Chapter Nine - Luminescence

"He stepped down, trying not to look long at her, as if she were the sun, yet he saw her, like the sun, even without looking." - Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy

The gloves and scarf that once claimed a place in Lucy's small rucksack were now tightly placed on her, as she shivered at the freezing temperatures of Mount Hakobe. The cold itself was manageable, but what truly drove her crazy was the intense blizzard they were in. She strained against the wind, squinting to prevent the debris from entering her eyes, as they watered to desperately hold on to any moisture. Lucy clutched Devora's horns tighter, and cuddled into his fur, clutching onto any spare bit of warmth she could find. Devora's fur was warm, but there was something else that kept her from freezing to death - her Bound. Natsu's warmth never seemed like more of a blessing then it did now, and since Lucy couldn't get closer to Natsu without her heartbeat going into a frenzy, she did the next best thing. That was, until Natsu called her out on it.

"Lucy. You know you can get closer to me, right? I don't need you freezing to death and killing me, too, weirdo." Natsu said, as his magic increased the temperature around them.

"You two better not be getting freaky back there!" Gray shouted to the two behind him, smirking despite the harsh winds.

That was how Lucy found herself fearlessly- and even somewhat desperately - backing herself onto Natsu's chest as he increased his body heat. Lucy let out a shiver as his warmth spread into her core, reminding her of the times of her own time for a brief moment, before another wave of harsh wind slammed into them.

"Natsu, I think the storm is getting worse! We need to find a shelter right now! The stags probably won't be able to handle it any longer!" Gray shouted over the raging blizzards that surrounded them. The winds swallowed up any small hope of survival. Lucy knew she would've been dead long ago if it weren't for the two Magical men that protected her pathetic self…

Natsu shifted in his seat, his legs tightening around Devora's body as he let out a shout of agreement, despite his disapproval. His face twisted into one of distaste at the idea of stopping in a place like this.

Lucy was surprised to feel a low churning coming from within her lower abdomen, and a brief realisation slammed into her- she was beginning to feel Natsu's emotions too! An involuntary smile made its way onto her face at her discovery, filling her with pride and happiness.

"What are you so happy about, Lucy?" Natsu spoke into her ear, feeling the wave of calm wash over himself. Even during a snowstorm, Lucy's emotions were loud and clear in his soul, and he couldn't help but feel mesmerised by the intensity of this magic. Magic of the Souls- it was truly a magnificent thing, and one could not understand its greatness without actually being in its place. He wondered if this was what Mavis and Zeref felt toward each other; was this Magic the reason they were so willing to fight? Was this magic the reason they didn't stop at anything that came their way? Deep down, though, Natsu suspected it was something else that kept them together, though he couldn't quite place his finger on it, and the thought soon drowned inside the battles that forever raged in his head.

"Nothing. I think I'm starting to feel your emotions a lot more now! Before, I could only feel little bits, and only if they were extremely strong. But I'm starting to feel a lot more, now." Lucy responded. And it was true, she was really happy about it. She felt it was a bit unfair that Natsu could feel her emotions while she could barely grab a hold of her own emotions, but that was besides the point. Natsu was so mysterious to her, and she felt better having access to a part of him that was inaccessible by everyone else.

Natsu nodded, showing disinterest, but this small fact brought in a new wave of concern. If Lucy's senses were getting stronger, it meant that she was gathering more ethernano- a good sign. But what concerned him wasn't that, it was the fact that his identity lay on the line. If Lucy was beginning to feel his own emotions, she would soon figure out his true identity, especially since they were Blessed Bounds.

He sighed into the winds, letting his doubt seep out of him.

He'd just have to trust her- though that had never worked out for him before, but he'd still have to do it.

He'd have to trust her like he trusted everyone else. Trust her like he trusted Igneel. Trust her like he trusted Zeref. Trust her like he trusted Anna. So far, that ended in tragedies that slowly chipped away at his scarce sanity.

This thought should have sent him into a rage, but surprisingly, it didn't. He seemed to descend into a melancholy acceptance, as the battles of pain grew louder in his head. He hoped that Lucy wouldn't steal the rest of his sanity. He hoped that she would help restore it.. He hoped. Something told him it would bring a lot of pain, but what was he to do? She was his bound, and the girl trusted him. And she didn't deserve to be Bound to a psychopath like himself. His emotions were always raging inside him in a violent storm, growing louder and louder as time passed. He knew he was barely holding his Demon inside. He knew that it was clawing at his insides, and that if another small piece of his sanity and soul is stripped away, it would escape.

