This is the 9th chapter of the crossover story. I don't own the series of High School DxD or the video game of Final Fantasy 13.

Kuoh Academy, Occult Research Club Room
That evening, both Issei and Virgil arrived in the Occult Research Club Room, but no one was inside and what they saw was Asia's clothes was hanging on the clothesline, much to Issei's shock and Virgil blushed as he look away to find a place to sit and catch up on his notes.
"Whoa, dude, this is totally a bra!" Issei said, getting the bra out of the clothesline. "But what's it doing in here?"
"Only one guess." Virgil said, pointing the shower with his finger.
They heard the water running and someone was humming when Issei turned his head, noticing that someone was in the shower. However, Virgil sighed, knowing that Asia was in the shower since he noticed her nun attire.
"I totally holding a titty hammock." Issei said until someone whacked him in the back of his head.
"Did you see anything you like you big pervert?" Koneko said with deadpan expression.
"It's not what it looks like!" Issei told him while Asia pull the shower curtain with her towel wrapped around her body.
"Is that my bra?" Asia asked with concern, much to Issei's gasping with shock.
"I think he's gonna put it on and wear it around." Koneko pointed out, much to Issei's dismay while Virgil stifle his laugh.
"Oh please don't." Asia told him.
"It's not like that, it just happen it got caught at my face and-Ahh!" Issei exclaimed, trying to put the bra back on the clothesline but dropped it.
Virgil couldn't help but chuckle a bit of that display.
"I'm so sorry." Asia apologized. "I know I'm a visitor here, I really hate being in the way."
"Asia, it's fine." Virgil told her. "We didn't know that you were in the shower."
"Also, having you around definitely has it's perks." Issei said with a blush.
"Well it won't be for much longer, the president said she find me a place to stay before she went to school." Asia told them with a smile.
Virgil nods as the other members of the Occult Research Club members arrived while Issei was getting ready for delivering fliers. Koneko was sitting on Virgil's lap, leaving Issei glare at him with jealousy while Kiba and Rias chuckle a bit.
"Um, why are you in my lap?" Virgil asked confusingly.
Koneko looked at him with a blank expression and told him.
"You were comfy." She answered.
Rias giggle a bit at Koneko's answer. Virgil sighed with a smile.
"I guess it's pointless to ask you to move." Virgil said as Koneko nods while Asia pouts.
"Hey, how come you get to have a harem!? First Akeno, then Koneko, and now Asia, what else will you take!?" Issei shouts with jealousy, leaving Koneko and Virgil glaring at him with annoyance.
"I'm gonna take your head if you're not careful." Virgil told him with annoyance, making Issei flinched. Rias cleared her throat, getting their attention.
"Well, entertaining aside, Issei." Rias called him. "Tomorrow, we're gonna have to do your early morning training."
"Early morning?" Issei asked dumbfounded.
"Your fight with the Fallen Angel and Stray Exorcists made one thing clear, we need to get you worked-up to your peak physical condition as soon as we possibly can." Rias told him, making Issei understands. "I'll come pick you up in the morning, five sound good?"
"No that's nuts." Issei answered. "I mean sounds fine. Well, I'm off to pass fliers."
"Perfect, I'll see you soon." Rias said with a smile.
With that, Issei heads out to deliver some fliers.
"I'm gonna head out early." Virgil told them, leaving Koneko got off of his lap. "See you guys tomorrow."
Virgil left the Occult Research Club Room, leaving Rias, Kiba, Koneko, and Asia alone as Rias turned to Asia.
"So Asia." Rias called her, getting her attention. "Let's have a chat about the sleeping arrangements."
Asia was shocked about it as they began to have some discussion about where would Asia live.
Town of Kuoh
When Virgil left Kuoh Academy to his home, Azazel was leaning on the door, waiting for him to arrive.
"Seems like a good evening on the stroll don't ya think?" Azazel questions with a smirk.
"It does if I was at the beach." Virgil replied with a neutral tone as he walked over to the Governor General. "What do you want, Azazel?"
"I just wanted to thank you for bringing only two of them back." Azazel answered. "Though, I wasn't expecting you to bring Raynare back to me which I figured it's impossible."
"That's because Raynare have cross the line when she tried to steal Asia's Sacred Gear." Virgil told him, leaving him sighed.
"I should've known." Azazel grumbled in response. "Listen, as far as I know about the Chruch, they do kept it in secrets like that cross you saw. That device allows you to steal the Sacred Gear from the wielder."
"Which the wielder will die if the Sacred Gear was taken." Virgil replies, getting a nod from him.
"Right, but what I got from Mittelt and Kalawarner was information, they were following orders from Kokabiel." Azazel told him, leaving Virgil confused. "Kokabiel was a Fallen Angel like me and one of the Leaders of the Grigori. However, he was a warmonger unlike me and has a strong hatred towards me. Also, he wanted to continue the Great War which of course I was strongly against that, it resulted a rebellion."
"Why is that?" Virgil asked.
