Koro-sensei's POV: Koro-sensei observed Karma, wondering what he could do to break the boy out of his dazed, distressed state.

He needed to get Karma back into his natural character. When was Karma acting the most like himself?

Koro-sensei looked at Karma. Maybe when-

"Hey, carrothead!" Karma looked up, the dullness in his eyes replaced with something... alive.

It was Asano.

"It wasn't like I was concerned or anything..."

The two boys began talking and Koro-sensei had an idea.

"Asano, can I talk to you?" Asano turned around, eyes instantly narrowing.

"Oh it's the octopus teacher."

Koro-sensei nodded, "my, you've heard of me! Didn't think I was that famous hehehe."

Asano rolled his eyes, "what do you want?"

Koro-sensei turned sober, "I want you to join class 3-E."

There was silence and then Asano burst out laughing.

"You're kidding!" He exclaimed, "join the dumps? Very funny but I'm perfectly happy in class 3-A, the superior class."

"You may be happy but someone you might've gotten close to isn't," Koro-sensei commented.

Asano scoffed, "I haven't gotten close to any-" he broke off suddenly and was quiet. Good. He knows who I'm talking about.

"How about we make a deal," Koro-sensei suggested, his eyes gleaming.

Asano looked away, "what makes you think I even care about trash in class E?"

Koro-sensei smiled, "I don't know, maybe you'll care if you heard one of them, the one you're close to, tried to take his own life."

Asano looked at Koro-sensei, shocked for a second but regaining composure.

"Well, doesn't seem like... any of my business."

Still, Koro-sensei knew he was slowly winning Asano over.

"You can save him from attempting another time."

Asano sighs, "whatever. How would joining class 3-E help that?"

"It would give you two time together. I want you to teach him that there is more to life," Koro-sensei could see that Asano was still thinking about it.

Asano looked at Koro-sensei.

"I'll talk to my dad about it. If you tell him anything about me joining class 3-E for Akabane I will definitely not join, got it?"

Koro-sensei nodded, "alright. I won't."

Asano is about to turn and leave when he stops, remembering something.

"What were you going to say the deal was?" smart kid

"The deal is if you join Class 3-E and save Karma, I will let you kill me at the end of the semester."

"Wow, you're really ready to retire that early?" Koro-sensei shrugged, "I've been thinking about it. I didn't come here to end the world, I came here to teach."

"How noble of you. If I say I'm going to try to assassinate you, I'm pretty sure my father will let me join the dregs and for no other reason. We have a deal."

Koro-sensei held out a tentacle for Asano to shake and, quickly, Asano attempted to cut it with a blade. Koro-sensei just watched the tentacle fall, amused.

"Funny, Karma did something similar to that when I first met him, welcome to Class 3-E."

Asano's POV: Asano went to the teacher's lounge and knocked on the door.

"What is it?" Someone asked, not even opening the door.

"I need to speak with my father, Asano Gakuho." The door opened. It was Asano's father.

Asano's father looked pretty similar to Asano, they both had the same violet eyes but he had brown hair where Asano had strawberry blond hair. He was wearing a brown formal business suit.

"Gakushu," he said, addressing Asano by his first name.

"What is it?"

"I want to transfer to class 3-E," Asano said simply.

Asano's father didn't even look surprised.

"Yes, yes you can. Take down that octopus-or human, whichever one it is- and then you will reside back to class 1-A. Move alone, now. I have work to do."

Then he slammed the door.

Well, that was easy, Asano thought. He must really hate class 3-E

Karma's POV: "Class quiet down!" Koro-sensei called, "we have a new student!"

Everyone instantly stopped talking, their curiosity getting the best of them, trying to crane their necks to see what the new student looked like. Everyone gasped as the 'new' student stepped into their classroom.

"My name is Asano Gakushu," the strawberry color haired boy said.

"What's Asano doing here?" Karma mumbled.

The class, once again, erupted with talking.

"Sooooo, where's the 'new student'?"

"It couldn't possible be-"

"Gakushu Asano of class 3-A-"

"the son of Gakuho Asano-"

"the board chairman!"

"Maybe it's Asano's twin!"

"Those are very slim odds, his twin just happens to have the same name, look exactly like the 'other' Asano, and never had been seen at school until now?"

"Well better than believing ASANO came to our class as a transfer. Then the whole system would break down, his father would never allow it!"

Asano was just standing there, pretty much oblivious to it all.

"You guys to know that I can hear, right?"

The class all jumped and Asano smiled at them.

"I am the new student. I do not have any siblings. And if you have any questions ask them one at a time," Asano said these words exaggeratedly very slowly, as if explaining them to toddlers.

"Oh yeah and close your mouths, it makes you look stupider than you actually are, which is saying something. This will be the most I'll say to-" he paused, as if calculating.

"99% of you. The 1% is saved for people worth my time. Pleasure to meet you."

Half of the class was holding their punches and the other half still had no idea what was happening.

"I'M GOING TO KILL HIM! LET ME AT HIM!"

"So Asano is the new student?"

"I'm so confused!"

Koro-sensei clapped his hands tentacles.

"Asano, go sit next to Karma," Koro-sensei ordered.

Asano smiled and went over to were Karma was sitting.

The class lapsed into a tenacious silence.

Karma looked at the old octopus, trying to decipher what his motive was.

Why would Koro-sensei put Asano next to me?
