Last chapter of the batch!

Once again, be ready for some changes in how things go, because it's gonna be different from how things went in the anime.

So... let's go!

Mysterious TV Forest! Along Came a Black Cat?

The sound of a Trailmon riding along its rails was heard in the distance as the group walked through a rather large forest. "So it seems we've finally arrived in the Forest Region," Bokomon mused.

"Does that mean we're close to the Forest Terminal then?" Jaune asked hopefully.

"Well...it should be ahead," Bokomon said.

"...that's way too vague," Sun deadpanned.

"Are you certain you know where we're going?" Winter sighed in mild annoyance. While she appreciated Bokomon being the guide up till now for her sister and her new friends...his actual abilities to do so from what she could see were...less than ideal.

"Of course I do!" he said, holding his head high.

"Have you even ever BEEN to the Forest Terminal before?" Gyro asked in deadpan.

Bokomon was silent at that, refusing to meet anyone's gaze.

"Oh my god." Pierce groaned, palming his face.

"There's such a thing as having too much pride." Saphron noted with a sweatdrop.

"E-either way we've arrived in the Forest Region and thus we are on the right track for the Forest Terminal!" Bokomon said. "And with the 10 Spirits gathered I'm sure this world can be saved!"

"You sure about that?" Gyro mused.

"What are you skeptical about?" Sun asked curiously.

"Well, we told you that we fought those Shadow Warriors before getting here, Earth and Fire, it's pretty obvious from their name, they are supposed to be OUR shadows, the evil to our good." Gyro said.

"And… they had a second set of spirits." Weiss said, before her eyes widened, and she reached into Bokomon's waistband despite his protests, pulling out his book and starting to flip through it, until "I knew it!" she said, and tugged one of the pages away, showing it had actually been folded in half "Right here, it says that each element has TWO spirits. A human spirit, and a beast spirit."

"Wait, the page was folded in two?" Bokomon blinked in surprise as he accepted his book back, looking at the revealed page "I see… then that means we're only halfway done with getting you kids back home." he frowned.

"Wait… if THAT page was folded… any chance others were?" Yang asked after a moment.

Bokomon opened his mouth at that, about to say something, before closing it as he looked back at his book and started to leaf through it carefully, looking at each page closely.

Once he was done…

"Wow… talk about a lot of secret info." Nora said, blinking in surprise at the rough dozen secret pages that had been folded in half.

"These pages… they actually reveal the Beast spirits to us!" Bokomon said "There's a rough image of their appearance… this is perfect!" he grinned. "It even actually talks about the Shadow Warriors a bit. To give a rough summary… it seems they are creations of Lucemon. He made them to be the mortal enemies of the Warrior Ten."

"We knew that much from what Grottomon and Kagutsumon said," Pyrrha frowned. "Does your book have their names or abilities?"

Bokomon hummed, looking through his pages "It seems to have most of that info yes. Some of it is blank though. I assume the original author wasn't able to get every single piece of information."

"Well… that's better than no information, right?" Ruby asked with a shrug.

"It could certainly be worse." Ren nodded with a sigh.

Bokomon was about to read out the information when...several stomachs were heard. "...I'm hungry," Neemon said.

"I guess we HAVE been walking for quite a while," Blake said, sounding a little embarrassed.

"Well...the sun's going down so...think we should set up camp?" Pierce suggested.

"We need to secure food as well, and of course procure firewood and make the campsite." Winter listed off.

"We know, no need to tell us the obvious." Gyro said in deadpan.

Winter bristled a bit at his tone, giving him a somewhat scathing look "I am just doing my duty as the eldest here."

Gyro just looked at her dryly, before looking at Saphron "Who's ACTUALLY older, you or her?"

"Me." Saphron said with a small grin, and Winter ground her teeth in annoyance a bit.

"Okay, let's divide jobs," Yang quickly said, stopping this before it got worse. "One group can look for food, and the other can look for firewood."

"Firewood duty for us," Gyro and Pierce said with shrugs.

"We'll go with you guys." Sun said as he, Neo, Hyokomon and DemiDevimon followed after them.

"We'll look for food I guess?" Jaune said, turning to Pyrrha, Ren and Nora.

"Oh, we'll come too!" Ruby said as she, Bokomon, Neemon, Oscar and Dorumon followed.

"And that leaves us with setting up the camp." Yang said as the rest of them nodded and set about to do that.