"Natsu? Are you alright? I- I can't even-" Lucy's throat clogged up as the raw intensity of Natsu's emotions slammed into her, and she gasped for breath as tears welled up in her eyes. She felt suffocated as her soul mingled in Natsu's feelings, and she coughed, reaching for bits of calm.

"LUCY! What's wrong!" He shouted, stopping in his spot. His arm wrapped around Lucy, holding her tighter against him, as he remembered a dire fact. "Oh no.. She must be feeling all my emotions since the moment we bonded! This is bad! GRAY! Build a shelter right now! Lucy's in Anima Sorbere!" Natsu shouted, his Dragon Lungs powering up and delivering the message to Gray over the unending storm.

"Oh Shit! Natsu! Bring her here!"

Natsu rode over to Gray as fast as the stag allowed, stopping right beside him.

"Ice Make: Snow Igloo!" Gray chanted, channeling his magic into the stance. In a sudden flash of light, the trio and the stags found themselves settled inside a large dome of ice, sheltering them from the raging storm.

Natsu hopped off the stag immediately, Lucy in his arms. He laid her down on a blanket he ripped out his pack, and increased the temperature inside their cozy shelter.

"Natsu. There's nothing to do for now, just let her rest. It'll be over in a few minutes." Gray spoke, walking away from the stags who were now secured in their section of the igloo. Natsu gave a short nod in agreement, but never left the girl's side as she writhed in discomfort.

As expected, Lucy calmed down by the end of ten minutes- though Anima Sorbere typically only lasts for 5 minutes at the max. Natsu knew this was nothing to be worried about, though, since they were Blessed Bounds, afterall.

Lucy sneezed, and wiped her chilly nose as she sat up from the event. She gasped for air as her memories caught up, and settled into a comfortable position and watched as the two boys watched her with concern.

"You okay, Lucy?" Gray asked with worry. He scooted closer to her, as did Natsu.

"Yeah, I'm feeling better, thanks. What- What exactly was that? I felt like I was drowning in smoke or something.. I could breathe, but I couldn't at the same time-" Lucy rambled as she rubbed her slightly aching chest.

"Anima Sorbere." Natsu explained. "You just felt all the emotion I felt over the past week in ten minutes."

Lucy nodded in slight understanding, though she still didn't grasp the situation completely.

"Well.. I guess it's over now." She said. Seeing Natsu pacing around, she scooted over in her blanket, allowing space for Natsu to sit down. Gray was already laying comfortably on the icy floor.

"Gray, are you sure you're not cold?" Lucy asked, concerned. She was fully aware that Gray was indeed an Ice Wizard, but she couldn't help but cringe as Gray's almost bare back made contact with the freezing ice below him.

"I'm fine, let it go. The cold never bothered me, anyway." Gray said back, twisting his neck to look at her. Lucy's lip twitched as faint memories about her childhood in the Novus Era came back to her. 'Now.. where have I heard that phrase before…?'

"Alright, then. Natsu, come sit down here."

"You just want to use me as a heater!" He snarked back.

".. Maybe."

Gray and Lucy laughed as Natsu grumbled, begrudgingly plopping down next to Lucy as she basked in the warmth that rolled off Natsu, a pleasured sigh escaping her lips. She shifted closer to Natsu since, one, the Blanket was short, and two, he was practically inviting her through his body heat. Natsu grunted as Lucy's satisfaction tugged at his abdomen.

"Alright, so I know I should have asked before, but.. What exactly are we supposed to be doing? I'm uh.. A bit lost..." Lucy stuttered, fiddling with her fingers in embarrassment.

"I'm not really surprised- not even everyone from this time knows much about Mythical Creatures. I guess you would need an explanation, huh?" Gray said, with Natsu nodding in agreement. Gray continued to explain to Lucy about the Kuraokami, and Mythics in general.

"Mythics are usually summoned when there is something of importance that is found in Earthland, so you won't usually see them roaming around aimlessly. But, some, like Unicorns, Fairies and Dragons, and High Tier Demons - I'll get to them soon - do roam around freely. But we don't consider them basic Mythics, but as races. There are five main races, Dragon, Fairy, Human, Demon and General Mythics. Of course, there's the Celestial Race, but we don't consider them a part of Earthland, more like beings that watch over us from above. The Kings of the Races, besides the Demon Race, are basically the rulers of Magic."

