(Clinton's POV)
I woke up oddly refreshed. Getting up and preparing for the day, I exited my room stretching while making a mental note to hit the training room since I was gaining a bit of weight and fat. I walked up to Bella's door and was about to open it when she walked out startling us both before we let out a small laugh.
"Want to help me wake up the others?" I asked after we calmed down and she shakes her head.
"I better get started on breakfast" Bella said heading downstairs. Letting out a small smile at my little sister like figure, I went to Bri's room next before stopping and putting my ear next to the door. Hearing nothing out of the ordinary, I pushed the door open and saw Leah already awake. We stared at each other with Leah looking at me both annoyed and with hatred.
"Mind waking up Bri? Bella is cooking breakfast" I told Leah who just nodded before I closed the door and started heading down the hallway to Kelly's room before hearing Bri groaning making me chuckle at that. Opening the door, I saw Kelly laying down shivering and letting out weak groans. Going over to her, I touched her forehead before pulling back at how hot she was.
"Clint..." Kelly said weakly opening her eyes slowly before wincing at the bright lights.
"Stay here. I'll go grab the thermometer" I told her as she nodded weakly. Heading downstairs, I saw Bri, Bella and Leah looking at me and seeing my concerned look they immediately became worried.
"What's wrong?" Bri asked while I went over to a drawer and started going through its content. How much stuff do we have in these things?
"Kelly got a fever" I told them making Bella and Leah look at me in surprise. Bella winced a bit remembering that she did jinxed her.
"I'll go grab the pets to keep her company" Bella said standing up to go search for the pets.
"I'll go grab some extra blankets" Leah said heading upstairs while Bri was already going through the medicine cabinet and sorted through it grabbing a couple of bottles before starting to cook something.
"Chicken soup?" I asked her. She nodded while I headed upstairs to Kelly's bedroom. Gently placing the thermometer into her mouth and waited for the results to comeback.
(Kelly's POV)
I hate this. I hate Bella and how she tempted fate. I hate everything. I sneezed heavily and groaned cuddling deeper into my blanket shivering. Clint pulled out the thermostat out of my mouth and he looked at it which making him winced.
"56 degrees. You're definitely not going to school today" He told me while I groaned knowing that I was gonna miss a lot of work today. Bella walked in carrying Rumi's cage and on top were Oreo, Ghost and Littenpaw. She placed the cage beside my bed while the two pups jumped onto the bed and cuddled me. Bella placed Littenpaws on top of me as she fell asleep.
"Thanks" I told them as I sneezed then I saw Bri bring in some chicken soup, medicine and some water and placed it on my bedside.
"Just get some rest. Hopefully, school will end soon" Bri said while Leah looked at me pitifully which made me wish she would cut out that look. She placed a few extra blankets over me making me nod in appreciation since the cold didn't bother me as much anymore.
"Just get back here soon" I told them weakly making Clint, Bella and Bri nod in understanding. They left while I looked at the pets wondering what we could do before an idea popped into my head.
"Let's go have some fun" I told our pets who looked at me confused while I smirked.
(Clinton's POV)
The day went faster than expected. I was in music class writing a few drafts for a song. Alice looked at me curiously while trying to get a peak of what I was making before I playfully pulled it away.
"Why won't you let me see what it is?" Alice asked pouting which made her look cute in my opinion. Letting out a chuckle, I shake my head at her.
"Because I don't want to, and this is meant for someone important" I told her while not giving out too much details.
"So why wasn't Kelly with you today?" She asked me before I gained a somber look. She was surprised at how fast the mood changed.
"She got sick. She was burning up" I told her making Alice look at me worried.
"She'll get better soon. You do realize Rosalie gonna ask you where she is though right? They have been getting close" The pixie-like girl said to me making me groan. The one person I did not account for was Rosalie. I've been trying to avoid the blonde Cullen but that was proving to be useless since she's been glaring at me for some time now.
"I know. I've been trying to avoid her but that won't last long" I admitted since after this class I won't have any kind of escape if she confronts me then.