None of them realised the small figure watching them from the trees with a smirk "Well well… this might prove to be a more interesting night than normal."

As they cleared the campsite, Saphron bit her lip in thought, until she looked to the kids "Hey… about Gyro, Pierce and Neo… is it normal for them to have their clothes like that?"

Winter sighed "I'd honestly been wondering the same myself."

Blake frowned "Well… it's not our place to pry unless they tell us, but from what I've been able to guess, none of them have had easy lives. I'm not fully sure for the brothers, but Neo… I'm pretty sure she's homeless."

"She also has nothing BUT that overgrown shirt to cover herself with. She can't talk either, and even though we only just met her this morning, we can already tell she's super clingy to Gyro considering he's probably one of the first people to ever actually care about her." Yang added.

"That's terrible…" Saphron frowned. "Can we help them?"

"The brothers...their situation is a little...complicated…" Blake worded it delicately. "But for Neo...I think we could try finding her a good home."

"Well...first things first we gotta actually get home from here," Yang sighed.

"The first thing we need to do is find her some clothes." Weiss frowned "I refuse to let her walk around with just a shirt for longer than necessary."

"I suppose that would be a priority." Winter admitted with a nod.

"Maybe I could try to make something? My girlfriend has been teaching me how to sow from time to time, so I might be able to make something." Saphron offered.

"If you can get the materials to do that, then by all means," Blake nodded with a small smile. "I think she'd appreciate it."

"Then I'll be sure to do that when I get the chance," Saphron nodded.

"We're back." Gyro announced moments later, carrying a bundle of wood under his arms, the others doing the same.

"Perfect, we just finished clearing up the campsite." Winter said, dusting her hands off "Just put that down over there."

Gyro huffed at her words, rolling his eyes before he and the others dropped the sticks next to the spot for the fire pit.

With them on the ground, Saphron immediately went to work setting up the campfire, namely setting up the initial kindling, though rather than what the brothers expected of her using the sticks to get a spark, she took out what looked like a small bottle of red colored dust. Taking out a pinch of it, she sprinkled it over the wood, and after a moment, a fire was started.

The brothers blinked in surprise at that "How the heck…?" Pierce muttered.

"Oh, right, I don't think we explained Dust." Blake realised, turning to the brothers "Boiling it down to the most simplest of terms, think of them like magic rocks that let people use the elements like that." she said, deciding to give them the easy version.

"Huh… that's pretty cool actually." Gyro mused "And you use it for everyday stuff?"

"It's also used in weapons. You can make stuff like Dust bullets to give your shots more oomph or even power up a sword with an element." Yang added.

"I see…" Gyro mused, tilting his head in thought, before the food group arrived back holding… silver colored apples "Uh… are those edible?"

"Absolutely." Bokomon said "Those are meat apples. Just roast them first and they'll taste like all sorts of different meat based meals."

Winter looked at the apples in confusion at that "But… that makes no sense." she eventually said.

"Oh, right, because living, talking toy blocks made more sense than this." Gyro said with a roll of his eyes.

"...he...makes a very good point…" Saphron admitted a bit lamely. Winter just shot her an annoyed look at that one.

Either way, the group listened to what Bokomon said, and roasted the apples. When they took some to start eating… "Wow, it really does taste like meat," Pierce couldn't help but say.

"You doubted me?" Bokomon asked, looking a little miffed.

"Hey, nothing like actually trying it to get the message through," Pierce defended.

"It's still incredible that simple foods here can become like a full meal," Pyrrha said as she took a bite of her burger flavored apple.

"It's like the Meal Cabbages we got to eat before, only they're apples," Ren mused as he bit through his steak flavored apple.

"Except these are nothing but meat while the cabbages were just about everything." Blake said as she bit into a chicken flavored one.

"Not complaining though. We're basically nomads right now, so we gotta get what we can," Jaune said, enjoying his bacon flavored apple. As they ate though, a thought crossed his mind. "Hey Bokomon, what else did you find on your book before we all got hungry?" he asked.

Bokomon stopped eating his apple at that, and opened up his book again. "Let's see...ah here we are. Yes, the Shadow Warriors were the last creations of Lucemon to be the eternal nemesis of the 10 Warriors, or rather those who would inherit their Spirits," he said. "They've appeared through the ages, occasionally with different forms and names."

"So this is just the most recent form they've taken?" Weiss frowned.

