Pokemon Story: A Normal Journey
~Ash takes a research trip to Alola to investigate the Regional Variants. Intrigued by the Island Challenge he sets out to explore a brand-new region while growing up as a trainer and as a person along the way. Fortunately for him, there is no prophecy or duty for him. That's the other kid's job…~

Pokeball in hand, Ash looks at the man in front of him "Let's start then"
"Very well! Let this Grand Trial start!" Hala shouts as he throws his first Pokemon "Go Machoke!"
A Machoke materializes in front of Hala, already flexing its muscles to show off.
"A Machoke" Ash whispers with a smirk "Then this is Rowlet's turn! You do it bud!"
Rowlet comes out from its Pokeball… Sleeping…
"Rowlet wake up!" Ash closes the distance with his Pokemon and bonks him in the head "It's time to battle Hala!"
"Roh!" Rowlet wakes up, startled until his eyes fall on Hala. Steel shone in his eyes from the determination to battle.
"Battle start!"
"Rowlet start things with Leafage!"
A shower of leaves rains on Machoke who covers himself with his forearms.
"Machoke break through with Strength!"
Machoke jumps towards Rowlet pushes him toward the ground.
"Go for a Peck attack!" Ash commands as Rowlet rolls around the ground to a standing position "Now!"
Rowlet pushes himself off the ground right into Machoke's chest.
"Knock Off!"
Machoke crushes Rowlet in both palms and throws him off the way. Rowlet manages to start flying to avoid impact.
"Now more Leafage!"
"Knock them off!"
Rowlet sent wave after wave of leaves only for Machoke to shove them off. Ash started getting anxious.
'This is more difficult than I thought! That Machoke is really well trained!' Ash berates himself 'Should have taken this more seriously!'

Lisia watches as Ash seemingly calls out random moves 'what are you thinking, Ash?'
It was a matter of time, Lisia convinced herself.

