bonkxd; Kuroka is strong, in canon she had a really weak King who she took out as a young girl, Haruki on the other is rather strong, has a Longinus, his Holy Lightning among other things, and would be the Maou's Queen so he'd have increased power with that, so different to Naberius. Le Fay being a Pawn doesn't mean anything bad, if anything it allows her to access all of the traits of the Evil Piece system, she's basically like a Queen piece that just needs permission from the King to power up.

Rossweisse probably will do. Kuroka did yeah. That's Naberius for you, but he was handled rather quickly. They will when Haruki becomes the Queen of Serafall. Koneko likes his wings~ Yup, she's a good deal stronger than Naberius was. By the time canon rolls around, they wont be a bother really. They do have a rather unique interaction between them. Haruki had some feelings to release on Naberius there. Serafall showed why she's the Maou by taking out his lifes work as if it was nothing. Yeah, the sisters stood together, and Kuroka finished him off. Vali does yeah. And yeah, whatever happens with Baraqiel, it's going to be fun to explore. He isn't chasing his Father yeah, he's waiting and if Baraqiel never does, then he's alright with that, as he said, he's living his own life. She did yeah. Wait and see what happens with Zephyrdor, that's all I can say. Yup, one day she would be. Like Father like son I suppose~ Not sure if it's ever mentioned, I'd say probably the team was something away from the Grigori. Tobio could have Kouki in a scenario like that. Yeah, we're going to Kuoh after this chapter. I don't see why not. As her Queen, I'm sure he'll make a name for himself. Maybe he could meet them. I'm sure all of his traits shall enhance with age. Yeah maybe~ Good Percy Jackson ideas. Yeah, maybe Noelle could.

MDM11; Ravel can yeah, she's a High Class Devil so she can gain Evil Pieces whenever she wants. That would be a pretty cool group. He could learn those types of magic. He will help her unlock Balance Breaker. I don't see why he couldn't help her awaken them before it happens in canon. They could become Super Devils~ He'll learn a few things from them yeah. That would be pretty cool.
JhotoLoraxius; Yeah, he'll be Serafall's before becoming a King himself. It will be after canon starts, but not long after canon since by that time, Haruki would have been doing a lot for a number of years, and will be able to rise to High Class Devil.
notstonksman; I'd have to check it out before saying yes or no since I'm not really familiar with that. Tiamat would be cool.
Anime PJ; Yeah, Naberius went out pretty easy, to show his weaknesses and how cowardly he was as a person. Baraqiel will definitely have a role in Haruki's life. Zephyrdor was barely in the original LN, and has no role beyond being a jerk and getting his ass kicked by Sairaorg, I thought it would be fun to explore his more darker sides, and his intense dislike of Haruki.
Guest 3; I'd use old ideas, and mix them with others if those ideas would fit together.
makotoxvalerie; No, it wouldn't be Ise 2.0. Even if he's a Devil, it can be way different to that of canon, similar elements doesn't mean the exact same, otherwise there would be little point to writing such a story. He could choose to become a Devil for his own reasons, there could be other factors to it that lead his circumstances to becoming a Devil other than Raynare coming in and killing him, it would be someone else's story with the Boosted Gear, and he'd develop in his own way, have his own unique history that would shape what kind of person he would be. I'd do what I believe would be best for the story potential, what I could get the most out of, and how I'd want the story to go for story elements, plot wise, love interests, among other things, putting my own spin on things.
boku no hero; I have no problem writing single pairings, I've done it before for a number of stories. Thanks for the idea, I'll take it into consideration. That would bring an fun dynamic between Aizawa and him. He could have issues with control, we've seen it with others such as Aoyama, though he'd probably not have it to that extent, but it would build unique dynamics. It would be a single pairing at least if not harem.
Andrew123456; I haven't really watched that in ages, so I'd have to watch it again before saying yes or no.
Guest 4; Yeah, that would be a pretty cool match up between the two of them, could allow them to have a deeper understanding of the other.
Guest X; I've thought about doing a Black Clover story, I still need to catch up with the manga before I do a story with it. Thanks for the ideas!
Guest 5; We'd have to wait and see who'd win in a fight between them, whatever did happen it would be emotional between them. Thanks!
Guest 6; When I get unique ideas and inspiration for those types of stories, I would do them. He couldn't participate in all of Slash/Dog yet, it's not been translated as of the posting of this chapter so it would stop at vol 2 of it if I did cover it. It could be unique to explore a power that can copy those kind of powers, I'll think about it.
Guest 7; Pure Angels have to worry about falling from doing that, Half Angels as far as I'm aware haven't been mentioned one way or the other if they have to worry about that, it could be a case that they wouldn't become Fallen Angels whatever they do, or maybe they do have worry about falling, it could be like Half Vampires where they gain the powers and don't have to worry about the majority of the weaknesses Pure Vampires have, we just don't have enough information one way or the other, I'd lean more towards they don't have to worry based on other half breeds we've seen through the series, but I could see why they might have to. Yeah, I'll check out Fate sometime.
With those reviews out of the way, it's time to start the chapter.
Making a choice!
It had been a few weeks since Haruki had been offered a place within Serafall's peerage, and he was still thinking about it. For his future, what would be the best action for him to do. He didn't want to be rushing into anything.
Right now though, Haruki was dressed in formal robes, and watched as Rias and Sona were receiving their Evil Pieces. It seemed that they had decided to go through the ceremony together.
Many people had gathered to witness this event. Haruki noticed that there were a number of people he hadn't met there. Some where even trying to take pictures of Rias, and Sona. But Serafall kept stopping them, together with a red haired man called Sirzechs.
Shirone, and Kuroka decided to not attend this, and were spending time back at the Sitri Castle, while Ravel was stationed near her family. Her brother Riser shot a look for Haruki, who waved back, as Absolute Demise appeared behind Haruki, giving Riser a frightening look, causing Riser to hide behind Ravel.
"Onii-sama, what are you doing?"
"Ravel, you don't understand how crazy that ice Queen is! She is going to murder me!"
Ravel rolled her eyes, she didn't seem to care about what Riser was saying.
The ice doll continued to stare at Riser who felt the chills down his spine.
He didn't want to confront the ice doll.
Haruki himself stood beside Akeno who was also dressed elegantly.
"Ara, don't you think they look cute, Haruki?"
Akeno question was met with a teasing smile.
"Naturally, Rias-chan and Sona-chan are always cute~"
"After this Haruki, Rias is going to ask me something, and I believe that I'm going to take it."
Haruki wasn't surprised what Akeno had said.
He figured that she would do.