"Because I enjoy peace." Azazel answers seriously. "He was behind this by altering my orders which that explains why would those four Fallen Angels went rogue, try to kill both you and Issei, and steal a Sacred Gear from Asia."
Virgil sighed, figured that there will be more trouble for him.
"Well, the good news is that you have thwarted his plans, but the bad news is that he'll be making a new plan." Azazel stated. "I don't know what it was, but I'll let you know if anything came up."
Virgil nods as Azazel left without a trace, leaving him shocked while shook his head and heading towards the house.
When he got inside of the house, Kuroka came towards him which she was worried about him as she embraced him.
"Are you alright, nya~?" Kuroka asked with concern. "I was worried that someone would come after you since I felt the presence of the Fallen Angel, nya~"
"Kuroka, I'm fine." Virgil assured. "He came to let me know who altered the orders since both Mittelt and Kalawarner were captured."
Kuroka felt relieved as she released him while asking.
"Do you know who?"
"Yeah." Virgil answered. "Kokabiel."
Kuroka was shocked about it when Virgil gave her an answer.
"What I've learned from Azazel was that Kokabiel was the Co-Founder of the Grigori's and one of the Leaders of the Fallen Angels." Virgil explains. "However, Kokabiel enjoys war and wants to continue the Great War, but Azazel objects which of course, he rebelled."
"That does sound like Kokabiel." Kuroka sighed. "What else did you learn?"
"Well, Kokabiel altered Azazels orders, which it caused four of the Fallen Angels went rogue." Virgil answered. "But right now, that's all I know."
Kuroka nods with an understanding as she spoke.
"Well tomorrow, I'm gonna train you." Kuroka said. "The reason is because Kokabiel has a rank of the Cadre which he's a powerful Fallen Angel. Your fight in between the Fallen Angels and Stray Exorcists was very impressive, but it'll be a matter of time when you have to face stronger enemies."
Virgil nods with an understanding which that was something that he'll have to do.
"But enough about that, you want to know why I got hurt, nya~?" Kuroka questions, getting a nod from him. "Well in order to explain that, I'll have to tell you a bit of my history."
Virgil nods as they take a seat while Kuroka began to explain.
"My father left before I was born and my mother died when giving birth to Shirone. Few years later, we had to move around a lot, and it was my job to protect my sister. Eventually we were found by the Devil, he offered a deal which he offered us shelter as long as I joined his peerage. Seeing as Shirone would have protection, I made a deal, bit I made a big mistake of my life."
Kuroka took a pause, taking in a heavy breathe of air.
"I was made into a Bishop part of the household and he began to experiment on my body. He tried to learn of the high affinity of youkai with senjutsu. It continued for few years, until I learned that he was planning to experiment on my sister. He was keeping his word by keeping Shirone safe, but he lied, when he planned to experiment on her, I killed him. However, the Underworld covers up the story."
"What do you mean?" Virgil asked.
"They made up the story to prevent the truth, they thought that I was drunk with senjutsu. However, it can only happen if your not born of youkai, but to someone who was born of youkai, not entirely. So I was force to flee when I was claimed a stray, leaving my sister behind, even when they were planning to execute her out of fear born a lie. While on the run, I stumbled upon the Exorcists. I was going to die, but your biological parents took me in when they stopped the other Exorcists. They took me in under their care while I explain this to them. Your parents was shocked about it, but they were in the similar situation. Well, you know rest."
Kuroka finally looked at Virgil in the eyes.
"When I got to Kuoh in order to find you, I had been attacked. I was able to take then down and I flee, and that's when I found you. The rest is as you know it. You already know my little sister, considering she's in the household of the Gremory."
Virgil thought about it when Kuroka was talking about Koneko as he gave her a nod.
"Well, I suppose that she doesn't want anything to do with me." Kuroka said with sad expression.
Virgil took every work she spoke and felt angered about those Devils lied about the story which he knows that she was telling the truth. He learned from his adopted mother that finding out the truth and information was important, and Kuroka was given information and telling the truth. The Underworld didn't even bother to find out the truth, simply put was that they didn't bother looking for evidence.
"Kuroka." Virgil called her, getting her attention. "Was there a way to prove your innocence?"
Kuroka's eyes widened at his questioned, she placed her finger on her cheek, thinking about the question.
"Well...if your allowed to search my old masters territory, then you might find something important that would prove my innocence. Though, I'm not sure how you'd get anyone's permission." Kuroka stated. "But why would you help me?"
"Because, what you did was right. I would do the same if anyone would try to hurt my cousin." Virgil answered with a small smile. "You were accused the wrong way and they don't have any proof if you're really drunk. The least I can do is to help you and to make sure that the truth revealed."
That got Kuroka shocked, but her expression turned shock to joy as she embraced him.
The next morning, both Kuroka and Virgil have began training in the basement which he told her about the basement was self-repaired, much to amazement. He began using his paradigm to commando as they clashed against each other in hand-to-hand combat. Both Kuroka and Virgil have blocking and parried against each others attacks which their evenly matched as they took few steps back.
"I'm impressed, Virgil. Your adopted mother have taught you well." Kuroka praised. "I noticed that those powers were from the crystal in your chest. And it grew bigger whenever you were training. Now, let's move on with magic."