"How can they take on other forms if they're supposed to be the same being?" Winter asked. It seemed rather strange to her.

Bokomon continued reading. "It says here it's because of their true nature. They are, simply put, parasitic Spirits," Bokomon frowned.

"What's a parasite?" Ruby asked in confusion.

"I think my aunt used that word when talking about some bugs she found in the fields." Oscar said with a head tilt.

"A parasite is an organism that lives off the life of another creature. For example, there's a type of underwater creature that hops into the mouths of fishes and basically replaces the fish's tongue." Weiss explained.

Ruby, and really any in the group who wasn't aware of that, turned a bit green at the mental image.

"So the Shadow Warriors use other people as hosts then?" Gyro growled.

"According to my book? Yes. Where the Spirits we seek at least aim for the most suitable hosts and in most cases allow them to be in control, making their relationship more symbiotic, the Shadow Spirits choose whichever being suits them and proceeds to hijack their bodies for their own use. It's despicable really…" Bokomon frowned.

"Monsters," Pierce snarled.

"What about Beast Spirits? Any info on that? Besides the fact we each have one apparently." Yang asked.

Bokomon hummed, going to the relevant page "Well, it seems the name is literal. While the spirits you have right now are the Human Spirits, the other 10 are the Beast Spirits, the more wild side of your power." he said "Their overall strength seems to be a bit higher… but you gain the instincts of a beast with it, so you need to be able to control those instincts to use the power properly."

"Makes sense. Extra power can't come without a catch," Ren frowned.

"Hopefully that 'catch' won't be too much to handle though," Weiss mused, the line worrying her for some reason.

"Whatever it is I'm sure we'll get it just fine," Nora said optimistically.

Any further conversation paused after that however as they heard rustling come from nearby, the group quieting down as they turned to the bushes, hearing the noise again as it slowly got closer, with several of them reaching for their Digivices while the Digimon who could got ready to attack.

The noise started to get louder, before a few Digimon stepped into the area.

The first was a small yellow feline shaped Digimon, large claws on his feet, a golden ring around his neck that had a green gem hanging off it, and a tuft of red hair atop his head.

The next looked like a child size falcon that had learned how to move like a human, brown feathers coating most of the body save for the wing-arms and upper torso, which were covered in green feathers, black talons for feet and long black feathers above the eyes that acted somewhat like eyebrows.

The next three were all larger than the first two, and looked like a man made of fire, a walking snowman in the shape of a bear, and a green ogre with a large bone acting as a club.

Oh, and all of them had eyes that were glowing red.

"...mind controlled victims?" Blake said dryly.

"Mind control victims," everyone agreed.

"I doubt I need to say it, but knock them out only," Winter said, pulling out her weapon.

"No arguments here," Gyro nodded as they soon evolved.

"Ok, who are these guys Bokomon?" Agneyamon asked, cracking her neck.

"Oh! I know the three big ones!" Neemon said, raising his hand "The fire guy is Meramon, the ice guy is Frigimon, and the green guy is Ogremon!"

Digimon Analyzer: Meramon

Meramon. Data Type. A Flame Digimon. A Digimon shrouded in fire, born from from the hidden Firewall of the net. While it's a violent fighter, it is a peaceful Digimon in all other circumstances. It's special attack is Burning Fist, launching a ball of fire from his hand.

Digimon Analyzer: Frigimon

Frigimon. Vaccine Type. A Snow Digimon. Its body is made up of snow and icy crystals, making it rather cold to the touch. Yet, below the icy exterior lies a warm personality… usually. Its special attack is Absolute Zero Punch, freezing whatever it hits instantly into a solid block of ice.

Digimon Analyzer: Ogremon

Ogremon. Virus Type. An Ogre Digimon. Known as the Digimon Hunter, it's said his weapon is the femur of a Digimon he defeated in battle. For all intents and purposes, Ogremon is a bandit of the Digital World, and is surprisingly intelligent compared to what his appearance would make you believe. His special attack is Fist of the Supreme King, launching a shot of formless dark energy from his fist.

"For once, he is correct." Bokomon sighed. "The smaller two though are Liollmon for the feline and Falcomon for the bird."

Digimon Analyzer: Liollmon

Liollmon. Vaccine Type. A Holy Beast Digimon. A territorial Digimon that is rarely seen in the world, so one can consider themselves lucky if they encounter one of its kind. When on alert, the fur and hair on its body produces electricity, and it starts to emit a crackling sound when threatened. Special attack is Leo Claw, tearing up the enemy with its sharp claws.

