It was on. It's a battle of the bands between Fairy Tale and Big Star. It was suppose to be a performance for charity, but Natsu is hoping to bring the fake that's Will Blade down. At the moment, the band is in the middle of a press conference covering the upcoming band.
"I would like to apologize for Fairy Tale." Levy said. "Things got out of hand and our actions were inexcusable. That being said, this battle of the bands between Fairy Tale and Big Star will go on on the day the concert was suppose to go on."
"Thanks, Levy." Lucy said.
"Of course." Levy said. "What really matters is that a lot of money is going to help the children's hospital. I also assure you that they'll be fair sportsman-like conduct between both bands and both bands will man-up and apologize to each other for their actions." That's what wrapped up the conference, but Fairy Tale was not looking forward to being friendly with Big Star.
"I didn't see Big Star apologize to us. Anyone see them apologize or something that made it look like they will?" Natsu said and none of them really did.
"No, Natsu, because Big Star has nothing to be sorry about." Lucy said. She's the only one that doesn't know the truth about Will Blade and it doesn't help that she appears to be interested in him.
"Lucy, listen. Will Blade is a total fake." Natsu said.
"Natsu's right. The guy is a jerk." Gray said.
"I find that more believable if it wasn't coming from the guy that started this whole mess." Lucy said as she looked right at Natsu. She turned away and walked out of there with her appearing upset.
"Great. Now she thinks I'm a liar." Natsu said.
"Don't worry. We'll get her to come around." Gajeel said.
"Hold it." Levy said as she seemed unhappy as well. "Don't get me wrong. I'm not happy about this guy either, but I told you to ignore him. Now look at the mess we're in. Normally, I would scold you... Well, technically I would have Erza do all the glaring." That would seem reasonable. "It turned out this ended up being a good thing. A lot more people are interested in this battle of the bands and we're making more money because of this. That will be a big help to the hospital."
"See? Good news." Natsu said.
"But if you lose, that's not going to look good for us. If you don't win this, we could lose most of our fanbase." Levy said. "That's not good before our tour."
"So we won't lose." Natsu said. "I'm not going to let that fake push us around. I'm taking him down." Natsu's not doing this just because of Lucy. He wants to take that jerk down and he's going to make it happen.

Days Later
Everyone was getting excited about the battle. It was just as Levy said. All the money their making is going to charity. All that's really left is for the big show. As for Will, he and his band were trying to practice a new song, but they weren't getting anywhere.
"Will, none of these songs are good. They're trash." The guitarist said.
"Hey! One had my hair in it. Everyone loves my hair." Will said.
"Dude, these songs are lame." The keyboard player said.
"I don't know. I like the one of the big toe." The drummer said as he laughed like an idiot.
"Look, if we're going to win this, we need a new song. A great song. So where is it, Will?" The keyboard player said.
"Don't worry. I'll think of something." Will said and he meant he'll have something sneaky planned.

Fairy Tale
Natsu and the others were working on their song. They decided to play Strike Back for this. They practiced the song, but something else is going on.
"Whoa-oh! Whoa-oh! Whoa-oh! Will is a big fat liar!" Natsu sang with the others laughing, but Lucy was getting annoyed.
"Guys, please. Don't make things worse than they already are." Levy said. "If we want things to go well for us here and for our tour, we need to focus. Remember that I said there would be good sportsmanship here."
"Yeah. Knock it off." Lucy said.
"Now start again." Levy said. They started playing their music and tried to rehearse.
"Whoa-oh! Whoa-oh! Whoa-oh! Will is a big fat liar!" Natsu sang and got the same reaction from the others.
"Natsu, stop it!" Levy said, but the four of them just kept laughing.
"I quit!" Lucy said. That got all of them to stop laughing.
"What?" Natsu said.
"You guys are being so mean and unfair. This was suppose to be a good cause, but now you've turned into a reason just to argue with a competing band." Lucy said as she wasn't going to take it anymore. "I don't know what's gotten into all of you, but I don't want to be a part of it."
"Lucy, Will is a total fake. Why don't you believe us?" Natsu said.
"I don't believe someone that sounds that nice and sweet could be a fraud." Lucy said as she gathered her stuff. "I expected better out of you guys, especially you, Natsu. So I quit." Lucy just stormed out of there. None of them thought with them being such close friends that any of them would actually quit. Natsu chased after her to try and explain everything, but he spotted that Will got to her first. All he could do was just turn away.

