Hey you try and slash anything above the ankles when your on the ground, also pretty sure she wasn't caring about his financial issues there.
Mr?: yo nice to see you Mr?! Yep Murieann was always gonna find out the quickest as she was the one avidly targeting Touma. Well I hope the reason I gave her for not using poison made sense. She may be a warrior, but she's not afraid to try and fix her wrong doings. Tsuchi is absolutely gonna tease her I'll at least admit that.

Chapter 10
Maiden's Touch
Index, Kazakiri, Ituwa and Othinus were in the middle of battle with a family of Grindylows when the Maiden took control of Gentle Annie in order to wield her power the true battle had just begun.
Index realized that the first strike at them by the grindylows was used to allow the Maiden who was likely hiding within their tree's branches to sneak into the batting cages where Index had left Gentle Annie, or the Black Annis.
The maiden smiled and said "Sorry I couldn't play with you all you sooner, while guiding willing conscious fey using my magic is fairly easy it took a bit to control one who was unconscious and thus unable to willingly obey."
She then pointed at Index who quickly muttered with her spell Intercept "CLOLSITPT (Change Location of Lightning Strike to The Possessed Tree)" Kazakiri however kicked Index out of the way and got struck by the lightning that would have hit Index. "Hyouka!" Index cried out "why did Spell intercept not work?" she was shocked. Kazakiri stumbled a bit but her burns scars and tattered clothing quickly mended itself.
The maiden laughed "Because I'm not the one casting it silly I'm merely telling the one casting it who the target it and she can't hear you as she's unconscious" the Maiden grinned savagely as Index's eyes widened in realization.
Index ducked just as the one of the Grindylow's branches swung overhead and Kazakiri blocked a second one causing it to get knocked to the side making the Grindylow lose balance for a moment. Itsuwa charged towards the Grindylow but leapt back as a lightning bolt struck at her position.
Gentle Anne was next to the Maiden swaying and unconscious but standing, her own finger pointed at Itsuwa's prior position.
Because she was the one casting the spell and not the Maiden, Index couldn't use spell intercept. Not directly at least, and with the Grindylows still in play she didn't have much time to think.
The Grindylow tree swung two of it's branches at Kazakiri while Swinging it's third at Index, at the same time as the Maiden had Gentle Anne target Ituswa.
Kazakiri leapt over the first branch but then grabbed hold of the second and used it's momentum to launch herself back at the Grindylow tree's trunk
Index lept back and to the side to avoid the third.
Kazakiri then kicked the Grindylow tree's trunk and caused it to slam into the ground and jumped back as it swung one of it's arms in retaliation
Ituwa then charged at the Maiden this time who once again had Gentle Anne target her. Itsuwa dodged to the side before a bolt of lighting struck her position. She was much closer now
Index was in the meantime figuring out a way to counter the Maiden "If I can't change the strike location of the lightning directly." "CYTTTPT(Change Your Target to The Possessed Tree)" this time Gentle Anne pointed her finger at the Grindylow tree even though the Maiden was pointing at Itsuwa and a bolt of lightning Struck it
"Kelvin! Lincoln!" shouted the Grindylow known as Thames
The now burnt and scorched tree roared in a two fold voice "GRAAAHHHHH!" and stumbled back.
Thames glared at Index, her hair flashing once again to reddish-purple and the moss on her flaring to a rotted purple color and charged pulling out a silver rapier only for Kazakiri to leap in and block her. The maiden was slightly startled and ducked sideways just as Itsuwa tried to grab her before saying "Well, we were expecting you to figure it out, you are the Index" she giggled pulling out a small Iron dagger and deflected Itsuwa's spear with it before retreating a few steps back and taking two small objects from her pocket and placing them both in her ears. "But we came prepared"
Index deadpanned as she jumped out of the way of the Grindylow named Esca lunged at her with a spear he pulled from his back tipped with a silver blade. "Earplugs!? Thats the most mundane way to avoid Spell intercept I've ever seen!" however it was effective as now that the maiden was unable to hear her she could not effect her spells with spell intercept.
The maiden smiled and glanced at Index Itsuwa and Kazakiri in quick succession. No longer using her finger to point as it was merely to hide the fact that It was Gentle Anne directing the lightning and not her. In order of who she glanced at first a blast of wind was sent at Index, a bolt of Lightning at Kazakiri and another blast of wind at Kazakiri.
The grindylow tree swung a branch at all three in order to narrow their escape options. This caused Index to need to leap sideways and forward, Kazakiri to duck under and roll, and Itsuwa to jump over and backwards.
However that left them all wide open and the maiden used that to have Gentle Anne aim a lightning strike on Index, and a blast of air at Kazakiri and Itsuwa
Index closed her eyes expecting to feel a billion volts running through her veins. But even after hearing the clap of thunder she never felt the pain of electricity running through her body.
"I don't know what the hell is happening. but I'm not gonna let you hurt people that Idiot cares about." a familiarly annoying voice spoke.
Index opened her eyes to see a large plate of glowing white hot metal over her head with a metal pipe touching it, and the ground. She saw similar plates guarding Itsuwa and Kazakiri.
"Short hair? What are you doing here!" shouted Index to the girl now standing in front of her.
She had short chestnut hair brown eyes and was wearing the girls uniform of a Certain highschool, electricity sparked from her bangs and she was glaring at the maiden, this was Misaka Mikoto or as Touma called her, Biri Biri.
"My school was attacked by a tree and I was rushed out the door, I then went to check on the idiot to make sure he got out. But I find his classroom a wreck with him nowhere to be seen. I was then unable to make my way to his house for some odd reason. This morning noticed odd weather patterns that abruptly stopped. So when I noticed those weird patterns again I immediately went to investigate. And what do you know?" Misaka spoke in an irritated manner "Some child is using some poor old woman's unconscious body to call down lightning strikes onto three people who that Idiot cares about."
The maiden's eyes grew fearful for a second "The number three level five? Railgun!? I will admit I am not prepared for this'.'
She then had Gentle Anne launch 5 gusts of wind at Misaka who pulled up a bench she tore out of the ground. It was blasted to pieces by the highly pressurised wind and fell apart.
The Grindylow tried to strike at her from behind but she flipped a coin and launched it at 3 times the speed of sound through its trunk, causing the grindylows within to cry in pain.
Itsuwa then fell back and used her Spear and salt to exorcise the two remaining branches expelling the two remaining Grindylows both looking similar to their brother Esca but one with pale blue colors and the other with greenish blue colors.
The now unpossessed tree fell over and hit the ground with a crash as there was nothing left controlling it.
Kazakiri Used the opportunity Misaka had given her to launch Thames at her brother Esca and they both slammed into a building wall falling unconscious.
At this point it had begun to pour and Index, Kazakiri, Itsuwa, Othinus and Misaka all turned to the Maiden
The Maiden glanced at Gentle Anne, and then the Grindylows and clicked her tongue "I'm sorry my dear beautiful fey, but I will need to return home" she then whipped out a small stick made of silver. And vanished Gentle Anne collapsing to the ground as the one controlling her was out of range.
"She must have decided it wasn't worth the risk to battle all of us now that we would be able to easily defend against most of her attacks" noted Othinus
Misaka nodded "luckily that lightning acted like normal lightning when it was sent down. I'm still getting used to the idea of magic and don't know much about it"
A little while after Anna Sprengle had attacked them Misaka asked Index about magic as she could no longer deny its existence. Why she denied it to begin with Index didn't understand.
"So what kind of shit have you and that Idiot gotten into this time?" Misaka said while looking around "Speaking of, where is that idiot?"
