In the streets fire-lit, radioactive-stricken ruins of Fukushima, people struggled to find shelter and reunite with their families in a safer place.
Those who barely survived the horrific events of tonight and desperately tried to stay warm gathered around a bonfire and sat in blankets, shivering from the cold as a few fainted from radiation sickness. It wouldn't be until dawn when the authorities and the medics came to help the survivors relocate elsewhere.
Not to far off on another destroyed district, the teenage, American boy roamed the ruins as he tried to find a place to stay for the night and be safe from the radioactivity that covered the area. He couldn't become radioactive, any prolonged exposure and he feared he would become a zombie.
"Must find shelter, this feels like I'm in Hell." He was saying breathlessly, the boy was a nervous wreck.
Eventually, he discovered what he was looking for... a brown motor-home, sitting in the ruins amongst the rubble of a decimated apartment. "Shelter at last!" The boy said happily and ran towards it, avoiding the patches of burning fire until he got to the door.
Making sure it was not already occupied, he tested the knob. It was locked. Either way, he needed to get inside so he knocked on the door. "Go away." Somebody said on the other side in an Austrian accent!
"Come on, pal!" The boy yelled, "Let me in, I need shelter."
"Find some underground shelter, this is my motorhome."
"Hey, come out or I'm gonna be mad."
The trailer shook as somebody tall approached the door and the boy backed away a bit slowly so the door wouldn't hit him. The lock clicked and a tall, Austrian emerged, looking at him square in the eye.
"Piss off, ass!" The Austrian said.
Getting impatient at this point, the boy balled his hand up into a fist and punched the man in the gut, causing him to double over in pain before passing out after a combination of a bonk in the head and a nerve pinch, courtesy of the young, brown haired American.
With his rival taken care of, the boy climbed into the van, shut and locked the door and got into bed, eager to rest at last.
Meanwhile, Shin Godzilla continued to slumber as people struggled to survive and avoid encountering him due to his radioactive aurora. The beast stood still, not a movement or a twitch. His huge tail stood still, pointed towards the east.
The grotesque tip of the tail had changed a bit, it was resembling a face, a hideous face. The mouth was curled into an angry growl. But nothing would happen anytime soon, Shin Godzilla did not need to evolve again... for now!
Close by, a man in a radiation suit observed with a camera, his associate also observing. They were scientists answering to the government. Given that the officials would be trying to figure out how to defeat this thing now, the scientists would be observing the huge creature, looking for weak points and analyzing the horrifying and nightmare-invoking Godzilla 1954 reincarnation...
The next morning, the fires had burned out and most of the radioactivity in the area had subsided, blown out to sea.
The authorities were hard at work gathering survivors and taking them to hospital for medical treatment, firefighters worked to put out any fires that were still burning while helping to clear away the rubble as they helped search for survivors of last night's events. Humanitarian aid from the U.S was there too, providing relief as well.
News reporters were on the scene too, reporting on the situation and calling it the second time Fukushima was struck by disaster as well as the first time the Incident took place since 2011, calling Fukushima 2.0.
Many called the Shin Godzilla attack a repeat of 1945's Hiroshima and Nagasaki before dubbing the towering, sleeping beast a living nuclear weapon and the embodiment of the 1945 bombing and the events of 2011. "The devastation here sure does invoke images of all three catastrophes." One reporter said. "Pretty terrifying, isn't it?"
Those contaminated with radiation but still alive were quarantined by the humanitarian aid officers assisting with the relocation of survivors, many were given special medicine that cured radiation sickness within a matter of minutes.
Close by, Shin still slumbered as many people watched and failed to notice that his dorsal plates and the cracks in his skin were starting to glow a faded purple. This signaled that he was regaining strength and could wake up any time.
By the end of the day, there would be a bit of major changes with the country and within Fukushima.
While the city would be rebuilt, there was the high chance that it would be partially uninhabitable, not to mention the fact it could become a super mega stronghold against giant monsters.