Lucy
Since Lucy still believes Will is a nice guy, she talked to him about everything that was going on.
"So you just quit?" Will said.
"I didn't want to, but I just couldn't take it anymore." Lucy said. "I don't know what's gotten into those guys. They were all acting unfair just because they don't seem to like you and I don't get why."
"Well, they're probably just jealous." Will said. "That's what happens when they feel threatened by the competition. Some people just let fame go to their heads." He's probably just talking about himself. "If you want them to really feel bad for how they acted, how about you come play for us?" Lucy felt tempted.
"No. I'm not that kind of person." Lucy said. Will dealt with it, but he noticed a binder of hers.
"What's that you got there?" Will asked.
"It's just the songs we worked on." Lucy said. "I guess I might not be needing this anymore." Will helped her with that as he took the binder and tossed it in the trash, but Lucy didn't really like seeing it go.
"Don't worry about all of it." Will said. "I'm sure things will all go fine." He wrapped his arm around her and tried to pull her closer, but Lucy pulled away.
"I need to go." Lucy said as she left the place. When she left, Will looked around and made sure the coast was clear as he reached back for something.

The Battle of the Bands
The big day has come. It's the battle that everyone was waiting for and it's turned into a real crowd.
"How are you doing, everyone? This is Mikey Hanker here reporting at the set where the battle between Big Star and Fairy Tail is taking place. I'm standing here with Will Blade, lead singer of Big Star. How you feeling, Will?"
"Very good. I am just so happy that so much money is going to these precious children." Will said.
"And what are your thoughts on competing against Fairy Tale?" Mikey asked.
"They're good people. Shame that one of them quit, but I suppose she was focusing on the bigger cause than this competition." Will said. He left things at that as he headed backstage.
"Will, here!" A little girl said as she tried to hand him a balloon.
"Get that thing away from me." Will said as a security guard pulled her away. He went by and Gray came walking out.
"Here, Gray." The girl said as she handed Gray the balloon and he gladly took it. "I hope Fairy Tale kicks Will's butt."
"Thank you." Gray said and went to the reporter.
"Gray Fullbuster? Where's Natsu? Is he moping about his girlfriend quitting?" Mikey asked.
"Hey! Only I get to poke fun at Natsu like that." Gray said. While Gray filled in for Natsu, Natsu was backstage and was still upset about the whole thing with Lucy.
"Still hoping Lucy comes back?" Natsu looked up and spotted his brother. "I'm sure she will." Zeref said as he sat next to her.
"I don't know. I think I really screwed up." Natsu said.
"Regretting this before you even lose?" They looked and spotted Will. "Get use to that feeling. I stole your girlfriend and now I'm going to steal your fans. She's quite a beauty. Maybe she'll join a real band."
"That does it..." Natsu said as he got up to attack him, but Zeref grabbed him and held him back.
"Don't, Natsu. Don't stoop to his level." Zeref said. The both of them just stood there and glared at him.
"Wimps." Will said as he walked away, but bumped into a box. When he looked down, he freaked at what he saw and ran out of there like it was a vicious monster in there.
"What did he get scared of?" Natsu said. Both of them looked in the box and saw it was just a bunch of balloons. "What are these balloons doing here?"
"They're for the announced winner." Zeref said and that gave Natsu a few ideas on what to do. Time has passed and it soon came.
"It's here! Battle of the Bands! A lot of money has been made for the children's hospital. All that's left is to hear a good song." Mikey announced as everyone cheered. "We'll know once and for all who the better band is. Up first will be Big Star!" The audience cheered as Will and his band stepped out.
"How you doing, everyone?! Are you ready for this?!" Will said and they all cheered. "This one is for the kids!" Will and his banded started playing their song, but as soon as it began, something was wrong and Lucy, who was in the audience, knew what.
"Oh no." Lucy said as she knew where that song came from.
"Our song!" Natsu said as he and the others stood behind the curtains and listened to Will and his band play Strike Back.