"Alright class, we'll be doing a project where you need to make your own song. So please partner up" Ms. Melody said and I suddenly felt someone wrap their hand around mine. Looking to see who it was, it was Alice which both surprised me and somehow I was feeling a bit relieved.
"Partners?" She asked enthusiastically making me nod. I was at least glad it was someone I know but that stopped knowing that I might have to come over to her house or vice versa to work on this.
"I'm still not gonna let you take a look in my notebook" I told her making her pout while I chuckled. It was fun teasing her. The bell rings as we headed out before the one person I did not want to cross path with stood in front of me. Rosalie Hale or was it Rosalie Cullen. Either way, she stood in front of me with her icy glare.
"Where's Kelly?" She asked not wanting to play games making me gulp. It was one thing to avoid someone but telling them is another thing.
"She's sick" I told her making her eyes widen before settling back into a glare.
"I'm coming over to your house later to give her the work she missed" She said walking away before I could give an answer. Well that felt one sided when it comes to the decision department.
"Well that was one sided but I also need to come to your house so we can talk about the project. Okay. Great" Alice said smiling while walking away. I was wondering what was it with girls and making decisions without asking me first. Sighing I headed to the final class for the day as Bri and Bella noticed my mood.
"Alice and Rosalie didn't give you a choice coming over to our house?" Bri asked giving her a nod she patted me on the back.
"There's always next time" Bella said heading into the classroom while I sulked at what she said.
School ended quickly which meant the two female Cullen are heading to our house. We each took different cars. Bella left to go pick up Leah since she knew how much Rosalie didn't like her which left me and Bri standing by our cars waiting for them. Bri decided to use her Maserati Gran Turismo while I went with my Dodge Viper ACR.
"Hey, you two" Alice said greeting us before looking at our cars impressed. Rosalie looked at us impatiently as Bri noticed this.
"Come on. You're riding with me" Bri said to her as the two got into Bri's car. I looked at Alice who was busy admiring my car as I held the keys out.
"Want to take her out for a spin" I asked her which only made her grin when I tossed her the keys. I got in the passenger seat and Alice quickly got in the driver seat and turned the engine on.
"Nice choice" Alice complimented making me blush before putting on my seatbelt not knowing what to expect. Alice quickly pulled out of the parking lot and drove down the road quickly making me grip my seat in both excitement and fear.
"Never knew you go fast when driving cars" I said to Alice who only smirked as she drifted the road making a quick turn left.
"There's a lot you don't know about me" Alice said before driving up the long road heading to the house. She pressed down the pedal faster making the car speed up more while I made a mental note to ride with Alice often. We pulled up to the house and saw Bri and Rosalie waiting for us.
"Seems that we're late" I said smirking as the pixie-like girl copied my smirk. We got out of the car as Alice admired the view from where we were standing.
"Like the view?" I asked her playfully as she nodded before we entered the house. Me and Bri took off our jackets glad to be out of the cold.
"Come on. I'll show you where Kelly's room is and we can head to mine after" I said leading the two upstairs before passing by the game room and hearing someone in there. Peeking inside, I saw Kelly playing some games with a blanket wrapped around her.
"Aren't you supposed to be in bed?" I asked her crossing my arms while Kelly snorted in defiance.
"You aren't my dad. Oh, hi Rosalie, Alice" She said greeting the two while Rosalie looked at her annoyed.
"Why aren't you resting?" She asked making Kelly pout since this time it was someone that she liked and was close to asking the question.
"I don't want to. It's boring" The Clock themed hunter answered making me rolls my eyes as Rosalie turned off the console off with a stern look.
"Go to your room. Rest. Now" The Blonde said to Kelly who pouted before doing just as she was told while Oreo sniffed Rosalie who tensed up before the husky let out a bark of approval. Ghost did the same to Alice who picked him gently and hugged him gently while the puppy licked her face.
"You're coming with me then" Kelly said sniffing pulling Rosalie to her room with Oreo following them. I stood there wondering how that happened and if she could teach me.
"We're heading to your room next?" Alice asked making me nod before she jumped on my back making me give her a piggyback ride. I'm not complaining but I just hope this isn't a regular thing. I started walking towards my room while wondering what Kelly and Rosalie are up to.
