Chapter 10: Thoughts and Views

I'm sorry I haven't been updating as frequently. I've had a lot of tests and exams for school and I just got my first job! Anyway, thanks for all the faves, followers, reviews and readers. I've been really surprised at how many people like this story. :)

Thank you all and here's chapter 10!

(Marinette and Tikki)

Marinette walked through the city of Paris, the thousands of bright lights from buildings and street lights illuminating everything, so she could see quite clearly. It was good that she didn't live too far away from Adrien, however, if she did, she could now just turn into Ladybug to get there and back in seconds. In fact, she would have done this now, but she felt like just walking for once. It's not like she needed to get back straight away and she was enjoying herself.

She sighed in contentment as a light breeze brushed her face, making stray hairs blow gently in the wind. It was a very peaceful night. She couldn't believe how well everything had went today and couldn't wait for tomorrow where she'd be seeing Adrien again. Adrien was coming to stay at her house! He had been there at least three times, including times with Cat Noir because they were THE SAME PERSON. However, now it was different! They knew each other's identities. Anything was possible! No more secrets, excuses or lies! No more rejecting each other or being friend-zoned! No more fear of not being perfect! She felt so much lighter! She felt free of hiding her identity from her partner. The person she loved.

Marinette began to once again think to herself how stupid she'd been to not realise Cat Noir was Adrien. Now that she knew, it was SO OBVIOUS! From his funny jokes and teasing nature to his signature grin and feather allergy. It all made SO MUCH sense!

She still felt so dumb and guilty for all the times she'd rejected Cat Noir as Ladybug. She really wished she had known before. However, she tried not to think about that. It made her want to bang her head against the wall multiple times, which could cause a quite severe concussion.

Marinette smiled cheerfully as her parents waved at her through the window of the bakery. She walked in causing the golden doorbell to ding. "We were getting worried. You should've told us where you were going." Tom (Marinette's father) said with a shake of his head.

"Sorry." Marinette apologised, then turned her gaze to her mother.

"Where did you go anyway?" Asked Sabine, with a caring smile as she continued packing away the bakery goods. The bakery closed at 6:00 and they were still packing away.

"I went to…Umm…A-Adrien's house." Marinette stated as she bit her lip. Just as she'd expected, wide smiles appeared on both her parent's faces as they lit up. "The handsome blonde boy? Is he your boyfriend?" Asked Sabine in a gentle tone.

"Uhh..I-" Marinette started nervously, but was interrupted by her over-enthusiastic father.

"I was wondering why you were so happy! I can already imagine the children! They'd be so smart, creative, and not to mention beautiful just like you and that boy." Tom rambled happily, unaware of his wife's and daughter's totally shocked and uncomfortable looks.

"Tom." Sabine stated, smiling as she rolled her eyes.

Marinette was just standing there in total shock, unable to move. Had her dad really just said that? She then slapped a hand to her forehead. "Dad, why?"

Tom chuckle, "Oops, I went too far again, didn't I?"

"What do you think?" Asked Marinette, trying to look unimpressed, but ending up smiling.

"Anyway, have you already had dinner?" Asked Sabine as she began to stack the dishwasher.

"Yeah." Said Marinette with a nod as she began to walk to the stairs.

"Okay, sweetie-"

"Where are you going?! I've got so many more questions! Like when are you going to get married?" Tom whined as he watched his daughter walk further and further away.

Marinette turned around to glare at her father before walking up the stairs to her room. As she neared her room, she could just hear her dad ask, "What?!"

Marinette entered her room through the trap door and walked over to sit down on her computer chair.

Tikki came out of Marinette's bag with a look of subtle shock on her face. "Today was amazing wasn't it Tikki?" Marinette asked before turning her gaze to her. She immediately picked up on her kwami's surprise.

Tikki made a sound of something close to a dolphin and a cat. Marinette couldn't make any sense of it! "Uh…Tikki?"

Tikki nodded with a smile, then shook her head with a frown. "What?" Asked Marinette, scratching her head. If it were possible, Tikki would have clearly seen a giant question mark hovering over Marinette's head. Tikki sighed. "It was amazing but…"

"But what?"

"I'm scared, Marinette." Tikki confessed as she put a hand to her head.

"Of who? Plagg? I didn't find him scary at all! He was more…Hungry." Marinette stated, perplexed.

Tikki blinked then started laughing maybe the hardest Marinette had ever heard her laugh. Marinette smirked and then joined in.

"No! I didn't mean scared of Plagg!" Tikki explained between laughs.

"Then what did you mean?" Marinette asked after she and Tikki had calmed down and stopped laughing. In less than a second, Tikki became totally serious again. Marinette would probably understand due to her liking Adrien, although Tikki doubted she'd fully understand. In fact, some things about her massive crush on Plagg, she was 100% sure Marinette would laugh. Although she wouldn't blame her! Anyone would laugh!