"Our song!" Levy said as she and Zeref were on the other side of the stage.
"That's your song!" Zeref said. That was the song Fairy Tale was going to perform and now it was stolen.
"I don't believe this! They stole our song!" Natsu said.
"Gajeel?!" Erza said as they talked about this. Lucy came running and was able to find them.
"Guys!" Lucy called as she reached them.
"Lucy, how did they get our song?!" Natsu said.
"Will threw away my song book. He must have went back for it." Lucy said as she was in tears for a big mistake she made. "This is all my fault. You guys tried to warn me, but I didn't believe you."
"No, it's not your fault." Natsu said as he held her in his arms.
"Guys, I'm so sorry. I'm such an idiot." Lucy said.
"No you're not." Natsu said.
"Yes she is!" The others said.
"Guys, shut up! She already feels bad enough!" Natsu said.
"This is bad." Levy said as all they could do was listen to this.
"Wait. Do you have a copy of the song on a demo or something?" Zeref asked.
"Yeah. It's right here in my purse." Levy said as she grabbed her purse.
"Give it here. I have an idea." Zeref said. Levy handed him the disc and Zeref hurried with Levy following. As this went on, Lucy spotted the balloons above the stage.
"I actually wish those balloons were filled with cement and they fall on his head." Lucy said.
"So let's celebrate a little early." Natsu said. "Let's see how this guy rocks when his fear of balloons kick in."
"Is he really scared of balloons?" Lucy asked.
"Yes!" All of them said.
"Oh my gosh." Lucy said as even she found that laughable.
"So what do you say?" Natsu asked.
"What are we waiting for?!" Lucy said as she reached for a rope and pulled it. That caused the balloons to fall on the stage. As soon as Will saw them, he was covered in fear.
"AWWWWWW! Balloons!" Will screamed as he acted like a lady when she sees a mouse. It ruined his performance and a lot of people couldn't believe what they were seeing. As for Zeref and Levy, they made it to a booth that projects all the sounds and such.
"Here we go." Zeref said as he placed the disc inside and music started playing. They all heard the same song, but it was coming from Fairy Tale.
"That sounds familiar." The drummer said.
"That's Will's song." The guitarist said.
"Will, how do they know your song?" The keyboard player said. Will felt like he was in real trouble now as he was being exposed for the fake that he is. The audience were beginning to see he was a fake and booed him off the stage.
"Serves him right." Natsu said.
"But what are you guys going to do? That was the song you were going to perform." Lucy said.
"We don't have another new song." Erza said as they felt like they were still in trouble.
"No. There is one." Natsu said. The others knew what he was talking about, but Lucy didn't.
"We better go before people ask for their money back." Gajeel said.
"Lucy, stay here. You don't know this song." Natsu said. Natsu understood as the rest of them went on stage, but Natsu went back for a second. "And yes, we'll take you back." Lucy was glad to hear that and the others went on. Natsu and the others went on stage and took their place. "Hello, everyone! I'm sorry that Will stole our song. I bet you are too." All of them had a laugh from that. "Anyway, here's a new song and it goes out to someone special." The four of them started playing their music, a song that goes out to a special girl that can light up your own darkness.

Lucy thought the song was beautiful and she loved it. What she didn't love was that Will came up to her.
"Hey, Lucy. I know you probably think badly of me right now, but I only did what I did for the kids." Will said.
"Really? Is that the truth...Wilbert?" Lucy said as she was on to him now.
"I hear you. How about we just go and talk?" Will offered. Lucy turned to Natsu and her friends as they kept the song going.
"I think I'm happy where I am." Lucy said. Natsu met her sight and motioned for her to come out and Lucy gladly went back to the band she belongs with. She went out and stood right next to Natsu and sang with him on the microphone.

The song came to an end and everyone cheered for Fairy Tale. Not only did they make a lot of money for the children's hospital, but they exposed Will for stealing their music, and won the battle. They also got Lucy back in the band. It's a big win for Fairy Tale. Next up, their countrywide tour.