Virgil nods as he used his paradigm to switch commando to ravager. Virgil began to shoot fireball at Kuroka while she fires her fireball of own, which they began firing magic to each other. Both Virgil and Kuroka were evenly matched when they used magic, but Virgil draws closer as he used his Sparkstrike to strike Kuroka. However, Kuroka managed to dodge with her reflex as she used her Youki ability to enhanced her ability.
"So, you were able to use magic in close range combat, impressive." Kuroka praised with a smirk. "I think it's time to level the playing field."
"I couldn't agree more." Virgil agreed with a smirk as he used his paradigm to switch ravager to synergist.
"Vigilance" He used his magic to enhance his alertness.
"Haste" He used his other magic to enhance his speed.
"Bravery" He used his magic to enhance his strength.
Kuroka widened her eyes with shock when Virgil used his support magic to enhance himself which she's impressed. Virgil used his paradigm to switch synergist to commando as they clash each other once more.
Few hours later, both Kuroka and Virgil were completely exhausted due to the amounts of sparring session in between combat and magic as Virgil collapses on his back, Kuroka rush towards him with worry.
"Virgil, are you alright?" She asked while he panted.
"I'm fine Kuroka, I'm just tired." Virgil assured as his stomach growled, leaving him blushed with embarrassment. "And I'm getting hungry."
Kuroka couldn't help but giggle a bit.
"Well, I believe that concludes our training." Kuroka said with a smile. "I suppose we need to get a bath."
Virgil nods with an agreement as they head out towards the bathroom to get themselves cleaned up. When Virgil was washing his head while Kuroka was relaxing in the tub, she spoke.
"Virgil, I've been meaning to ask you." Kuroka said, getting his attention. "You were very hard to find when I was trying to find you, why is that?"
"Oh that?" Virgil said. "Well, I was raised in Gran Pulse since 17 years when I was adopted."
"Gran Pulse?" She asked curiously.
"It's a name of the planet." He answered. "That's where my mother was at."
"Hmm...now that you mention it, I did look at your room when I look at the picture of yours." Kuroka exclaimed. "The woman with the pink hair was your mother?"
"Oh, I think it's best to show than just tell." Virgil told her, getting a nod from her.
When they got done with their bath, Virgil showed the picture to Kuroka.
"This is my mom, Lightning Farron, that one was Aunt Serah, Uncle Snow, and my Cousin Nora." Virgil pointed at his family members. Kuroka was smiling at the picture.
"Your mother, aunt, and cousin were very pretty and they have pink hair." Kuroka said, leaving Virgil chuckle.
Before Virgil can say anything, they here the bell rang as he went toward the door. When he opens the door, Issei, Rias, and Asia have come by to his house.
"Oh hey you guys." Virgil greets as he noticed those boxes behind them. "What's with those boxes?"
"Well, Asia is going to be staying in your house." Rias revealed, leaving Virgil surprised.
"Wait, seriously!?" Virgil asked. "You should've told me about this. Is there a reason?"
"After I have some discussion about the sleeping arrangements, she wanted to live at your house." Rias explains. "She have been at your house once which only because you two were fleeing from the Fallen Angels."
Virgil couldn't help but sigh which Rias was right about that. Until a portal has opened and it revealed to be Lightning, Snow, Serah, Fang, Vanille, and Nora coming out of the portal when they saw Virgil.
"Hey Virgil." Snow said with a smile. "Glad you're still alive."
Virgil couldn't help but chuckle a bit as his cousin rushed towards him.
"Virgil." Nora said with a smile, gave her cousin a hug.
"Hey Nora." Virgil greets his cousin. "What are you guys doing here?"
"Fang and Vanille told us about those Fallen Angels and Stray Exorcists you've been fighting few days ago." Lightning explains. "Is there a reason why?"
"That's because they were trying to kill me." Virgil answers. "They pretty much thought that I have a Sacred Gear and thought that I was a Devil which they picked a wrong place at the wrong time to pick a fight me."
His family was shocked that they would try to kill Virgil during his day at school. Lightning, Snow, and Serah were angry when Virgil told them about this situation and they want to kill those Fallen Angels and Stray Exorcists.
However, Nora noticed that those boxes in front of his house.
"Are you moving somewhere, Virgil?" Nora asked curiously, getting her cousin's attention.
"Oh, those aren't mine, it was hers." Virgil pointed at Asia.
"I didn't think that you had a girlfriend." Snow humored, teasing his nephew.
"Uncle!" Virgil shouted, but chuckled. Asia couldn't help but blush while Lightning noticed to those three.
"Aren't you going to introduce me to your friends?" She asked.
"Oh right!" Virgil exclaimed as he let his family meet his friends. "These are my friends, Rias, Asia, and Issei. Everyone, this is my family, Lightning Farron, Snow Villiers, Serah Villiers, and Nora Villiers."
Asia was hesitated as she walked closer to the elder Farron. She built up a bit of courage to introduced herself.