Digimon Analyzer: Falcomon

Falcomon. Vaccine Type. A Bird Digimon. A Digimon that prefers to live on tall mountains, and while his wings are too weak to properly fly, he can at the very least glide with them. His legs are quite powerful due to constantly moving around the mountains, as such he is both an excellent kicker and a great jumper. Special attack is Scratch Smash, slashing at the opponent with the claws on his wings.

"Okay, so I think we can all agree on who has to fight who," Kaleidmon said...as Ranamon went straight for Meramon and Agneyamon went straight for Frigimon, and everyone aiming to basically help however they could AND deal with whoever was left.

"We can handle these little guys." Dorumon said, stepping up and staring down Liollmon and Falcomon.

"We're basically about to gang up on them… I hope they won't hold it against us." Hyokomon said with a sweat drop as he drew his sword.

"Just make sure not to hurt them TOO badly and we should be square," Jazamon shrugged.

"Let's do this then," Bakumon said as they charged forward and well….yeah...it was NOT a hard fight, between the warriors and the Digimon and even Winter helping out in the fight...there really wasn't a chance for these random mind controlled Digimon.

But, when it looked like the Warriors were about to beat them all down…

"This should finish you!" Lowemon shouted as he ran at the trio of Digimon, all of them dazed from the previous attacks… except something suddenly fell down from the trees and grabbed onto him, and he was looking into a pair of yellow eyes on a black feline face "What the-?"

"Cat's Eye." the Digimon said in a female voice, and small waves came out from her eyes and into his… and his arms went slack as they fell to his side, his eyes gaining a glassy look to them at first "Hmm… looks like he's not as easy to control as the others."

"Pierce, what's wrong?" Wolfmon shouted, noticing his brother acting strange...and soon noticing what he had on him. "Bokomon, what's that attached to him?!"

The group turned and saw what he did as the figure soon became more visible, revealing a black cat with long ears that had purple tufts at the tip, a long tail that was purple striped with its own purple tuft, large yellow eyes, and large purple clawed gloves on the front paws.

"That's a BlackGatomon!" Bokomon said in alarm.

Digimon Analyzer: BlackGatomon

BlackGatomon. Virus Type. A Demon Beast Digimon. Should you encounter this Digimon, exercise caution, as you should with all Fallen Digimon, as being a former Holy Beast, she wields more power than most other Digimon would. A born manipulator, she is a cunning opponent who will do anything to make things go her way. Special attack is Neko Punch, striking with a lightning fast punch.

"Get off of him!" Agneyamon growled charging forward, but the BlackGatomon continued with...whatever it was doing, and right before Agneyamon reached them, she was blown back by a hit to the gut by Loweemon's staff.

"Just in time," BlackGatomon smirked. "I'll admit you're a bit stronger than the others, but not enough."

"What did you do to my brother?!" Wolfmon shouted in anger, pointing his blaster at the small Digimon, who simply smirked before getting behind Lowemon's shoulder.

"I've placed him under my control of course. How could I not when it was one of the legendary warriors after all? Though he's certainly a tough one to control, I'll give him that." she said as Lowemon's eyes, rather than fully glowing red, had red rings around the irises, and were twitching constantly, as if trying to move but unable to "But, he'll fall eventually."

"Not if I skin you first you mangy furball!" Wolfmon snarled.

"Oooh, someone's got a temper," BlackGatomon taunted. "For a Warrior of Light, you've got some delicious darkness in your heart. Just like him," she smirked. "But as much as I'd like to stay and play, I have a new servant to break in," she said as Loweemon soon leaped into the trees, carrying her with him, while the other Digimon soon fled as well.

"Wait!" Fairymon gasped, trying to give chase, but soon lost sight of them.

"No!" Wolfmon roared as he was all but ready to run head first into the darkness to get his brother back, but was stopped when Arbormon grabbed him by the arm.

"Cool it! I get you want to get Pierce back, but you saw what that thing did to him. You run ahead like that and we might end up having to fight both of you!" Arbormon gasped, struggling to keep Wolfmon back.

Wolfmon tried to break free of his hold for several moments, before he thankfully stopped, but he was still growling even when Arbormon let go of him "Damn it… DAMN IT!" he roared, and punched a nearby tree… which knocked said tree down considering how much strength he had.