(Kelly's POV)
I wasn't expecting Rosalie to come over. Not when I was God Damn dressed in my pajamas. It was a bit embarrassing but seeing how she smiled when she saw me in it was a good consolation prize. Pushing the door to my room open, I collapsed onto the bed still tired then I saw Rosalie set the homework I missed on the desk.
"How are you feeling?" She asked making me let out a groan. I feel a bit better but not by a lot.
"I want to get better" I told her making her smile before sitting on my bed.
"How will that happen if you don't get rest?" She said smirking making me pout. When did she become so caring when it comes to my health?
"Didn't realize the Ice Queen was concern about me" I said to her smirking before letting out a sneeze. I don't know if my fever is getting better or worse. Rosalie rolled her eyes before looking at the medicine bottles on top of my cabinet.
"Here" She said handing me a pill making me look at her with a raised eyebrow. When did she become a expert in medicine? Shrugging, I swallowed the pill before grimacing at the horrible taste.
"So, what brings you here?" I asked her curiously since it wasn't every day you get the person you like in your house.
"We got a Project in Spanish. I decided to partner up with you" She answered making me surprised. The two students who knew Spanish the best is partnering up. Well sucks for them, I get to spend more time with Rosalie.
"So why was Alice here?" I asked her which made the blonde frowned. She doesn't like Clint a lot. Huh. Then again, she doesn't know him too well.
"They have a project in music class" She answered making me grin slowly. Oh, so those two are gonna have some one on one time huh. Rosalie saw this before she hit me in the back of the head. I'm still sick and fragile, this has to be domestic abuse.
"Why...I'm still sick" I complained pouting while rubbing the back of my head. Rosalie just smirked at me making me pout more.
"You were thinking of Clinton and Alice doing something inappropriate. He probably made a move now or something" She answered scowling which broke me. I laughed loudly clutching my stomach in pain at how hard I was laughing. Clinton, the most innocent and dense guy I ever met making a move on Alice. Oh god, it's just too good of a joke. The Cullen looked at me annoyed at me laughing at what she said.
"What? Did I say something wrong?" She asked annoyed. I took deep breaths trying to get rid of my laughter while looking at her.
"Oh god no. It's just too fucking funny. Clint is the densest guy I know. He barely even knows half of the sex jokes and innuendos that exist" I told her making her blink before giving me a look that she didn't believe me.
"Trust me. He didn't even pick up on a girl flirting with him. He looked behind him and he thought the guy behind him was who she was flirting with. It was hilarious how the girl looked so shock at what happened" I explained to her making her look at me in surprise.
"You cannot be serious. He was blushing the other day when Alice asked him" She said before stopping scowling at the memory.
"Apparently Alice was the only one who can get through to him which in turn is a miracle" I told her before a silence surrounded us. I don't know why but I felt like shouting something.
"WHIPPED!" I shouted out of the blue while Rosalie looked at me weirdly. I don't know why I shouted that, but I felt it was appropriate.
"What was that for?" She asked making me shrug. Looking at her, from her blonde hair to her eyes to her lips. I don't know why but I try to fight back the urge to kiss her at that point.
"Is something on my face?" Rosalie asked worried making me shake my head. She was just perfect, and I dare anyone else to tell me.
"Nothing. Just admiring how someone can be so beautiful" I answered her offhandedly. She smirked at me before I realized that she was really close to me. Ok, don't do anything that might lead you doing something.
"You look beautiful yourself my divine flower" She said taking my breath away. What just happened and did she really just call me that? I knew I was blushing heavily and it wasn't because I'm sick, and my heart was pounding heavily at this point.
"Thanks" I mumbled before I realized what was happening, we leaned into each other about to kiss. Closing my eyes letting it just happen before my lips touched something furry. Snapping my eyes open, I saw Rosalie was shocked since between us was Oreo.
We pulled away from the Husky Puppy who yipped happily laying down on the bed wagging her tail. Fucking great, I was about to kiss her, but I stopped myself. This was moving way too quickly, and I do not want to rush whatever this was. So, I was both glad and annoyed at my adorable husky, but it won't stay long.