"What's the matter Ash? Doubting your Pokemon!?" Hala calls out from the other side of the battlefield.
"I do not doubt my Pokemon!" Ash shouts out, a bit more forceful than needed "We'll show him Rowlet! Use Ominous Wind!"
"Roooh! Let!" The ghost type technique soars toward Machoke.
"Machoke dodge it!"
"Follow him!"
Machoke runs and jumps away from Rowlet's continuous attempts until the technique manages to land, making Machoke fall off.
"Machoke get away from there!" Hala calls out but a bright light coming across the battlefield caught his attention.
"Rowlet let's do this!" Ash crosses his arms as his Z-Ring shines brightly for everyone to see "This is our power! You better be prepared for this Hala! This is our bond!" Ash shouts as he strikes the final pose of the Z-Move "Take this! Breakneck Blitz!"
Rowlet got covered in yellow light and flew at high speed toward Machoke.
"Machoke hold it off with Strength!"
Machoke stood up and pushed both arms forward, catching the Z-Powered Rowlet.
The struggle was clear for anyone seeing this battle. Machoke's muscles tensed as it was pushed back by the force of the Z-Move.
"Machoke use Bulk Up and push forward!"
Machoke's muscles bulge as it started pushing back "Choke!"
"Roh!" Rowlet cries out as it pushes harder, only for Machoke to push back just as hard.
"Come on Rowlet! Remember that this is our power! We're not letting Hala win you hear me!" Ash steps forward and approaches the two Pokemon "We're in this together!"
"Watch out Ash! Get back!" Hala's eyes open wide at seeing the brave or stupid act of the trainer.
The crowd starts crying out in shock and Lisia barely got on top of the platform to push Ash aside when the trainer from Pallet surprised everyone into silence.
Ash placed his palms on Rowlet's back and started pushing with him "Let's do this together, Rowlet!" Ash shouts as he feels the bond shared by the Z-Crystal "I don't doubt my Pokemon, I never do. I doubt myself…But I know now that I have to give my part in our battles!
Hala takes a step back at what he sees 'Is he… doing literally what I've told him about fighting…?'
"Roh!" Rowlet feels energy flow through him and starts pushing back as Ash is left behind with a smile on his face "Roh-let!"
"You do it Rowlet!" Ash shouts as Rowlet manages to push Machoke out of the ring and further into the forest, slamming against a tree.
Hala looks in shock at what he just saw 'It's not possible… he just… assisted his Pokemon with the move and powered it enough to push Machoke back… amazing…'
Rowlet rolls away from the fallen Pokemon, just as unconscious as Machoke.
After a minute of pure silence, Hala raises his hand to the air "Both Pokemon are unconscious"
Ash walks back to his spot and looks at Hala "I kinda get what you taught me"
Hala laughs out heartily "I did not teach you that boy, but the concept behind… maybe I did!"
"Let's continue then" Ash smiles as he looks down "Pikachu, you're up bud"
"Pika!" Pikachu jumps into the battlefield ready for whatever Hala may bring out.
"This is turning interesting!" Hala declares as he brings his next Pokemon "Hariyama it's your turn!"
"Hari!"
"A Hariyama huh?" Ash looks at Pikachu with a knowing smirk "It will be a speed vs power battle, ne Pikachu?"
"It is! Hariyama use Heavy Slam on Pikachu!"
"Quick Attack, don't let it get to you" Ash commands and Pikachu zooms away in direction of Hariyama.
As Hariyama prepared to jump, Hala's eyes snap open "Force Palm!"
Hariyama swerves in perfect synchro to Hala's call and palms the place where Pikachu stood once.
"Pikachu is quick! You'll find out soon enough, Hala!" Ash call out, pumping his fist upwards "Electroball!"
"Pika!" Pikachu appears above Hariyama and delivers a ball of condensed electricity "Pika-Pika-Pika-kapi!"
"Hariyama use Ice Punch!"
Hariyama turns to Pikachu with surprising speed and punches the Electroball, turning it into Ice.
"You're going to need much more than speed to beat me, Ash Ketchum!" Hala states as he plays with his moustache "Take that in account for the future! Return the favour, Hariyama!"
Hariyama picks the ice ball and chucks it at Pikachu with enough force to hear the sonic boom behind it.
Pikachu barely had time to dodge as the ice ball exploded and released the electricity inside, hurting the electric Pokemon.
"Whoa what power!" Ash takes a step back in surprise. He looks around the battle field and comes up with a strategy "But it will not be enough!"
"Pika!"
"Get close now!" Ash points at Hariyama, a small smile playing in his face "Quick Attack!"
"Hariyama prepare yourself! I don't like that look…" Hala commands, suspicious, with reason, about Ash's intentions.
Hariyama's muscles tense at Hala's command. Pikachu meanwhile left a white streak in his wake as he closed the distance with Hariyama.
"Now Iron Tail!"
"Block it with Force Palm!"
Both Pokemon clash techniques viciously, making Pikachu jump back from the force.
"Again!" Ash commands confidently.
And again Pikachu clashes with Hariyama, with the former jumping back from the sheer force behind the latter's technique.
"Again!"
Hala's frown tightens as this continues "What is his approach…" He mutters under his breath.
"Again!" Ash cries out as Pikachu once again uses Iron Tail on Hariyama.
This time though, even if Hariyama retaliated with Force Palm, something different happened.
Ash's smirk was telling…
Spark coursed through Hariyama's body as it flinched and Pikachu delivered a follow up blow.
Just as it happened, Ash was onto the case "It's paralyzed! Pikachu I want Hariyama down before Hala can call out anything!"
"Pika!" Pikachu delivers a series of devastating Iron Tails that left Hariyama clutching its body in pain.
"H-Hari…"
"Hariyama!" Hala could not believe how fast the tide of the battle turned against him…