"The Dragon King is Igneel, Natsu's father. Of course, nobody but the Celestial King knows about the Demon King's identity. The Humans don't really have a King, but we consider the Emperors of Ishgar our representatives, and the Kings of each country. So Fiore's representative would be King Toma E. Fiore. The other continents have their own ruler, own lore, etc. The Fairy Queen's identity is actually a huge secret. Nobody knows besides those who were present in the Mythical Wars. Meaning that Natsu would know." Gray shot a pointed look at said Dragonslayer.

Lucy felt her abdomen clench dramatically, and she realised that this was Natsu's emotions. Her eyes darted to him, a deep foreboding dread filling her core. It was a warning. She should keep her opinions to herself. She could almost hear his emotions ringing in her ears. 'Dread.. He's about to lie then. He's telling me to not say anything..'

Natsu's face though, stayed as calm as ever.

"Yeah, I do! Jealous Gray?" He snickered, desperately trying to remove the tension and attention away from the situation. Apparently, it worked, and Gray just growled at him, spitting out verbal insults as the two continued to argue.

Lucy though, now knew something was very… wrong. Just one more hint.. Just one thing was blocking her path to the answer. 'What is it?!'

"That's enough! Gray! Natsu!" She shouted, channelling her inner Erza.

Gray gulped, clearing his throat as he continued his explanation, and Natsu settled himself next to Lucy, arms crossed. 'He's definitely not telling me something. I have to figure this out.. What is it!'

"Sorry. Anyways, about Demons. The Demons from the books of Zeref, simply known as Zeref's Demons, or just Demons, were - obviously - Demons that Zeref created. Each demon had their soul stored in a Book. There were different tiers, or rankings, too. For example, Galuna Island has Demons which are not hostile at all. They still exist to this day. And Imps are actually descendants of Demons, but they have their own soul. But anyway, the highest ranking Demon was obviously the Demon King, but not much is known about him."

'If I took a shot each time he said Demon, I'd have liver failure in 2 minutes.' Lucy thought.

"They were brothers, weren't they? Zeref and the Demon King?" She asked. "Natsu told me that."

Gray frowned, but nodded, agreeing. "Zeref's direct Demon personnel were the Nine Demon Gates, but the Spriggans were his actual servers. But they weren't Demons. My father, Silver, was actually part of the Nine Demon Gates." Gray chuckled at Lucy's shocked expression. "Yes, that makes me a Half Demon."

"Uh- Wow. That's news to me.." Lucy said, chuckling nervously. "How am I supposed to react to this..? Is that bad?"

Gray completely laughed at this. "Don't worry about it, Lucy. I only inherited my father's Demon Slaying abilities. It's a complicated story, but pretty much, Dad was only there to kill E.N.D. The Demon King, a total nutcase. His only objective was to defeat him. "

Lucy started to speak, but the intense tug in her abdomen told her to do otherwise, so she silenced herself. Lucy didn't like Gray speaking about the Demon King like that, but she understood that it was closely related to his personal life. But that wasn't why Natsu wanted her to not say anything, was it? Something was very off here, and she was determined to figure it out. 'Why doesn't Natsu want me to say anything..? What am I missing here!?'

"Well anyway, Zeref and his Demons were executed at the end of the Mythical Wars, and Igneel killed E.N.D, so that was that. Only the Half-Demons and bookless Demons were left. That was around the time that Natsu joined the guild, too."

Natsu nodded in confirmation. "Yeah. Igneel actually made me promise to join a guild after the War was over a long time ago."

Lucy's stomach dropped, and churned uncomfortably. 'A Lie. Why would he lie about that?'

"The Galuna Demons were actually somehow alive even after the destruction of their Books, and that's a mystery to this day. It might have had something to do with the whole Moon Drip fiasco, though.. Forget that!"