"Ask you...to be her servant?"
Akeno was slightly surprised that he guessed that, but she smiled all the same.
"That's right, she asked me a while ago, and I said I'd decide the day that she got her Evil Pieces. And here we are, I've decided that I wish to become her Queen."
Haruki could hear that she was being serious.
She truly did want to join Rias.
"I see...if that's your decision Onee-sama, then I can't say anything about it. But have you thought about it? Would this be best for you?"
"I believe that it would be, I want to be beside Rias, her thoughts and my own coincide, the fact that it was her family that helped us reunite was something that I really am happy about and that plus what I've seen has helped me believe that perhaps Gremory is a good Devil clan to be apart of. I have gotten to know Rias for a good while now, and believe that it would be best if I did join her."
Akeno explained, something that Haruki could understand rather well.
Haruki smiled for his elder sister.
"Ara, so you're going to become the servant of Rias-chan~? That means she'll be able to tell you what to do Onee-sama~"
"Don't worry about that, I can handle Rias~ I'm sure she'll be rather happy with me beside her~"
"Yes, I'm sure you will~"
Akeno was glad that Haruki was supportive of her. It was a difficult decision, she didn't know if she should remain as she was or be with Rias, but now she was convinced, with Haruki giving his full support of her.
Haruki watched the ceremony continue on, watching Rias and Sona receive their Evil Pieces. Rias went first, then Sona afterwards. He heard Sirzechs call "That's my Ria-tan!" and Serafall call "Sona-chan is my everything!" something that made the pair rather embarrassed.
Then after gaining their Evil Pieces, Rias smiled as she walked over towards them.
However, she turned towards Haruki first, and extended her hand, something Haruki just gazed at, not sure what she was doing.
"Ara Rias-chan, is there something I can help you with?"
"How about a dance?"
Rias offered, Akeno pursed her lips.
"To try and steal my Otouto in front of me, you are a wild one, Rias."
"I-It isn't like that!" Rias countered with a mild blush. "I-I just want to talk to him privately, that's all. And what better place than to actually dance? I think it would be rather good~"
Haruki chuckled away as he took her hand.
"Sure, would love to dance~"
Haruki pulled towards the dance floor with Rias, Serafall looked annoyed as she yelled "Rias-chan! You're trying to steal Haru-chan from me!" while Sona simply sighed at the young woman, not sure what to make of her.
Haruki glanced at Serafall who gave a cute pout as he casually danced closely with Rias. Seeing Serafall looking on curiously, he decided to tease her a bit, and held Rias close, seeing Serafall's face turn cutely annoyed was something he rather enjoyed to see.
"So, Rias-chan. What is it you want to talk about?"
"It's regarding your Onee-sama...I'm sure you're aware, but I am wishing to make Akeno my peerage member. My Queen."
"Yes, we just discussed it then."
Haruki explained, Rias was glad that they had talked about it, so it wasn't awkward.
"You'd have no objections?"
"It's Onee-sama's life, she can do as she likes. I'm glad that she's found new friends, she's rather taken with you. I can tell, Onee-sama does consider you someone as a close friend."
"I-Is that so?"
Rias was stunned by what Haruki had said.
Though she knew Akeno and her got along, with how Haruki was speaking, it did sound as if Akeno was rather happy to be with Rias.
"She really does like you Rias-chan." Haruki leaned closer to her ear, and gently whispered, sending shivers through Rias at his new slightly teasing tone. "I also am rather fond of you Rias-chan, perhaps I could tease you sometime~? Make your face match the colour of your cute crimson hair~"
"T-Tease me...w-well, perhaps..."
Seeing her face turning slightly red made him rather excited.
He then pushed her slightly away, before bringing her together, and twirled her around, then held her close, her back pressing against Haruki's front. His face leaned near her right shoulder, his arms around her protectively.
Rias bit her lower lip, and she felt her body heating up slightly at the feeling.
"Fufu, I can feel you're heating up Rias-chan."
Rias' eyes went towards him, and saw his smile.
She couldn't figure out if it was an innocent smile, or a teasing one.
She never could tell.
"...Maybe a little..."
She admitted, as Sirzechs' eyes widened.
"Ria-tan...i-is she falling for the Fallen Angel boy that happens to be Serafall's?! If that's the case..."
Serafall scowled, tapping him on the back of the head.
"Don't you say anything Sirzechs-chan, Haru-chan is precious to me after all, and I wont forgive you! I shall glitter on you! Do you want that?! Even with your Power of Destruction, I'll use my strongest moves!"
Sirzechs huffed, and didn't say a thing.
Serafall nodded strongly, glad that Sirzechs was agreeing with her.
Haruki then chortled, and whispered.
"Onee-sama's someone I immensely care for, if she's taken a shine to you, and wishes to join your peerage, treat her right, and make sure she's happy, that's my only request."
Rias thought it was rather sweet.
Despite all the teasing, he genuinely was someone that cared for Akeno, and wished for her to be happy.
"You have my word, I'll make sure Akeno is happy."
"Then, I have no objections at all~ Have fun with one another~"
Rias smiled as they danced together.
Ravel watched from the side, her eyes not leaving the sight of Haruki. Many thoughts ran through her mind. Thinking about how they had helped save the neko girls, how Haruki hadn't given up trying to find and save Akeno.
It all was something that she couldn't describe.
Ravel's Mother saw how her daughter was gazing upon Haruki.
She didn't know if Haruki had captured her daughters heart, but it was clear at least Ravel had some kind of emotions regarding the half Fallen Angel.
She walked to her daughters side, placing a hand on the young girls shoulder.
"Ravel, it seems that you're intensely staring at that boy all of a sudden. In fact, you haven't been able to speak about many other things for a little while now."
"That's...K-Kaa-sama..."
Ravel was embarrassed by her Mother's words.
She didn't want to admit to anything at this moment in time.
Ravel's Mother though adopted a light hearted smile.
"Is something wrong dear? I've noticed ever since you met him, that you've changed a bit."
Ravel cocked her head.
"I have?"
Ravel's Mother confirmed it with a nod.
"It's subtle, but I can see a positive change within you. You even helped him with those neko girls, and became friends with a Fallen Angel. That's not something most people your age would probably do. So, this boy must be something special for you to develop an attachment."
Ravel poked her fingers together rather shyly.
She held a shy blush on her face.
"Okaa-sama...I...I really liked it. When Haruki-sama and I were working together...we were able to do real good. There's people that talk about it...but Haruki-sama does it. It isn't just for show, he does kind things without people even knowing he's done that. Hearing what he did for his Onee-sama also...it just makes me so pleased. To see that he isn't all talk...that he's rather action orientated also."