"So, about that project" I said awkwardly while silently wondering if this was what my little brother felt during his and Alice time in the bus.
"Yeah. Let me just go get it" Rosalie said standing up before going through the small amount of work I have to do. I heard something fall in the room beside me followed by Clint and Alice laughter while I wondered what they were doing.
(Clinton's POV)
I pushed the door to my room open before I set my bag beside the door. I placed a few instruments in my room which included an acoustic guitar, electric piano, a beat pad and a mic that was hooked up to my laptop. Alice looked at my room thinking while I silently prayed that she wasn't gonna redesign this place.
"So, what kind of song should we do?" I asked her sitting on my bed after grabbing another notebook from my desk. She sat in front in front of me thinking.
"Well what kind of songs do you mostly do?" She asked me making me stop. The songs I usually do are the ones that haven't existed yet or some flat-out original ones.
"Mostly Pop, RnB, Duets and a bunch of other genres" I told her making her smirk. Oh no, I know that smirk all too well. It was the smirk that she's gonna get her way and she wasn't gonna take no for an answer.
"What about Duet then?" She said making me sigh. Of course, that's what she was gonna pick. Damn me and my mouth. What is it with me saying things without thinking it first? Quickly writing down duet in the notebook for reference later.
"Ok then. What kind of duet?" I asked her. She gave me a look wondering why I even asked. I wrote down love song before setting the notebook down and grabbing my guitar.
"Don't you have any songs you already made?" She asked making me look at her. Yeah, we weren't gonna use any of the songs I decided to create because it was all solo songs. I never even thought we were gonna do a duet.
"No besides it'll be fun creating a song" I told her lightly strumming my guitar trying to find the right chords to use.
"True" She said excited grabbing the notebook I left on my bed and started humming. It really wasn't easy since I didn't know a lot of the songs that weren't gonna be obvious in the future.
"Can I ask you something?" Alice asked making me look at her urging her to go on.
"What kind of movies are you into?" She asked making me look at her weirdly. Well that came out of the blue.
"Romance, Disney, Superhero, Comedy, Musical, Sci-Fi and Fantasy" I told her before seeing a smile go up on her face. Oh no, please don't tell me.
"Then I declare every Friday movie night" She said making stop looking at her. Wait does that mean she's gonna come over here every Friday?
"Do I have a say in this?" I asked her as the pixie girl shakes her head making me sigh. Well that means I can't go out on Fridays anymore.
"WHIPPED!" Kelly shouted making me look at the wall wondering if she was listening in before I shrug. That was impossible, each room has soundproof walls.
"So, have you ever had any steamy thoughts about me?" Alice asked bluntly making me look at her confused. Sure, she's beautiful and we were close but why would I have those thoughts. It really doesn't make sense. Also could she be any blunter.
"Nope" I answered without hesitation. She looked back at the notebook going back to work. A comfortable silence fell between us while I look at Alice seeing her working on possibly the lyrics to the song while humming happily. How can anyone miss out on someone as amazing as her is a mind puzzler.
"What are you staring at?" She asked without looking up from the notebook making me turn to the window. How did she even know about that?
"Depends on what you want to hear. I was either looking at the notebook or" I said while hesitating to finish what I was gonna say.
"Or..." She urged me on smirking as if she knew what I was gonna say next. Oh great, she probably has some sort of future sight or something. There goes any kind of surprised I might have
"Or I was wondering how anyone could miss out on an amazing girl like you" I answered shrugging as she looked at me smiling making me let out a small laugh and looked away.
"I was made for loving you" She sang while I listened to her voice. It was amazing, it was like listening to silver bells before I stopped. How can I forget about that song, I saw Alice looking at me her eyes shining with glee.
"Even though we may be hopeless hearts just passing through" I continued while finally finding the right chords to play the song while mixing in a beat.
