Colby was on the phone with lab techs when he noticed Alan coming into the office and he motioned to Megan to go talk to the nervous Eppes patriarch.
"Alan, are you ok?" Megan asked, worried, "We told you to wait with your grandkids with Amita and Robin."
"I'm sorry but I wanted to see how things were going and I'm just worried about my boys." Alan said, looking really close to tears
"Alan…" Megan said softly, "it'll be okay, we will find Don, Charlie, and Jack before you know it, we just have to find a lead on them."
"I know, I have always hoped that this was something that would never happen to either of them."
"I know but I promise we will get them back soon." Megan said
Before Alan could say anything else, Martin came into the room with Colby in tow with a look that said that he had some news.
"What is it?" Megan asked
"We got a lead on the vehicle that took them and that it was stolen the day before Don and Charlie and Jack were taken."
"Did they find the car?" Megan asked, hoping for more good news
"They found one matching the description, yes, but they are not sure if it is the same one or if it will contain any evidence at all." Martin said, not happy with what he was told
"Can we take a look?" Megan asked
"Sure, we are heading over to the station as well." Martin said
Megan turned to Alan and she knew that her friend shouldn't come with and she needed him to head home.
"Alan, go home and stay there, as your family needs you to be safe." Megan said
"But…" Alan began to protest
"We'll call you when we find out anything new, please just trust us to do our jobs and we will find them." Megan said, hoping that her message was loud and clear to him
"All right, just please find them."
"We will." Megan promised
'And we will make sure that they all come out of this alive.'
