Whew! That one was a tough one to get through. Took me a while to get over it…

Here comes the next world! Just as before...Can you figure out the next world? This one might be a bit difficult but I think you all can do it! (disclaimer at the end of the chapter).

Chapter 21: Separated

Everyone was on high alert, sounds of alarm ringing in every nook and cranny. This had only occurred once and it would not happen again. The intruders would be found and this time they would not survive.

As a barrage of hurried steps rushed down an alleyway, the owners failed to notice the two shadows hidden behind boxes of an enclosed portion of the alley. The two waited for the exact moment before they rushed away, quickly looking for their next hiding spot.

"Why the hell haven't we changed form, Shin!?" Max was quick on his feet, following the short purple statured alien past white walls.

"I do not understand it myself, Max." Shin stated. "There!" They ducked into an abandoned room, shutting the door behind them.

"This is just GREAT!" Max, now in his original goofy-like form, leaned against the closed door while taking a much needed breath. "We don't even know if Hikari made it here, wherever the hell this place is!"

Shin had a thought. His cloaking abilities should have worked, yet the moment he and Max had stepped into this new realm, those abilities had vanished completely and now they were pretty much running for their very lives. Hikari was nowhere to be seen, lost somewhere in this realm of high white walls and high security.

"There can only be one reason why my transformative abilities are not working here." It made no sense but it was the only conclusion he could come up with. "And if I am correct, we are in serious danger."

"Great...So...Out with it." Max huffed at his counterpart.

Shin frowned.

"My powers do not work in one specific place...Though this is a different realm, it still would make the most sense."

"Alright so where are we!?" Max was impatient...At any moment those black clothed people with swords at their hips were going to find them and possibly kill them.

Shin stared at Max.

"We are...Most likely...in this realm's version...of the place in which all mortal souls go before they are reincarnated…The spirit realm."

"Crap." Max swore. "What if Hikari is out there all alone!?"

"I doubt she is here." Shin told him. "Most likely she is somewhere else."

"Well if she's not here, then where the heck is she!?" Max was getting aggravated by the second.

Shin sighed.

"I am...Not sure…"

Meanwhile, Hikari looked at her surroundings carefully. She was in some kind of...city, with buildings of all sizes.

"Shin? Max?" She called but her companions were nowhere to be found. Before she took another step forward, an immense howl took to the skies. She covered her ears, not wanting to hear that horrible sound.

Ooh...You smell...Delicious…

Hikari froze at the voice...A large shadow engulfed her own. Slowly she gazed behind her and nearly screamed.

A huge monster with a white face...Was staring her down.

Such a delectable soul you have… The voice was coming from the monster but it's white face was not moving. Sharp teeth were brandished into a horrific smile.

I'm going to enjoy munching on your soul...The thing lunged at her and at this point Hikari did scream. In a mad dash she huffed it, running away from the creature and its tantalizing jaws.

Could this be a new version of the Nobody? No way...This was something much sinister. She dove around a corner and continued her survival jog but that soon would not last. The thing would catch up to her soon.

Wait a minute? Why am I running?

She halted her steps and faced the creature dead on. It made to stand before her. One creature should be an easy target for her.

However in this realm, her luck appeared to run out.

Before she could blink, Hikari found herself surrounded by 13 of the horrible creatures, each one ready to strike her down. Immediately the Keyblade was brandished though this time the Key of Responsibility sprang forth.

Mind if I borrow your power, Noct? She mentally called to the key and it responded in kind.

The black monsters lunged, but it was too late...A blue light surrounded Hikari and her body floated into the air. The blue light morphed into weapons of various sizes and abilities.

Nice...She gripped the first weapon, a sword. It's all you Noct.

One by one her enemies fell at the hands of the true king's borrowed powers. Each weapon was its own blow, it's own mind and each one made its mark. When all were vanquished her feet gently touched the ground, the weapons vanished from existence. She stared at the Realm of Responsibility's Keyblade.

Thanks...Your majesty.

"What the-!?" Turning she saw two people staring at her, their expressions clearly in a state of shock. The male with orange hair got out of it quickly, holding his black blade in both palms.

"Oi…" He stared hard, ready in case she was about to strike them. "Who the hell are you?"

The keyblade vanished from Hikari's grip and she gave a long sigh.

Well...So much for 'world order'...