"And Oh yeah, there are two types of Mythics: Light and Dark Mythics. Light Mythics are the typical ones, such as Kuraokami, Unicorns, Dragons, Fairies, Basilisks, Pegasi, Goblins. Actually, all the Mythics are technically Light Mythics, but if they're affected by the Anti-Ethernano, then they're called Dark Mythics since they aren't sane anymore. But the mischievous ones, like Imps, Erlkings - those are nasty, Ghouls and Werewolves are usually supporters of Black magic or use it, so they're considered Dark. Then of course, Zeref's Demons are Dark Mythics, since their life source comes from Zeref himself. I wonder what type of mythic Zeref was. There's so much that no one knows about Demons and Zeref-"

"He's not a Mythic." Natsu interrupted. His eyes were slitted in a fake, disinterested gaze as he now lay comfortably on his back. All eyes turned on him, especially Gray's.

"What do you mean?" He responded harshly.

"Zeref wasn't a mythic. He was a Human. A user of written magic. " Natsu grunted back, his face stuck in an expression of distaste.

"And The Demon King, E.N.D, was his brother." Natsu practically purred this sentence, though, and a condescending smile flashed on his face. "Not many know this, but Zeref actually brought his dead younger brother back to life as the Demon King. I shouldn't really tell you this, but Zeref only fell into the darkness because he couldn't find an… ethical method to bring his brother back to life- something that should never be done anyway. That's why the Eclipse gate was made, too."

Gray immediately began snarling at Natsu.

"How the fuck do you know so much about Zeref, you bastard? Tell me!" He said, his eyes set in an icy, piercing glare at Natsu. His fists were shaking as he barely kept his composure against the so-called Dragon.

"You know. I've been around for a long time. It only makes sense that I know-"

"Don't give me that bullshit! Not even Silver knew that! Don't tell me that shit and expect me to believe it, you fucking scoundrel!" He shouted, now standing up.

Natsu, on the other hand, locked eyes with Gray calmly, a smirk making its way onto his face. He seemed to be hiding something big, and Lucy could see that, as she observed it quietly, startled by Gray's outburst. Her own emotions were wack, and she could barely decipher what Natsu was feeling at that moment.

'The Demon King, or END, and Zeref were brothers.. END was killed by Igneel, which at the same time was when Natsu Dragneel showed up to Fairy Tail.' Natsu had always spoken about Zeref as if he'd known him personally…

.

"Zeref was the one who taught Mavis magic, and that was how she created Fairy Tail. So, in a way, Zeref was one of the founders, too. Tch- that Bastard. They were even engaged."

He mind raced, as she thought back to the night that Natsu had taught her about Zeref and the history of Fiore.

"Nothing- I, I dunno why I'm crying, it's just that-" Lucy choked on her tears, letting out a sob as tears came tumbling out. "I- E.N.D, he-" She paused again, letting out a few tears. "The Demon King didn't deserve to die! You literally told me that he was being used- how could Igneel kill him? Zeref was dead anyway, so his magic would have run out- and, if his magic had run out, E.N.D wouldn't have been a demon and would have been normal and- Natsu, why did your dad kill him!?" She continued to sob, awkwardly wrapping her arms around Natsu for comfort.

Lucy's eyes widened as a huge realisation made its way into her thoughts. 'That's exactly what happened! Igneel never killed The Demon King! END's demonic magic, or at least what bound him to Zeref would have worn out when Zeref died, so he was a normal Human again? Which means...' She slowly picked up her breaths. Sweat trickled down her back in a path of ice despite the freezing temperatures. Her eyes widened, and her hands were clutching each other in an iron grip. Natsu twisted his lips into a psychotic grin as Lucy realised the impossible.

'He's a Full Demon- no. The Demon King.' Lucy took a sharp intake of breath that went unnoticed by Gray, but she knew Natsu noticed. She quietly eyed Natsu, watching Natsu's almost evil grin working it's way on to his face. Her nails were digging into her skin at this point, nearly drawing blood. He knew she knew. Her gut clenched, telling her that Natsu was still wary of her. She knew that she should keep quiet about it- they needed to talk about this as soon as they physically could. Lucy slid deeper into her trance of realisation and fear, as newfound respect blinded her.

"So shouts a Half-Demon." He sneered sharply. "Son of the Traitor of Demons. Why don't you lower your voice? You really should respect your elders, Kid."

"WHY YOU-"

"If you stay out of my business, I'll stay out of yours. What about that?"

"No! What the hell do you mean, Traitor of the Demons?"

