New Life- Episode 19
Ece and Efi
Once Efi is brought home everyone is showering him with affection and attention….. Ece is puzzled as to why she is no longer getting the same. The happy smile and the joy that was always present in Ece begins to fade.
Her thoughts begin to form that she is no longer wanted…. She sees her mother always with Efi and not with her. Ece begins to withdraw and becomes very sad.
Yasemin has become pre occupied with getting Efi into a normal schedule , with sleeping, breast feeding, diaper changes, and over all supervision of a new born. She assumed Ece would understand. The signs of Ece's unhappiness came to fruition when Ece is spending time with Nevin at the foundation and she rushes to hug her
Ece: You're still my mommy… aren't you
Nevin: Of course I'm your mommy….. What's the matter sweetheart… why are you so sad
Ece: Mommy Yasemin , doesn't love me anymore…. She only loves the new baby… everybody loves the new baby
Nevin: No sweetheart, they love you very much… the new baby needs a little extra love that now he has been born
Nevin realizes that Ece has never had to share and this has become a shock to her that things aren't the same… She calls Yasemin to tell her what Ece is feeling.
Nevin: Yasemin… have you noticed any changes in Ece…. Today she came crying and was real upset…. I think she is getting jealous of the baby
Yasemin: Efi, has been a handful getting him on schedule…. I haven't given Ece as much attention… I assumed she understood….. What did she say
Nevin: She is thinking no one loves her any more…. She asked me if I was still her mommy
Yasemin: That explains why she has been staying away from Efi…. Thank you for telling me… I will make it up to her
Yasemin calls Adem and informs him of Ece's feelings and what they both need to do before a big problem develops with her.
Yasemin: Adem ….We both need to get her involved and not assume she understands what's involved with the new baby… I let her down
Adem: This has been new for both of us… I'll spend more time with her
Yasemin: We both will and we need to make her apart of Efi's life also… We can't let learn to resent him.
At dinner both Yasemin and Adem see the changed look on Ece and realize that starting tonight things will change
Yasemin: Ece, sweetheart… Efi has been taking so much of me… I miss our mommy daughter walks at night…. Would you like that…. Just you and me
Ece: Yes, mommy….A smile comes to her face, just her mommy again
As they walk to the shoreline…. Yasemin starts a dialogue that will start helping Ece understand what has been happening.
Yasemin: When I was a little girl just like you and my mom brought home Faruk as a baby…. Did you know , I didn't like Faruk very much…. I didn't like him… he made my mommy do everything for him….she had to feed him, change him, give him baths and then she had to rock him when cried and he cried alot. Then she even had to rock him to sleep with a little lullaby song.
I even started to think my mommy didn't love me anymore.
Ece: Did your mommy stop loving you
Yasemin: No, she loved me even more, when I started to help my mommy take care of Faruk….. He was so little, he couldn't do anything for himself. He needed help from everybody. Each time I helped him he gave me a big smiles.
Ece: When did he start to do things for himself
Yasemin: As he started growing , walking and talking he learned to do those things himself... Guess what happened after that
Ece: What happened?
Yasemin: We became the best of friends… You know how much I love Uncle Faruk, today.
Ece: Uncle Faruk is alot of Fun.
Yasemin: Who you like to start helping me with Efe… He needs alot of things and I could really use your help… he is making me so tired
Ece: Yes mommy, I'll help you
Yasemin: my beautiful daughter… I love you so much
The happy smile returns on Ece's face. That night Ece helps with Efi's bath and sees how Yasemin breast feeds him and then changes him. Then they put him into the crib so he can sleep. Yasemin then helps Ece with her bath and combs her hair .
Yasemin: Ece… you've been such a good helper tonight, do you want to sleep with Daddy and I tonight.
Ece immediately jumps into bed with them … her mommy daddy love her like before. As Ece and Efi grow they form a loving bound that becomes unbreakable. Though they are 8 years apart in age Efi knows that his big sister will always have his back and gets him out of more trouble that he gets himself into.
Ece grows into becoming a very beautiful model / actress and appears on many covers of Istanbul magazines. When the Papparazzi discover that Efi is Ece little brother, he becomes the teen heartthrob of Istanbul , because he has Yasemin's stellar looks and a rather a developing playboy image.
The love between Yasemin and Adem produced two more children a girl named Zuhre and a boy named Seyit. These two have a mixture of their parents great looks, but unlike Ece and Efi they shun the limelight they both maintain Adem's temperament and prefer working in the family businesses The New Life Foundation and the Sahin Security. They covet the simple life.
Gokce and Faruk
When last we talked of Gokce and Faruk their online romance was stuck between Istanbul and New York City. The great fund raising generated by Gokce campaign, New Life Foundation begins expansion throughout Europe and The United States.
Gokce makes the trip to the states to open a New Life Foundation in New York City. Her intention is to either get Faruk to come back to Istanbul and become her husband or she will break off their romance and go their separate ways.