Agneyamon sighed "Look, I get it, you're pissed off, and I don't blame you for that. I'd be too if she'd done that to Ruby, but we're gonna have to do this carefully if we want to kick her ass and undo whatever spell she has on all those Digimon and Pierce."

Wolfmon didn't say anything, fighting to calm himself down, before he wordlessly nodded...even if the burning anger was VERY clear in his eyes.

"For now, we need to find where they went. Our best bet is to follow them but stay together," Winter said, her voice level but serious.

"Right, our best bet is safety in numbers. Let's not waste time then," Ranamon nodded, but right as they were about to move, the moonlight disappeared as the clouds rolled in...and suddenly they saw lights coming from the barks of the trees.

"What's happening now?" Chackmon blinked in surprise.

"Oh my, it seems we've wandered into the TV Forest," Bokomon said.

"TV Forest?" Saphron asked, prompting him to elaborate.

"It's an odd forest where the trees can reveal things through their barks, though that's really all I know," Bokomon said.

"Hey, this is showing Remnant!" Gnomemon said, earning everyone's attention as they looked at the tree she was observing.

"This is Argus." Winter realised.

"Yeah, it's where I'm from." Gnomemon nodded "Ah! That's my house there!" she added, pointing at house on the corner of a street.

"This one is showing Patch." Fairymon said as she looked at another tree that showed a small island town.

"Atlas on this one." Ranamon noted, seeing the floating city of Atlas.

"And this has got to be Vacuo." Sun said, looking at a tree that showed a desert.

"And… what about this one?" Oscar said, getting a few people to look at what he was seeing, and…

"Oh my Oum…" Agneyamon breathed with wide eyes, looking at the… absolutely disgusting view of a completely industrial city with a severe case of smog in the air, and the sky was blotted out by dark green clouds for miles upon miles.

"Yep...that's where we came from alright…" Wolfmon glared at the image.

"THAT is your hometown?!" Winter gasped. "There aren't any cities THAT bad in Remnant from my knowledge."

"Whoever said I'm from Remnant?" Wolfmon deadpanned. "As we've recently figured out, the two of us are from a different world than yours, and as you can see, it stinks. Literally."

"And you wanna go back to THAT?!" Blitzmon gagged.

"Of course we don't!" Wolfmon snarled, before looking...sad. "But we have to…"

"Why do you HAVE to? If I were you guys, I'd abandon that dump in a heartbeat." DemiDevimon asked.

Wolfmon was silent for a long moment, deep in thought, before letting out a sigh, leaning into a tree "Because we don't want to leave our mom behind…"

"Your mom?" Chackmon asked in surprise.

Wolfmon nodded "She's probably waiting for us to get back… god, how long have we been in this world too?"

The others were silent at that "At least… a month, if not a few weeks over that." Kaleidmon eventually said.

The expression on Wolfmon's face was nothing short of distraught, as he leaned against one of the trees, a hand to his head, completely lost for words as his face just screamed how worried he was.

It was then he felt a hand on his shoulder, turning his head to see Agneyamon looking at him, a determined look on her face "Don't worry Gyro. I promise, we'll help you get back to your mom. I know how you feel on this level perfectly at least. Dad and Uncle Qrow are probably worried sick with me and Ruby still missing."

"Oh god everyone's probably turned Vale upside down looking for us." Arbormon realised, sharing a look with his sister.

"And Terra is probably screaming." Saphron winced, knowing how much her girlfriend worried.

"Mother and Klein are likely worried about us as well. Though I doubt they've explained it to Whitley yet." Ranamon frowned, looking to her older sister.

"Indeed. They've probably asked General Ironwood to search every single day." Winter agreed with a nod, frowning in thought, before she looked back to Ranamon "Though you don't think father would be concerned?" she asked her curiously.

Ranamon sighed "Probably only at the loss of his heir." she said, rolling her eyes "You weren't there for my birthday… but he told mother he only married her for her name and money."

"Bastard." Winter growled at that, tightening her fist.

"Jackass father too, huh?" Wolfmon muttered at hearing that, though it seemed only Kaleidmon heard him...but she didn't say anything for now.

"I guess it really is starting to set in how long we've gone...and how worried everyone would be…" Kaleidmon frowned, thinking of her own parents.

"...yeah, we need to get back quickly," Blitzmon said glumly as Chackmon put a hand on her shoulder.