"Good job Ash!" Lisia cheers on this "You got im' on the ropes!"
But around the battleground, people were not really on board with this…
"Hala is losing! I don't believe it!"
"He's even using his prized Hariyama!"
That sparked Lisia's curiosity "What's special about Hala's Hariyama?"
The villager, an old woman with greying hair, replies with ease "Hariyama is one of Hala's second generation Pokemon, a pretty strong one at that!"
"Second Generation!?" That practically meant that, taking in account how old Hala is, that Hariyama is the son of one of Hala's original team! That spoke of age… "It's old then… that Hariyama…"

"We got him, Pikachu!" Ash calls out as he prepares to deliver the final blow "Use-"
"Hariyama use Belly Drum and hang on! It will be our final gambit!"
Ash's eyes widen at that "A final gambit!?"
Hariyama raises to full height and starts palming his stomach, powering up all his attacks in exchange for half the user's prime health.
"But Hariyama will faint!" Ash cries out in shock "What's your point with this Hala!?"
Hala smirks at this "That's because we're gutsy you see! This will be Hariyama's last attack, Ash! You better meet it with all your power!"
'I'm so falling for that taunt…' Ash's smirk widens at that "How can we turn that down! Pikachu you heard him!"
"Pika?" Pikachu turns to Ash, confusion clear in its face.
"Iron Tail" Ash eyes burn bright with determination "Up front!"
Pikachu sighs in exasperation 'This guy…' but that sigh turns into a wild smile 'That's my trainer!'
As Pikachu jumps, ready to slam an Iron Tail on top of Hariyama's head, Hala smirks and commands "Catch his tail with you palms and slam him into the ground with all your force!"
Ash's smirk did not waver at that "Let him!"
"What!?"
It was too late as Hariyama already got hold of the Mouse Pokemon.
"Now finish this with Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu smirks and delivers a devastating bolt to the Kahuna's Pokemon.
"Hari!" Hariyama cries out as he falls to the ground, completely unconscious.
"Hariyama is unable to battle!" Hala cries out immediately "I will be bringing my last Pokemon" He throws the Pokeball, an Ultraball Ash notes…
From it comes a klutz-looking crab Pokemon. Its fur was white while it had details in violet and orange.
"A new Pokemon…" Ash mutters as he calls out for Rotom to help him "Rotom you're in"
"Got it!" Rotom comes out and analyses the new Pokemon "Crabominable: The Woolly Crab Pokemon – Fighting/Ice Type: It stores coldness in its pincers and pummels its foes. It can even smash thick walls of ice to bits! Note: This Crabominable is Shiny! I need to upload this urgently!"
"A shiny Crabominable… Fighting and Ice… weird combination" Ash muses over his choices "Let's test the waters… Pikachu are you up for another round?"
"Pika!"
"Let's do this then" Ash looks at Hala who, to Ash's shock, had his arms crossed in front of him "A Z-Move!?"
"Yes… That Pikachu is the better target for this!" Hala declares as he starts a series of poses that Ash doesn't recognize "I knew from the moment I saw you that you were something else Ash Ketchum! A maverick in Alola! That's why I'm honouring you with a special move! One I share only with Crabominable!" Hala places his arms in diagonal one over the other until he thrusts them forward "Cold it may be, but our hearts remain as hot as the flames of Wela Volcano! Crabominable use Sub-Zero Slammer!"
The ground around Crabominable turns chilly cold, to the point of a fine layer of ice forming on it.

The people of the village shivered at the sudden cold and Lisia could not have wished for a better day to use native clothing to Alola.
"Isn't Hala supposed to use a Fighting Type Z-Move!?" Lisia wonders out loud as she tries and fails to cover herself from the cold.
"I only remember seeing Hala using this Z-Move against one person!" The same old lady from before tells Lisia "And he was fighting another foreigner as well… the cousin of Samson Oak!"

