2 weeks later, Littlefoot and his friends' wandering has lead them to a lowland plain. And some 50 miles away, a distant volcano was seen spewing volcanic smoke, and with a larger and higher mountain to the west of it.

They were fortunate there's plenty of food here, and it's been a few days since their last meal as they started feeding by the edge of a grove of trees.

"It's nice to find food, but I wonder if there's any water around." Ducky said eating a leaf.

Littlefoot took a bite of some pine needles. "I don't know, Ducky. We just have to keep looking."

Then Spike took a huge bite of the bush clearly half of it as Ducky didn't noticed as she was still focus on Littlefoot.

"I do not blame you." Ducky said. "It's just a lot harder than I thought."

She then reaches to grab a leaf, but then feels around the branches and then finally turns and gasped seeing the branches completely stripped clean. And saw Spike chewing them.

"SPIKE!" Ducky yelled.

Spike then got nervous and had an apologetic look.

They soon got back to eating, but while they were busy, they were unaware that they were being watched.

Quietly appearing from the shadows of the trees, a young Daspletosaurus emerges from the trees and watches the group.

Soon, the group begins to head off to find some water as the Daspletosaur begins to stalk towards them.

The Prehistoric Pals continue walking as then a roar was heard behind and they saw the Daspletosaurus as they quickly ran as he chased after them.

The Daspletosaurus quickly got ahead of them and roared as they quickly ran off in a different direction. But what they didn't know, is that he was 1 member of a deadly triple play.

The Prehistoric Pals quickly ran down a hill as the Daspletosaurus strangely come to a stop, and then roars out.

Just as Littlefoot and the others got to the bottom of the hill, 2 teenage female Daspletosaurus suddenly erupted from the trees roaring out loudly. The Prehistoric Pals quickly took out in a different direction as they chased after them. Which the teenagers were the youngster's 2 older sisters.

But the youngster stays close to the hunt.

The youngster watches as they ran through the trees, and then runs off following them in another direction.

The group continues running for their lives as the Daspletosaurus pair were right behind them roaring loudly.

"Keep going!" Littlefoot yelled.

They quickly rushed over a log as one of the Daspletosaurus roared out as they ran over the log, and the other kicks a branch off with her foot.

They continued running as the younger Daspletosaurus brother was not too far away as he ran as the group kept running.

Running parallel to the chase, the youngster will help his sister keep the group on a predetermined course.

Soon, the group ran towards some trees.

"Quick, this way!" Littlefoot yelled.

They kept rushing towards them, but unaware of what's ahead.

And now, the final player...

Then walking out from behind a tree was an adult female Daspletosaurus.

It's the mother of the pack.

The mother Daspletosaurus then roars out loudly as the group quickly came to a stop. And have were drove into a kill-zone.

"It's a trap!" Scar said.

Littlefoot quickly looked behind as the 2 teenage Daspletosaurus were closing in, and the smaller one rushing towards them. And then he saw a window for them to escape.

"Go, go, go, go!" Littlefoot yelled.

The mother Daspletosaurus begins to close in.

They quickly followed Littlefoot, but paralyzed by fear, Blaze delays their escape by 1 precious second, and Buck is left behind to pay the price.

Buck quickly shoves Blaze as she snaps out of her trance, and quickly sprints away. And Buck quickly follows her as the Daspletosaurus quickly bites down on Buck's right thigh as he roars out loudly in pain.

The juvenile Daspletosaurus rushed towards his mother make the final blow, but then he got a little attention span as Littlefoot and his friends rushed off. And then he blindly runs into his mother's shoulder causing her to release Buck as he rushed off and the juvenile hits the ground.

The young male soon got to his feet and watches as they group of kids runs off as they just lost their dinner.

A monkey wrench thrown into a well-oiled killing machine. And the juvenile is the monkey in question.

The 2 teenage sisters soon joins them as the brother sadly whimpered.

Meanwhile, Littlefoot and the others have managed to regroup further up the hill and managed to catch their breath.

"Is... Is everyone okay?" Littlefoot asked catching his breath.

"I think so." Ali said.

Buck looked back to his leg, and saw that the bite was left a massive gash. "She got me."

The others were all shocked of this.

"Oh, no." Dink said.

"That looks like a pretty bad bite, Buck." Cera said.

"Yeah." Buck said. "Better than losing a leg, though."

"This is all my fault." Blaze said regretfully. "If I hadn't froze back there, it wouldn't had happen."