"We will. But first we need to beat BlackGatomon before we can continue. We can't leave her to do as she pleases," Chackmon said.

"Let's go. We gotta get Pierce back and free the Digimon," Fairymon said as they soon set off.

The group were moving through the forest, keeping their eyes peeled for any signs of the controlled Digimon or the puppetmaster. The problem?

"Do we even know where they are?" Neemon asked.

"We were hoping we'd find a clue as we go," Hyokomon sighed.

The group frowned at that, before Ranamon blinked. "Wait...the TVs show things, right? Do you think they could help us find them?" she asked.

"Then… we just gotta figure out how to change the channel." Gnomemon said, knocking on one of the trees.

"I THINK I might be able to do that." Arbormon mused before touching one of the trees and closing his eyes, trying to channel his control over plants. It was...strange but eventually he felt his control grabbing hold and started 'adjusting the channel', which started to spread to the other TVs, revealing what appeared to be a large cinema made out of wood.

In said cinema, they could see quite a few Digimon, more than what they had encountered at least, which Bokomon quickly listed off as NiseDrimogemon, FlyBeemon, Guardromon, MetallifeKuwagamon and BattleGreymon. Of course, while that was important, there was something else that had their attention. Namely the fact BlackGatomon was sitting on a lounge chair made for her size, with several Digimon carrying her, and on top of that she had Lowemon down on a knee...and was using his head as a footstool.

"...I'm gonna skin that cat alive and hang her fur on our wall," Wolfmon snarled.

"Belay that, she's saying something." Arbormon said, before turning up the volume so they could hear her.

"... and then I'm going to rub it in his smug stupid face. But… I think before that, I'm going to need to… unwind a bit." she said, before looking down at Lowemon with a leer "I think you'll do nicely once I finally hit Ultimate again. Count yourself lucky that you'll get to be the plaything of the most beautiful Digimon in existence."

"Ugh! What is WRONG with you?!" a pair of voices said, and the view conveniently panned to the source of the voices, revealing a pair of kids who were tied up and hanging from the ceiling. One was a black haired boy with green eyes wearing a pair of tan colored pants with a brown t-shirt and a pair of brown boots, a rattlesnake tail coming out his lower back, while the other was a dark blue haired girl with red eyes, wearing a black spaghetti strap shirt with a red dress that went to her knees and some simple shoes, while her arms had white feathers on them. "What is it with you and having...having...having your head in the gutter all the time?!" both shouted.

"Wait, Rusty and Aile?! They're here too?!" Kaleidmon gasped in shock.

"You know them?" Jazamon asked.

"They're friends of mine," Kaleidmon said. "I didn't know they were in Vale too...or anywhere with a train station."

"And from the looks of it they got caught," Bakumon frowned. "Looks like we just got two more people we need to save."

"Right. I'll try and see if I can find a way to show us where to go," Arbormon nodded and eventually some of the TVs went off, with the ones remaining...making a sort of path for them.

"Perfect, now I have a cat to scalp… sorry if you feel targeted Blake." Wolfmon said, before pausing and looking at Kaleidmon.

Kaleidmon waved it off "It's fine. I got what you mean anyway, and I don't blame you considering what she wants to do to your brother."

"Wait, what does she want to do to him?" Fairymon and Oscar asked together, tilting their heads in confusion.

"We'll tell you when you're at least 12… this is LITERALLY too young for you." Wolfmon deadpanned at the two.

"I guess giving her an actual number will make her stop asking all the time." Agneyamon muttered, glancing at her sister who seemed to reluctantly accept what Wolfmon said.

"Alright, let's go save them," Arbormon said as he let go of the tree bark, the path he'd made ready to guide them.

"Okay so when we reach them, what's the plan? Preferably not guns blazing," Kaleidmon asked.

"As much as I want to do that…" Wolfmon growled a bit before shaking his head "But no, your right. We're gonna play this smart if we want to break her spell on everyone. Arbormon, think you'd be able to control that cinema they were in considering it was made of wood?"

"Possibly. Is that all your plan entails though?" Arbormon asked.

"No, but it hinges on you being able to do that." Wolfmon said with a frown.

"Right… let's hope I can then." Arbormon sighed.

"I'll try to think of another plan then." Winter said, shaking her head.

"Suit yourself ice queen. Not like we'll follow it." Wolfmon said, brushing past her and walking ahead.