"H-Hello." Asia greeted politely and gave a bow. "M-My name is Asia Argento, it's nice to meet you."
Seeing her shyness, Lightning walked towards her. "Hello Asia. Fang told me that my son have saved you."
"Y-Yes he did." Asia nods. "He did save me from that Fallen Angel, Raynare."
Snow and Serah were impressed that their nephew saved her from Raynare few days ago. Serah walked towards her nephew, hugging him.
"I'm proud of you, Virgil." Serah said with a smile.
"Thanks Aunt Serah." Virgil thanked her.
Rias walked towards his family with a smile, introduced herself.
"My name is Rias Gremory." Rias introduced herself. "Your son did try to fight the Fallen Ones and Stray Exorcists on his own which me and my peerage did help him a bit."
Snow couldn't help but laugh a bit. Rias sweat drop at that laugh of his.
"Yeah, he tends to do that." Snow said with a smile. "He reminds me of me back at the day."
"Well, he didn't go alone Rias. Both Hope and Noel was with him." Fang corrected her. "But don't forget me and Vanille did help him, along with Kuroka."
Rias sweat drops while chuckled nervously that she forgot about it. Issei noticed that both Lightning and Serah were beautiful, but what he was looking at were their breasts, leaving him smile lecherously.
'Whoa, both of their breasts were in good shape, but not as big as either Rias or Akeno but good shape.' Issei thought lecherously as Virgil slammed him to the ground with a glare.
"Issei, I'm warning you about being a pervert." Virgil warned him with a glare.
"What did he do?" Snow asked seriously.
"Issei was staring at Aunt Serah's breasts." Virgil answered with deadpan expression, leaving Snow angry.
"Is that so?" Snow ask with anger, cracking his knuckles while Issei flinched with fear. "Well, let me tell you the important rule on this, Issei. Never look at my wife's breast if you have a death wish."
With that, Snow was giving Issei some major beatdown, leaving the Serah, Lightning, Nora, Fang, Vanille, Rias, Asia, and Virgil watching at this scene. Rias couldn't help but sigh, rubbing her temple.
"I'm really sorry about this." Rias apologizes. "Issei was a pervert when it comes to breasts."
They nodded with an understanding which right now, they decided to help Asia move some of those boxes into the house and set up for Asia's room, which was the guest room. But as they worked, Kuroka met Virgil's family while giving them some explanation as to why was he an orphan. His adopted family were shocked that the Church was planning to experiment on Virgil, but his biological parents placed him in the orphanage in Japan. Lightning decides to ask Kuroka to watch over Virgil, which the nekoshou accepts it. However, Rias didn't like that and she don't trust Kuroka.
Kuoh Academy
After they finished moving some boxes in Asia's room, Virgil, Issei, Rias, and Asia made it to school on time when they headed towards the classroom. Asia stands in front of the classroom as she begins her introduction with a shy and kind smile.
"My name is Asia Argento, I'm feeling a bit like a fish out of water but I'm excited to be here." She finished her introduction.
The male students suddenly goes wild and cheers for her. Both Issei and Virgil maintain their composure with a smile.
"Shorty's hot!" Matsuda exclaimed with a lewd smile.
"Bust 34, Waist 26, Hips 35, and look at all of that hair!" Motohama measured with a lewd smile.
'Awesome she's gonna be our class, Rias must've pulled some strings.' Issei thought with a smile.
'I'm glad Asia was in this class, I'll have to thank Rias for that.' Virgil thought with a smile.
"Being in the new school and this strange town can be overwhelming, but luckily I'm staying with Virgil." Asia said without any regret.
"BASTARD!?" The male students said with jealousy look on their faces. However, Virgil gave those male students some death glares, leaving their spines shivered with fear while the female students surrounds Asia in a friendly manner. Both Issei and Virgil were smiling, knowing that Asia would have good friends here in Kuoh Academy. Many of the female students questions Asia about Virgil which she gave them some of the answers.
That afternoon, Virgil was lying next to the tree while Asia was sleeping on his shoulder. Virgil couldn't help but smile as he turned to his right, noticed Koneko was here, but she was glaring at him.
"I heard Kuroka was staying at your house." Koneko said seriously. "Was it true?"
"Yes, but she had a reason." Virgil told her. "Not only that my real parents asked her to watch over me, but my adopted mother asked her to watch over me too."
"You do know that she was a Stray Devil." Koneko told him.
"Only to prevent the truth to reveal." Virgil retorts. "I can't turn her down for no reason and it won't sit well for me if your sister became an open target."
"Kuroka was a Stray, she can't stay at your house!" Koneko shouts.
"I don't care!" Virgil shouts back with anger. "I don't care what you say about Kuroka. She's your sister and she loved you."
Koneko was shocked when Virgil told her, but she changed to anger.
"Also Koneko, that's not your decision to make." Virgil told her. "It's my decision, but if you won't listen to reason, then leave."
Koneko's eyes widen with shock and she felt hurt when Virgil told her to leave. With that, she left without a word and on verge of tears.
Asia woke up from that shout she heard as she look at Virgil.