Ravel's Mother gave a small giggle.
"It seems that there's some emotions bubbling inside of you Ravel. You know, that young man has also been offered a position within Serafall-sama's peerage?"
"H-How do you know?"
"Because Serafall-sama discussed with me a little bit."
Ravel was only more confused.
"Why did she discuss with you about that exactly?"
"Because, she is acutely aware that with, or without joining her peerage, Haruki-san there is going to be someone that does a lot of things in the future, and needs a support structure. She wondered about our feelings regarding you and Haruki-san. Due to him being a Fallen Angel human, she knew that not all Devils would easily be accepting of that. However, I do believe you and Haruki-san have a good future together."
Ravel began blushing up a storm when her Mother said that.
"A-A future?!"
"Yes, you worked together rather well. In a sense, he knew of your talents, and how best to apply them to a situation. Don't you see Ravel? I believe that your ability to coincide with one another, and help one another is rather wonderful, and what you'd be able to do together...it's rather pleasing for me to see."
At her words, Ravel began to think about it.
Her future being beside Haruki…
She wouldn't mind it.
She enjoyed the fact that she got to help during the neko girls situation.
That she finally got to experience a good deal of adventure, and helping people also.
She honestly found Haruki to be quite like a Knight in shining armour with how he came in and stopped Zephyrdor for her, then did the same thing with the neko girls, and she knew that he'd want to do more in the future.
Riser, who had been listening in, didn't look pleased in the slightest.
He was concerned for Ravel, and what her future could hold with Haruki.
Though that future was a distance away, so he didn't have to do anything yet.
But for Ravel...he'd do anything to make sure she was taken care of.
As that was going on, Kuroka and Shirone at the Sitri Castle casually watched television together. Kuroka had some popcorn on her lap, while Shirone sat there with a complicated expression on her face.
Kuroka also noticed it, raising an eyebrow at her.
"Something on your mind Shirone?"
"...I've been thinking about Haruki-san lately."
"Me too. Isn't he just so handsome~? That face is adorable, yet...damn, it's great Shirone, it really is."
Kuroka had certainly cheered up in Shirone's estimations.
Though she wasn't sure what Kuroka was truly thinking.
She didn't even want to know if she was honest with herself.
"...I suppose, but I also heard that Serafall-sama offered him a place on his peerage."
"I see nyaaa. Think he's going to take it?"
Shirone shrugged.
"I don't know...but, I do know something Onee-sama. Would it be okay...if I also stay beside Haruki-san? If he became a Devil...I would want to join him in the future."
Kuroka was more than a little surprised.
"Shirone, even when we were with Naberius, you were always closed off. But since you met Haruki-chan, you've opened up more and more. Hearing your words, can I take it that you've developed feelings for the Fallen Angel boy?"
Shirone didn't want to confirm or deny it.
Kuroka saw her face however, it being rather red, and told her everything she needed to know.
"...I don't know about that...but, I do know that Haruki-san...does good Onee-sama. For us...for other people. I...I want to be beside him, and become strong together with Haruki-san."
"It seems that you've decided. So what's holding you back nyaaa?"
Shirone cocked her head.
"Stopping me..."
"Why aren't you expressing this to him Shirone?"
"...I wanted to see what you felt first Onee-sama."
She admitted.
Kuroka chortled.
"Fufu, it shouldn't have to be a worry regarding me. I think that you can do it rather well on your own. You made a decision about this, before ever telling me. I'd be selfish to deny your happiness now. Besides, Haruki-chan is someone that I acknowledge being rather kind, and I think that he'd be a worthy Otou-san to our children one day~"
Shirone almost did a spit take, her eyes bulging out of her head.
"O-Onee-sama?"
"What? I'm thinking about the future, we're a dying breed Shirone, we need some strong genes. A Longinus user, Holy Lightning, that has to be passed onto new generations. Maybe the aura of the Longinus could be inherited also, I don't know yet. Either way, it would be cool if the children at least had an affinity for ice magic or something on top of the Holy Lightning and the Senjutsu and Youjutsu they'd inherit from me nyaaa. I want many children and I can't wait for us to begin~"
Shirone could see that Kuroka had made a decision now.
That she did want to have a nice life, and wished to be with Haruki also.
She was just more direct than Shirone was.
Still, Shirone was wondering how she'd tell Haruki her true emotions.
That she wanted to stay beside him, regardless of what happened next.
When Haruki returned back to the Castle for the night, he went towards his room to get some sleep.
Though he did see Kuroka, but not Shirone.
He was curious as to where she was, but when he asked Kuroka, all she said was "You'll soon see nyaaa~" and while he didn't know what that meant, he was still going to at least be happy with the fact that Shirone was around somewhere.
Going down the long corridor, he made it to his room…
But stopped when he felt someone in the room.
He concentrated...and found it to be Shirone.
"So she's in here…"
Haruki mused internally why she would be in his room, but didn't find many answers.
Haruki stepped inside, and saw that Shirone was laying on his bed, her small body curled up.
He lightly smiled, and moved closer to the young girl.
"Shirone...eeh, Koneko-chan, what's going on?"
Shirone sat up on the bed. Her small fingers grasped the bedsheets before her. Her large eyes went towards Haruki's own, and he just couldn't deny that she looked really cute.
Sitting down beside her, Shirone's eyes continued to stare into Haruki's own.
"...Haruki-san, I've...I've decided upon something. But...I'd like to ask you something first."
"Sure, what is it?"
"...Then Haruki-san, I heard a rumour...about you possibly...being apart of Serafall-sama's peerage, is that true?"
Haruki wasn't really surprised she had heard about it.
He presumed that it must be major news that he, who was a half Fallen Angel that also held a Longinus could perhaps become a Devil. It was big news if he did, the Underworld were rather interested about it. Plus with Serafall finally choosing a Queen when she had rejected many before, it made them very intrigued.
"She has offered me a place, I haven't exactly decided either way if I am going to join or not. But what's this about exactly Koneko-chan?"
"…I want to follow you, Haruki-san, wherever you go."
"You want to follow me..."
"Yes...even if you become a Devil...I'd become your servant...if you became a High Class Devil...I'd wait for that long..."
Haruki lightly smiled at the young girl.
"Koneko-chan, you're so cute. You really want to follow me? You don't have to become a Devil to do that, you know?"
"...But, I would also like to be with you, Haruki-san. Even becoming a Devil...I would follow you anywhere Haruki-san. Because...you're the person that I want to be beside. Even Onee-sama didn't reject it...I wouldn't mind being your servant, always Haruki-san."