"It's okay, Blaze." Littlefoot said. "Right now, we need to keep moving."

"Come on." Amber said.

They begin to head off, and Buck followed them as he limped.

The group is safe for now, courtesy of a young predator's boundless enthusiasm.

Meanwhile, the Daspletosaurus pack begins to head out as the mother growled to her son as he followed them.

The next day, Littlefoot and his friends were on the move after managing to find a safe place to sleep last night in some bushes to hide from the Daspletosaurs. And Buck is still injured from yesterday.

And the smell of blood is a magnet for predators.

Not far away, the Daspletosaurus pack watches them from a grove of trees.

The mother had no trouble tracking the group through the night. And now, it's a waiting game for them.

With easy targets of Littlefoot and his friends, any other predator would've rushed in and snatched them. But the fact that Buck is injured, changes the hunt as the pack has a primary target.

Soon, the juvenile male appeared as he watches the herd. But it was then that the mother and the sisters begin to head off. And the male watches the herd of young dinosaurs as Buck was a target of opportunity. Sooner or later, Buck will collapse, and they'll have no choice but to leave him behind.

The young Daspletosaurus continues watching them as then he suddenly realized his family was already gone.

Meanwhile, Littlefoot and his friends were still hiking as he got to the hilltop and watched as his friends walked by him.

"Doing okay, Buck?" Littlefoot asked.

"Nice and steady." Buck assured. "Come on."

They continued on.

Not too far away, the Daspletosaur was still looking for his family.

But then he catches a scent, and saw nearby was an Einiosaurus.

He roars at the Einosaurus as Einiosaurus turns to him and roared as he backed away. And soon a whole herd he was with saw the young predator. And soon, they started fleeing for their lives.

At first it seems odd of a herd of large adults would be fleeing from a young predator. But more than just the youngster.

The herd continues fleeing as the Daspletosaurus chased them.

But the herd is not really running from the youngster. The animals know that young Daspletosaurs serve as scouts for adult hunters.

The Einiosaurus herd continues fleeing as nearby was Littlefoot and his friends who were feeding. And they saw the herd, and saw the Daspletosaurus as they quickly fled as well.

The herds flee as the Daspletosaurus came to a stop and roars out.

And he has managed to run of every kind of prey in part of the lowlands.

And just where couldn't get worse for him, his mother and sisters appeared from nearby right where they were about to lunge an ambush on Littlefoot and his friends. Then the mother bites down on her son's snout furiously as a punishment. And knows that her son still has a long way from learning how to hunt.

But, a sleeping giant, is about to reawaken.

Some 50 miles away, the larger mountain near the small volcano spews smokes as the smoke spew has recently ended with the smaller one.

The smaller volcano dies, its subterranean pool of magma drained by a larger, more voracious peak. Gorging on the molten rock and lethal gas of its neighbor, is a geothermal monster. The greatest volcano ever to strike this part of the world.

Soon, even the creatures of the lowlands, some 50 miles away, will feel its heat.

Over 50 miles away, the Einiosaurus herd has arrived at an area by some trees to feed as Littlefoot and his were still with them.

As they began to feed, Littlefoot, Cera, Buck and Blaze followed 2 Einiosaurus toward some trees.

Crippled and vulnerable, Buck is on the watch. The would on his hind leg has become septic, and the group may soon pass him by.

They continued wandering from the herd as they near some trees.

Just keeping pace with the lumbering Einiosaurs is a challenge.

Soon, the 4 young ones begin to feed as the 2 Einiosaurus started browsing on the branches.

Cera soon swallowed some pine needles and turns to Buck while he was eating. And saw that the wound on his leg is now starting to become infected.

"Littlefoot, a word." Cera said.

Littlefoot turns to her as he followed her to a distance from Buck.

"What is it?" Littlefoot asked.

"Look, I just don't know how much longer Buck can keep up with us." Cera said.

"He's holding on as long as he can, Cera." Littlefoot said.

"I know, but I'm afraid we may have to-" Cera said.

"Don't say it." Littlefoot interrupted knowing what she was thinking.

"We may not have a choice, Littlefoot." Cera said.

"We've never left anyone behind." Littlefoot said. "Why would we start now?"

"He may not be able to hold on much longer, Littlefoot." Cera said.

"Okay, this discussion is over." Littlefoot said and walks off.

Suddenly, the young Daspletosaurus appeared from the trees and roars at the 2 Einiosaurus. They soon turn around run off as well as Littlefoot, Cera, Buck and Blaze when they saw him.