"Um, Virgil." Asia called him, getting his attention. "What just happened?"
Virgil began explaining to Asia about the confrontation with Koneko, she was shocked about it.
"Virgil, why did you do that?" Asia asked with worry.
"I tried to reason with her, but I don't think she would listen." Virgil answers as he sighs. "It looks like Kuroka was right about that Koneko wants nothing to do with her."
Asia was confused about it.
"Look, I'll tell you later, but why don't you on ahead to Occult Research Club without me." Virgil told her.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, I've got a lot in my mind right now." Virgil nods as Asia left without him.
With that, Virgil was heading out to the rooftop with the sigh. However, he was stopped by a female student who was slender, gold eyes, light messy brunette hair tied into braids on each side, and wore pink glasses.
"Hold it, Virgil Farron!" She shouts.
He sighed with annoyance, not in the mood for this situation.
"Look, I don't think this is the best time." Virgil warned her. "Um.."
"I'm Kiryuu Aika, I just wanted to know one thing." Kiryuu said with a perverted grin as she look downwards, making Virgil annoyed. She looked shocked and backed few steps away.
"No way..."
Virgil raised his eyebrow, felt really annoyed. Kiryuu then fell to her knees and leaned forward, but Virgil have had enough as he bonked her in the head with his knuckles, knocking her out and leaving a massive bump on her head.
"Look, I'm not in the mood for this!" Virgil yelled at her with annoyance. "Just go bother someone else!"
With that, he stormed out of Kuoh Academy with a massive tick mark on his head, leaving Kiryuu unconscious.
Town of Kuoh
That evening, Virgil was strolling around town, trying to clear his mind which he's still have something going on in his mind.
'Well, Kuroka was right about one thing. Koneko doesn't want anything to do with her sister, well she does have the right to be angry at Kuroka, I don't blame her.' Virgil thought. 'However, what Koneko didn't know was that Kuroka was protecting her from that mad Devil Scientist who tried to experiment on Koneko. But the Underworld just covers up the truth without tell anyone about this and not looking for the evidence.'
Virgil was pretty upset since Kuroka told him about her dark past and the Underworld just lied to they're own kind, especially Koneko.
Until, he heard a noise that was coming from the building as he came over to investigate. When he got there, he noticed that the door was busted open and saw the man on his right was knocked out, still conscious and angry.
"YOU BITCHES, YOU ATTACKED YOUR FUCKING CLIENT!" He yelled with anger.
Virgil readied his gunblade as the assailant revealed to be four women.
"What did you expect would happen if you try to grope Ravel and me, you asshole?" The Chinese girl exclaimed, covering her breasts.
The first girl was well-endowed young woman of Chinese descent with shoulder-length black hair and blue-green eyes. Her hair has two Chinese-style buns on both sides on her head, while the front features bangs that form a V-shape across her forehead. Her outfit consists of a navy-blue qipao with gold accents, white sash around her stomach, black armguards on her forearms, and black low-heeled shoes. The qipao is open at the chest area, giving the view of her breasts and cleavage.
The second girl has a voluptuous body like Rias, Akeno, and Kuroka with long, wavy purple hair that falls all the way down her back and purple eyes. At the front, the right side of her hair falls over her breast and covers her right eye while the left side falls near the top of her skirt. Her attire is a dress consisting of a navy blue tunic top with gold accents and pale blue skirt with open sides, black shoes and over matching high-thigh stockings with garter belt. The top reveals most of her cleavage, and is held with a gold choker with blue and red jewels. She wore a white overcoat with black and gold pauldrons. For accessories, she wears a black-headband with red-orange jewel over her forehead to keep her long hair in place, and wields a staff-like scepter in battle. For cosmetics, she wears a purple lipstick and nail polish.
The third girl was a tall woman with long black hair with a dark tint and brown eyes. Her hair features five thin ponytails going around her head, which are held up by a golden accessory on top of her head. Her outfit consists of a white top with black accents that is modeled after a Chinese cheongsam, red shorts, and armored-knee high boots with matching gauntlets. The top features a diamond shape on the chest are, giving view of her breasts and cleavage and she wields a Zweihander that is mounted on her back.
The final girl was Ravel who was a beautiful girl with dark blue eyes. She has long blonde hair tied into twin-tails, drill-like curls and blue ribbons kept in place. The front of her hair has several bangs hanging over her forehead, with a V-shaped fringe hanging over the bridge of her nose. Her outfit was long pink dress with white frills and magneta bow in the front.
"That was the service I was asking for, you damn cunt!" The man yelled, standing up as he turned to Virgil. "And who the fuck are you, boy?"
Virgil scowls at him with annoyance.
"That's none of your damn business!" He answers as he turns to them. "Would you girls mind telling me why did you assault him?"
"That doesn't concern you." The sword wielder said with harsh tone. "And you, do you honestly think that we allowed you to grope us?!"
"That's the idea." He told them. "You need contracts to make pacts with humans in order to survive. As a client, I'm offering to make a pact with you girls, but you must-"
Virgil have heard enough as he shot him in the head with his gunblade, the four girls were shocked with horror, thinking that he would be crazy enough to murder him.