"I'm scared of Plagg not liking me back…He probably thinks only about his cheese." Tikki finished with a huff.

Marinette tried so hard to stifle a giggle making Tikki scowl, was Tikki jealous of cheese?! Marinette would have taken her seriously if she still didn't know if Plagg liked her, but now that she knew... She found it cute and honestly pretty funny. Sure she understood being jealous of another girl like she had sometimes been with Adrien, but jealous of food?! That was crazy!

"Tikki are you jealous of Plagg's cheese?!"

Tikki crossed her arms and looked away, moodily. Marinette put a hand to her mouth, as the instinct to laugh got stronger. It was so obvious she was, and she truly couldn't understand why. Sure, the catlike kwami looked to love cheese, however, he looked to love her a lot more.

"Come on, Tikki. I'm sure Plagg loves you more than cheese."

"I wouldn't be too sure about that…" Tikki muttered, looking down. "I know it may sound ridiculous to you, but I've known him for years. He LOVES cheese!"

Marinette couldn't believe Tikki was being serious. "Stop being silly, Tikki. You're definitely over thinking things." Marinette told her gently.

"Maybe I am?" Tikki admitted with a small sigh.

"I don't know about you, but today has probably been the most wonderful day of my life." Said Marinette with a dreamy smile.

Tikki nodded with a look matching Marinette's as she replied, "It was so great to see Plagg again! I would say it was definitely one of mine."

Marinette smiled dopily, then suddenly sat up straight. She let out a groan. "I forgot I had homework due tomorrow." Marinette whined, miserably.

Tikki frowned, "Come on, Marinette. It can't be that hard."

Marinette took a deep breath before nodding slowly. "I guess I should do it now, unless I want to get a detention tomorrow."

Tikki knew exactly what she had to do now. Marinette was going to constantly zone out and start thinking about Adrien and she'd have to motivate her to keep on working. Although, now Marinette was going to be even more absentminded due to the events of today and knowing Adrien was Cat Noir. She loved to help Marinette, but how would she be able to remind her to focus when she couldn't even focus herself?

(Adrien and Plagg)

Adrien watched Marinette until she turned a corner and disappeared behind a wall. Adrien sighed as he slid to the floor. "Plagg, did that really happen, or was it just a dream?"

Plagg didn't answer as he too was on the floor in a dreamlike state of shock.

"Wait!" Adrien exclaimed in an urgent whisper, immediately getting to his feet. "Plagg, you have to hide! Natalie or father could come any second!"

Adrien watched Plagg for 3 seconds, but he didn't move. Adrien heard the sound of footsteps very near and couldn't wait any longer. He quickly scooped up Plagg and hid him in his jacket's inner pocket just in time.

Not even a second later, Natalie strode in. "Is the girl gone?"

Adrien frowned at Natalia's title for Marinette. "Yeah, Marinette's gone."

Natalie nodded rigidly before walking away. Adrien sighed in relief when he was sure she had gone. "That was way too close, Plagg."

Adrien didn't hear Plagg reply and shook his head before making his way to his room.

Adrien arrived in his room and lay on his bed, abstractedly looking up at the high ceiling. Tomorrow, he was going to MARINETTE'S house! He was honestly pretty surprised that Plagg hadn't started talking about all the cheese pastries he could get there or begging him to try get some for him. He knew Plagg would start sooner or later, but for now, he was perfectly happy with thinking only of Marinette.

Plagg flew out of Adrien's jacket and silently floated to the window. He looked through it with a content smile. He could just see Marinette walking into the distance. Although his eyes were only on her bag. He knew that sounded creepy, but it was true. Because no one but very VERY few knew that there was a kwami in that bag, and even fewer knew about his crush on that said kwami…

Plagg slowly descended to Adrien's desk, until he was sitting on top of it. He turned his head to glance at Adrien who was looking at the roof. He looked really out of it, although he himself was too. He just couldn't believe it! He had talked to Tikki, he'd played Piano with Tikki, heck, he'd even flirted with Tikki! He was 100% sure Tikki hadn't had as much fun as he had. It had been one of the best days of his life!

Plagg was slightly concerned for his own well-being as the familiar feeling of missing her came back, the only thing was, she'd only left 15 minutes ago! Plagg put a hand to his forehead rubbing it, getting slightly stressed. Both him and Tikki were immortal, so that meant they'd be serving humans and giving them superpowers forever! How would he be able to do his job while he missed her so much? Most superheroes choose to hide their identities from their partners and if they did…

Plagg shivered, he did NOT want to think about it now! In fact, he NEVER wanted to think about it! He couldn't bare going years without seeing her again. It drove him crazy. He was even missing her after minutes, but years… He'd barely survive!

Plagg remembered that he was going to see Tikki tomorrow and grinned. He couldn't wait till then.