"I think we found our song" Alice said while I nodded grinning. We looked at each other smiling softly. She leaned in closer while I tensed up not knowing what to do. I didn't have to since she pushed me off the bed laughing while I grinned pulling her down with me making her let out a gasp of surprise as she landed on top of me.
"What did you do that for?" She asked looking at me. Brown eyes met Gold eyes while I wished it didn't have to end. My heart was beating faster and I was completely lost for words at this point. It was like my breath was taken away.
"If I'm going down you're going down with me" I answered her before she broke into a smile that turned into laughter while she buried her head into my chest giggling while I laughed just enjoying this moment. I won't deny it anymore. I was falling hopelessly and completely in love with Alice Cullen and I don't mind. If I was going to fall in love it someone. I was glad it was with her and no one else.
(Kelly's POV)
The sun finally came out on this place and apparently decided to dress for a sunny day even though it wasn't that hot and still a bit cold. We just came out of the cafeteria to eat outdoors and I could see Bella looking around for the Cullen Siblings who weren't here today.
"They're not here" Jessica said making us look down to see Jessica sitting on the grass.
"What do you mean?" Clint asked while I could see him and Bri exchanging looks as if saying they were gonna do some research about this later.
"Whenever the weather's nice, the Cullens disappear" She answered making us stop. So it was probably the sun. Bri and Clint were whispering probably trading theories between them as to why it was so.
"Wait so every time the sun is out. They just get up and ditch school?" Bella asked trying to get as much information as possible. Looks like the lesson on being discreet in questioning are paying off.
"No, Dr. and Mrs. Cullen yank them out for hiking and camping and stuff. I tried the idea out on my parents. Not even close." Jessica said making Clint chuckle darkly making Bella shiver.
Oh yeah, the outdoor survival training. I don't see what she's complaining about. We had to do that without any knowledge, and we survived. After some bear fighting, almost setting the forest on fire and somehow Clint almost drowning. It was a weird experience.
I saw Clint look at me and I pulled out my phone as we tried to call Alice and Rosalie. Key word tried. No one picked up on the other end which meant they weren't trying to answer to make it more believable or they were really out camping. Angela suddenly jumps on me and Bella while I let out a small growl wanting her to let go of me.
"I'm going to the prom with Eric! I just asked him, I took control!" Angela said hugging Bri and Bella who were smiling. Huh, well glad she did, if he isn't gonna do it then she should have taken charge.
"Oh my God, we need to hit the stores in Port Angeles before the dresses get cleaned out" Jessica said making me, Clint and Bri pale and we traded glances knowing what we have to do. The greater good needed to be done here.
"Bella is gonna join you" I said quickly while Bella looked at us in confusion before horror washed over her face realizing that she has to endure that horrible experience while trying to see if she can go grab the book.
"Apparently I will" Bella said weakly while trying not to show how much she didn't want to go. I'm not sorry for doing this to her. This was payback for what she did the other day.
"Thank God. We need your opinion" Angela said. I was smirking when Bella glared at me for getting her involved in that mess. Have fun Swan, karma is a really really cruel bitch.
(Bella's POV)
I hate them. I can't believe they threw me under the bus like that. I know that we have to get that book but having me go on a shopping spree was not what I had in my mind. I always thought Clint was gonna come up with some plan to get us to come here and I guess he did but this isn't what I imagined. Looking at my phone with a note of the name of the store. Thunderbird and Whale Book Store. Hearing the changing room door open, I saw Jessica flounces out posing provocatively.
"I think this halter makes my boobs look big. What do you think, Bella?" She asked making me shake my head. Definitely not, especially since those two frat boys were staring. Thank god, Clint decided to let me use one of his pistols.
"No. Sure it looks great but no" I said making her look at me with a raised eyebrow.
"You said that about the last five dresses" She said making me shrug. Fashion is not my expertise. Clint has a bit of a fashion sense but that only goes with what he thinks suit best.
"You're not very good at this, are you?" Angela asked empathetic while I saw my chance to escape this living nightmare of a shopping spree.
"Yeah. I don't really have a knack for fashion. I'll just go check the book store and meet you at the restaurant later" I told them since the book contained a few things we needed to confirm or clarify better.