Gokce: Faruk , we have been doing this online thing and it's just not going anywhere….. Do you want to be with me or not….. I'm through looking at my I Pad…. I'm starting to believe you've played a game with me… I'm not playing any more Faruk.
Faruk: It's not a game… I do love you Gokce….. What will I do in Istanbul…. How will I support you?…. I've been trying to find suitable work , but I've failed.
Gokce: The distance between us is to great… for this to continue… even though I love you….. I'm leaving tomorrow. I just can't keep hoping that it will work out… Good Bye Faruk.
Faruk knows that he has lost Gokce for good if he doesn't do something quick… He call's Yasemin
Faruk: Yasemin, What should I do… I love Gokce but , she will no longer wait for me to find a job in Istanbul…
Yasemin: Faruk… are you serious that you want to make a life with Gokce….. I consider Gokce a daughter as well as a friend…. If you are not serious let her be….. If you are serious. I will make some calls and see what I can come up with.
Faruk: Sister… I really love Gokce… I want a life with her
Yasemin: Get on the plane with her tomorrow…. Don't let her leave without you….. and we will all help finding you something
Faruk takes his sisters advise and surprises Gokce at the airport
Faruk: Gokce…. I couldn't have you leave without me….. Losing you would be the worst mistake I would ever make…. I will do what ever I have to... to be able to support us.
Gokce: Faruk, together we can make anything work… I have a job and make money….. that gives you the time to find something…. You love me enough to come back with me… that's all I was looking for….. I love you … now we will make it work
The 11 hour air flight to Istanbul wasn't as long , now that they were together. Once they landed… Fatih picks them up at the airport and brings them to the mansion. As they enter the house Ece sees her uncle and greets him with excitement.
Ece: Uncle… come see my baby brother, Efi…. I help mommy take care of him
Yasemin brings Efi out so that Gokce and Faruk can see how big he is getting.
Faruk: My sister, A mother with two children….. When you let me get on that plane without you… I wondered if I would ever see you again. You look very happy sister….. Allah is smiling on you and your family.
Yasemin: Things have a way in working out… I'm certain everything will work out for you and Gokce. True love finds a way. You can stay in the Guest House until you and Gokce decide on other matters.
In a conversation with Nevin when they were talking about how well Ece responded with the Mother Daughter talk about Helping with Efi, Yasemin mentioned how the Gokce , Faruk situation in that they can't get married, until Faruk finds a suitable job.
Nevin relates that in formation to Timur.
Nevin: Timur, you have been looking for away to do something good for Gokce.
Timur: What way?
Nevin: Gokce came back to Istanbul with Faruk. It looks like they are in love but won't get married until Faruk finds a suitable employment. What did you have him do the last time you hired him… Can you provide suitable employment…. You will make Gokce very happy.
Timur: Not only did you rebuild me…. Now you are rebuilding my family…. I have something he could be good at and also learn the business . This Business will belong to Gokce one day.
The Next day Timur calls Faruk to see if they could have lunch and talk over a business opportunity.
Timur: It has come to my attention that you may become my son in law, once you find suitable employment.
Faruk: I love Gokce very much, but I can't come to you, to ask for her hand in marriage, until which time, I can afford to support her.
Timur: Now that I'm operating an honest business…. Gokce is my sole heir ….. I could bring you in to learn the business and You and Gokce could have a secure future. Would you be interest.
Faruk: There are no more illegalities .
Timur: That part of my life is over…. I'm an honest Business Man… I would loose everything once again….. if I faltered.
Faruk: Let me talk to Gokce, first to make sure she is ok with it.
Timur: Of course talk to Gokce
That night in the Guest House Faruk tells Gokce of her fathers offer
Faruk: He wants to teach me the business , so I could run it once you inherited it. He said it's completely honest and no corruption. What do you think
Gokce: My father is trying to rehabilitate himself and my father is very good at what he does. Learning the business from him would be the best teacher. I say take it
Faruk calls Timur to accept the offer and then begins work by becoming Timurs assistant.
Months pass and then Faruk , Yasemin, Gokce and Adem, go to Timur and Nevin's house to officially ask for Gokce's hand in marriage. Timur approves and the ribbon is cut , so Gokce and Faruk are officially engaged .
Gokce and Faruk are anxious to start their married life and within a month they are married. They decide to get a apartment that they can afford but they still attend dinners at both the mansion with Yasemin and Adem and also Timur and Nevin's house.
Fatih and Fatma
The implied love story between Fahit and Fatma finally came about when Fahit allowed himself to be who he was without trying to set up a scenario of who he was not. Fatma has loved Fatih for who he has always been , she didn't need to be impressed with appearances.
As a wedding present Yasemin and Adem gave them the guest House to live as man and wife. Fatma took notes of all the things Yasemin did for Adem in consummating the marriage, Fatih has become a very thankful husband.
In closing all the events that have occurred since that last scene in Episode 9 , happened because Yasemin loved Adem so that she couldn't leave him and start her New Life - Yeni Hayat - with Him.