"It means exactly what you think it means. A traitor is a traitor no matter where, or what race. Get that into your thick head." Natsu smirked back. "But that's besides the point. I've been around since your father was resurrected, Gray Fullbuster, and you're only here because I swore to your father that I'd protect your ass. So quiet down."

That seemed to have caught Gray off guard, and he stumbled back with wide eyes. "You- You What!?"

"I told your pesky father that I wouldn't reveal that to you, but you were getting out of hand. That's right, I'm your Sworn Protector. What about it?" Natsu grinned evilly. "You know Ur? Of course you do. You only ended up with her because your father made sure you'd survive. Loser. He stayed protecting your ass till his last breath. Don't disrespect his Legacy, Fullbuster, I swear I'll murder you if you do. I had to risk the entire War to get you to her."

"Yeah? You should've left me there to die then."

Lucy stayed quiet till that point. But a rage boiled in Lucy at that moment, a rage that was hers, and hers alone. Natsu's eyes snapped towards her, a quick gesture of surprise.

A loud slam echoed in the tense atmosphere as Lucy's heavy breaths filled the air.

She had slapped him.

"Gray!" She snarled. Her eyes were filled with angry tears, her cheeks flushed with colour. "Don't you ever say that again! Respect your life, Gray, y-you don't know how much I'd give-" Her voice trembled as she backed away, memories of her late Guardian filled her head. 'Ms Spetto...'

She plopped down where she was, shook. It was too much for her to handle, both about Natsu and Gray.

There was a silence, a loud silence. Lucy enjoyed the brief moments of quiet to gather herself- she knew that it wouldn't last for long.

"I- I'm sorry, Lucy. I didn't know, I-"

"It's okay, Gray. Let's just wrap up. It's dark anyway." She responded, her voice cracking. Lucy was exhausted by the events of the day, but she knew she wouldn't be able to sleep.

"Yeah. Good idea. Sorry, again. We need to take shift keeping watch, I can-"

"I'll take the first shift." Nastu interrupted gruffly.

Gray frowned, but ultimately agreed.

An hour later, Lucy found herself shifting quietly inside her sleeping bag, unable to sleep. Gary lay on the other side of the igloo, snoring softly, and Natsu was positioned in front of the opening of the quaint igloo.

"Lucy. Get over here if you can't sleep." Natsu said quietly, whispering to her. 'I can guess why…'

Lucy was completely awake at this point. She slowly stripped herself away from the sleeping bag, making her way to the Dragon Slayer- if she could still call him one at this point.

"Yeah…"

She settled herself close to Natsu, grasping on to the waves of heat rolling off his body. Lucy was quite thankful that her Bound was centered around fire.

"I know you know, Lucy. And I want you to know that it's a Draconic secret. No other soul, except those that were around since the Mythical Wars know of my identity. And the stars, of course. You will find out in due time, but I need you to keep this hidden for the rest of your existence. I hope you understand." Natsu spoke gruffly, completely serious.

Lucy couldn't help but admire this side of Natsu; it was so rarely shown. "Of course, Natsu. I understand." she said with a soft smile. The both of them started into the white landscape that surrounded them, the raging storm gone. It was replaced by a serene trickle of snow, the night sky clear to the naked eye.

"That's Leo there." Lucy said, pointing at a constellation above them.

Natsu stared at the mess of stars above them, confused. "Stars don't make sense to me." He said, scrunching his nose in confusion.

"Also." Lucy said, facing Natsu. A sweet grin stretched itself onto her face.

"BE NICER TO GRAY, ASSHOLE!" She whisper-shouted, quickly extending an angry punch towards Natsu. Caught by surprise, the fist made contact with Natsu, causing him to yelp in pain.

"Geez Luce! You have a good right hook!" He groaned, massaging his throbbing cheek. "And I'm sorry. If I hadn't, he'd've uh.. You know. I had to make him think of something else. Even if he hates me now… I mean he's always hated me. Makes my job easier." He dropped his hand.

He smirked as a mischievous thought rang in his head.

"You do realise that you punched the all-powerful Demon King, right?" He purred, facing himself toward Lucy. His eyes slitted into a patronising gaze, his smirk holding a sense of authority Lucy never saw in him before.

She gulped at the sight before her.

"Yeah, and?" She replied, holding herself against his words. "What are you gonna do about it, Demon King?" She smirked, leaning towards him.