Haruki pulled closer towards the small girl. His arms gently around the young girl, allowing her fingers to lightly pet the top of her head. Giving her more and more gentle touches, Shirone's cheeks began to turn red at the slightest of touches.
"Fufu, if I had you as a servant then I'd be extremely happy Koneko-chan. But that might take years, you know? It wouldn't be I become a Devil today, I get promoted tomorrow. I've heard that it is difficult for people that are Reincarnated to become High Class."
"...I know, but I also know that you'd do it eventually. I wouldn't mind...if I had to wait for you, Haruki-san. I'd wait forever...because you were there, when no one else was..." As she spoke, she began producing tears, but they weren't sad, they were happy. "...you helped us...you saved us from Naberius...and Onee-sama gets to smile again...I hadn't seen her smile for so long...I am so happy that Onee-sama and I get to be with you, Haruki-san."
Her words brought more and more happiness to Haruki's face.
He could tell that she was truly being serious.
He fully wrapped his arms around her, as she got onto his lap. Her small fingers ran themselves across his upper body, while his fingers ran down her spine, sending some shivers through her again and again.
"Koneko-chan...I'm glad that you're away from that idiot, and get to live your life. If you want to stay with me, then I have no objections. If I become a Devil, I'll definitely go for High Class status, and make you my servant, if that's what you wish for."
Shirone nods strongly, and rubs her cheek against his in an affectionate manner.
"Also...I think that I might also go by Koneko as well from now on to some...I really do like that name as well as Shirone."
"I see...so Koneko-chan, Shirone-chan...whatever you want to call yourself, then as long as you're happy, that's all I care about."
Shirone, or now Koneko, looked towards Haruki, and showed a genuine smile.
Seeing her smile, Haruki couldn't help but smile either, and gently hold onto the young girl.
Spending a small quiet moment between them, Koneko, with whatever else happened now, knew she had found a good person to be with. As long as she could be beside Haruki, the man that helped her, and her sister, saved them from a horrible situation and gave her a home...she was content.
The next day, Haruki travelled to the area that he first met Vali, and happened to come across her. It almost felt like it was their special place with how they kept meeting and training together, unleashing their strongest attacks.
Haruki summoned his ice doll, and Vali summoned her Sacred Gear wings.
Shooting off their powers at one another, they increased their attacks more and more by the second.
Their strongest attacks managed to blow away the trees, and plantlife in the area.
Haruki at least was glad that the area had some people take care of it, and made sure that the area was maintained.
"Each time we fight, I feel the improvements you have made Vali-chan."
Haruki noted, Vali smirked lightly.
"Yes, it is a good challenge. Each time we fight, I can also feel the changes and strength you have within you growing. Speaking of though, Serafall Leviathan asked you to become her servant, didn't she?"
"Yes, that's right. I haven't decided just yet though."
Haruki admitted.
He had already told Vali a bit about it, and wondered if he should do it or not.
"It doesn't matter to me if you did or not. But, even if you did, I'd be the superior Devil."
Vali told a joke that caught Haruki off guard for a few moments.
But then he chortled, and gave a slight smile.
"If that's the case, then I wouldn't lose to you, Vali-chan. I'll become a strong and powerful Devil...that is, if I did become one. I don't know yet. It seems like a big leap. I'd no longer be a half human half Fallen Angel anymore."
"Even if you reincarnated, it wouldn't be much different. You'd have access to demonic power."
Haruki tilted his head.
"That's a good point. Plus I could gain a peerage as well. Say Vali-chan, maybe I could make you my servant Devil~"
"Hmph, the only way I'd do that is if you defeated me in combat."
Haruki became more intrigued by the moment.
"So, I become a High Class Devil, then I'll challenge you to a battle~"
"Hmph. Perhaps. We'll see if that actually happens or not."
Haruki wondered if she would be okay with it.
He could see them being partners at least.
"Still, it would give me an intriguing goal."
"Speaking of, have you heard anything from your Otou-san?"
Haruki shook his head as a response.
"I didn't hear a word."
"...I see, he also hasn't said anything regarding your possible changing to a Devil."
Haruki didn't really mind, even now Baraqiel said nothing, so he let it slide off of him.
"I don't mind, it's my choice after all."
Vali agreed, and didn't mention it anymore, changing the subject.
"Naberius truly was a bastard, huh. Seeing what he was doing, and what we learned, glad he's dead now."
"Yeah, I think that Kuroka-san and Shirone-chan are also happy that he's gone. They have perked up more since he has been gone from their lives. But you know...I'd want to become a Devil for a reason. Not just because it would be cool. I've thought maybe...I could give others that don't have the best circumstances a better existence, those cast away, and those who are turned away, or those who wish to help me in my goals, or have good goals themselves. That's what I'd do with my Evil Pieces if I became a Devil and later a High Class Devil."
"It sounds as if you've thought about it. Whatever your choice is...it wouldn't be so bad to see you as a Devil."
Haruki smiled.
That was Vali basically confirming that she'd be happy if he became a Devil.
He had many things to think about, he just hoped that it would be what he desired.
Meanwhile, Serafall walked through the Sitri Castle, and came across Kuroka who casually was laying around in the living room. Sona was sat close by, while Koneko just kept her eyes towards the television.
"Sona-chan! Found you!"
"I'm leaving."
Sona shuddered as she got up to leave.
But Serafall caught her, and hugged her tightly. Sona gave a complex expression as Serafall held her tightly.
"I got you Sona-chan! You can't leave!"
Sona sighed while Kuroka looked towards Serafall.
"So, has he decided to join you yet?"
"Not yet."
Serafall responded with a keen look in her eyes.
"I'm surprised you aren't trying to convince him to join you~ Isn't that what you want nyaaa?"
Serafall confirmed it with a nod.
"I do, but it's Haru-chan's choice if he wishes to join or not."
"You know, Shirone wants to be with Haruki-chan also. To the point that she even said she wishes to join his peerage nyaaa!"
Serafall blinked rapidly, as Sona tried to escape.
But Serafall stopped her with her arms, looking towards the stoic looking Koneko.
"Is that true, Koneko-chan?"
"...Yes, I want to be beside the man that...saved my Onee-sama and myself...from a terrible situation. His kindness...was something I didn't expect, I wanted to always be with him...whatever it is that he does."
"Fufu, I see. But you're aware he wont gain Evil Pieces for a while yet."
"...That's true nyan."
"But, I still have some Evil Pieces left, I could turn you into my servant, that way when he does become a High Class Devil, I'd trade you to him immediately~ I wouldn't mind doing that for you Koneko-chan~"
Sona was stunned to hear that.