"Relax, I doubt that he's dead." Virgil assured them. "What I use was 9mm rubber bullet. It didn't kill, but it hurts like hell."
They sighed with relief as Virgil placed his gunblade on his holster and plans to leave without a word.
"Hold it right there!" The sword wielding-girl said with serious expression as she rushed after him, standing in front of him. "I thank you for what you did for us, but I won't let you go, Virgil Farron."
Virgil was shocked that she learned his name.
"Honestly, Siris." Ravel irked, rubbing her forehead for preventing of having a headache. "We just thanked him and now you wish to fight him?"
"It's bad enough that we had to be helped out by a stranger." The Chinese girl said with annoyance. However, Siris doesn't take her eyes off of Virgil as she responds.
"Sounds you three have forgotten. This one happens to be Virgil Farron, the same boy who fought against the Fallen Angels and Stray Exorcists. He's also the one that Lord Riser was talking about." Siris told her fellow Devils with a smirk.
The others widen their eyes with shock, which Siris was right before they turned to serious expression.
"You mean the one who wields a weapon and uses magic." The Chinese girl asks as she joins with Siris, then smirks at Virgil with confidence. "This is a lucky moment for us. I want to see what he's got."
"I agree." The purple mage said. "I am curious of this boy's power."
Ravel comes close to Virgil, looking at him with serious expression. However, the three girls was wondering what was Ravel doing. When Ravel was finished looking at Virgil, she come to her comrades with a blush on her face.
'That boy is very handsome, had a nice feeling to him, and that snowy white hair compliments with his cerulean blue eyes. This boy is my type.' Ravel mentally thought as she cleared her throat, retains her composure.
Virgil sighed, figured that trouble would come looking for him as he draws out his gunblade.
"I guess coming here to save you four from this trouble was all for nothing." Virgil said with annoyance, making the girls sweat drop of his remark. "What I want to know is why would you want to fight me?"
"It's nothing personal." The Chinese girl answers with a smirk. "We were just following orders from our master."
"You don't say?" Virgil asked, raised his eyebrow.
"That's right and you are no match for the servants of the House of Phenex!" Siris said with smirk.
"Never heard of them." Virgil said, leaving the girls face fault down the floor.
"You meant to tell me that never heard of the House of Phenex!?" Ravel shouts with annoyance, leaving Virgil shook his head.
"Sounds like we got ourselves a comedian." The purple mage girl said. "But enough of this, my name is Yubelluna, and I'm a Queen."
Siris introduced herself. "I'm Siris, and I'm a Knight."
The Chinese girl soon introduces herself. "I'm Xuelan, and I'm a Rook."
Ravel lastly introduces herself. "And I'm Ravel Phenex, and I'm a Bishop."
"We are the servant Devils of House of Phenex." Sirus proclaimed, draws out her Zweihander. "Now prepare yourself!"
Before they began to fight, they heard a sound that was coming from outside as Virgil rushed towards that sound, followed by the servants of the House of Phenex. When they got out of the building, they noticed a humanoid monsters that has a crystallized and deformed appearance. It has a red light on their chest keeps it alive. Those monsters are Cie'th and they noticed Virgil, Ravel, Siris, Yubelluna, and Xuelan as they became hostile and goes after those five.
"MOVE!" Virgil cried as they moved out of their way before they got hit.
Virgil readies his gunblade and used his paradigm shift to ravager while replacing his rubber bullets to the real bullets.
"What are those things?" Ravel asks with horror look on her face.
"There called Cie'th." Virgil answered.
"A what now?" Siris asked confusingly.
"The Cie'th are the non-sentient remains of a former l'Cie." Virgil explains. "They move on by instinct and became hostile toward the living beings, like us. Also, they can wield magic."
The Cie'th began to use fire magic at them while the other attacks them close-range.
"LOOK OUT!" Virgil shouts as he rushed to Ravel, grabbed her in bridal style while the others manage to dodge. Ravel couldn't help but blush a bit.
"Are you alright?" Virgil asked, getting a nod from her as he puts her down. Siris was about to charge after the Cie'th, but Virgil stopped her by grabbing her arm.
"Why did-"
"Physical and Ranged attacks won't work." Virgil told her. "The only way to defeat the Cie'th is magic."
However, the Winged Cie'th came to attack them as it began to use the lightning magic, but got countered by the fireball as they turned to Kuroka while the lightning strikes one of the Cie'th, revealed to be Rias and her peerage.
"Virgil, are you alright?" Kuroka asked with worry, getting a nod from him. Asia came towards him with an embrace with relief, leaving Akeno, Ravel, Xuelan, Siris, and Yubelluna glare with jealousy while Rias noticed those four Devils and recognize them as she glare murderously.
"Rias, now is not time!" Virgil told her seriously. "We've got other priorities to worry about!"
Rias and her peerage looked at him confusingly.
"What are you talking about? Dude, what the hell is that!?" Issei shouts with shock.
All their attention was directed towards the three Cie'ths as they saw them with shock and horror.
