I DO NOT OWN THE CROWN. THIS EXCHANGE IS BASED ON PRINCESS DIANA'S FRIENDSHIP WITH ELTON JOHN.
London, England. Later That Night.
After losing the Skinheads, the fellowship was very much afraid.
"I'm sure we lost them." Jonas declared as everyone started to get on the move again.
"The skins are easily startled, but they will be back; and in greater numbers." Lennox warned.
"We have to make sure that we are far away when they do." Zane insisted as the children knew that they not seen the last of the skinheads; not by a long shot.
The Fellowship continued on their way as it got later and everyone got more tired.
"Health units depleting...must rest!" Skye groaned as everyone else whined in agreement. Lennox found a playground and decided that it must be a sign.
"All right, we're taking a five minute breather and then we're back at it." He insisted as everyone dropped to their knees and took a much needed rest. As Diana leaned against a tree, she saw a phone box across the street. She took her remaining cash that she had and went over to it. For a brief moment, she considered ringing Charles. However, she was in no mood for another lecture about how she was humiliating the crown. Instead, she stuck a few shillings in and rang up a friend. The phone beeped for a few minutes before it finally connected.
"Bloody Hell, who in the Hell is calling me at this ungodly hour?" A man exclaimed.
"Hello Rocket man." the princess said with a small smirk.
"Di?" The person on the other end of the line was Elton John. Due to his skill at making music, he was one of Britain's top musicians which had put him on the radar of the royal family. As a result, he and the princess of Wales had become good friends.
"I terribly sorry Elton, I hope I didn't wake you?" She asked nervously.
"Not at all, I was just working on a song, but I can't get the bloody chorus right!" He replied, more angry at himself than anything.
"I'm sorry, I can ring you another time if you'd like." Diana offered.
"No, perhaps I need a break." Elton insisted. "What's going on with you? You sound like you've had an awful night." The princess sighed as she told the singer about everything that had happened with Charles at the opera and how she had gotten separated from her security detail at the fish and chips joint, only to be discovered by the children.
"So...these kids think that they're in some kind of holy quest or something?" Elton said in disbelief.
"They are to see me safely returned to Kensington palace." Diana insisted.
"Here's an idea, why haven't you rang your hubby or the constabulary?" He asked, being the voice of reason. The princess of Wales sighed as she knew this question was coming.
"Can I tell you something that will sound absolutely mad?"
"Go ahead."
"For the first time, in a long time...I'm having fun." She explained as her friend listened. "These children have taken me in like I'm one of them. They care about me and I care about them. Truthfully, I've never been one for live action role playing, but it's brilliant. Maybe some children have been playing pranks on us...or maybe it's all real."
"Are you sure you know what you're getting yourself into?" Elton asked. "I mean, the things you say you've seen...I don't understand."
"Elton...nothing is so fantastic that it should be thought unbelievable." Diana declared as Elton chuckled.
"I suppose your right." He conceded. "Well then brave warrior princess, all I can is upward and onward to greater glory!"
"Excelsior Rocketman!" Diana said with glee as her time on the phone came to an end. She and her fellowship had come this far and she was determined to see this quest through.
NEXT TIME, THE FELLOWSHIP SUFFERS A LOSS. REVIEWS NEEDED AND APPRECIATED.