"Onee-sama, is it really okay to offer such a thing?"
"I think it would be okay. It would only be for a little while, and I'm sure Haru-chan will be making many changes through the Underworld. Holding Koneko-chan here in my peerage wouldn't be so bad. I have a Rook left also, I think that Haru-chan could use a cute Rook in the future like Koneko-chan."
Koneko peered up at Serafall.
"Serafall-sama...my dream is to be with Haruki-san...to also do good like I know he will. If you...made me your servant if Haruki-san agrees...I'd be happy."
Serafall giggled, rubbing Koneko's head.
"Fufu, then it seems that the decision has been made~ If Haru-chan agrees, I'll also make you Koneko-chan my servant until Haru-chan's ready to take you off my hands~"
"Is that fine with you Shirone?"
Koneko inclines her neck with her elder sisters words.
"...Yes, I'll be able to support Haruki-san until I'm able to be under him."
"Shirone!" Kuroka berated for unknown reasons. "You can't say such adorable things here!"
"...What are you talking about?"
Kuroka giggled, and went to speak, when Sona held out her hand.
"Lets just not go there."
"...Nyaaa...it isn't like I was going to take it too far..."
Kuroka whined, but Sona shook her head.
Koneko didn't really get it, but she was happy all the same to be able to finally make waves in her own dreams of being with Haruki no matter what, and was thankful to Serafall for helping her with that, knowing that she'd support Serafall as much as she could, like Haruki will do.
After leaving Vali's side, Haruki went towards the Sitri Castle.
Thinking about what she said, he was coming closer and closer to an answer.
Looking around, he could barely see anything of note.
He knew the Underworld was split into different divisions, but the further away from the capital, it was clear that these Devils had to work harder to have good lives. Though he did know that Serafall does try her best to give people like this better lives.
As he walked, in the distance, he saw that there was some smoke in the distance.
It looked to be a fire.
Becoming concerned, he dashed over towards the flames.
Getting closer, he could hear the cries of men, women and children.
He also saw some kind of large Devil that had a tiger like face, a large sword, and eyes that held anger. He also was shooting out flaming magic, and it crashed into the small buildings around.
Haruki could see that it already seemed like a poorer area, so seeing it being devastated like this. He saw some fires threatening to burn some of the civilians who couldn't fight, so Haruki summoned his ice doll, and froze the flames before it could reach them.
As he was going to make a move against the Devil however, he saw a small boy with a timid expression, but trying to fight it down marched forward.
He held his fist out, and turned it to the large Devil.
"Y-You...s-stop hurting us now!"
He cried out.
He looked to be around the age of five or maybe a little older.
He was young either way, Haruki could tell that he was afraid.
The Devil turned a cold eye towards him, and glared intensely.
"What did you say to me brat!?"
"I-I said...p-please stop hurting us!"
The Devil laughed defiantly at the boy.
Haruki saw that other villagers were frightened for the boy.
But they didn't have the power to do anything to help out at all.
So he stepped forward, together with his ice doll.
The Devil hadn't seem them though, and brought his sword for the boy who began shaking.
But he didn't move.
Haruki commended the boy for his bravery.
It reminded him, of himself when he stood before Suou.
"Then this is your death, child! Die by my sword!"
The villagers gasped, and protested.
But all that got them was fireballs flung towards him with fire magic.
They panicked, screamed, and were frightened.
Haruk exhaled slowly, before he moved.
"Ara ara, picking on innocent people means punishment~"
His voice carried over his deadly intense.
Then seconds later, the area was encased in ice.
The ice doll moved her arms around, swaying them as if they were dancing in a beautiful manner, all the while spreading her ice.
The fireballs aimed for the villagers being frozen, and stopped in their tracks.
The Devils feet also had been frozen.
His sword was shattered as he brought it down, with Haruki using some Holy Lightning to break through it, then destroyed the blade that was falling to the ground, all the while having the ice doll create a slide for the boy to escape too.
"Devil boy, it's alright. You were courageous in your actions, now please leave the rest to me."
"Y-You are..."
The boy seemed to recognize Haruki.
Haruki smiled.
"It's alright now, you're going to be safe. I promise."
The Devil boy did as Haruki asked and retreated away.
The evil Devil turned his hand towards the boy, but before he could get in close, Haruki shot forward his Holy Lightning like a whip, wrapping around the Devils hand, causing immense pain due to it being holy as well.
The Devil screamed, as Haruki used surprising physical strength despite his size due to his age, and flung the Devil backwards, sending him flying to the ground, and allowing the holy power to cause more and more damage to his arm.
"My arm! Get it off right now you bastard!"
"Now, that's not nice. Swearing in front of others~ I'll have to punish you~"
Haruki said as he dismissed the whips, cracking his neck side to side.
The enemy Devil looked at his wrist, seeing how bloody it was, and how painful it was also.
The Devil glared towards Haruki.
"What the hell are you child?!"
"I'm going to be your executioner. Attacking innocent civilians, that isn't very nice. Why are you attacking these villagers anyway? What have they done to you?"
"It isn't personal! They just have things I desire, that's all! Even if they die, it doesn't matter! Living out here, no one cares about their deaths!"
Haruki...remembered those words.
It sounded similar to Suou Himejima.
Though he was far more elegant with his words.
The meaning behind them was the same.
Haruki stepped forward, and thrust his hand outwards.
"I'll care."
His words were cold, and unforgiving.
The Holy Lightning gathered within his palm, and increased in power.
The Devil growled, and shot forward for him.
Haruki smirked, and had the ice doll step forward.
She swung her arms downwards, creating spikes of ice in the air.
Bigger than normal, they shot down.
The Devil tried to evade them but Haruki stomped on the ground, and unleashed a wave of Holy Lightning towards the Devil, creating a wall of it so he couldn't escape the ice that was coming down at a fast pace.
"Shit!"
The Devil cried out, and attempted to use some defence circle, but Haruki moved his fingers forward, and caused Holy Lightning to burst out, destroying his circles as the large ice spikes pierced right through the Devil, stabbing him into the ground.
The Devil howled out, as the ice doll twirled around, allowing more and more ice to appear around the Devil, as Haruki concentrated the Holy Lightning he formed into a wall, gathering it above the Devils head.
The Devils eyes widened when seeing that, and began to panic at the sight.
"W-Wait! You can't do anything to me!"
"Why? You were going to kill these innocent people."
Haruki countered, the Devils eyes began to express fear.
"T-That...w-well, I..."
The Devil didn't have a defence.