"What we've learned from Virgil was that those monsters are called the Cie'th." Ravel explains. "They were only hostile towards the living beings."
"Remember what I told you about the l'Cie?" Virgil asks, getting a nod from Rias and her peerage. "Well, this is one of them, if they don't complete their Focus in time, then they turned into a Cie'th for all eternity."
"Hold on, what!?" Ravel shouts shockingly.
"Virgil was a l'Cie, but he doesn't have a Focus yet." Rias told her as she turned to Virgil. "Any idea how we stop those things?"
"Magic." Virgil answer simply. "Physical and Ranged Attacks won't work, but Magic can work."
Rias nods with an understanding as Virgil began to give them orders.
"Rias, you, Akeno, and Yubelluna will have to deal with the Winged Cie'th." Virgil orders. "Kiba, you, Sirus, Koneko, and Ravel will have to deal with the Ghoul Cie'th. The rest of you are with me to deal with the Ghast Cie'th. Asia, whenever we get injured, you'll have to heal them while some of us will give you some cover."
"Why should I work with that chicken?" Koneko asked with deadpan expression, leaving Ravel shocked.
"W-What did you call me?" Ravel asked with retort.
"I called you a chicken, got a problem?" Koneko asked.
"Enough!" Virgil shouts at them. "If you two want to stay alive, you have to work together."
"Much as I hate to admit but he's right." Rias agrees. "We have to work together so you two will have to refrain from your actions, understand?"
Both Ravel and Koneko glared at each other and turned away with a pout, leaving Virgil sigh.
"Close enough." Virgil said as they focus on the Cie'ths. "Alright guys, lets do it!"
[RIGHT!]
They began to split into teams as they fight against one of the Cie'th. Akeno, Rias, and Yubelluna began to fight against the Winged Cie'th while Kiba, Siris, Koneko, and Ravel began fighting against the Ghoul Cie'th and finally, Virgil, Kuroka, Xuelan and Issei are fighting against the Ghast Cie'th.
The Winged Cie'th began to take flight and charge after them, but the three manage to dodge while both Akeno and Yubelluna fires their magic at them while Rias uses the Power of Destruction to fire at the Winged Cie'th, leaving the Winged Cie'th scream in pain, but fires at them with lightning as Akeno fires her own lightning to counter while Yubelluna began to use fire magic to explode at the Winged Cie'th and Rias finishes it with her Power of Destruction, leaving it dead.
Kiba, Koneko, Siris, and Ravel began to fight against the Ghoul Cie'th, all three of them fought them physically while Ravel uses her fire magic against it which the Ghoul Cie'th writhed in pain as it plan to attack, only both Kiba and Siris blocked it's attack while Koneko gave it a hard punch. Ravel fires off her fire magic against the Ghoul Cie'th while Koneko gave it a kick and both Kiba and Siris finishes it off by bisecting the Ghoul Cie'th, leaving it dead.
Virgil, Issei, Xuelan, and Kuroka began to fight against the Ghast Cie'th, Xuelan used her fire kick at the Cie'th while Virgil used his Blizzardstrike and Kuroka used her fireballs to fire at the Ghast Cie'th, but all Issei was doing is boosting his power with his Sacred Gear while dodging it's attack and promotes himself to Rook. Kuroka gives them some support when she uses her multiple fireballs at the Ghast Cie'th, but the Cie'th uses the fire magic of it's own as it manages to counter one the fireballs, but most of them hit the Cie'th while Xuelan, Virgil, and Issei finishes it off with Xuelan's flame kick, Virgil's Sparkstrike, and Issei's punch, leaving it dead.
The bodies of the Cie'th were burned and disappeared thanks to both Yubelluna's and Rias magic. Everyone were exhausted since they fought mostly between magic and physical attacks.
Once they recover, Virgil turned to the Servants of the Phenex with his dark look on his face.
"Now, who sent you to fight against me?" Virgil asked them with his dark tone. Rias was angry at those four. These four girls, surprised, turned their heads in shock towards Virgil. The l'Cie who had saved them from the Cie'th was now questioning them. Ravel couldn't help but sigh as she decides to tell him the truth.
"Ravel, what are you doing?" Siris questions.
"If we tell him, our master won't be pleased." Yubelluna added.
"We already failed this mission. It's bad enough as it is right now." Ravel told them. "We have to come clean."
Virgil raised his eyebrow and spoke. "I'm listening."
Ravel began to tell him the truth. "We were sent here by our master to eliminate you. He believe that you were a threat to his plan."
"And what was his plan?" Virgil asked, but the four won't answer as Rias spoke.
"His plan was to marry me, Virgil." Rias answered seriously. "Those four belongs to Riser Phenex from the House of Phenex."
"Rias!?" Ravel shouts.
"Wait, who is this Riser Phenex?" Issei asked confusingly.
"Riser was the third son of the House of Phenex." Rias answers. "Also, he's the brother of Ravel Phenex."
"Then that means both Ravel and Riser are siblings?" Virgil asks, getting a nod from Rias as he turns to the four. "What are going to do now?"