"A rather...difficult person, isn't he?" Winter frowned, looking towards Ranamon, who sighed.

"I'll admit he and his brother aren't my first choice for ideal company, but all things considered, I think they could have been a lot worse," Ranamon said. "And considering they ARE the strongest fighters on our side...I'm not complaining," she said, before adding, "And for all its worth, he DOES have a personal stake in this right now, so he is QUITE serious right now."

"Still, his plan could use some work." Winter frowned.

Ranamon sighed "Sister… you didn't even HEAR his plan. Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be an efficient one." she pointed out, before following after Wolfmon.

Winter was surprised at hearing that from her sister, but didn't say anything as she followed along.

It wasn't long before they reached the end of the path of TVs and found what appeared to be a massive tree with an opening into the bark...which just screamed 'lair'.

"...they couldn't be more obvious if they tried," Agneyamon said dryly.

"Let's be careful though, in case they have a lookout of some kind." Chackmon said.

"How would we tell though? The entrance is pretty dark." Bakumon pointed out.

"Leave that to me." Gnomemon said, placing her hands to the ground and closing her eyes, focusing herself, before she opened them "No vibrations near the entrance, we're good."

"Okay then, here's the plan," Wolfmon said, getting everyone to come closer.

BlackGatomon hummed as she crossed her legs on Lowemon's head "Ah… this is just perfect." she said, pleased with herself "Now then… all I need to do is think of the best way to build my power back up." she mused "I think I'd prefer something quick that lets me jump right back to Ultimate, in case the bastard breaks free."

However, before she could monologue further, there was a sudden shake of the place they were in. "...huh, must have been an earthquake," she mused before turning to some of her slaves. "Go check to make sure nothing fell down. And if anything did, make sure the place is spotless," she said dismissively.

They started to move as they were asked, before suddenly parts of the walls started to grow out and snare several of them, even Meramon who somehow wasn't able to burn the wood. "What's going on?!" BlackGatomon growled, narrowly evading several newly grown tree branches.

Even so they continued trying to grab at anyone in range, especially her. "Minions, defend your queen!" she ordered, and whoever wasn't caught acted quickly and started fighting back, including Lowemon who conveniently hadn't been caught by the branches. As a result, he was able to free some of them, allowing them to fight back against the branches that continued to grow and attack.

While this was going on, nobody noticed the opening that was opened near the roof, which allowed Fairymon and Blitzmon to fly into the building and giving a 'shh' motion to the two kids, Fairymon quickly cutting the ropes and allowing Blitzmon to catch them and move them to alcoves that grew out of the walls.

With them secure, another opening opened at the roof...and all the entrances were sealed with earth or by being covered with wood. At that point the group dropped in, and in the midst of their confusion, they were caught completely off guard as the group began their attack. The larger Digimon were the first to get hit, as the Warriors struck them first, aiming to knock them out. At the same time, Jazamon, Hyokomon, Dorumon, DemiDevimon and Bakumon went for Liollmon and Falcomon, quickly subduing them.

The larger Digimon though weren't as easy to take down, and were soon fighting back, forcing the Warriors to defend themselves at the same time. Of course, Wolfmon went straight for BlackGatomon...but unsurprisingly, she kept her 'best' near her, namely Lowemon.

Wolfmon clashed against his brother as he got in his path, blocking the twin blades with his staff while he growled "Stupid cat… I'm going to make sure there's not a scrap left of your data!"

"Oooh, so scary," BlackGatomon chuckled. "Try saying that after you've beaten my minions."

Wolfmon didn't say anything, as he broke the blade lock, and kicked Lowemon in the gut, pushing him back. "Sorry bro, but I'm gonna help you even if I have to knock you around a bit. Don't worry, I'll be sure to skin the cat for you."

Lowemon unsurprisingly didn't respond, but like it or not he had to fight back, and with the two fighting together all the time...it was a bit of a stalemate as both of them knew each other's moves, blocking and countering each other nearly move for move.

Behind them, the fight against the other controlled Digimon was going rather frantically, but once again they'd been able to adjust to be a more...favorable matchup. "Fire Darts!" Agneyamon called out, hitting Frigimon with several hits, causing the Digimon to fall over swirly eyed from getting the fire shots to the chest and face.

"Aqua Needle!" Ranamon called out, pelting Meramon with the attack, the flame Digimon trying to defend, but as it was, a lot of steam was coming off of him as parts of his flame were weakened before he fell over as well.