The ice from the doll surrounded his body and froze him to the ground.
Even his arms were frozen so they couldn't be used.
"It's time to disappear."
Accompanied with the sound of roaring thunder, the lightning eclipsed the Devil, and erased him out of existence. Leaving no trace at all.
Haruki exhaled, and turned to the other villagers.
He then saw that they were beginning to clap and cheer for him.
"Thank you!"
"He really saved us!"
"Even though he's a Fallen Angel...he really saved us!"
"He's amazing!"
It was...definitely new to experience something like this.
During his travels, he rarely had come across people that accepted him so easily, once seeing this Fallen Angel side. He presumed they knew of him due to Serafall, who had shown him off during his time within the Underworld.
The reception to his appearance had been split down the middle, with people being okay or against who he was.
So seeing a town like this so readily accept him gave him a warm feeling.
He saw a bunch of kids run towards him, and hug around his legs tightly.
He gave a light smile towards them, and gently petted their heads.
"Ara, it's alright now. He can't hurt you anymore~"
As he spoke, he saw an elderly man walk closer.
"On behalf of this town, thank you young man for protecting us. Even if we had contacted others, they wouldn't have come in time to help us out. Since we're so far out here...we are made targets of regularly by others."
"...And you can't move, due to your status, right?"
He guessed.
Basing on the clothing they wore, how the area wasn't really that well preserved, and how he also reacted to what Haruki said told him more than enough.
"Yes, we are poor, and have little demonic power. You could call us Low Class Devils at best. We have no true status within the Underworld. We are the forgotten faces. Without status, there's nothing we can do. Even our town...it will be difficult for us to rebuild. Getting materials alone is...it's something we wont be able to do. But do not worry, you saving us has been...we're all so grateful that I'm lost for words. We cannot thank you enough."
Haruki felt his heart being pulled at his words.
He didn't think it was right.
Just because they were born into a lower status than others, they had to suffer more.
Haruki even felt the old man's hands shaking his own up and down.
"Don't worry about that...I'll sort it out."
The old man looked shocked, as did the townspeople.
"E-Excuse me?"
"It's alright, I'll make sure that this town is restored. But first, if you're in the area where Stray Devils will attack...something has to be done about that. I know some barrier magic's that I could teach you guys...I'll contact Serafall-san and see if she can have some barriers put up around here."
"But...we don't have much money..."
"Just because you were born into a certain class or have little money...you don't deserve to be worried all of the time. Don't worry, everyone. I'll make sure personally that this area will be able to have protection. It's my promise. Even if I have to do it all myself. I'll do my best so you can all live comfortably."
Haruki could empathize with them.
Beings that didn't really have many people to rely on.
The fact that they were constantly in danger, he remembered that time well.
He couldn't stand by and simply do nothing.
The old man almost looked on the verge of tears.
"Y-You'd do that for us…?"
"Yes, of course I would. Don't worry about anything like cost, it's really okay. You all deserve to live peacefully."
As the words left his lips, cheers came from the townspeople.
Haruki didn't believe he deserved any kind of praise.
He thought that it was decency that someone would get involved when the people that needed it couldn't defend themselves.
It just reinforced what kind of person Haruki wished to be.
And what he needed to do also, for the people that were here.
More people that he didn't know about.
During the night, Haruki quietly laid on his bed, looking at the ceiling and contemplating a few things about his life, what he should do, and becoming closer to a decision that could shape his future, but he was glad at least that Serafall had helped him with those people, it was another reason for him to be with her, since she did it without hesitation as soon as she found out.
As he thought, there was a knock at the door.
"Come in."
He could sense who it was, so when the door opened, he wasn't surprised to see Akeno stood there.
He gained a smile…
But she looked serious.
He raised a brow as she walked closer and closer.
"Something wrong Onee-sama?"
At his question, she shook her head, and got onto his bed.
"Rias is going to turn me into a Devil tomorrow."
She explained, Haruki gave a happy nod.
"That's good, isn't it Onee-sama?"
"Yes...but, there's something I want to say before I do become a Devil." She began, and hugged onto Haruki tightly. "Haruki, I really am glad you're my Otouto, that someone as kind and strong as you cares so much about me. But remember, I love you Haruki."
"I love you too Onee-sama~"
He replied cheerfully.
But Akeno's face gained a serious look to it.
"No...I mean, I really love you, Haruki. No matter what, I'll always be with you. Even if anyone else comes into your life."
Haruki gave a gentle smile, placing his hand on her cheek.
"Onee-sama, I'm glad that you have found a place you belong. I always wanted you to be happy in the place you are, and live the life that you want to lead. I'm glad that nothing forced you to do this, and your choice was something you had decided upon. Unlike with Suou...we have the choice now."
Akeno nodded and agreed with what Haruki said.
"It's only one place Haruki, the other place is with you. I'll always belong with you."
Haruki's cheeks turned slightly red.
"Onee-sama...you know, Serafall-san has asked me to become her servant also. To become a Devil."
"Yes, I have heard some rumours about it. Are you going to do it?"
"It's a big decision, and I've been weighing up the pros and cons to it."
"Yes, I also did the same thing when Rias first asked me. I decided in the end, perhaps supporting Rias, I'll be able to do some good. And also help me in my own life as well. Belonging with the Gremory, while also being your Onee-sama. I thought it wasn't such a bad deal."
"Yes...but, I also want to do many things in my life. I believe that I could achieve it with Serafall-san. And today...I came across a place that really was living not great...and they were Devils. It was...sad that they didn't have access to proper education...Onee-sama, I want to change it, I want other Low Class Devils...others like us, that didn't have anywhere else to turn too...I want to be that person that people can turn too. On my own, I'm not sure how much I can accomplish. But with Serafall-san...I believe we could make real changes, I could make differences. Becoming a High Class Devil, I could become a King, and also receive Evil Pieces, and give those with special circumstances, or who hold good ideals a place to call home. Like Serafall-san did with me, and Rias-chan did with you."
Akeno gently petted her brothers face, and leaned closer.
"I think you've already got the answer then Haruki. Follow your heart, do this for yourself. Not anyone else. That's how I decided to join Rias. It was my decision to be with her, because I felt like it was right, and I could achieve a number of things beside her."
"Yes...maybe you're right Onee-sama, maybe I could achieve a number of things~"
The young girl inclined her neck, before she leaned closer.
Haruki watched as she pursed her lips, and came in close.
"Onee-sama..."
"It's okay Haruki...I just want to show you...my affections...and do this, before I turn into a Devil..."
Haruki watched as Akeno's lips pressed against his own.
He was mildly surprised that she actually was kissing him.