"Go!" Hala commands as Crabominable shoots a potent ice beam at Pikachu.
"Get away from there Pikachu!" Ash cries out but Pikachu slips on the ice and falls prey to the Ice Type Z-move "Pikachu!"
The technique created a giant stalactite, with Pikachu inside of it.
"What the…" Ash wonders out loud, seeing his friend literally trapped in ice "What power…"
Hala seriously stares at the stalactite as he commands with finality "Ice Hammer"
"Crab! Crab!" Crabominable rushes forward and slams his arms onto the ice and destroys it with ease.
Pikachu came out of the ice completely unconscious…
"Pikachu…" Ash mutters as he picks up his friend, not before looking at Hala with critic eyes.
"This is the power behind the bond I share with Crabominable" Hala states, matter of fact "Can you overcome the fire we have? A fire that surpasses typing or age!?"
Ash doesn't reply as he walks to the edge of the battlefield, Pikachu in hands, before kneeling "Lisia, can you take care of Pikachu for me?"
Lisia nods with an encouraging smile "You know he used that Z-Move because he's scared, right?"
Ash smiles at her "Of course" That said, Ash turns around and brings out his final Pokeball, walking to his place in the battlefield "Let's finish this, Hala! You don't intimidate me! I will beat all the Kahuna of Alola and prove to the whole region that I'm worthy of using the Z-Moves! I'll beat whoever comes because I'm going to be a Pokemon Master!"
His final step resounds through the whole Iki Town.
"You heard me Kahuna!?" Ash looks at the man with fire equalling, or surpassing the one shown previously.
Hala stays silently watching the boy until his stoic façade falls off to let out a wild smile as well "I'm feeling thirty years younger after this, Ash Ketchum! I accept this challenge! After this battle I expect to see you at the top! Come and bring your last Pokemon!"
"I will!" Ash throws his last Pokeball "Hawlucha! You're up bud!"
"Lucha!" from the Pokeball came out a masked bird that landed in front of Ash and started showing off to everyone.
"Oho! A Hawlucha!" Hala looks surprised by Ash's last Pokemon "I expect a great battle then!"
"You bet, right Hawlucha!?" Ash looks at his Pokemon who nods, pumping his arm up "Then let's start with Karate Chop!"
"Crabominable use Iron Defence!" The Woolly Crab Pokemon shines with a silvery glow as its resistance to physical attacks got higher.
Hawlucha jumps toward Crabominable and starts striking Hala's Pokemon. With each strike, Crabominable barely felt anything, but it was there…
"We'll break that Iron Defence!" Ash calls out; taking this development in account "It won't stop us! Hawlucha, Karate Chop one more time!"
"Counter with Power-Up Punch!" Hala commands and Crabominable obeys, clashing with Hawlucha in an exchange of fists.
"Lucha!" Hawlucha growls as he dodges one of the punches from the experienced opponent "Haw... Hawlucha!"
"Now High Jump Kick!" Ash shouts and Hawlucha complies, jumping backwards to dodge another close call. Right after that, Hawlucha jumps forward and delivers a devastating knee strike on Crabominable's chest, pushing the big Pokemon backwards.
"Crabominable! You alright there?" Hala questions his Pokemon, getting a nod in response "Good, then we will strike back!"
"Don't let up, Hawlucha! Use X-Scissor!"
"Stop him with Superpower!"
As Hawlucha charged at Crabominable, green energy dancing in its hands, the Woolly Crab Pokemon pumped up his muscles and tanked the attack.
"Hawlucha watch out!"
It was late as Hawlucha is held in a vice grip hold by the head.
Hawlucha cries out as he's held tightly by the Woolly Crab Pokemon "Luchargh!" The Wrestling Pokemon tried to pry Crabominable's arms away from his head with no results "Haw!"
"Hawlucha get away from that grip!" Ash cries out desperately, not really seeing a way for his Pokemon to get away from this.
"It shall end, young Ash! It was a great battle, but the end is here" Hala declares for everyone to hear in Iki Town…

