerning your little entrance today, destroying the roof of my castle, it's going to cost me 500,000 bits to get it repaired, so that still leaves us with 300,000 bits, also, it costs all of you together to be heeled in the hospital, 299,660 bits, which gives us a total off 340 bits, and it we split that between to the seventeen of you, that's 20 bits each", said Celestia.
" WHAT, I SPENT THE WHOLE DAY HOPING TO GET 3 MILLION BITS, AND ALL I GET IS TWENTY LOUSY BITS", shouted Trixie.
" Well, if you don't want your's that's fine, more for the rest of us", said Flim.
" No, no, I'll take it", said Trixie.
" Hang on a darn minute, why should those two get any of the money", remarked Applejack, referring to Flim and Flam, " It's their Doggone fault we're in this mess".
" So I see they don't deserve anything, for being responsible for the mess today, so I see none of you deserve is either, as you were all responsible for the mess that happened today, it wasn't just Flim and Flam that destroyed part of my castle", said Celestia.
Applejack then grumbled.
And so, one by one, the seventeen injured ponies have recovered from their injuries and moved on to their normal lives.
Flim and Flim went back to the Las Pegasus Casino, and Gladmane, instead of firing them, decided to keep them, and use them on his next scheme.
Trixie got her wagon recovered and fixed, and all of her belongings have been recovered, repaired and replaced, she took off on the road once again, and they never heard from her again until the next time she returns to ponyville, which won't be long.
Applebloom, Sweetiebelle and Scootaloo have been given detention for skipping school, and they were unfortunate that they didn't get a cutie-mark.
Applejack and Big Mac gave Applebloom a lecture when they got home, and they promised not to ground her, and kept it a secret from their grandmother Granny Smith, for if she found out about what happened, she'll go nuts.
Rarity and Sweetiebelle returned to the carousel boutique, Rarity promised not to punish Sweetiebelle or get their parents involved, knowing she'll be called a hypocrite.
Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo decided to keep it a secret from Scootaloo's aunts and parents, considering it's fair since the other two aren't getting in that much trouble, it was decided that detention was fair enough, as they have already suffered injuries from the incident.
And also once Rainbow Dash has heeled from her injuries, including the wings from before she went to Las Pegasus, Rainbow Dash returned on duty for the Wonderbolts.
Pinkie Pie and Maud still kept in touch, and Pinkie apologized to Maud for getting her involved in the mess, but Maud forgive her, saying she enjoyed spending time with her sister, even if was a wacky adventure.
And Pinkie was glad that Parcel Post was okay, and will be expected to recover, after spending the next 12 months in therapy, and Pinkie couldn't wait for when that happens so she can make it up to her.
Once Discord's arms have heeled he snapped himself and Fluttershy to full recovery and left the hospital, he felt pride that even the ponies in Equestria can cause chaotic havoc, without him even needing to use his powers for it.
After Fluttershy heeled, she continued on with her life, and was ready to meet her new friend Treehugger.
Shining Armor's wife, Cadence, found out about Shining's stunt, and was although not mad at him, but disappointed, in fact so disappointed it took a whole fortnight for her to let him sleep in the same bed as her.
Twilight and Spike returned to their castle after recovering, Twilight was glad to still keep the title of princess, despite what had happened, Twilight tried her best to get use to living in the castle, but, it took a while until she actually got used to it, and soon she'll be facing a tougher challenge involving a village where everypony has the same cutie-marks.
But that was another story.
But until then, almost everypony began continuing their normal lives, Rarity continued working in the Carousel Boutique, Applejack continued working in the farm at Sweet Apple Acres, Pinkie Pie continued working at Sugarcube corner, Rainbow Dash still continued working with the Wonderbolts, Fluttershy continued tending to her animals, and Twilight continued her duties as the princess of friendship.
Speaking of which, this sounds like a lesson they have all learned, not a friendship lesson, but a lesson in general.
Dear Princess Celestia.
Today I have learnt a lot in one day,
First off, I never knew how technically dangerous money can be, I already learnt that friendship doesn't need to be bought or sold like a product, but I know there are ponies who can do drastic things for it, and I speak for myself and my friends about how sorry we are for the what we have done, especially for 3 million bits.
Sometimes I believe the term money was Discords idea, because people mostly go against our elements just for money.
I thought about how many rich ponies there are in Equestria, and questioned their integrity, sometimes ponies would make money from selling phony products or spreading false info to people.
I managed to save Spike for getting his life ruined by three gold diggers, I wonder how many ponies there are out there who would use "love" as a money making business.
I also learned of a town beyond Equestria, I forgot the name, it starts with K, anyway they have the worst creatures there, who would do awful things for the sake of money, things a sane pony would never do.
And while it can be bad, there can some good as well.
Ponies need money to support themselves, so they can afford a roof over their head and food under their nose, while there are those who make more than others, and there are those who can barely afford food or a home, it's good to know there are some ponies out there who use their money wisely.
Some even donate money to probable causes, charities that'll make Rarity proud.
I still have a lot to talk about but I'll keep it short.
Sometimes money can be a curse, but it can also be a blessing as well.
It depends on the choices you make about whether it's making it or spending it.