It only lasted for a few moments.
But those moments...felt right.
When Akeno pulled away, she blushed up a storm.
She couldn't believe she had actually done it.
She didn't know what Haruki was going to think about her making such a move.
Showing him affection and love that was beyond the platonic.
She tried to make it as clear as possible, and seeing Haruki just having red cheeks, she wasn't sure how he felt.
"I'm sorry...I was...caught up in the moment...I didn't mean to make you feel..."
When seeing the worry on her face, Haruki dispelled it by lightly kissing her cheek.
"Why are you apologizing Onee-sama? I...liked it. You didn't make me feel anything other than happy that you showed me your love."
His confession left her smiling.
"Y-You did? Really Haruki? It wasn't...odd?"
"Of course Onee-sama, it wasn't odd for me at all. I'm glad Onee-sama, that you also feel...like that with me."
"...Yes, I'm glad, my adorable Haruki~"
Haruki came in close, and to make Akeno less nervous, also briefly locked lips with her, before hugging her tightly.
Akeno ran her hands through his hair as he held onto her in a comforting manner.
"Fufu, I took your first kiss~ Those girls will be jealous~"
"Maybe you did, maybe you didn't~"
He teased, Akeno's lips turned into a pout.
"Who did you kiss before me?"
"I can't say Onee-sama. As they say, don't kiss and tell~"
Akeno giggled at his reply.
"Ara...my Otouto is someone that has become a master of teasing~ Even I can't tell if you're being serious or not...but, Haruki. There is something that I want to say." Haruki nodded, sensing the change in tone. "I also know you have a crush on Serafall-sama, don't you?" Haruki didn't say either way if he did, but Akeno knew better. "It's okay, I understand you rather well. It's good that you do Haruki, because I want you to have lots of love from any girl that loves you too."
"Onee-sama, you are a wild one, aren't you?"
"Fufu, you'll become the wild one. I'm just saying that harems are natural for species such as Fallen Angels and Devils and the likes, even relationships as close as ours isn't unheard of between Fallen Angels, or Devils either. Serafall-sama also seems to be very fond of you. Plus, if she becomes serious, then I'll have some competition. I don't know why, but that makes me feel warm inside of my chest~ Maybe I could become the mistress...fufu, so much potential~"
Haruki chuckled at his elder sisters words.
"I didn't know you'd think of things like that Onee-sama~ You keep surprising me~"
"Fufu, I do love surprising you~ But for a little while Haruki, sleep together with me here."
Haruki nodded, and laid together with his elder sister.
Wrapping arms around one another, they soon settled down together, and enjoyed one another's company, not feeling the need to discuss anything further, knowing of the love they had for one another.
Later into the night, Haruki slid out of his bed, leaving Akeno sleeping quietly, and walked down the corridor.
He went to go and find Serafall to express his thoughts and feelings to her.
He walked all the way towards the kitchen, and happened to come across Serafall sitting within the kitchen itself.
She was eating some ice cream, so he went over, and playfully placed his mouth near her face.
"Fufu, Haru-chan. Do you want some ice cream~?"
"Perhaps~"
He smiled, as she fed him some ice cream.
"So Haru-chan, how are you feeling~?"
Haruki nodded, and began talking towards her seriously.
"Serafall-san, there's a few things that I want to talk about, if it's alright?"
"Sure, what is it my cute Haru-chan?"
Haruki exhaled slowly, thinking about how to word his feelings.
He didn't want it to be anything other than how he truly felt deep inside.
"The system of the Devils, it failed those neko girls for the most part. I'm not blaming people like you Serafall-san, because I've seen the kindness and love you have. But Naberius, he was a horrible Devil, and he experimented endlessly on innocent people. I'm just glad that he didn't have the chance to turn them into his servants, or their lives would have been worse than it was. People like Zephyrdor, going around and believing it's okay to do as he likes to those who have lower status than him...it's horrible in my eyes."
Serafall completely agreed.
"You're right Haru-chan. The Old Devils are stucdk in the past, there are people that suffer due to others actions, and their class..."
"Rights for Reincarnated Devils...and for those of lower status, it lacks, Serafall-san. I saw it today...a town full of Low Class Devils, their lives...how they barely have any education, they were attacked by Stray Devils because they were on the furthest of the Devil borders and no one would be able to help them if they had called for help, and had little resources...I felt for them. Their circumstances wouldn't be able to change, they couldn't possibly go against people like the Old Devils. If they complained, their pleas for help will be ignored by them, and wouldn't even reach the ears of you, who I know would immediately help as shown when I told you about it, but those old guys simply ignored their pleas and hid their pleas from you. They told me that much."
Serafall could see that he had thought about it a lot.
It was something that even she had to admit was something she disliked.
How the world for the Devils could be.
"Yes...you're right Haru-chan. I wish it wasn't so. There's many things I want to do Haru-chan, I've seen many people suffering, and it's awful. If I had the power...I'd change everything. Even as a Maou, there's many restrictions upon me, and it can be difficult, but I do what I can."
Hearing her words, only convinced Haruki what he thought was right.
How he thought she truly was.
Someone that shared his mentalities about the world.
How she could even see flaws in her own kind.
It was something he truly did appreciate from the young woman.
"That's why, Serafall-san. Would you make me your Devil?"
Serafall gasped when he said that.
"Haru-chan..."
She let out surprisingly meekly.
She was just so happy that her voice was even failing her.
"I've thought about it for a while now, what good I can do in this world. There's many things I want to accomplish. But when I was helping those girls, and those people today...I loved it. I got to bring smiles back to their faces, take away their pain. I want to do more...accomplish more than that. I'm not saying I can change every single Devil out there, I think that's a rather impossible task. But to make real changes, to show the Devil world that Reincarnated Devils, Low Class, and Middle Class have voices too. That they deserve to be heard, and not forgotten about. An old man told me that his area had been forgotten...it doesn't have to be like that, no one has to be forgotten."
Serafall nodded strongly.
She also began crying at his elegant and beautiful his words were.
The fact that he was thinking of others, bringing happiness, and a voice to those who aren't heard due to their status.
"Yes Haru-chan, that's exactly it!"
"That's why, I'd like to become your Devil. Stand with you Serafall-san. Ever since we've met, you've helped me, you're the reason I'm still existing right now, and allowing me to finally find a path that I want to take. I don't want people to end up like I was, thrown away and hunted for simply existing. I don't want people to have to suffer like Kuroka-san and Koneko-chan. Under you...I know I can do real good to the Devils, maybe even my status as a half breed could bring new fresh ideas into a world that's stuck in its way. Fufu, a Fallen Angel like me, even if former, being a high up in Devils society, that would be real change there. I want to make real changes, and not just talk about it. Plus, since you're someone who deals with affairs of other species, I think that lines up rather well with my goals."