Natsu slowly edged closer, their faces millimeters apart. His gaze never left hers, and his body heat increased the temperature in their cores. Both refused to move, not giving up.

Natsu smirked, a low growl resonating in his chest as he slowly licked his lips. Lucy twitched, unable to understand what she felt as Natsu's gaze stared into her soul.

He leaned closer gradually, and Lucy closed her eyes, expecting.. Expecting.. something!

Natsu's smirk widened out of Lucy's sight as he finally... blew a hot puff of air onto Lucy's face. "I'll have to take you down, then." he whispered into her ear. He split away from her, leaving the girl frozen to her spot, still leaning towards him. Lucy snapped her eyes open, her cheeks flushing with colour as she realised what just happened.

He was staring at the stars as if nothing happened, but she could make out the shit-eating smirk on his face. 'Damn it!'

She was embarrassed and.. disappointed? at the situation, so she just collapsed back, unable to process what she felt.

"F-Fuck you, Dragneel." She stuttered, turning her gaze away from the man, embarassed. He'd won. For now.

Loke stared at the duo below him, exasperated by the events of the past few hours. The King and himself and been watching over the events of this particular day closely.

"She is aware of the identity of her Bound now, my King. What's out next move?" He asked, unsure what to do. They were put in a difficult situation, and Loke couldn't deny this. He was unsure as to how deeply the two had bonded, but he hoped that the spell he had enchanted them with would delay Lucy's binding, but he was obviously unsuccessful. Just how powerful was their binding!? He used the strongest spell at his disposal, too, and this was a direct order from the Celestial King. How could it have been undone so quickly?

"I am sure that you understand the circumstances of Lucy Heartfilia's arrival, Loke. This was not a coincidence at all. I'm sure that this is clear. The binding that Lucy and Natsu have caused Lucy to come to this time plane to fulfil their Purpose."

"Purpose? What does that mean?" Loke questioned.

"Leo, leader of the Celestials, I am trusting this information with you, aware that you will keep this safe for the entirety of your life." The King spoke, his booming voice thundering inside the Celestial plane.

"Yes, of course."

"Blessed Bounds are not merely created out of boredom. Each have a Purpose for their arrival, as does each occurrence in the living world. Blessed Bounds simply have a greater impact than others, a significant one that might result in damage to their very souls."

"Each pair of Blessed Bounds are assigned a prophecy, one that is a Song written in the Lost Language of the Stars. There were only two known beings that were able to decipher this lost language, excluding the past Celestial Kings. One of them was Anna Heartfilia." The King spoke.

Loke furrowed his brows. This was the first time that he had heard the Celestial King speak about this Lost Language- most had considered it Taboo.

"Who was the other?" Loke asked, though he had an idea already.

"Layla Heartfilia."

Loke laughed, grinning with pride. "She did it! I'm so proud of her! Layla- Wow. This woman really is great!" Loke exclaimed, as pride filled him. She was awesome and he knew it! No one could tell him otherwise- as if they would dare to do so.

"That's right. I passed my knowledge of the language to Layla, and she learnt it by her own will. She rewrote the Prophecy for her daughter and her Bound into a Human Language and made sure that Lucy would grow up hearing this song. It was very clever of her to do so… But I'm afraid you cannot mention this Song to Lucy at all. It is so deeply ingrained into her memories that she will be fully aware of what song you're speaking about if you ever decided to mention it."

"Understood. What is our next move, though, King? Lucy is not someone we can stall for very long. It's a lot like her mother, actually."

"She is not ready to learn this information at this moment in time. For now, continue to train her into a warrior like her mother was, or even better. The poor soul needs as much strength as possible."

"What do you mean, King? Why is that?" Loke asked, confused. 'Poor Soul?'

"Are you not aware of the fate of all Blessed Bounds? Leo, I expected better from you- Please study the Celestial Records as soon as you can. You will need all the knowledge possible."

A chill ran down Loke's spine as he realised what the King was speaking about. 'Oh No...'

"Oh no.. Zeref & Mavis, Anna & Acnologia.. They were the only Blessed Bounds of this Lifetime! And after their prophecies were complete, they all- NO! I cannot allow this!" He shouted, losing his patience. 'They all died tragic deaths- right in front of each other's eyes...'

"I'm sorry, Leo. Lucy Heartfilia and Natsu Dragneel will not have a happy ending. This is the fate of all Blessed Bounds - Death."