The Daspletosaurus watches them for a moment, and then charges after them as he selected a victim.

Buck.

Everyone else is just in the way.

Soon, Blaze made back to the others as warns the others as they quickly ran as the Einiosaurus herd quickly to a defensive circle.

Suddenly, Blaze ran into the rest of the Daspletosaurus pack waiting to hit Buck, and she rushed in a different direction.

Getting a clean shot at their prey won't be easy.

Soon, Littlefoot, Cera, Buck and the 2 Einiosaurs arrived as the pack lunges but rushed off in a different direction. The mother roars out as the 3 siblings charged after them.

The youngster has delivered an Einiosaur sandwich, with a side of Longneck and Threehorn, and no one is willing to take the first bite.

The pack chased chased the group as they quickly got to the Einiosaur herd as the 2 sisters roared out. While the pack was busy confronting the herd, Littlefoot, Cera and Buck squeezed through the Einiosaurus and begin to make a break for it and catch up with the others. But then the juvenile Daspletosaurus who was looking around the herd saw the 3 and roars out to the pack as they saw them.

Littlefoot, Cera and Buck hurried to catch up to the others, but soon Buck weakly stops.

The Einiosaurs' blockade has given them a small lead. The chase has taken its toll on Buck.

Buck soon looks back, and saw the Daspletosaurus pack begin to follow them.

"Come on." Littlefoot said.

The 3 then hurried off to catch up to the others, but now a plot twist could turn this prehistoric pageant into a tragedy.

Over 50 miles away, the large volcano is beginning to show signs of life as it's activity increases. And smoke spews from it's crater.

The great mountain is possessed by a seething ocean of magma and dissolved gas. Titanic pressures begin to test the mountain walls from within. The creatures of the region now live beneath a time bomb filled with melted rock.

Back in the lowlands, Littlefoot, Cera and Buck were still catching up to the others as Littlefoot and Cera were at a pace allowing Buck to keep up.

Buck suffers from dehydration and pain, but he's no quitter, his instinct to rejoin the group keeps the young Maiasaura on his feet.

They continued on as they saw the distant volcano spewing a large sea of volcanic ash in the air as it became below the clouds and spreading. They saw the group by some trees in a clearing just ahead of them.

"I really don't like the look of that." Littlefoot said of the distant volcano.

Then they looked back and saw a bigger problem.

The Daspletosaurus pack was right behind has they managed to track them down.

"Come on, we gotta get going." Littlefoot said.

They then hurried to pace as the darkness from the clouds soon went pass the distant group.

The prey is more dead than alive.

Meanwhile, the pack begins to close in as they watched them.

Killing Buck will take just a minimal effort.

The trio continues on as the shadow of the volcanic cloud above them soon went pass them.

The Daspletosaurs have waited it out, and now, the time feels right to close in.

The pack watches them as they came to a stop, and then the mothers snarled and then lets out a thunderous roar. And then begins to follow them.

Littlefoot, Cera and Buck quicken their pace as they looked back and saw the pack beginning to close in.

And the pack continues towards them.

Within minutes, the sky was all dark.

15,000 square miles of sky are consumed by a monstrous veil of ash. Created by the release of gas from molten rock, the cloud is alive with in size fragments of volcanic glass.

The young Daspletosaurus rushed forward as volcanic glass snows down to the ground.

The pack begins to close the gap on Buck. The visibility is falling by the second. The pack must now rely on their ears.

The Daspletosaurus soon saw Littlefoot, Cera and Buck just ahead of him. And looks back to his mother and sisters as they followed.

Even though it will be hard to spot them through the snowing volcanic material, they will still be able to track them by hearing and smell.

Meanwhile, the trio have lost sight of the others as they looked around for them.

"Where are they?" Cera said trying to see ahead.

"I don't know." Littlefoot said. "They have to be here somewhere. Guys?!"

"Littlefoot?" Petrie's voice was heard. "Over here!"

Soon, sunlight shines through a gap in the cloud. And the rest of the group was seen.

"Come on." Littlefoot said.

They then hurried to the others. Half-delirious from shock, Buck makes for the others.

And they hurried to the others as the Daspletosaurus pack was now right behind them. But they strangely came to a stop as they were exhausted.

Weary from the long trek, suddenly faced a major investment of predatory energy.

The trio have finally made it to the others just as Buck as suddenly dropped to his knees. They quickly went over to him.