Serafall smiled gently.
She loved his reason.
It wasn't for power.
It was about helping people in situations they didn't like at all.
That they couldn't hope to get out of.
Be their support structure, and build the gaps between different people.
"I see...then if that's how it is Haru-chan...I want you to become my Devil-chan~ So, wanna become my Queen~?"
Haruki didn't bat an eyelid, and instead just laughed.
"I don't mind, being the Queen to your King, that means I'll be able to support you, and you can support me~"
Serafall wrapped around Haruki like ivy, and rubbed her face against his own.
"Haru-chan, together...we'll be together always~"
"Yes..." Haruki then pressed his lips against her cheek, catching her off guard. "Fufu, it's going to be fun to tease you Serafall-san~"
"Teasing me Haru-chan..."
Serafall thought about how that would be.
Especially an older Haruki, something she had to admit was bringing more and more thoughts to her.
"Yes, I'll have to tease you and cuddle you all at the same time~"
"Hehehe, then that's alright~ You know, Koneko-chan also wants to be under you? I offered her a place in my peerage, and she said she'd want to if you became a Devil. I guess that means I'll be taking you both on now then~"
"Is that so? Then I'll take care of Koneko-chan and take her with me when I become a High Class."
Haruki continued to embrace Serafall, and soon knew he'd be a Devil.
He was happy.
Maybe...this would be the true path for what he wanted out of life.
One week later, Haruki stood before Serafall as she held a Queen piece within her hand, and also a Rook piece. Koneko was beside Haruki, and held onto his hand while he just smiled down towards her young cat girl. Due to Haruki wanting Koneko to be sure, they decided to leave it a week, but she didn't change her mind, and Haruki, understanding her thoughts, was more than happy to enter the Maou girls peerage together with Koneko.
Ravel was in the background, watching silently together with Kuroka. Akeno and Rias were also stood at the opposite end, with Akeno already becoming Rias' Queen, she wanted to be there when Haruki became a Devil. Even Sona was stood there, and kept her eyes silently on her elder sister.
Kuroka glanced at Ravel, and adopted a smirk.
"Fufu, it seems that you might be a bit jealous~?"
"J-Jealous?"
"Yes, because Haruki-chan and Shirone are going to be in the same peerage together. She also has a confirmed placement in his future peerage nyaaa."
Ravel huffed.
"Perhaps, but there's plenty of time. I will have my moment to join Haruki-sama's future peerage."
Kuroka gave a mildly surprised look.
"Ara, so that's what it is nyaaa. You want to join his group also?"
"Yes, that's right...potentially. I haven't fully decided yet, but I wouldn't mind, if Haruki-sama needed my services. Then I'd definitely do it."
"You know Ravel-chan...I think that's really sweet of you."
Ravel was surprised that Kuroka said that.
"Kuroka-sama, that's really nice. Thank you."
"Yes nyaa. But also, I discovered that if you put a T in front of your name, then it becomes Travel~ Travel-chan~ I'll be thinking of others also~"
Ravel face faults while Kuroka giggles away.
As she did, Rias turns towards Akeno, and saw that she was smiling.
She didn't say anything, but she was glad that Akeno was happy to see her little brother being with Serafall.
Serafall, giggling away as she looked towards Haruki.
"Then, this is it Haru-chan~ Ready?"
Haruki looked down towards Koneko, who looked up towards him.
"Ready Koneko-chan? This means, we'll be very close from now on~"
Koneko's cheeks turned slightly red by his words, she nodded slowly.
"...Yes, I wouldn't mind that nyan."
"Fufu, I see~ Then I'm ready Serafall-san~"
"Splendid! Then hold the pieces to your chests~"
Haruki grabbed his, and Koneko grabbed hers, both placing it against their own chests.
Serafall then began chanting, channeling demonic power through her, and the Evil Piece.
Haruki watched the Evil Piece sink through his clothing, and his skin, entering his body.
He shivered at the feeling as Koneko did the same thing.
"Fufu, it feels as if Serafall-san has just completed me~"
Rias and Sona did a spit take while Kuroka and Akeno giggle at the sense of humour. Ravel blushed when he said it, while Koneko also understood what Haruki meant and began blushing.
"Ooh Haru-chan~ You are adorable~ But with this, you're my servant now~ My adorable Queen who I'm going to adore and cuddle always! And my cute Koneko-chan is going to be Haru-chan's future Rook, but until then I'll also adore you~"
Haruki places a hand to his chest.
Running his fingers up and down…
He could feel the change.
He could feel himself being filled with a new kind of power.
Demonic power.
It gave him a tingling sensation.
It caused him to feel good deep inside.
"Then I'll be your Queen Serafall-san~ I can't wait for us to become even more closer than we are now~"
Serafall smiled, and hugged Haruki.
He did the same thing back, and sank into her embrace.
For the first time in a long while, he believed that he truly could make some unique changes.
Being able to do what he did for Akeno, for Kuroka, and Koneko…
Being able to do that more, it was quite a nice dream for him.
He didn't want others to suffer like they had to, like he had to.
With Serafall...he was definitely going to make some new changes, and do what he could to become a High Class, and beyond.

So, this was the last chapter before the time skip! Next chapter, we'll be getting into canon time, so the relationships between him and the girls will be heating up, and we'll see what Haruki's been doing for the past few years and how he's grown in many aspects.
But for this chapter, we discovered more about Haruki's reasons why he'd become a Devil that were more fleshed out here and had been spoken about in other chapters. Even getting some others like Koneko and Ravel who have desired to stay beside Haruki and help him with his goals, with Koneko deciding to be a Devil under Serafall so she could be in the same group as him, until he becomes a King so she could follow him, and since it's stated in canon that Serafall had some spare pieces, I thought it would be good for them to be together. Ravel's decided to follow Haruki and join his future peerage even if she's trying to keep it to herself for the moment, and while Kuroka hasn't said it aloud yet, she's content for the moment to be with her little sister, and Haruki.
Rias and Haruki had a small talk between them also, and Haruki expressed for Akeno to be happy with Rias, knowing Rias would be a good person for Akeno to be the Queen of. Akeno also expressed her desire to be with Haruki, and shared a kiss between them. Vali and Haruki also had a conversation about Haruki's future, setting up some stuff with that, and Haruki confirming that he does indeed have quite a bit of affection for Serafall by kissing her on the cheek.