Tapu Koko watched this battle from the very beginning. How could he not?
The Chosen One clearly gave everything to win this battle, but…
'Hala isn't the Kahuna for show…'
The current Kahuna actually fought him in the past, leading their battle to a stalemate that made Tapu Koko recognize the trainer for his strength.
That was the day Hala was chosen as a Kahuna, made worthy.
This one would be the day where Ash Ketchum would prove if he's worthy or not.
Seeing the Hawlucha struggling against Crabominable was no surprise.
Even so, the Guardian Deity expected something to happen. The impossible…
No, he did not expect it to happen; he wanted it to happen…
'He would have been my chosen at the very least…'
A cry and the impossible happening was what brought Tapu Koko back to the battle

"Hawlucha!" Ash shouts to his Pokemon "You can do it! Pump your fighting energy and get away from Crabominable!"
Ash's line of thought was to help his Pokemon, his friend…
Hawlucha nods through the pain and places his arms in each of Crabominable's arms. Closing his arms to focus, Hawlucha looks for his focus and searches for what Ash asked him…
"Lucha…"
Eyes open wide and Hawlucha gives out a mighty cry.
"Haw… Hawlucha!"
Hawlucha's muscles bulge slightly and he starts applying an impressive amount of force to pry the Woolly Crab Pokémon's arms away from him.
"Lucha! Lucha! Lu…. CHA!" Hawlucha cries out as he manages to push Crabominable arms "Hawlucha!"
"That's Superpower!" Hala cries out in disbelief "There's no way Hawlucha learned that move that easily!"
Ash smiles at this "Hawlucha had the potential to learn it since our last league" He explains what he believes happened "Against Alain, his muscles strained to the point of leaving steam when melting ice… Superpower focuses the power of the Pokemon into its muscles, increasing their power! Hawlucha's body was ready for this and battling Emboar showed me what that move was!"
Hala stares at Ash silently until he smiles… "You're no mere trainer Ash Ketchum. Don't let anyone ever tell you something different" Hala looks at his Pokemon and nods "We finish this then, Crabominable! Use Ice Hammer!"
Crabominable's arm shines with a white glow as he charges at Hawlucha.
"Counter with Superpower!" Ash shouts out as Hawlucha nods and catches the Woolly Crab Pokémon's arm.
The inertia behind Crabominable's attack made It easier for Hawlucha to pull the weight of the Pokemon and, with a slight turn, slam him against the ground.
"Crab-Crabominable!" The Pokemon cries out in pain.
"Now to finish this!" Ash shouts out as he extends his arms to the side, much like Hawlucha does when ready to glide "Flying Press!"
Hawlucha smirks as he jumps and falls down over Crabominable, cracking the battlefield as he did.
When the dust and rubble settled, Crabominable sat unconscious on the ground…
It was Ash's victory…

Hello once again! Here's a chapter I'm not so sure about, mainly because doing battles is quite complicated and this one's quite important for Ash's journey.
So! Nothing more to say other that Ash beat Hala and won his Fightium Z! His Rowlet, Pikachu and Hawlucha managed to overcome Machoke, Hariyama and Crabominable.
I'll talk shortly of each battle. In Rowlet Vs Machoke, Ash took a little too literally that he should fight with his Pokemon. It's the way it is. I believe the scene might look like when Ash used his final z move against Tapu Koko in the Alola League. Pushing more power towards his Pokemon in assistance in a sense.
About the Pikachu Vs Hariyama, yes I abused the anime logic with Belly Drum. But Anime logic is like that in that sense. I'm using the anime logic for most, if not all the battles I write. Nevertheless, I didn't want to write the same battle that we saw in the anime.
Finally Crabominable. If you didn't realize it by this point, that is the Pokemon that took down Prof. Oak's Dragonite. Considering Hala uses Fighting Types mainly, it seemed fitting to give him that Pokemon early on. Dragonite is no danger after all if you have any Pokemon with a good Ice Type move. Hawlucha meanwhile applied that Gear Second he stole from Luffy into a new move, Superpower; a move Ash experienced in last chapter and made him realize the potential for Hawlucha.
Honestly nothing more happens here so I'll go directly to the reviews!