"Given the fact that we failed this mission, we have to report it to Lord Riser." Xuelan answers. "I'm afraid consequences will come by."
"As for saving our lives." Siris said, walking towards Virgil. "We owe you a debt we cannot repay."
Virgil nods with an understanding as he spoke.
"I understand that you were following orders, but Riser will have to face me sooner or later." Virgil told her. "Whenever you get back, give Riser the message: if he wants to kill me, quit hiding under the ladies skirt and face me like a man."
Rias, Akeno, Kuroka, Koneko, Xuelan, Siris, Yubelluna, and Asia couldn't help but laugh a bit of his remark while Issei laughed his butt off. Kiba chuckle a bit while Ravel was trying to stifle her laugh but failed as she burst of laughter. It took a few minutes to get them to calm down as the Servants of the House of Phenex heads back to the Underworld.
When Virgil was about to head towards the house, Koneko tugged his sleeve, getting his attention.
"I'm sorry, Virgil." Koneko apologizes. "I shouldn't be angry at you."
"No Koneko, I'm the one who should be sorry." Virgil shook his head. "You have the right to be angry at Kuroka, I don't blame you."
"Asia told me what happen when you left." Rias said. "Even though, I understand that you're trying to reason with her. However, Kuroka was labeled as a Stray."
"I get that, she told me." Virgil said seriously. "Kuroka told me what happened to her and Koneko which she was telling me the truth."
"How would you know about that?" Rias questions. "Kuroka was drunk of Senjutsu."
"I don't think it's possible." Virgil disagreed. "Both Koneko and Kuroka are youkai and youkai's don't get drunk from senjutsu. However, if those weren't a youkai, that's a different story. The Underworld were only saying that, just to cover up the truth and not bothering to find evidence."
Rias widened with shock and turned to anger at Virgil.
"Virgil, I will not have you disrespect my-"
"Shut up!?" Virgil interrupts seriously, leaving Rias and her peerage shocked. "Doesn't matter what you say when you start this argument, and it doesn't matter of who's right and who's wrong, either. When Kuroka told about what has happen between her and Koneko, no matter what you say, it was the truth."
Kuroka's eyes widened with shock, knowing that Virgil was right, but Rias kept her urge to use magic.
"One of the household has taken those two in for Koneko's protection, in exchange, he wants to experiment on Kuroka and have her as a Servant." Virgil explains. "She had the Bishop piece which I recall that it has the ability of magic. Kuroka accept at her own accord while he experimented her body. That mad Devil Scientist was researching of the youkai's high affinity about senjutsu which it goes on for years, but she learned that he was planning to experiment on Koneko. When he planning to that, Kuroka killed him just to save Koneko from being experimented. The Underworld just fabricate the story to prevent the truth to be revealed which Kuroka have no options but to flee."
Rias peerage were shocked about what Virgil have told them.
"You understand, don't you?" Virgil questions. "They only did that which they haven't bothered to look for evidence and only accuses her the wrong way. They also didn't bother to listen what Kuroka was saying since things were rough. With everything that's happened to Kuroka when she told me, Kuroka is innocent."
Rias was about to speak up, but Virgil interrupts.
"Listen, I don't care if you're easygoing and carefree most of the time." Virgil told her. "Right now, you need to grow up and think before you go and jump the gun. Cause if you that, then you will answer to me."
That got Rias and her peerage shocked as Issei steps up.
"Dude, you made it complicated than it needs to be!?" Issei shouts.
"Don't get me wrong, it's fine if I want to help you guys and it's fine if you want to hang out." Virgil told him. "But...if you kept assuming what the Underworld have told you and pretend like nothing has happen, then I won't forgive you or the Underworld and I won't stand for it. In other words, I will prove that Kuroka was innocent without any of your help."
"Wait, Virgil. I understand you want to help, but this is getting out of hand." Rias said seriously as Virgil draws his gunblade, stabs the ground.
"So the fact that Kuroka was guilty of the crime that she didn't commit and you come and go as you please!?" Virgil questions with anger.
"No...but I..."
"Rias." Kiba called her, getting his attention. "I hate to admit, but just this once. I have to agree with what he's saying."
"If your kind pulls a pointless stunt on a whim, then how are we suppose to trust each other?" Virgil questions seriously. "It's simple, with the first thing was that if they listen to Kuroka's story and find some evidence in that Scientist's house to prove she's innocent then we're good. But if they won't listen and pull with an excuse, then I won't forgive them or you."
Virgil then put his gunblade on his holster, gave them a serious scowl.
"I'm not here to play hero on Earth. This isn't a game." Virgil said seriously as he walks away without looking them, but stopped as he spoke. "Rias, you and your peerage have a lot to think about."
With that, both Virgil and Kuroka walked away to head home without looking at them. However, Asia followed them as she heads home, leave Rias and the remaining peerage alone. Rias lowered her head, on the verge of tears.
"All of you, head on home right now." Rias ordered them. "I just need to be alone."
They nodded with understanding as they left home, leaving Rias alone as she began to teleport to the Occult Research Club Room.