But soon, they will have a bigger problem.

Over 50 miles away, tension begins to occur at the volcano.

Rivers of lava, pushed up from the magma chamber, now bleed from the side vents in the mountain.

As lava continues pouring and spewing from the side vents, the volcano suddenly torn open a large explosion as a fiery glow was seen through the ash cloud.

Explosions rip from the cone, sending a hail of marble-sized debris miles into the sky. These air-filled volcanic fragments are called cinders.

Volcanic cinders were sent flying high into the air as volcanic lightning flashed.

And the creatures of the highlands are the first to feel their sting.

A few miles from the eruption, a pair of Troodons saw the eruption as small fragments hit the ground around them. And soon begin to flee.

The Troodons continue fleeing through the forest as smoke was carried by the wind.

Soon, an explosion was heard.

A new pulse from the cinder cone launches a bombardment boulder-sized lava fragments, and a barrage of lava bombs.

1 Troodon turns towards the volcano, and saw an army of lava bombs soaring through the air. And one of them looked it was coming right towards him.

As soon as he realized it, he turns and runs, but didn't get far as the lava bomb lands right on top of him.

The remaining turns to the lava bomb where it's hunting partner was. And soon, a lava bomb hits the ground near him as he takes off running.

Meanwhile, a new wave of destruction was beginning to happen at the volcano.

Weakened by the actions of magma and acidic gas, the entire east face of the mountain collapses, in the biggest eruption in this part of the world.

Soon, a colossal wave of ash flows down from the volcano.

A great wave of super-heated ash, rock and gas, roars across the uplands. A pyroclastic flow, temperatures within its mass exceed 800 degrees Fahrenheit.

A lone Troodon suddenly appeared and saw the pyroclastic flow approaching as it stared at it. But then saw it was coming at it, and turns and runs as it screeches.

Back in the lowlands, Littlefoot and his friends soon saw the flow and knew it wasn't good.

Some 50 miles away, the lowland dinosaurs process the oncoming flow as a threat.

"It like cloud." Petrie said. "But moving on ground."

"This is not good." Littlefoot said. "We gotta go now!"

They quickly helped Buck to his feet and begin to hurry as the young Daspletosaurus turns to his mother and she lets out a thunderous roar. She then turns around and heads off as the erupting volcano lets out a lava bomb and soars through the air, and the younger Daspletosaurs begin to follow her.

The mother Daspletosaurus quickly walks fast, but then Littlefoot and his friends, and the 2 younger Daspletosaurus quickly rushed in and flee. And soon ran pass her.

Some distance away, the wall of ash closes in.

Moving at close to the speed of sound, a wall of burning burning debris is about to erase the line between predator and prey.

Within a few minutes, the pyroclastic flow comes in view, and soon rushed over the area where they were.

Meanwhile, Littlefoot and his friends were still fleeing from the pyroclastic flow along with the Daspletosaurus pack. Littlefoot glanced back and saw it was beginning to close in, he then saw some distant hills not too far away.

"Guys, this way.!" Littlefoot yelled.

They quickly followed him as they peel away from the fleeing Daspletosaurus pack. The young juveniles gets ahead of his sisters, as they easily got ahead of their mother.

The mother continues fleeing as she glanced back, and soon within seconds, the pyroclastic flow rushed right on top of her.

Meanwhile, everything went slow-mo as the 3 remaining Daspletosaurs continued running with the wall of ash right behind them. Soon the ash hits the sisters as they screeched as they vanished in it. The juvenile continues running as fast as his legs can take him, but within moments, the ash nears him as he screeches and soon was carried off within the ash.

Meanwhile, Littlefoot and his friends have managed to reach the hills and well away from the flow's direction.

"That was close." Patchi said.

"You're telling me." Blue said.

"Guess we'll have to wait here for now." Dink said.

They then head off, and within a few minutes, they saw a shallow cave and they went in it and begin to get some sleep.

Meanwhile, the ash plume extends for 300 miles from the volcano, to the distant land.

Author's Note:

I just heard of rumor that Jurassic World: Dominion had just resumed filming again. I guess trying to finish where they left of, but I don't know if next June is still a possibly.

Also, in Season 2 of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, Ceratosaurus won't be the only dinosaur returning. Gallimimus will appear, and the return of Mamenchisaurus, and possibly even Triceratops.

And also, I just heard that legendary actor Sean Connery who played James Bonds, Henry Jones, and Draco has passed away at age 90. May him rest in peace.