Konowhut69: Another nice chap as always. As for well regarding your situation with four move limit, I agree that the pokemon shouldn't be have no limits but I feel that 4 move limit is too low. I propose another system instead-Pokemon can learn their primary type's moves relatively easily and can learn several of them. They can also learn basic moves (like scratch, growl, leer etc) with ease too. However when they try to learn moves outside their primary typing they have difficulty and only learn limited amount of it. Generally normal pokemon can only learn upto 2-4 moves without intensive training. Pokemon which are very well(like Ash's experienced Pokemon) trained learn 5-6 moves outside their typing. Pokemon which are very strong (near elite level like Keith or Ash's Charizard) learn upto 7-8 moves outside their typing. Pokemon which learn more than that are monstrously strong(like champions and high level elite such as Karen and Lucian). The world record of having the most moves would be 11. However just knowing the moves doesn't mean mastering them. Pokemon which learn 2-4 moves only at best master 1 or non. Pokemon which learn 5-6 moves only master 2-3 moves. Elite pokemon move master 4-6 moves. Monstrously strong Pokemon master nearly all or all moves outside their primary typing. As to not give dual typed pokemon an unfair advantage, a dual typed pokemon can only learn moves of their primary typing with ease. They will still learn moves of their secondary typing more easily. For example a Charizard will learn flamethrower far more easily than air slash, but they will learn air slash more easily than moves like brick break. However some of the flying typed pokemon will instead learn their secondary typing rather than primary since for some reason the only primary typed flying Pokemon are Noivern line, Corvinight line, Cramorant and Tornadus. All of this is just a suggestion and I won't have any problems if you don't use it. Hell continue the theme of uniqueness and create your move system or just stick with the four move limit. I won't have any problem and at the end of the day the choice is yours. Sorry if my system was confusing. Have a nice day.
Me: Hello again and thanks for you review! I actually feel that limiting is what this kind of stories need sometimes. Unless you're the author of Ashes of the Past, I see that fics haves problems moving forward with the plot and increasing difficulty of the story. That's why I try to keep it simple. Less is More (yeah I study design). About your system, it's simple in text, but keeping check on it to not let it overcome the battles is quite complicated. I don't feel safe going with battles with so many variables. Thanks for your suggestion, I like it and I highly suggest you start your own story using this system from the beginning, explaining it like this. I would certainly read it :D
blizzardblaze174: Oof it's been a while since i reviewed last but hope this makes up for it. I'm interested to see where all of these temporary companions, Sun, and Ash's plotlines all meet up again, since characters like Keith feel like there's gotta be more to them you've got in store for them. So let's see...Hala has an emboar, who is obviously going to be in the next chapter. I smell a Pignite coming...just so that Ash can do what he did in Unova again and Pignite gets some time out of the lab. I wonder if you're going to be doing this for the rest of the Grand Trials and important events so that Ash can bring out the heavy hitters from the past? Or maybe it'll be someone like Infernape.
Me: Hello again then! Yeah I think that the temporary companions will help develop a smaller story for them while not having them, as we say in Argentina, al pedo (for nothing) during other plotlines where they will stand out as not necessary. (The al pedo is very urban speech here and normally means to fart, don't use it normally haha). I'm afraid the Emboar is a card I'm saving for later, but a Crabominable that fought Professor Oak's Dragonite should suffice.