"You sure?" She asked as I nodded while I headed out. Heading towards the bookstore, I was on edge while making sure my hand was on the switchblade in my pocket. Kelly knew that I was gonna be out late, so she made sure I was ready with two weapons. She may not like me but it doesn't mean she wants to see me die.
Entering the bookstore, I started looking through the shelves for what we needed. There was definitely a lot of good books here. I should take Bri and Clint here at some point just for us to buy a few books. There was even some that Kelly might like. Here it is, grabbing the book and looking at the title to make sure it was the exact one we needed. Yup, this was it, I went up to the cashier and bought it before heading out the store.
I can't help but tense up feeling someone following me. Slipping my hand into my pocket and gripping the knife. I look behind me and saw no one there. I keep walking cutting through the parking lot while looking at my phone to see where I was at. Great, I was lost. Suddenly I heard two people loudly talking. Taking a quick glance to see who it was, it was the two frat boys from earlier, but they were drunk. I tensed up ready to fight if needed.
"Wanna Beer?" One of them asked while I looked around to see how many are there. Four of them in total and they were surrounding me. Big mistake. Slipping my hand into my purse gripping the Glock with one hand while the other rested on the knife.
"I'm warning you. Back off now or else this is gonna become ugly quickly" I told them while they just laughed.
"Look around you. There's four of us while only one of you" The other guy said laughing as he approached me. I kneed him in the groin before grabbing the back of his shirt and tossing him onto the ground glaring at him.
"Last chance to back out" I told them settling in a fighting stance. They just laughed approaching me closer and reaching into my purse to pull out the gun when a bright light blinded us. Shielding my eyes, I saw it came from a Silver Volvo which stopped in front of me while the frat boy dived out of the way. The passenger door opened showing it was Edward inside the car.
"Get in" He said while I scoffed. Does he really think I'm some sort of damsel in distress? Not by a long shot. One of them jumped into the game and rushed Edward's side of the car before I slid across the hood and kicked him down.
"Give me a minute" I told him going over to the other. One of them rushed me before I pushed his fist aside then countering it with a punch to the stomach followed by a knee to the face knocking him out. The other one was about to rush me before I aimed the Glock at him making him stop in his tracks.
"We were just joking" He said looking behind me while I wondered why. All of his friends were knocked out before I heard something metal hit the ground. Quickly knocking the last guy by hitting him with the pistol. I looked behind me only to see Edward glaring at the last guy who was frozen in fear.
"Look I wasn't gonna hit her" The guy said while I raised an eyebrow while I slipped the pistol back in my purse. Oh, he was not gonna get off easy.
"And I didn't want to do this, but I do" I told him stomping on his face knocking him out. Well that was a great stress reliever.
"Can we go now?" Edward asked as I nodded getting into the car while I wondered what he wanted. He just showed up mysteriously before my eyes widen. I unintentionally fought the guys when I didn't have to. Does he know that I'm one of them now? One of the Hunters?
He was racing down the road while avoiding the cars. Looking at him, I saw him seething with anger, jaws clenched and his hands gripping the steering wheel. Whatever those guys are thinking of must have been really bad if it got this reaction out of him.
"How did you know I was here?" I asked him looking at him glaring a bit. It was a bit suspicious how he just showed up when he thought I needed help.
"I should go back and rip their heads off" He said gritting his teeth. Well that was a bad idea and would cause suspicion if they were found with their heads ripped off.
"Don't. That's a really bad idea. You don't need to be more suspicious as it is" I told him as he looked at me at a red light.
"You don't know the vile, repulsive things they were thinking" He said as I looked at him. It didn't take a genius to figure out what they were thinking. It's why I did what I did.
"It doesn't take much to figure it out" I told him while he looked at me.
"What was that back there? Why did you have a gun?" He asked me. Oh nothing much, just training from a ruthless trainer that I used to fight monsters. So it was really nothing.
"Just some things I learned, and I was not gonna be out here at this time without something to defend myself with." I said shrugging making him look at me. I could see him putting together the pieces while I leaned back in my chair just enjoying the silence that was in the car.