"Frozen Clinking!" Chackmon added, as he froze the others in place, while Fairymon came in with a Tornado Gamba which...knocked them silly and before long they were all out.

"We're done with these guys!" Blitzmon said cheerfully as the rest of the group came over...and now BlackGatomon wasn't looking so confident.

"Good." Wolfmon grunted as he clashed against his brother again "Jaune, now!"

"You got it!" Arbormon nodded as he slammed his foot down, and parts of the tree rose up around Lowemon, grabbing his legs before rising up and covering more of his body, until he was unable to move.

"Finally." Wolfmon sighed, moving his swords away from his brother, before turning his gaze onto BlackGatomon… and put on the best slasher smile he could "Now for you…"

"Uh...you wouldn't actually do that to a lady, right?" BlackGatomon gulped.

"I don't know what fossil you read that from, but as far as I'm concerned, this is where I hope you have 9 lives," Wolfmon said, basically grinding his blades together, creating a few energy sparks.

BlackGatomon's eyes widened, before they narrowed "Alright, fuck this. These idiots are NOT worth my life." she said, before turning around and, somewhat surprisingly, firing lasers from her eyes as she started running, blasting a hole in the tree just big enough for her to slip out of.

And as soon as she was gone, the ones she had been controlling that were still conscious went slack for a moment, before they all slowly came to.

"Oh god… thank everything that's finally over." Lowemon groaned, the tree growing around him receding and releasing him.

"You alright bro?" Wolfmon asked, putting a hand on his brother's shoulder.

"Yeah… I'm good." Lowemon sighed "I was actually conscious for all of that since she got me under her control… and on that note…" he said, before running to a trashcan and pulling the lower part of his helmet down… and started emptying his guts into it.

"Was it that bad?" Saphron winced as she'd gotten in as well.

"It was and more…" Rusty and Aile said from where Blitzmon left them, to which said Warrior flew over and helped them down to the ground.

"I wish brain bleach was a thing…" Lowemon groaned once he finished, pulling his mask back up.

"Honestly, it might just be in this world." Wolfmon sighed, patting his brother's back.

"So… think you guys are gonna stay like that for the rest of the night or are you good now?" Sun asked.

The warriors all stopped and blinked at that, before looking at themselves "Huh… was honestly forgetting because of how comfortable I was feeling like this." Agneyamon admitted, before they all reverted back to their real forms.

Obviously, Rusty and Aile were surprised… even more so when they saw who was in Kaleidmon's place "Blake?!" they gasped in surprise.

"Hey guys." the cat faunus smiled at them "So, what brought you two into the digital world?"

"Ah...well...the message DID say this would decide our fates so…" Aile said sheepishly.

"We kinda got curious and snuck away from our parents…" Rusty said, scratching the back of his head.

"So, like most of us then." Yang noted, and several of the others laughed in embarrassment at being called out like that.

"A-anyway, thanks for freeing us from that crazy cat." Rusty said "She was just… really gross with how her mind kept going in the gutter."

"And thank you for freeing US as well." somebody else said, making them turn a bit to see Liollmon and Falcomon come up to them, while the rest of the mind controlled Digimon were getting up "She got us by surprise a few nights ago as we were sleeping you see." the small lion explained.

"Yes, and we were only trying to help Rusty and Aile get back home as well. But, finding a Trailmon bound for Earth is easier said than done." Falcomon noted with a sigh.

"If that's the case, why not come with us?" Oscar offered. "We're all trying to find a way home."

"Considering we're carrying the Spirits, we'll probably find a way back eventually," Jaune added.

The two kids looked at each other, before nodding and turning back to the group "In that case, we'll come with you guys. We'll feel safer as a big group I think." Aile said.

"Welcome aboard then." Gyro smirked at the two "Next stop should finally be the Forest Terminal."

And there we go!

Yeah, this is how we decided to make this chapter go.

I'm sure you'll figuring out what exactly the hints are aiming for, but if you do... try to keep quiet for those who don't get it, alright?

But, we also find Rusty and Aile! And yes, those two are going to be a lot more common in Twin Heroes fics from now on.

Also, don't worry about Neo, we're going to give her a way to actually speak soon so she can finally have dialogue rather than occasional actions.

Anyway, look forward to the future, because...

The Legend Evolves.