Erlben Cabuhat: Nice. Huh, I'm just wondering what Pokémon Elio's (Sun's canon name) packing besides Brionne (though it would be funny if he was one of those kids whose strongest is their starter and everyone else is just there). Tapu Koko attempted to evolve Ash's Z-Ring but failed lol, at least he tried and hey! Ash recieved a blessing from the lightning bird deity. Wow, I did not expect you to give extra Pokémon to Hala in all honesty but it's good, Heracross is a fun add-on and counter to Psychic-Types and Emboar is an interesting choice, but neat considering the bipedal pig looks like a wrestler while Hala is a Sumo-Wrestler. Nice intros to Faba and Lusamine but I think the Aether foundation is gonna keep an eye out for Ash after learning his history as a Pokémon Trainer besides "A Kid From Pallet Town with a Pikachu" and it was intersting to give Hau and Elio's last names 'Kaudan' and 'Yo' respectively. Nice mini-stories where the other characters you introduced are still in the main plot, really fun. As to answer your question, "Erlben Cabuhat" derived from things that happened when I was young, 'Benjamin' is my real first name and a big fan of the Times where Kingdoms and Monarchies existed, the title Earl seemed very fun to me when I was a kid and it was in Scandanavian for Chieftan and it was a rank of nobility, so in my Pokemon playthroughs I usually go as 'Erlben' since I was a form of leader to the team, giving them commands and what to do in battle , I decided to remove the "afor the fun of Americans getting rid of 'u' in British words (like color). As for 'Cabuhat' , I am actually a Filipino, so Lift is an English variant of Buhat (since I lift my team to be stronger and bring myself and my team up to glory in my Pokemon Playthroughs) and Ca is just Ka but with a C replacing the K. Anyways QQT! 1. Is Ash gonna catch the Pokemon he caught canonically in SM (besides Rowlet)? 2. Are you gonna introduced canon characters that didn't get to be introduced in the anime besides Elio (like Sidney, Glacia and Phoebe from Hoenn and Grimsley, Marshal and Shauntal from Unova)? 3. Also with the whole "Ash's Pokemon coming back" earlier than usual, what Pokemon are you interested in bringing back? (in my opinion, Palpitoad would be one of them, since it felt like an Adventures Red Poliwrath expy but only stayed second stage, I'd like for Palpitoad to return to evolve into Seismitoad because it would be nice!) Keep up the good work and stay safe from "the pandemic"! (Pt. 2) Also unrelated to QQT. Have you ever heard of Farla and her followers? If you do, BEWARE. If you don't, just ignore them. So the thing is those Pokemon may never see the light of the day again, except for Emboar who I tell you now will have an important role further down the road. About the Lusamine and Faba scene, I thought about making him famous, but Alola seems isolated to me about many things around the world, so only those focused on battling may recognize Ash, like Ilima. My name is more embarrassing haha Merry is a name that came from an English class where I had to do this interview with a friend. Problem is one of the characters was female. English is not my native language, so I don't know about capitalizing rules that apply or not. And I honestly don't care. Everyone can write fanfiction as they like, this is not a book that will hit the shelves next summer. It's a fanfic with horrible grammar, questionable character development and involves even more questionable battles scenes. If they want caps, great. If they want no caps, great as well :D

Ash is now taking the Grand Trial, but is troubling of which Pokémon he can use. Lana now makes an introduction and Lisia announcing a world contest is spectacular. About Meltan and Melmetal, I don't think I'll integrate them because, as they were part of Ash's original Sun and Moon team, I wouldn't know where to make them appear. Hope there is a surprise for the finale of SwSh besides the Lucario and Cinderace evolution, because the trailers made a good work of spoiling that surprise :s Onto the story, may characters are being introduced and the world expands a bit with each one. About the reviews, I would do it still, only by PM. The issue is that last chapter amounted to 3800 words of story and close to 2200 words of afterwords including reviews. What I wanted to know is if it bothered the readers as it is kind of misleading while reading the notification that a 6000 words chapters has been uploaded. Thanks! The same to you!

About Lisia announcing the Contest Extraordinaire is so amazing, too. Unlike in anime version, there are no Contests being held in Alola, so I wanna see more from Lisia in this story. I have a request if its okay with you. I want you to read a fic titled 'Pokémon: Adventures of Sun and Moon' by Switch - On - 97. It is a fic based on Sun and Moon series with some elements from US/UM series. You'll gonna love it. Our fellow reviewer, Kagayaki-sama is a fan of that fanfic.
